Hey guys! Here's house party 0.9.6. This was mostly a techincal/bug-fix update, but there's some new content in there also and a few Easter eggs!
As usual, if you'd like to continue your saved game from 0.9.3, you'll need to right-click on House Party in your Steam Library, click Properties, and on the BETAS tab, opt into 0.9.3. It’s been a busy year for House Party! The game has seen a ton of new additions and improvements to this point in our Early Access period. Highlights include:
New Additions
Two Short Stories: Date Night with Brittney & A Vickie Vixen Valentine’s Day
New characters and tons of new story content – in addition to the short stories, we’ve added many new quests to the original Early Access release and introduced “conversational routes” to “win” with certain girls.
Several new game mechanics including the ability for the player to get drunk, and realistic NPC reactions to intoxication, nudity, fighting, etc.
An entire backyard area with hot tub, gazebo, and fire pit.
Art for a surrounding neighborhood over the fence.
Every NPC has been professionally voice acted and their movements are now tied to custom animations done for us at Take One Studio.
Improvements
The AI is now much more robust and characters behave differently depending on their relationships with other NPC’s and the player.
Many of the NPC’s have been redone by our in-house character modeler.
We have rearranged the house to better suit NPC path-finding and general game-play ergonomics.
House Party has also taken on a new dimension with an upgraded lighting engine that makes the house and NPC’s look fantastic.
Implemented a thorough graphics menu with the ability to toggle real time lights, shadows, Vsync, and volumetric lighting.
The command console has been redone with the addition of ability to resize objects and body parts.
All characters including men now have dancing animations.
Male NPCs were given genitals and can have sex with other NPCs.
We’ve also had an environmental modeler join the team, and they’ve made some beautiful updates to furniture, props and game lighting.
NOTE: This version contains a lot of graphical enhancements, all of which can be switched off in the main menu and escape menu in game. If you are experiencing any decrease in performance, you may need to adjust these options, as well as your screen resolution upon first opening up the game.

We made the decision to include some last minute updates we've been working on to 0.8.8 since they ended up being ready to go. We are not incrementing the game version so as to preserve save files. We have greatly improved a lot of performance aspects of the latest updates we've put out, and for those of you maxing out on FPS or getting input lag, you should now have a much smoother experience.
CHANGE LOG:
Fix for Vickie running away during Never Have I Ever
Fix for gutter not being clickable
Optimizations and performance tweaks for new content
Dialogue audio now streams from HDD (smaller memory footprint)
