Happy holidays to all! Wishing you all the happiness in the world every day! We hope all your wishes come true as we enter the new year!
Our wish is… to get the certification that we've been waiting for to release Sandrock! Hahaha! We hope that it’ll happen very soon. In the meantime, we have some new content to share with you!
More Side Quests With new quests added, we‘re getting to learn more about Sandrock residents. Making friends and hanging out with them makes for a fun, memorable time in Sandrock!
Ernest Makes His Appearance Let’s welcome the first of the two 400K wishlist goal NPCs arriving in Sandrock: Ernest, who is an author from Atara and intrigued by Logan’s tale! What tales of his own will he spin?
More Recipes Now, fresh new Sandrock dishes are waiting for you to discover! You can cook up combinations of raw ingredients to figure recipes out yourself or learn them from the locals. Just ask others about their recipes to build camaraderie and perhaps learn a new dish that can be enjoyed for its benefits or presented as a lovely gift to another Sandrocker!
New Powerful Machines Like in Portia, Fire-Powered Generators can provide power to other machines! They’re a secret weapon for Builders to manage their machines efficiently and can boost workshop productivity. And the new Sorting Machine will help you get precious stones/minerals from common rocks.
Breakable Chests A pro Builder should always try to make use of the materials around them. Of course treasures are hidden in chests, but don’t forget, chests themselves are useful things! Now you can break them down to use as resources!
And there are more things that are optimized or added, such as the tweaked quicksave function and the new hairstyles, outfits, bunny hutch, etc. The full list of changes will be available in the changelist soon.
As always, thanks for your support! Whatever you celebrate, may your holidays be happy and safe~
A common sentiment about hairstyle customization is: “The more customization options, the better.” We hear you! We’re trying our best to create lots more styles with better diversity. Some of you may have previewed some of the hairstyles in the Demo, but there weren’t many. But now, more features have been added to the hairstyle customization, all of them mix-and-matchable and without gender limitations!
Currently, hairstyles are designed in three parts: the main body, the bangs, and the ponytail. Each piece can be picked independently, however you like.
As a consequence of that customizability… you can end up with some pretty wacky styles!
Hmm… actually, this one’s got real-world references. Hahaha~!
Because of the new hairstyle system in Sandrock, hats won’t completely change your hairstyle as Portia did. In Sandrock, hats only impact the parts that would logically be hidden, such as a cap hiding only your high ponytail or Sandgear hiding all of your hair.
You’ll also be able to feel the wind whipping about your beautiful locks! In Sandrock, the wind speed and whether you’re running around or just standing idly will change how and how much your hair swings. Physics! 🍃💨
And we’re trying to add many more options for you~ Special thanks to our Kickstarter backers for contributing a lot of new nice designs, along with more styles of our own to come. Some of these have been challenges to figure out how to stylize and model without having a prohibitively high polygon count, but the challenge is worth it to bring a whole new level of diversity and customization to help you be who you want to be in Sandrock.
Jump for joy - two brand-new characters will make their appearance in Sandrock as romance candidates thanks to everyone’s support on Steam! 😍
The bachelor, Ernest, is an author from Atara, intrigued by Logan’s tale. The bachelorette, Jane, is a teacher returning home. What stories will they have to share if you get closer to them…?
