Exactly one year ago today a new spark of life emerged in the rugged wilds of indie game releases. Brought to life thanks to the combined efforts of publisher 11 bit studios and developer Digital Sun Games, both parents are pleased to celebrate the first birthday of their not-so-little-anymore indie game prodigy, Moonlighter.
Watch below as life emerges in the wild universe of indie games:
https://youtu.be/4lqL8hEu_ZA Baby Moonlighter, born on May 29th, 2018 was a quick learner. Despite the games market hardships, this young indie title proved to be a strong contender in the intensely competitive gaming community. With continued growth, Moonlighter gained trust and appreciation from its fans thanks to the numerous updates it sprouted — the More Stock Update, Adventure Update, Friends & Foes, and more. On top of that, Moonlighter broadened its territory — starting on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One hunting grounds, it bravely took over the Nintendo Switch environment.
Now, entering its adult stage of life, Moonlighter is ready to show off its own offspring to the world! The Between Dimensions DLC will populate the game’s world with new monsters, a new dungeon, plenty of new gear, and trick weapons. Be sure not to miss any of them.
Thanks for your constant support and for being awesome, Heroes and Merchants! Also, to celebrate the occasion, we've discounted Moonlighter on Steam! It's 50% OFF! https://store.steampowered.com/app/606150/Moonlighter/
We love you all! Digital Sun Games & 11 bit studios
It’s been almost a year since we’ve released Moonlighter in 2018. Your response to the game was nothing short of amazing, you’ve sent us myriads of positive comments and honest feedback which – in the long term – helped us improve the game and add some features your adventurous hearts desired. Our team was able to introduce things like: 100 new room patterns, new skins, New Game+ mode, pirate weapons, rings, companions, minibosses – just to name a few.
It makes us super happy to see that Moonlighter’s community is growing all the time and today we are celebrating 500 000+ copies of the game sold around the world!
For an indie studio like Digital Sun – this number is truly amazing! But we are not stopping there! Together with 11 bit studios, we are happy to announce that our first paid DLC, Between Dimensions, is coming out this year and it is our biggest expansion so far. The DLC enlarges the main experience by filling current dungeons with new creatures, populating all-new Interdimensional Dungeon with mini-bosses, swarming the adventure with new weapons, armory, shop items, and rings.
On top of that, there are never-seen-before Trick Weapons giving you some special powers – but they can be a little bit punishing (and, well, tricky) at the same time, so be sure to use them wisely. You can also expect some new visitors to hop by the village of Rynoka as well as numerous gadgets to reskin and upgrade Will’s shop, too.
Between Dimensions DLC introduces:
A brand-new Interdimensional Dungeon
10 original enemies and 5 minibosses
Full set of weapons with a new short sword, big sword, bow, gloves, and spear
Set of armor with a new helmet, chest, and boots
Trick Weapons – 10 unique weapons – both powerful… and punishing!
New Rings – which are boosting Will’s passive abilities
New Shop upgrade – allowing Will to showcase his new Interdimensional Items
New Customers asking to trade and an unfamiliar NPC: The Trader
Between Dimensions DLC is planned for Summer 2019 and it is going to be available on all platforms this year, too!
At this point, you might be thinking: “Whoa, that’s really something! They surely can’t be working on something else!” – but it is still not all the news that we have! Our courageous team is also working on a mobile port of Moonlighter! Well, scratch that. Moonlighter for mobile is not your regular port. It is an adaptation. And that makes the difference. It’s going to be enhanced and adjusted to use the best of mobile devices: rebalanced mechanics, redesigned levels and enemies, with brand new controls. We are also very happy to announce that the mobile version is also planned for the year 2019! Yay!
We hope that you’re as excited as we are about this news! Now, let us celebrate the barrier of half a million units sold with the promotional sale of Moonlighter on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/606150/Moonlighter/
We are happy to announce that Beat Cop is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Retro pixel art experience with a non-linear story and multiple endings
The pure essence of ‘80s cop shows
Mature *ahem* humor
Laying down the law, one ticket at a time
Originally developed for PC by the indie team at Pixel Crow and published by 11 bit studios, Beat Cop: Console Edition has been brought to life by the sweet, huggable team at Crunching Koalas.
Moonlighter’s Friends & Foes Update is here just in time for Valentine’s Day - 'cause nothing says LOVE like strengthening bonds through monster slaying.
Someone smart said that a true friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “Let’s slay some monsters together!”. And even though our freshly introduced 9 familiars cannot really talk - they are more than happy to aid you during the most dangerous endeavors. To counterbalance that, though, we’ve also added brand new ferocious minibosses - so we’re hoping that you and your new companions are getting on well with each other, you’re gonna need all the help you can get! On top of that, we’ve added plenty of other features and fixes - find a Feature Overview video and the full list of changes below! https://youtu.be/spd-mDqqRD8
NEW FEATURES AND MAJOR CHANGES
Companions
We have developed 9 new familiars. To get them, you need to kill a particular enemy type 10 times. Then, a special Egg will appear! After 3 days, the egg will hatch inside your farm - and your new friend is going to be ready for action! Each familiar has different mechanics. They can damage enemies, restore your life, get items for you, act as an additional chest and more
Minibosses
We have added 8 minibosses! They will appear as guardians of the dungeons, securing gateways leading to deeper rooms. They will emerge at the end of the first and second floor in each dungeon.
Zenon’s Campfire
From now on, when you visit the dungeons at night, Zenon will be there, sitting by his campfire, ready to tell you some stories of old, about Rynoka and Moonlighter’s world. Those tales will be unlocked with the game’s progression.
Tomo Stories
We've modified and added more lines for Tomo. They should explain her relationship with Will better, shedding some light on their mutual past.
Banker Information
We have introduced a lot of special warnings and UI changes to avoid the Banker "stealing" your money. A lot of you forgot to revisit that mustachioed capitalist and were losing the investment.
Sorting Items
We've added a sorting method inside the inventory.
Get the Broom!
We’ve added the possibility to get the Broom™ from Le Retailer (if you’ve managed to lose it somehow!). The Broom™ is important for getting some achievements - so we hope you’re gonna like that little feature!
Prices Update
We’ve added a new system in the Shop to better inform whenever Item’s price gets updated.

Important notice: we've worked hard to make this Update available simultaneously for all the platforms (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC etc.).
However, it may be available during different hours for various platforms. So don't panic if you notice this update on PC but not on your console at the same time! All versions should be synchronized later today.
Of course, that's not our last word! We're working on more content and we're going to announce it as soon as we're ready!
We're proud to introduce a small Winter Holiday Update accompanied by various minor bugfixes and performance tweaks.
In terms of bigger fixes: we fixed the Quest NPC issue you've been reporting on the forums. From now on Quest NPCs should be taking a proper amount of quest items and not an single item more!
Also, remember that Moonlighter is 33% OFF during Steam Winter Sale!
We hope your going to enjoy running in the snow and dodging those snowmen - even though they are totally harmless! And as much as we love seeing you playing our game - remember to turn off your PC for a while and spend time with your friends and family.

creepy bats!

...and few more, small, ominous decorations!
It's a purely cosmetic update - but we hope it will get you in the proper mood for Halloween. :summerghost:

Infinite loading when using the portal in the new patch with old save.
Desert Dungeon: Player gets stuck in a room upon traversing to 2nd/3rd floors.
Bard puppet makes buffed enemies immortal.
Patrol Golem is rolling out of the room in the challenge room.
Healing ponds stop healing Will after charging attack with Gloves.
Cloning items hack in Special rooms.
Softlock when talking to NPC as they may teleport.
Softlock when obtaining emblem and pausing game.
Softlock if you die inside a Slime.
Golem Dungeon: 'Tutorial' Golem Butler spawned on the 3rd floor.
Shileds do not appear correctly on PC.
FPS drops after walking in "Elemental Puddles".
OSX: Placeholder instead of enchanted weapon icon.
Other various stability and performance fixes.
Fixes in 1.7.10:
Micro fix making sure all above fixes are available for all new and current users.
A few short weeks ago, we have released details for Roadmap of updates for Moonlighter. Today, we are ecstatic to announce that the very first one, the More Stock Update, is already available for all PC players — for free! The update will follow on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 over the coming weeks so be sure to follow all our channels to stay up to date!
We have added 100 more room patterns to the game! We’ve also introduced another brand new element to the mix: the puddles. They are going to poison Will in the forest, burn him in the Desert and electrify his hero-wannabe guts in the Tech dungeon. This new element has given us more possibilities to design new rooms. Poor Will... No worries, though - we have also added more rooms without puddles!
Special post-boss room
From now on, after defeating Boss in a dungeon - you can re-enter his chamber to find it crawling with monsters! This new room will provide an extra challenge - beat it quick enough to unlock all three chests. The chest timer will stop whenever you kill ALL the enemies. So, if you're a slowpoke - only one or two chests will be unlocked for you. Only true Heroes deserve the most handsome rewards!
About the chests themselves: each one is related to the kind of chest that you can find in each floor, so the first one will probably be a wooden chest or a silver chest. However, the second one will probably be a silver or a gold one! And - as you can already expect - the third one could even be the purple, magical one! This gives you different possibilities and motivation to go back to the dungeons that you've already finished.
Oh, and by the way: those chests have more loot than the standard ones that you normally find in the dungeons!
New armor skins
Now, every time you decide (and you should!) to upgrade piece of armor it will have a different aesthetic associated with the dungeon, also the armor icon will be different. Here you can see the preview of Tier 1 armor skin:
New visual effects for enchanted weapons
We’ve added new particle FX for enchanted weapons that are triggering whenever you use the weapon. The FX has 3 different levels that are associated with each enchantment level. So, the more enchanted weapon - the cooler it becomes!
On top of that, we’ve added a little glint effect that it is applied to the icon of an enchanted weapon inside the inventory, so you can identify enchanted weapons easier.
New in-game tutorials
We have added these scrolls that will appear whenever you upgrade your shop and and some kind of new feature appears. We’ve prepared these new tutorials for:
Decoration items (Shop level 2)
Wealthy customers (Shop level 2)
Quests (Shop level 3)
Crystal showcases (Shop level 3)
Shop Helper (Shop level 4)
Here’s an example of one of the tutorials:
DLC Backer Weapon
It is finally here: a special weapon we designed for Kickstarter backers (again: thank you SO much for supporting us back in the day)! It is a very unique Supporter Bow! What's very cool about it - is that Blacksmith can upgrade this weapon for you - so it won't become obsolete in the subsequent dungeons.
▷ ▷ QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES
Adding Skip button in starting cutscene
Removed tourist bubble icon. Tourists and rich people work basically the same - so there is no point to differentiate them from the UI-standpoint.
