This week, we're focusing on the unlockables in the game. When you’re finished with the main modes in Rez Infinite, there are many things to unlock in Beyond mode. To see your progress, go to Rez > Beyond > Beyond Options and use any of the settings on any Beyond mode (Direct Assault, Lost Area, Trance Mission, and Boss Rush)
Unlockable Player Form
Fans of Space Channel 5 will recognize the ultimate unlockable player form in Beyond mode. We’ve only seen one screenshot of it here so far!
Unlockable Beam Types
Unlock the ability to select 6 different beams to start off with in any of the Beyond modes by completing Score Attack multiple times.
Unlockable Camera Views
Remember we mentioned First Person View in our first Rez Tips post? This has been in all versions of Rez since the original Dreamcast and PS2 days. Check out the different camera views of Rez to experience Beyond in new perspectives.
As always, we're here to listen to any feedback. If there's anything we haven't yet addressed, we don't have the answer at this time, but we hear you!

We'd like to thank those who have been posting in our community pages. There are some new ones that show your dedication! Most secrets of Rez Infinite require the completion of a certain task, but some of them are unlocked based on play time. We're happy to see players go beyond.
These Rez Tips are meant to be as spoiler free as possible, but fellow players have shared their findings around the internet if you're really curious ;)
Direct Assault Mode
What is Direct Assault? In this mode, play all of the levels in normal mode back to back with different orchestrations of enemies and increasing difficulties as you progress. Every time Direct Assault is completed, experience Rez Infinite in different color schemes as they unlock with each successful playthrough.
High Score Strategies
Having trouble increasing your high score in Score Attack mode? Learn the pattern of enemy formation--the more enemies you lock onto at one time, the more points you get. Hit different parts of larger enemies before taking them down, and shoot down their missiles for extra points. Go to Options and enable Point Display to see what’s worth more points and help you strategize higher scoring combos.
Professional Screenshots/Video Capture
Take professional-looking screenshots or capture clean video in Areas 1-5 without the UI by going to Options > Game Settings and turning “Heads Up Display” OFF.
Multiple Endings
You beat Areas 1-5 and Area X on your first playthrough, but did you get all the endings? ;)

Hi again! We hope everyone found our last Rez Tips post useful. There are many things to unlock in Rez and we don’t want to give away all the secrets just yet ;)
We hope our fans can discuss their progress and achievements in our Steam forums, Twitter, Reddit, or your favorite internet hangout and help those who are curious. We’ve already seen some great screenshots shared on Twitter and our community hub here!
Ultrawide (21:9) and 4:3 Aspect Ratio Support
For those who weren’t with us from the beginning, we heard the rumblings of the community and added support for fans who have 21:9 ultrawide monitors! At the same time, we added 4:3 support.
(Thanks to HadynTheHuman on Reddit for the screenshot)
HTC Vive Auto Rotation and Reticle Settings
In VR options we have "Area X auto-camera rotation" ON/OFF. This is ON by default, but turning this OFF will disable the original camera design of Area X where the camera continues to turn in whatever direction you're looking. We also learned many people feel more comfortable setting VR Control Type to Type 2 (use only the controller to move the reticle). To do so, go into VR Options > VR Control Type > Type-2
Some people say that turning Area X auto-camera rotation OFF with VR Control Type-2 works very well on Vive. Please try it out!
Trance Vibration
Did you know you can feel the gameplay even more in Rez Infinite? In Options > Controls you can turn on Trance Vibration (default is OFF) and connect other controllers to your PC (that support vibration). Enhance the experience more with headphones!
Traveling Mode
If you just want to enjoy the environments without worrying about losing your progress, try Traveling Mode to play at your own pace with no game overs. (Notice your player form is green!)
More Rez Tips are coming in the following weeks. Let us know in the comments if you have any questions about any modes or features!

Hi everyone! Wow, it’s been a month since launch and as always, we really appreciate your support! Hardcore fans of Rez may have already found these “hidden” features, but these tips can be helpful to those new to the game. Here’s a taste of some things you can do/unlock in Rez Infinite.
Some of these were already announced on our Twitter, but there will be more to come!
View Mode
Rez Infinite has a feature called View Mode. While playing in any level, press V on your keyboard, or LB on the gamepad to pause gameplay and look around. In desktop mode, use the left joystick, or hold left click and drag the mouse to look around. In VR, move your head to look around. Exit view mode by pressing V.
3D Depth Settings
For more 3D-ness in Areas 1-5, try the new 3D Depth settings under VR Options. “Standard” is the default, and "Increased" and "Max" increases the level of 3D depth, making the environment feel more immersive.
Extra Modes
There’s more to Areas 1-5 and Area X! Unlock secret modes and check your progress in the main menu under Rez > Beyond. Have you tried Lost Area?
New PC Graphics Options
Rez Infinite comes with many graphics options to fit your PC rig. Try different settings to see which ones look best.
First-Person Mode
Are you up to the challenge? Long time players of Rez, the secret of how to unlock it hasn’t changed. Let us know in the comments if you’ve unlocked this special mode!

Right after our trip to Gamescom, we spent some time this week preparing for PAX. (If you're there, find us at the Oculus VR Village.) We're sorry about the delay on these patch notes, but our team heard your concerns, and from what we've been reading, we're really happy the 3D depth setting has been well received so far!
Rez Infinite Patch 1.06 (8/29/17)
--------ISSUES WE ADDRESSED--------
Added “3D Depth” option in VR Settings for those wanting to boost the “3D-ness” of the graphics there. “Standard” is the default and the same as before, so if you want to try it out please go to VR Settings > 3D Depth > and choose either “Increased” or “Max”.
Fixed issue where upper-left-side text was cut off in certain resolutions.
Adjusted the audio mix / balance of certain sound effects.
If you have any technical issues and you can't find the answer on our support page or elsewhere in our forums, we’ll be monitoring our Technical Issues Sub Forum.
Thanks as always for supporting us! Have a great weekend :)
