What’s Next?
More CPUs: One of our top requests is to add i9 CPUs and they are coming, we need to ensure we have socket 2066 motherboards ready for use before they can be included though. The new 2nd Generation Threadrippers will also get added in the near future once we have the correct benchmarking data for them.
Custom Water Cooling: This work is still ongoing, once we have it ready in a form that can be properly playtested we will get it in your hands for feedback.
We get a lot of requests for various CORSAIR components so the update today gives a nice bump to the available parts from one of your favourite brands. There are still more to come so don’t worry if something is missing from this update.

We’ve been thinking about ideas for Steam Achievements recently and, in early access spirit, we’d like to invite you to help us shape them.
First some rules, most of these are obvious but this is the internet. Any suggestions deemed inappropriate or include bad language will be discounted. Even if you win it doesn't mean we’ll put your achievement in game, the winners of a community vote will receive a prize. If we think any ideas put forward are good ones and are technically possible, we’ll put them in the game. Finally, the vote will be held on Reddit, here. The winners will be the top 3 most up-voted suggestions (that meet the rules). We’ll include a full list of rules at the bottom.
So, what are the prizes? The top three voted suggestions will receive the latest in PC repairman fashion, a PC Building Simulator t-shirt. Custom ordered to your size, you’ll even have choice between a normal t-shirt (boring) and a pun t-shirt (pick this one)!
(images for illustration purposes only, final designs might change)
Lastly, if your suggestion makes it into the top 10 and we use it, we’ll send you a PC Building Simulator sticker!
OKAY! Let the voting begin!
Achievement suggestions should have a name and details of how it is achieved.
All suggestions should be in English please.
No swearing when naming achievements.
Only Reddit votes count.
Our decisions are final.
Stickers are sent out at our discretion.
Open worldwide, but any winners will need a valid shipping address.

It has been a busy few weeks for the PC Building Simulator team but we have finally reached a point where we can release the initial version of our next big feature: Overclocking.
Please Note: This is a major feature update to the game and will be tweaked and improved in the coming weeks based on feedback and bug reports. Various art will be improved once functionality has been confirmed as working as expected.
Build v0.8.3.1 Highlights
Overclocking
With this update PC builders will be able to overclock their creations by adjusting areas such as CPU clock speed, CPU voltage, RAM speed, RAM voltage, GPU clock speed, VRAM clock speed and more.
Just like in real-life the aim with overclocking is to push the performance of your hardware to the maximum while maintaining system stability and balancing the heat generated from doing so. Be careful how much you push your hardware, if you push things too far you can break your overclocked components!
We have added a new PC app based on OCCT that will allow you to run a short (yes, this is shorter than the 3DMark time!) stress test of your overclocked hardware so let you know if the system is stable or not.
Overclocking things to know:
Overclocking is unlocked for CPUs at level 6 and GPUs at level 13 in Career Mode or right away in Free Build mode.
CPU and RAM settings are adjusted in the Bios which can be access via holding the DEL or F2 while booting a PC.
Enabling XMP in the Bios for RAM will auto clock your RAM if you don’t want to manually set values.
GPU settings are adjusted via a new PC app called GPU Tuner. Pushing the CPU and RAM too far can result in the part breaking permanently. GPUs can not currently break.
Each purchased component has a variance in overclocking ability to simulate the silicon lottery.
Overclocked system stability issues can result in blue screens on a PC and CPUs will throttle back performance when overheating.
Jobs in Career do not currently request any overclocking features, this will change once the feature is complete.
Career Additions
The player level has been increased from 20 to 25 in this update to allow for 5 new story missions that will appear during these levels.
In addition, we have added random job support for both Dual GPUs and Water Cooling.
