We’re happy to announce that the full release of Bermuda - Lost Survival just went live!
We hope you have a good time and fun playing the game.
There was an issue with the deployment of the latest game version earlier today, which prevented the game from launching, but everything is looking good now. Please continue to report any issues.
What happens next?
Early access is over. But for us, this is not the finish line. Additional features and content are about to come. During the next weeks, we plan to add cloud saves and additional languages to the game, followed by content updates. All future updates and DLCs will be free of charge.
We're excited to announce Bermuda - Lost Survival is going full release this summer! More detailed information and a release date will be provided soon.
We know you waited for a long time, so let's keep this short and get you into the game quickly!
Main features of the Update:
Discover and experience a new reef called First Encounter.
Experience the visually reworked Sunken Ashes reef.
A new enemy has risen from the depths.
New shark species and AI behavior were added.
Player actions now have an impact on the ecosystem of each reef. Killing too many predators or overfishing can make a reef collapse. Keep the natural balance to ensure food supplies.
Every type of food now has a spoil-rate and a chance for food poisoning.
New craftable equipment is available: tier 3 tools, the speargun, and a scuba tank.
We received a lot of feedback and reports from the community, which helped us to further tweak the overall balancing, gameplay, and quality of the game.
Thank you guys, we appreciate it!
For now, we'll leave it at that and hope you enjoy the new content!
we just want to let you know everything is on track and you can expect the next big update for Bermuda - Lost Survival to be loaded with tons of content!
The update contains tier 3 equipment like new tools, a speargun and scuba tanks and brings new game mechanics like perishable food and food poisoning.
One of the biggest changes: every reef now has it's own ecosystem simulation, which means actions like fishing or killing sharks will have severe impact on a reef's population and vegetation. Keeping the natural balance is important.
Speaking of wildlife: we added a couple of new species of fish and sharks with a refined behavior. Expect some interesting new encounters in the depths!
What else...?
Currently we're working on a new reef, that we'll unveil in another news post in a few weeks. It might or might not feature some supernatural phenomenon and a lost submarine ;)
Last but not least there will be a new set of structures you can use to build advanced outposts.
as some of you already noticed, the beta release for Bermuda - Lost Survival went live Sunday morning!
What changed? Almost everything.
Since the engine and coding structure of the initial game version proofed to be not powerful and scalable enough to meet our requirements, we decided to migrate the game to another technical setup. For this update, we basically had to rebuild the entire game from scratch. We also changed, added, removed and rebalanced most of the game mechanics and content pieces of the game based on your feedback. Thanks for your support and patience!
Upcoming next? Content.
Expect the next months to be packed with new content like additional reefs, tools, equipment, a new building tier, and enhanced game mechanics that will add more depth and difficulty to the game.
Is there a timeline for upcoming updates? No.
Please understand, this game is a 100% free time project made by 2 guys besides working regular full-time jobs. It's impossible for us to upkeep a consistent update schedule. We want to give you meaningful updates, even if it takes longer.
Hopefully, you're having a great time with your friends and family.
As a Christmas gift, we today announce the upcoming release of the Bermuda - Lost Survival beta version.
After one year of Early Access, we took our time to dive into your feedback, read hundreds of comments and watched a lot of youtube footage. Thank you for all the great input! During the last months, we used those insights and again put a lot of work into the project.
What will change with the beta release: Almost everything!
First of all, the game got an engine update. We also replaced the entire coding structure. The main reason for this decision was the poor performance, the game provided in some situations. With the new code, we achieved a very steady performance while being able to increase the number of objects per reef up to 5 times compared to the current alpha build.
Main features for the beta release:
Updated game engine and code structure.
Improved performance.
Reworked lighting and post fx.
A fully redesigned, much denser environment including new objects and resources.
Fully redesigned user interface.
Controller support for PS4, Xbox and all Xbox-similar controllers.
Reworked equipment and tools.
New gameplay mechanics.
Fully reworked balancing and crafting recipes.
This update will bring the game much closer to the vision we have for it and gives us the perfect foundation for our 2019 roadmap, which will be all about content. With the beta release, we'll finally close the technical setup chapter for this project. Nevertheless, we have a lot of testing left to do for the new game version and want to make sure everything works as intended.
Enjoy the beta trailer above and get a first glance at the new Bermuda - Lost Survival experience.
We'll keep you updated and provide you with a release date + more detailed info as soon as possible!
We finally finished our work on the upcoming update! The next 2 weeks we test all the new features that were added to the game. You can expect the update to go live on August 26.
