We would like to provide an important update regarding Metro Conflict: The Origin.

We have received great user feedback, ideas, and insight on Metro Conflict: The Origin during the past several days!

Through our Early Access Launch last week, we have closely monitored user traffic on all of our servers while simultaneously listening to what our community was saying about their initial game experience.
While we have received positive reviews regarding gameplay, many of our users were experiencing difficulty with finding a match in their respective region. Regardless of how enjoyable a game can be, it means little if you can't play it!

In order for us to alleviate this issue as quickly as possible, we have decided to launch Metro Conflict: The Origin 'Free Trial Version' for users to access our game free of charge!

Metro Conflict: The Origin (Free Trial Version) includes the following;
  • 1. Starter's Agent Pack (Striker, Bigdaddy, Geoffery)
  • 2. 160,000 In-game starting gold
  • 3. Full access to grindable game content in-sync with Early Access & Official versions


We would like to let all of our users know that Metro Conflict: The Origin is meant to be a Package game. We do not have plans to add micro transactions in the future. It was a difficult decision for us to consider offering Free Access to the game, but the most important thing for us at this time was to correct the lack of user-traffic issue in order that our Early Access users are able to enjoy our game without waiting in queue delays.

We do encourage new users to join us in Metro Conflict: The Origin either through Early Access; which includes full game content, or by downloading our Free Trial Version expected to be available very soon through our Steam Store.

Please note that we do not plan on discontinuing our services for Free Trial Version accounts but the downloadable Free Trial Version Store Page may be subject to be taken down in the future.

All Early Access users will be invited to participate in our weekly/bi-weekly Developer discussion where your voice will directly impact future changes to Metro Conflict: The Origin. You will also gain access to development knowledge inaccessible to the Free Trial Version users.

Metro Conflict: The Origin is finally opening its doors to the public through Early Access.

Through our recent Beta test, we were able to collect diverse feedback and user insight on Metro Conflict: The Origin. The very purpose we’ve had in mind conducting Beta test was to hear what our users had to say!
We’re very excited to come across such an awesome collective community of users who took the time to share with us; Pros & Cons of Metro Conflict: The Origin.
As we launch Metro Conflict: The Origin through Early Access, we would like for everyone to comprehend the potential in what Metro Conflict is able to become. We, the developer, do not consider Metro Conflict: The Origin as a finished game but rather as a starting point of a great game in the making! We may be the ones to deliver your content but our user community and their voices are the foundation of our game development.




Metro Conflict: The Origin Early Access Launch

Early Access Updates:

1. Additional Game content
  • EXD Mode: Solar Power Station
  • DEM Mode: Cliff Side, Union Station
2. New Character Skin
  • Tiffany Rose-pink Skin (Obtainable through Winner’s Crate)
3. EXD Mode gameplay changes:
  • We’ve taken into consideration; various user feedback related to the EXD mode. We have added clarity to where ‘Marker’ could be setup by either team. We’ve also enlarged the proximity radius around the ‘Marker’ in order to promote team fights.
  • We do intend to keep a close eye on our EXD gameplay in order to balance the overall game mode and create an enjoyable experience for our users.
4. UI/UX fixes:
  • We’ve received numerous feedback related to the game lobby operating in Window mode. As such, we have defaulted our lobby to Full Screen. Please note, that we are aware of partial fonts and/or images lacking sharpness compared to the rest. We will be fixing this issue through patches in the near future.
  • There may be limitations in dramatic changes to the overall UI and/or HUD at this time but we are planning to implement changes according to ideas & feedback provided by our Community members.
5. Miscellaneous:
  • We have modified the default server connection in order for you to automatically connect to the nearest located Server. You may still ‘choose’ your server region manually.
  • Misguiding and/or unclear descriptions have been modified.
  • We’ve created a function regarding language where Metro Conflict: The Origin will automatically set in-game language to correspond with your Steam Account’s language preference. If your Steam Account language is not one of the languages supported by Metro Conflict: The Origin, it will default to English. Manual language change function is still available through Settings.
  • We’ve increased ‘Call Sign’ character limit from 10 characters to 16 characters. We have also enabled the option for non-English speakers to create their ‘Call Sign’ in their native language; if the language is supported by the game.
6. Known Issues:
  • We are aware of the confusion caused by MWF(Match Waiting FFA) allowing players from different servers to connect into a mutual game channel. We are already working on differentiating MWF channels in order to eliminate such confusion among our players. We ask you for your patience as we work on the solution.
  • Players are given two different types of Crates obtainable through gameplay which, by % chance, may drop unique items (including skins). There is a known bug where identical item drops simply disappear from your inventory. We are planning to fix this issue in the near future so that you are able to possess multiple items of the same kind.

In order to show our appreciation to all of our Beta Test Participants, we have prepared a special Crate for you which will be available in your Inventory.

We are back with our 2nd Beta Test!!

Please be sure to read our previous announcements in order to be up-to-date with various changes and additions we've made for our 2nd Beta Test.


Key points to consider:

1. All previous CBT data will be reset for the 2nd Beta Test.
2. 1st CBT participants may connect to our servers with the same Key (You do not need a new key)
3. We've created a new way of distributing our Beta Keys for new participants. Please head over to our Website[링크] and follow the instructions.
4. All servers will stay active 24 hours per day until Beta Test is finished on Sunday. (We may restart servers for important patches and updates if necessary)
5. Servers, depending on their concurrent user, may be shut-down during Slack-hours.

For our 4th chapter in Dev. Notes, we will be reviewing 12 unique skills available in Metro Conflict: The Origin.




Main Skills;

Geoffrey
  • [Shockwave]: Creates an EMP field with a 7m radius centered at where Geoffrey initiated the skill. Those who are caught by Shockwave become impaired in their movement as well as their aim for up to 3 seconds. They also receive minor damage from the skill (1hp/sec)
  • [Duration]: 3 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 120 seconds
  • [Tips]: Shockwave can have a devastating effect when used in a narrow area in order to choke enemy movement.
Igor
  • [Blind Storm]: Blind Storm creates a 9.8m radius Electro-Magnetic bubble which temporarily blinds enemies who are caught within the storm.
  • [Duration]: 5.5 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 190 seconds
  • [Tips]: Blind Storm can be a great tool both; offensively & defensively. It can also be used to cancel out Hawkeye’s Motion Sensor detection.
Lopez
  • [Teleport]: Summons two bi-directional teleportation portal that last 3 minutes. Portals can be placed anywhere on the map and cannot be destroyed.
  • [Duration]: 180 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 80 seconds
  • [Tips]: First portal, once placed, will stay active without a time limit. Try to time the placement of the second portal to meet your team’s strategy.
Rona
  • [Shadow Dance]: Rona’s holographic replication can be directly controlled as if it was actually Rona. The Hologram can be used to check around corners or create confusion among enemy players. Vision gained by Shadow Dance is shared with Rona and her team mates.
  • [Duration]: 15 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 150 seconds
  • [Tips]: Shadow Dance is great for scouting dangerous territories but it can also draw fire from enemies while team mates engage them in battle.
Tiffany
  • [Recover Health]: Recover Health has a 30m radius which heals all team mates within the radius for 20hp per second for 6 seconds.
  • [Duration]: 6 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 50 seconds
  • [Tips]: Recover Health can be timed together with other agent skills in order to regenerate to full HP. (ie: Recover Health + Body Armor)
Striker
  • [Body Armor]: Grants the user and all team mates within a 15m radius 99% damage reduction armor for 2.1 seconds. (Does not block Headshots)
  • [Duration]: 2.1 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 180 seconds
  • [Tips]: Activating Body Armor at significantly low life can work as a bait for enemies to over commit their engagement.
Chris
  • [Micron]: When activated, Chris shrinks his size by 75% for 8 seconds. There is a HP penalty during Micron which reduces Chris’ life down to 30hp.
  • [Duration]: 8 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 135 seconds
  • [Tips]: Micron can be used not only during combat but also for moving past chokepoints with ease. Due to Micron’s HP penalty, be aware of activating the skill against AOE damage dealers (ie: Geoffrey, Lopez)
Trish
  • [Stealth]: Upon Activation, Trish becomes invisible for up to 10 seconds. She is able to move around freely without being seen but Stealth becomes deactivated when Trish fires her weapon.
  • [Duration]: 10 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 130 seconds
  • [Tips]: Stealth can be used to play mind games with enemy users. Try and position yourself at an advantageous angle to take out the enemy.
Hawkeye
  • [Motion Sensor]: For the duration of the skill, Hawkeye and his team mates gain vision of all enemy players for 6 seconds. Enemy users revealed by Motion Sensor receive warning labels on their screen.
  • [Duration]: 6 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 200 seconds
  • [Tips]: Motion Sensor can be used to figure out where enemy players are stations. This information can be vital in trying to figure out the opposition’s strategy.
Ana
  • [Dash]: Ana is able to speed up movement speed of herself and her allies within a 20m radius for 5 seconds. Dash grants a burst in ‘forward’ movement speed which is 1.7 times faster compared to normal movement speed.
  • [Duration]: 5 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 140 seconds
  • [Tips]: Dash can be used to allow the whole team to storm a location quickly.
El Tigre
  • [Energy Shield]: El Tigre and his team mates within a 20m radius receive an energy shield which absorbs all explosive damage made against them for 11 seconds.
  • [Duration]: 11 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 90 seconds
  • [Tips]: Geoffrey’s grenade launcher and the infantry mortar used by Lopez can become useless due to how Energy Shield works. Geoffrey’s Shockwave is also considered as explosive damage. Use Energy Shield to cancel out Shockwave effect.
Big Daddy
  • [Maximum Armor]: For 5 seconds after activation, Maximum Armor creates a barrier for all allies within a 20m radius. Players who gain Maximum Armor barrier will receive 80% reduced incoming damage from all bullet-type attacks. (including headshots)
  • [Duration]: 5 seconds
  • [Cool down]: 130 seconds
  • [Tips]: Maximum Armor can have great effect when used in the midst of a large firefight.


Secondary Skills (incl. Passive);
  • Igor – Martyrdom(Passive): Even in death, Igor bring fear to those around him by blowing himself up to damage those close by.

  • Ana – High Jump: She is able to maneuver over obstacles in dire situation.

  • El Tigre – Sliding: El Tigre can literally slide in and out of combat quickly.

  • Striker – Sprint: Striker is able to quickly sprint to flank enemies or join team mates in battle.

We are excited to announce our 2nd Beta Test scheduled for this coming weekend! (November 3rd Friday ~ 5th Sunday)


All 1st CBT participants are able to join us during our 2nd Beta test with your previous Beta Key registered to Steam Library!! You do not require a new Key!

For those of you who do not yet have a Beta Key and would like to apply for our 2nd Beta Test, please be sure to check our follow-up Announcement which will include detailed instruction on where/how to receive your Beta Key.



As promised, we've included new content for our 2nd Beta Test (listed below);

1.Game Modes: EXD (Extreme Domination), Special Operations (Spec Ops)
-'Special Operations' contains three types of round-based gamemodes; Demolition, Infiltration, and Escape

2.New Maps:
-Demolition: Adobe, Old Factory
-Infiltration: Missile Bunker
-Escape: Resort


3.Party System: Users are able to create a party of up to 6 persons to que into a game

4.Custom friendly match event: (optional)
-We may, depending on the number of users per server, hold friendly matches with the possibility of observer stream function enabled.



There are changes and additions to the game service for the 2nd Beta Test;

1.New Servers: North America, South America, Europe, Asia
-All servers will be opened at the pre-announced time
-All servers will remain open 24-hours until the last day of Beta Test (Server times may change depending on the number of concurrent players)


2.New Language Support: Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)
-Additional Languages will be added as we move forward
