There’s still time to level up your vehicles before the doors of the LIVE Summit burst open!

Until April 24th, we are boosting the frequency of LIVE Reward crate drops in free roam, and increasing the perf value of all parts dropped.

Here’s what’s happening this week in The Crew® 2!

Having announced the LIVE Summit last week, we wanted to give you the chance to start levelling your vehicles ahead of its launch on April 24.

As such, from April 10th to April 24th we are boosting the frequency of LIVE Reward crate drops in free roam, and increasing the perf value of all parts dropped.
Please note that these changes only apply to Live Reward crates found in free drive, not loot awarded in events, skills, or PvP.

This week, our featured Community Playlist is RaceMasterDave’s “Racing 20”. You can find it in the Mixed LIVE Battle queue, on Wednesday April 3 and Saturday April 6.

Think you can handle the challenge? Put pedal to the metal and show us what you’ve got!




Head towards the sky!

Starting on Wednesday, April 3 and ending on Monday, April 8, we challenge you all to take the best photo you can above the clouds.

Share your creations with us using the #TC2Weekly tag, on Twitter, Facebook, or the community Reddit or  Discord channels.

The team’s favorite 3 entries will win 10,000 Crew Credits and be featured on our official channels, so remember to include your in-game name and platform in your post.

Best of luck to everyone who submits a picture; we are excited to see how creative you all get taking photos in the sky.


This month’s vehicle drop is the Porsche Cayman GT4 2016 and the Suzuki GSX-R 1000R 2018.

Both of these vehicles will be available for Season Pass holders on Wednesday, April 3, and will be purchasable for all players one week later on Wednesday, April 10.

Let’s start things off with a little bit of backfire! The rumors are true, the Live Summit will be returning with The Crew® 2 Hot Shots update arriving on April 24th! Read our dedicated article for more information on what the Live Summit looks like in The Crew® 2.

That’s not the only exciting Hot Shots development; with the April update we will also be resetting all event leaderboards. You can read more about this large-scale clean-up in this article!

Head over to the Live Battle tent, bring some friends, and crush as many other drivers as possible.

In order to complete this challenge, you must finish in the TOP 3 of as many events as possible in the Mixed playlist.

Crewzing Across Motornation with Ubi-Rich - April 2

Gearheads,

In case you missed it, today we revealed the name of our April 24th update: The Crew® 2 Hot Shots! You can read about its major new feature, the LIVE Summit, in our dedicated article

The wheels of Motornation keep on turning in the meantime, however, with the latest batch of brand new Street Racing events! Check out the infographic below for details on what to expect in April.

The Crew® 2 Team

We’re thrilled to announce The Crew©2 Hot Shots: the third free update brought to Ubisoft’s open world motorsports game. It will be available to all The Crew©2 players starting April 24th.



Stay tuned for more information closer to release, but in the meantime we’re delighted to unveil the major new feature we’re adding with this update: the much-requested Live Summit!



Available from ICON 1 fame level, the Live Summit is a weekly PvE competition in which you take on a thematic playlist of nine activities, selected among the game’s wide range of playgrounds and disciplines.

You can access it through a dedicated billboard in any HQ, or via shortcuts in the News or the Activities menus.

Each Live Summit has a unique theme that really spices up the challenge, ranging from full Polar climates to Vintage vs Modern showdowns.



The Live Summit’s nine activities will include:

• 3 skills
  
• 4 existing events revamped to fit the week’s theme
  
• 1 new event for an existing discipline
  
• 1 special event that mashes up an existing track/playground with vehicles from a different discipline
  

Your ranking is based on your performance across all activities, so you’ll need to give your very best in every aspect of the Live Summit to reach the highest spots of the final leaderboard.

There are four reward levels to unlock: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The higher the level, the better the rewards.



Earning a higher level will also net you the rewards from all lower levels. For example, a Gold medal in the Live Summit will also include the Silver and Bronze rewards.

Obtaining a Platinum medal will always earn you an exclusive reward. The last Live Summit of every month will up the stakes, to reward all Platinum medals with an exclusive vehicle!

Speaking of vehicles, your own vehicle levels and affixes are taken into account while racing in the Live Summit. Picking the right ride and tuning it up before hitting the starting grid is therefore of the utmost importance!

Likewise, certain events will require specific vehicles or vehicle types, so keep an eye on the Live Summit calendar to know what you’ll need in the coming weeks. Vehicles will not be lent, so if you don’t own the right one you cannot take part.

Note that if you play in a crew, only the crew leader needs to own the required vehicles for all crew members to participate.

We’ve only revealed the tip of the April update iceberg, so keep your eyes on our official channels over the coming weeks for more info, and be sure to tune in to our Hot Shots launch livestream on April 23rd for all the details!

With the regular addition and iteration of content to The Crew® 2 since launch, Motornation and the experience it offers have levelled up considerably in the past 9 months. There are new and different ways to compete for the top spot in the rankings, with new vehicles to help you along the way and new disciplines and podiums to conquer.

When you combine these with tweaks to physics and handling, AI balancing, and exploit fixes (to name but a few), it becomes clear as a result that Event leaderboards are no longer as representative of Motornation’s competitive scene as they should.

The highly engaged players of The Pit Crew have been keeping us abreast of how these changes affect Event rankings, and we completely agree with them about the necessity of a leaderboard clean to restore a healthy and up-to-date competitive ecosystem.

We already perform regular small-scale leaderboard cleans every week, but it’s apparent that after so many modifications and additions, it’s time to shift up a gear.

As such, we have decided to use the launch of The Crew 2 Hot Shots on April 24th to perform a complete wipe of all the game’s Event leaderboards.
Please note that this will not extend to Fame or PvP rankings, or Skill leaderboards.

Once the Hot Shots maintenance on April 24th is complete, players will notice that standings in the leaderboards for all Events, across all disciplines, have been reset. This will not alter players’ existing progression or Fame/Bucks/vehicles already earned, in any way.
The Event leaderboards will then re-populate as usual with fresh, accurate scores and times.

We will also be running a special #TC2Weekly Challenge to mark the occasion. More details to come closer to the time.

In the meantime, we would like to thank you all for your understanding regarding this clean. Special thanks go to Pit Crew members past and present who put a lot of time and dedication into feedback on leaderboards, and the impact of past tweaks and updates.
