This is Noemi, Product Manager for SoulWorker. Together with our Live Producer Merlin, we recorded this little Q&A video for you during gamescom 2018 after we presented SoulWorker to the press for 3 full days.
Since we couldn’t cover all the questions you had (there were so many!) and gamescom happened some weeks ago already, there are other more recent topics of high interest that should be answered. Therefore, we decided that in addition to the questions answered in the video, I would cover these in a written form.
Update and Event Schedule
As the Primal Raid was released and we started off with the first class advancement in September, it should be no surprise that Lilly will be the next to receive her advancement. This update will drop in the upcoming weeks, so still in October.
We are currently planning to release another class advancement and the extension of the Grasscover Camp in 2018. This will include a new main quest from level 57 – 60 and additional districts.
Together with these major updates, we will also implement some other game changes (like skill and raid renewals), some of them new, some of them adapted from other territories.
In addition, the last quarter of the year is busy with many holidays coming up, most notably Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are preparing lots of fun events for these, also including special event maps, so you can gather some amazing rewards.
Next to the big events, we will also activate several Boost Events (like increased EXP, Drop, Dzenai and Grutin Spawn). They will be added on a very regular basis.
Side note: Currently there are no concrete plans to merge class advancements as we’d like to release them as fast as possible after we are done translating them. However, merging advancements in one update might be considered.
Login Rewards
An important topic of discussion in the community is the difference between the login rewards available in our version compared to the regions JP and KR.
We have a different setup of rewards as we received their redesigned version. According to Lion Games, this version is considered less exploitable in comparison to the older version that other territories still use.
Therefore, our Login Rewards will not be changed to be the same as the current JP / KR one. Instead, Lion Games is planning to release a revamped system. We have no details about a possible release date yet.
VIP/ NPC Loyalty System
The situation here is very similar to the Login Rewards. The system is not being updated in KR / JP any longer and was therefore not even included for our version or any other territory (like TW).
But we are currently in discussion with Lion Games about different measures. However, there are no details to share yet.
Server Merges
This is currently one of the main topics on my desk. We are currently reviewing the situation on the servers and will inform you in time if we plan to take any actions.
And that’s it for now - if you liked this format and we see the need to share details on some topics, we can repeat the “Letter to the Community”.
Lastly, I would like to apologize for the delay in releasing the video and thank you all for giving us so much great feedback. Please keep it up because we really need it to make sure SoulWorker stays the great game it is!
A mysterious anomaly has leapt out of the Great Void and is now spreading across the towns of Cloudream. The Starry Forest League has discovered that small metal pieces appear when specific mission parameters are completed. Spooky pumpkin heads seem to grin uncontrollably as soon as you hold the coins in your hands.
And so they were given their name: Halloween Coins.
Yet the scientists suspect that this anomaly will only hold out till 8/11/2018. They recommend that all SoulWorkers gather these pieces of metal as fast as they can.
They are totally harmless, but really valuable: research seems to suggest that the anomaly will reach its peak at the end of October and that the coins are well suited as a material for skins, costumes, titles and decorations.
Here’s how it works:
Click on the ‘Daily Quest’ symbol next to your minimap.
The Daily Quest window will open. Select the ‘Events’ tab and select one or more of the following event quests:
Terror in Rucco Town
Terror in Candus City
Terror in Grace City
Terror in Ruin Fortress
Terror in Grasscover Camp
Terror in Steel Graves
Complete up to 6 event quests each day (amount dependent on how many towns you have unlocked).
As a reward, you will receive Halloween Coins among other things, which you can then use to produce the following items up until the end of October as part of another event:
Halloween weapon skins
Yin Yang Costume
Halloween decorations
Event title
Further research from the Starry Forest League:
You can complete the event quests daily with all characters.
Halloween Coins cannot be stored in the Bank.
If you have no plans to create anything using the Halloween Coins, they can be sold to an NPC for 50,000 dzenai.
Does your calm dark Yin lead your SoulWorker conciousness? Or is it the active light Yang? In an ideal situation you battle your way through the districts in harmony with both. The Yin Yang costume in the in-game shop will bring your supernatural waves into balance. The perfect combination of red and white material gives you a most noble appearance whilst the mask underlines your mysterious sense of being.
Running: from 11/10 to 8/11/2018.
Note: The Clothes Qube can be traded. The status of the contents varies according to each specific costume set (some may be traded; some will not always be tradeable).
Did you hear about the Halloween Event already? You can gather Halloween Coins that you can then use in part 2 of the Halloween Event to produce the Yin Yang Costume! This version of the outfit will however not have all of the brooch slots listed below.
Here’s a glimpse at the outfit in tune with itself:
