XERA: Survival - IcedYoshi

Welcome to Season 5 survivors! We would like to extend our gratitude for all the support during Season 4 and our F2P transition. We’ve recently hit a massive milestone of 275,000 players and it’s been an amazing journey for the team. With the release of Patch 1.0, XERA: Survival will be moving out of early access. This patch represents the hard work our team has put in over the past few years and we’re excited to release some of the most requested features from our community into the game with this patch.

Leaving Early Access

XERA: Survival has been in Early Access since May 2019, we’ve changed, grown and improved the game - as well grown a lot as a small indie studio. Originally starting as a team of one in 2016 - XERA was a dream that would not have been possible without all of you.

Over the last few years we have implemented most of the core mechanics that we as a studio wanted in the game and also a lot of content which was requested by the community. We’ve also greatly increased the quality of the game, and we feel that XERA: Survival is ready to make its move out of early access.

Two years ago we implemented the seasons system - which has allowed us to ultimately change many aspects of the game - providing new content as well as fresh servers for players to experience the game again with different balancing aspects. The season system also allows us to plan content accordingly based on feedback from the community and implement those changes into the next season. Our transition out of early access does not mean that this will be the final content patch, rather it is a new beginning as we plan to bring even more to XERA: Survival in the future. Our team is committed to delivering regular updates for the game throughout each new season as well as new and exciting features that have not been implemented during our time in Early Access.

Patch 1.0 Release Notes

Clan System
Creating a clan allows you to build with other players, and allows you to share land claim permissions with them. When you place a land claim, anyone in your clan will be able to build inside your claimed land. You will also be able to build inside their claimed land. Your clan tag will display on your character nametag and inside the player menu. The default maximum size of a clan is 10, with the option to increase slots through upgrades and the premium clan option. Premium Clan's also have access to more tag color options. The option for upgrading clan slots will be implemented in the future. The clan system is still experimental - so there are some things that are subject to change.

Clan members can upgrade/place inside the clans claim, but the land claim owner will still be the only one who can destroy objects there. This is going to be adjusted based on player feedback in the next updates.

You cannot currently modify the clan tag or name after creating a clan. This is going to be added in one of the next patches. So if you are making a clan please ensure you select a name and tag carefully.

Important Note: If you place a land claim before making or joining a clan and want clan members to build in your land claim - you can dismantle your claim and replace it to activate the clan permissions. The same applies to turrets - you will need to pick up and place turrets again to ensure they have the clan permissions.

Greetings Survivors!

As a reminder, Season 4 is coming to an end this week and this is your last chance to purchase level boosts for the Season 4 pass if you have been holding off. Also all season pass rewards must be claimed before this weekend. We will also be removing the Season 4 premium skin crates from the shop once the season ends.

For those that have skin crates in your steam inventory, you will still be able to open them at any time.

Greetings Survivors!

Patch 9.4.3 implements several suggestions based on community feedback as well as some minor bug fixes. As Season 4 is coming to a close soon, we have implemented the option for players who have not completed their premium season pass to be able to purchase the remaining levels they would like to unlock. Each level costs 250 X-Coin to unlock and will grant the rewards on the Season Pass for that level. Purchasing Season Pass levels does not impact your in game player level.

To purchase each level you would like to unlock, click on the Season Pass button from the main menu. This will bring up your current Season Pass and show you the progress you have made throughout Season 4. To purchase an unlock for the next Season Pass reward, click on the Purchase level button and that level's reward will then be unlocked for you to claim. Level boosts that have been purchased will be shown under your player level on the Season Pass UI.

One of the biggest pieces of feedback from players we've seen has been the request for ways to access roofs that can be jumped on top of from the helicopter transport. To help with balancing roof camping, various buildings throughout the towns have had fire escapes added which will allow players to push others that might be holding down the roof of a building.

Finally, we have decided to extend last weekend's 2x/3x XP Boost Event until the end of Season 4 to help everyone achieve level 100!

As always we appreciate all of the support and feedback the community has shown. For the latest, be sure to join our discord where we have started previewing new content coming for Season 5. We will also be providing updates regarding the start date and time for the new season, which is set to be this weekend!

Patch 9.4.1 brings a new item to XERA: Survival as well as a few balance changes based on community feedback. With this patch, we are releasing the sticky bomb which can be thrown just like a grenade, however it will attach itself to an object and can be detonated at any time just like C4. We also made a few quality of life changes to the crafting menu so players will be able to craft more than 1 item in a single click as well as fixed a few bugs with the displaying of items on the Survivor Exchange. The last big change you will notice in this patch is based on community feedback, we've increased to spawn rates of the Remmington 870 Shotgun.

Our team is hard at work behind the scenes preparing for Season 5 and we will be providing more information on when Season 5 will begin soon. As always we appreciate your support, feedback, and ideas and hope these balance and quality of life changes provide a more enjoyable and dynamic experience.

XERA: Survival - IcedYoshi

Greetings Survivors!

Patch 9.4 introduces the all new Survivor Exchange! The Survivor Exchange allows players to buy and sell in game items from other players without having to be online. This functions by using your global inventory and allows you to list any item that is currently in your global inventory for sale. Once the item has been listed, the item is removed from your global stash and placed on the marketplace. Items you purchase from the survivor exchange will automatically be stored in your global inventory and you can retrieve them once you re-join any server. The Survivor Exchange is available to all players once they have reached level 15 in game.

Developer Note: Items purchased on the survivor exchange can only be used on servers that have the Global Inventory available. PVE servers are not able to have access to items that are stored in the Global Inventory, thus items purchased from the Survivor Exchange may not be retrieved on PVE only servers.

From the main menu, access the Survivor Exchange by clicking on Survivor Exchange at the top of the main menu screen. Clicking on Browse Items will bring up a listing of all items available for sale on the Survivor Exchange.

When purchasing an item from the Survivor Exchange, a confirmation box will appear along with the item details. Item listings are sold by bundles so if there are 75 of an item in the bundle, the price listed is for all 75 of that item. Bundles can not be split apart so when listing items for sale, keep in mind the price you list an item for is for the entire amount of that item, that you are offering for sale.

To list an item for sale, click on the list item for sale button. This will display all items available in your global inventory. The number of items you are allowed to list is based on your player level starting with 10 listings at level 15. Each time you level up, an additional slot will be available for an additional listing. When listing items, a 10% fee of the listing price is applied to the item listing and will be deducted from your in-game currency upon listing your item for sale on the Survivor Exchange. Upgraded premium listings will be highlighted in gold and do not have any listing fees for placing the item for sale on the Survivor Exchange.

Click on an item to bring up the list item screen where you will input the quantity you want to sell of that item, and the price you want to charge. As a reminder, the price you list for your listing is for the entire quantity you are offering of that item and is NOT the price per item. Ensure you double check that the price you want to charge for the listing is for the entire quantity and not just for 1 of that item. Listing fees are non-refundable once your listing has been posted so be sure to double check everything before offering your items for sale.

Clicking on sold Items will show you items that you have listed and sold on the Survivor Exchange. To claim the cash from the sale of the items, you will click on the complete button. Once you have completed the transaction, the amount earned from the sale of your item will be credited to your in game currency balance. Items can not be purchased or sold for X-Coin, only in game currency.

Clicking on the purchased items button will allow you to see your purchase history for all items purchased from the Survivor Exchange.

We know this has been a long awaited feature and we're excited to finally be able to bring the Survivor Exchange to the game. Developer Note: We are aware that items purchased from the survivor exchange can cause you to go over your available weight in your global inventory. This is intended for the time being and may change in the future.
