Getting ready for MOBA very soon. I am testing the High Efficiency Packet Transfer tech: HEPT. This is research level stuff. I can't do it via Unity or apparently even desktop... I didn't want to push out an update now, but it is required for testing.

Yo, I came down with pre-diabetes insulin resistance and the first stage of kidney failure. It wrecked me at first until I knew what it was. I am still doing the best I can developing, but another one of life's hits.
Pre-diabetes can be exercised away, and I have been busting tail 3-6 hours a day exercising. I will not eat before I sleep. When I do eat, I do burst exercise to consume some calories, it is working out for me. No sweets, avoid fast food.
Kidney Failure is not something that can be reversed, it can only be delayed. Diabetes can cause kidney failure to deteriorate faster. So I am really all in on removing pre-diabetes insulin resistance. Kidney failure can make you so you can't eat as much salt. If you do eat too much salt, go sweat it out. Contrary to what you think, you do not just drink tons of water, that taxes kidneys... And there is this vicious cycle of always having dry mouth due to diabetes and drinking too much water which double taxes kidneys... Don't do that, find a doctor if you have non stop dry mouth. Managing pre-diabetes helps a ton and doesn't have to be a bunch of needle pricks if you know your system. Also protein is a balance, foam in urine means too much protein and taxes kidneys. So you want to eat enough protein to keep muscle, brain, skin and hair kicking, but not so much that your kidneys die. Manage this by foam.
I am not a doctor, but the last 12 months of my life have been VERY VERY difficult. My friend said paraphrased,"In the last 12 months, you had 60 years of bad things happen to you."
But like Rocky says,"It ain't how hard you hit, it is how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward."
Journal today: 1) Tested performance of HDRP: Passable! I don't have to revert. This is great! 2) Plan on rushing out a MOBA that will be the first space dungeon in the MMO [Space dungeon mode] 3) Want to colorize scrap when I get a chance, not aestetic and unfair when blue scrap drops that give nothing but denial when picked up. 4) Actual dev path, get a major networking thing done, followed by trying to get lasers and damage in. 5) Next two days after that, reconstruct Moba 6) Launch Update with MOBA in prep for MMO.
The MOBA will actually be a "Space Dungeon" which is a place you can fight specialized battles. Space dungeons can be FFA, last standing get reward. Space Dungeons could be one team vs another team, last standing get reward. Space Dungeons can be PVE, kill the most stuff before timer out. They can be, Highlander FFA, every kill you get, you get more powerful. Chess Team Battle: Kill their king and win. It goes on and on.
These "Space Dungeons" will be all throughout the MMO. When you discover them, they will show up on your "Fly Mission" panel as "Space Dungeon" option then pick which one you want. You unlock them in game by finding them then you can just use the menu instead of navigating in the MMO across the universe.
Once a day... At a time you can discover by detective work, a very powerful version of the "Space Dungeon" will occur. The rules will be subtly different. Everyone attending will gain power. And the winners will get bigger rewards than normal. The game design decision behind this is that: We want the way to maximally get power in the MMO is to go from one space dungeon to another, doing a variety of types instead of just grinding one style. This is more fun, and also discourages one player winning every time so it is more fun again.
I want to ASAP launch this MOBA because its techs are required to make the MMO, and is not a side grade at all. We're pushing forward boldly. Don't mark my words... But I have a week of peace and prayer. I would love to have the MOBA out in a week. I only spent 2 weeks making it before when I originally learned unity, but couldn't find beta testers, so I kept trying to attract a player base. Pray for me bros and sistas. We doing mass development.
Better graphics in, and some side grades in... There is a performance hit, and most quality computers wont notice, but if you do, go into the directory this is installed, and go to the directory called "HIGH PERFORMANCE VERSION" and 2x click the starfighter.exe in it: it uses old rendering.
I need about 1-2 weeks to finalize some complicated never been written networking code: aka revolutionary.
Then another week to get tools to my level designers.
Then the earliest the game could launch is in 4 weeks... But don't keep hopes up til 12 to be the average target, and it could be up to 20 weeks... But we bustin tail!
We know if we get this out there, and stable, it will blow away all Space MMOS as we know it.

In preparation to go MMO, we goin free to hammer the server. We want to dethrone every space mmo out there, so we might end up having tens of millions of users. So some pre-emptive server load helps for the future.

Starfighter General, the spiritual successor of Xwing vs Tiefighter. We plan on taking this game light years ahead of where it is now, and the industry at large. We going MMO to compete with the biggest space MMOS.
For now, It is a Clash of Clans style game. Build production buildings, research stronger ships, build ships, build all sorts of things to build a huge fleet. Then of course go raid other people's bases. Unlike traditional games of this type which force you to wait, you can be raiding bases non stop, securing more resources to upgrade your base and ships. This ends up being really fun because starbases will upgrade while you're playing the action part of the game.
The future mmo is ambitious and uses many techs never seen before in games. It will end with live game master(s) allowing the universe and history to be permanently changed by RPG moments guided by the GMs.

The MMO will contain "Space dungeons" which are special zones that all players compete for a big reward. Each Space Dungeon has a different win condition and goals. One might be ffa. Another might be FFA highlander mode. Another might be science based phenomena puzzle to solve. Another might be team vs team. Another might be chess team (aka you kill the king) you win. Another might be who kills a boss fastest. Long story short, once a day, these places will drop really good loot predictably either on a timer, or via clue sheet. Then most players will know where to be. And the same guy won't win every 'Space Dungeon' because the rules are dif for each.
There will be resource trading, aka, buy aluminum or other metals one place and sell another like Elite.
There will be a PVP bounty system. Everyone can PVP at all times. Stakes are low if your ship explodes. If you get attacked without declaring aggressive mode or an opponent to duel, the aggressor gets a bounty on their head in accordinace with the damage dealt to you. If this bounty gets high enough, and they get caught, they will be put in jail. When they log on for the next few hours or days, their character can play only in jail, and visitors come see him and such. Global chat disabled.
There will be illegal substances like ficitious drugs and contraban weapons which you can profit from greatly, but you risk your cargo being scanned by a random and getting a bounty on your head.
There will later be grand space opera. AKA Live Game Masters will observe the game, and allow players to permanently change the history on their server. I actually know several highly talented game masters personally who are ready to be on board.
Then later, the ability to touch down on ground, and your player get out FPS style will come with proceedurally generated planets and cities.
Of course you have your standard MMO quests and random wandering monsters and situations.
I have other plans, but this will be a very fun game to come along for the dev ride. Enjoy updates and get yourself strong now, so when later the Space Opera comes out, you can be one of the big dawg influencers of the universe.
New cutting edge networking tech halves your lag, costs no maintaince fees and unlimited action players in the same zone!

1) Space Dungeons-A competitive zone, with rewards. Every 30-60 min a diff space dungeon gets a real big reward, and they want to find which one.
2) Resource trading like Pirates or later Elite

9) I'll try not to have any bind on equip or bind on use, with everything tradable. And I might not mind if you trade outside the game as long as hackers aren't stealing accounts n stuff.
Well enjoy the ride, space is very smooth to ride until stuff crashes into you. The more you power up the base, the stronger you'll be in the mmo, and that matters for the long haul in MMO terms.

I did a base building update as an apology consolation for missing June 19th target for MMO. Next update I hope is the MMO in a few weeks. If you followed what happened to me, I unwillingly moved 3 times in the past 2 months, got very sick, was at the er like 3 or 4 times. But I'm good to go now. Turns out one of my houses had neurotoxin. That stuff could drive you crazy... luckily I'm already crazy to begin with so nothing to worry about. Prepare for some mad genius level writing in the upcoming Action MMORPG! There has been no MMORPG like it before, and good luck on anyone getting one better after. We plan on overthrowing all space online MMORPGs, and people who see the design think it will be a walk in the park, but we can't stand still. Development underway every day!

I had detrimental effects to my health because of crunch on the 19th. So I balanced my lifestyle with exercise etc. Still I got worse til I slept 35 hours out of 50 and was still tired! I went to a doc. Then after I talked with the doc, realized I had mold issues after looking online. So as I rennovate out the mold, and sleep at my mom's, I am healthy again! Dev starts again right now.
Since I couldn't get MMO out for the 19th, lets shoot for an update at the station-fighter mode sometime next week. The MMO is looking SUPER awesome tho. We have sooooo many awesome ideas, and we want the core first base game to be really fun too! We'll live and thrive on updates but we want some sort of splash opener, so a lil extra time is good.

Xbox360 controller fixed. I didn't know thrust was disabled. I fixed it, and Mars getting intense for impending MMO release
I think somewhere along the lines in unity upgrades, I lost my data for input so I reworked the map... And used Axis 10 & 9 instead of shared 3... But my code should have never worked on shared axis 3... So I'm thinking internally with UNITY maybe when they changed input or something with Microsoft... Who knows, who cares, it wasn't TOO tough to fix, just confusing.
MMO coming around on 19th if everything keeps going smooth.
We'll have one hand crafted zone, and the rest will be procedural at first.
We want to have character rolling (yes rolling!), skills, talents, inventory.
A universe with each npc with 120 personalities.
An economy that you buy and sell, and you help the economy grow if the vendor's personality is to expand, franchise or go corporate... Also war can blow up factories and such, so it is cool that 1 million players can't just sell shiny rocks 24/7 and make billions unless that store is selling more than they buy... Otherwise, same ol buy low sell high mechanism.
