WishlistMy Time at Sandrock, the next My Time game, and help unlock more features for everyone! If we can reach the following goals by the time that Early Access launches in Spring 2021, we’ll add those features into Sandrock! We heard your disappointment for not reaching many of the great Kickstarter stretch goals during the campaign, so we’re doing this as a way to help reach those goals now! We’re at 92,000 wishlist already, so we’re getting close to the first goal!

Brand New Combat System in Sandrock Once upon a time in Portia, there was a very simple combat system... -- Too simple, in fact! We wanted the combat system to be simple and casual; punishing gameplay mechanics didn't really feel right in Portia. The simple hit and dodge system we ended up with was fine and low pressure, but by the end of a long playthrough, pretty much every player was fed up with it. So, we're trying some new things to freshen up the combat in My Time at Sandrock, without giving up on our original philosophy of casual fun.
The difference players will notice first, of course, is the visual upgrade to the attacks! All of the moves in Sandrock will be fancy and fun to see executed. The main mechanical difference we've added to Sandrock is a "break" system, where players will be able to "break" an enemy's defense, then go all out and wail on 'em! Each enemy will have a level of "toughness" that can be broken through, and certain enemies will be easier to "break" with certain weapons or effects (more on this later). When an enemy's "toughness" reaches 0, an explosive visual signifier will play, their defense will be broken, and then the enemies will flinch at your attacks! We think this will make combat a bit more thoughtful and fun without weighing people down, and also create a more satisfying rhythm of gameplay for outdoor exploration and dungeon crawling.
Many players complained that combat in Portia is monotonous due to the binary toolkit: you can either attack or roll, and that's about it. The only feature we had that gave any room for creativity was limiting the number of rolls a player could make with the stamina bar. Beyond improving things with the 'break' system, we've brought in some experienced combat designers and programmers to help out our team and bring more creativity to combat; they began working on the Sandrock combat system in March 2019 and they've been hard at work since! Let's look at some early-stage examples from My Time at Sandrock. First, we've made attacking and dodging more fluid:
Next, here's an example of creative solutions we're adding into combat: This charming fellow here has a number of hammer smashing attacks he wants to flatten you with, but he's a bit clumsy, so you can bait him into hitting electric panels, which will shock him and break his guard! Little things like this we think will give combat more flavor while still keeping it casual.
More on the "toughness" and "break" systems we mentioned before: each piece of equipment will have lots of randomized attributes that can be influenced by the quality of materials you use to make them. In addition to having different feels to them, different weapons will 'break' certain enemies more quickly and can even gain additional 'break' effectiveness from other pieces of equipment, rewarding players who build better equipment with the ability to cut through enemies' defenses like butter!
Other things we're trying out include a new skill tree, unique weapon attacks, and attributes that increase as you spend more time using a tool or weapon... If this is all starting to sound complicated, don't worry! Keeping things casual is still a core aspect of our design; as we add all this new stuff, we won't punish players harshly for opting out. Mastery of the new combat systems will just allow for deeper dungeon exploration: areas that are not necessary to complete the main story. Those who do dare to adventure deeper may stumble upon some very fine treasures however... That's all for now! As we move onward and into the beta, we look forward to testing out our new mechanics with you and getting feedback from our players! Welcome back to the future where speed, strategy and intensity are sweeping across the world with fast-growing Sport; Super Buckyball Tournament. In addition to our six characters, two stadiums and mission system featured during the game’s open alpha earlier this year, the preseason will include:
• New challenger Samba: This guy is the first Chimera on the field and being half tiger, he is someone to watch out for. He is now one of the strongest characters in the game and his ultimate which gives him a massive speed boost, makes him hard to catch up with.
• 2 Arcade modes: Dodgeball & Mayhem These to modes will be unlocked when you reach lvl 6 and will rotate every 24 hours, meaning one mode will be available to enjoy every day.
• Dodgeball challenges you to avoid getting hit by two balls while making sure those balls don’t rest on your side of the field for more than 12 seconds.
• Mayhem is a super-powered version of Standard mode, as abilities charge three times faster and players take control of random characters each time a goal is scored.
• New lobby with cool new UI and animated backgrounds.
• In-game background music has finally been added and with new sound effects for all characters, the game should definitely be experienced with the volume turned up.
• a comprehensive collection of skins (which includes accessories and player icons),
• Season pass with 60 levels. You will now be able to level up this all new season pass by completing daily and weekly challenges and earn special rewards.
• High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP). We have given the whole game a makeover and optimized it to HDRP which has improved graphics and performance and gives you a much smoother gaming experience.

First day on the job… Taking a job offer in the frontier town of Sandrock, you’ll assume the role of a fledgling builder being sent to a wild and rugged townscape on the brink of collapse. It’s up to you and your trusty toolset to gather resources, build machines, fix up your workshop into a well-oiled production machine, and save the town from the jaws of economic ruin, as well as a few other unexpected complications...
No job too big, no task too small! Customize and build your workshop with an intricate set of machines that all work together to produce parts of huge structures for the town that you assemble piece by piece; or head to your worktable to craft hundreds of unique items that can help out individual townspeople or be placed throughout your own workshop: watch Sandrock transform before your eyes as every contribution you make to town appears permanently in the world!
There and back again Explore the vast deserts surrounding Sandrock: dive into ruins to find ancient relics from the Old World, face the dangers of dungeons and their denizens, then return to your homestead with encumbering bags of treasure in tow. Take your profits and convert the empty prairie lands around you into farmable land for a more leisurely lifestyle, then sell your crops, or transform them into delicious dishes to share with all your new friends in town!
It takes a wild bunch… The people of Sandrock are hardy and tenacious, and one can hardly survive in such an arduous climate without developing a sense of humor. Befriend the local sheriff to hear about his tall tales, help out the chatty ranch family and they’ll help you in turn, spend some time with a local artist and hear about her hopes and aspirations. Meeting and helping these characters leads to not only making new friends, but also people to support you in building your workshop! And who knows, even romance might be in the air…
