Hello, fellow gamers!
We at Cradle Games would like to address all of you regarding a very important matter.

For several long years, Cradle Games have dedicated ourselves to one common endeavour: developing a kickass experience for all of you hardcore RPG enthusiasts out there—our occult sci-fi horror game Hellpoint. While we’re sure you were excited for Hellpoint’s launch next week, we must announce that the situation has regrettably changed.

The release of Hellpoint is being postponed for reasons you are almost certainly aware of. The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting businesses worldwide, and, unfortunately, Cradle Games are feeling the strain as well. Worry not though; Hellpoint won’t be delayed for long. The game, previously set to be released on April 16, is now scheduled for release before the end of Q2 2020.

We know you are disappointed by this sudden delay. Believe us—we’re equally frustrated having to do this at such short notice. However, the delay presents an opportunity to release an even better game this summer. Everyone at our studio is excited to use this additional time to further polish the game, and also address the feedback we have gathered from players of The Thespian Feast, making improvements that we feel will make Hellpoint a better gaming experience for everybody.

To sweeten things up a bit, we have a little teaser of the release trailer for you. Check it out:

https://youtu.be/iamq4717Quc

We hope you understand our intentions and we also hope you will stick with us for a couple of extra months. The support of the community is crucial for us. Thank you for all your love and encouragement! Let’s kick some ass!

And please, stay safe, would you? It is what matters the most today.

Yours truly,

The crew at

Hellpoint - An'Ti-Shyr

:: "There is someone behind the corner. Something. The walls around you are callous. "You are on your own", they whisper as a wave of pure, distilled terror bathes you, accompanied by vomitous stench of decomposing flesh. The hilt is cold to your palm. The space is cold." ::

Irid Novo station once was one of the most advanced space frontiers of human civilization. But after the Merge decimated the universe as we know it, the only living things that are left aboard it are rotting husks of human beings, wandering around in pain and angry despair.

In Hellpoint, you will encounter nearly two dozen unique enemy types, some of which will have several level-based variations, one deadlier than the other. Let's have a peek at some of these malevolent creatures you are about to face.

The King of Nothing
Individuals who were particularly inclined to submit to fear and suffering were selected by the Daemons to connect with pure agony and inflict it unto others. After the Merge, the twisted bodies of the Tool Victims were held up and transpierced at multiple locations with occult receivers, a crown of anguish perpetually soldered to their head. Like kings of nothing, they roam the hallways of Irid Novo, ready to channel the power of their master in an unsettling spasmodic episode and expulse flaming projectiles of rage on any passerby that remotely inspires hope.

The Guardian of the Forlorn Keep
The main designer of Irid Novo’s architecture style, Yael Unstiga Nevor, secretly held an admiration for the classical culture trends that seemed to reoccur cyclically every time humanity entered a flourishing period of its history. Certainly, he was not allowed to demonstrate this in the pure Brutalist style of his greatest work, but with subtlety here and there a touch of the cultures of old could be noticed by the knowing eye. The design of the Sentinel of the Embassy greatly impressed his superiors, their arresting stature imposing authority and their majestic knightly inspiration reminiscent of the era of honor. The soft cloth helm it wears sucked into their face evokes soulless anonymity and the suffocating sense of wasted creativity resented by its creator.

It was never supposed to activate into duty, but the events of the Merge brought them in action and even corrupted their nature in various ways. Dozens of Sentinels now patrol the halls of Irid Novo’s most prestigious building, not particularly cognizant of the threat that they face or the people they should protect.

The Worshipper of the Oldest Truth
Daemons are the side product of suffering, cursed by God to eternally remind souls of the consequences of their ignorance. They incarnate both the source and the sink of torment, reveling in the fire that scorches the nerves and pushes life in motion. Their thirst is endless though, and like shepherds they lead their flock and cull the herd, the burnt skin of their back sliced and stretched, nailed to a broken altar of omega. It is up to every man to fend off Daemons that clings to existence and feed on pain, fear and despair.

Hellpoint - An'Ti-Shyr

:: "The space is silent. So much that it causes anguish. The silence—ash-grey, relentless—crawls within you, hurts you, eats your synthetic skull from the inside. There is only deafening pain, and the heartbeat, and your footsteps, and rare echoes of something massive moving. Something inconceivable, among the mountains of concrete and steel." ::

Irid Novo, an abandoned space station you will be trapped on in Hellpoint, is massive. 14 huge interconnected levels await to be explored, each with its own distinctive visual features, unique monsters, and various puzzles to solve. Each level is hundreds of meters wide and some of the areas are hundreds of meters tall, reaching the height compared to that of the Eiffel tower. Let's have a look at just a few of them.

In the Pond, human passengers that were arriving at Irid Novo, the frontier of mankind's science, were being separated from their bodies and then put back together after interstellar travels.

---
This is where it all begins. The Irid Novo AI, the Author, uses a 3D body printer to create the Spawn whose role you take.

This area is a "warm" welcome to this dark and twisted sci-fi universe, with claustrophobic corridors, hidden passages, and malevolent creatures lurking behind every corner. You will have to learn how to find your way around the station, heal your wounds and use weapons.

The Observatory is a multi-purpose amphitheater, used for scientific congregations that would end with the masses entering trance all over the Irid Novo station, unaware of the willpower they were relinquishing to the soon-to-arrive cosmic gods. It was also used for mind control conferences, occult modern art performances and attuning musical symphonies.

---
The Observatory is one giant open area that will serve as your safe haven. Here you will be able to, among other things, craft and dismantle weapons and upgrade your healing method.

You will encounter no enemies here, except for the level itself. Taming the deadly verticality will let you uncover secrets and be generously rewarded.

For many years, Port Issoudun remained the most active space port of the Irid Novo station. Hundreds of ships and tankers would dock here to land passengers or offload resources. All of the port systems were entirely automated. Like carefully constructed clocks, self-programmed bots zoomed around the environment in straight lines to bring items and transits to their destinations. From the main terminal, various highways lead to other parts of the station.

After the Merge ended the Universe as we know it, the port was ravaged by the hordes of monsters intending to capture the whole station. Issoudun has long since been resting in ruins: dead, cut off from power and cleared from any human activity. The most unfortunate humans remain active as Merge Victims, roaming in the area in eternal fear and confusion, assaulting anyone in sight. Some of the automated bots still function, faithful to their original orders.

---
Port Issoudun is featured in the playable sequel chapter to Hellpoint, The Thespian Feast. This area, dimly lit, is enclosed for the most part and features less deadly platforming yet more enemies and mini-bosses wandering its narrow corridors.

Before the Merge, the Arcology was a mega-colony built inside the space station to accommodate 118 000 inhabitants that came along for the voyage. This was definitely one of the most prestigious places to live back then, with thousands of advanced homes and buildings dashing across the stars at speeds faster than light. It was one of the greatest centers of thought exchanges and hard work, and definitely a place to go looking for a good time. The Arcology was built to be entirely self-sufficient and space efficient, seamlessly merging the utility, public and residential systems while fully utilizing 3D space to a sometimes very dense degree. This resulted in a great flow and interweaving of the construction of shapes and districts.

Thus, the Merge made this place the biggest sudden cemetery on Irid Novo. However, not many cadavers remain, as the Parasites and the Daemonium promptly grabbed the bodies and carried them to their lairs to consume the flesh, furthering their own interests. The remaining survivors were taken by insanity and each met their particular end. Their stories can be read in blood sprayed all over this area.

---
With a lot of open spaces, the Arcology offers a solid challenge in battling swarms of enemies, who are wielding both ranged and melee weapons. A huge funicular connects this district with other sections of Irid Novo.
