As you may have have noticed, we have decided to cancel the Kickstarter campaign for Flashing Lights. Those who backed probably read the private message alerting players that this was happening before we cancelled it. However, we wanted to take this chance to make it very clear that the game is still planned for an Early Access release in 2018.
There are many elements that impacted our decision to cancel the Kickstarter, ranging from launching the campaign too early, to it simply not being the right platform for Flashing Lights.
The game will be developed, and it will deliver what was promised in the base Kickstarter text and images/videos.
A little over a week ago we took Flashing Lights to EGX, we watched a lot of players try out the game, met a couple of backers and had an oportunity to get some feedback directly from players. It was a great experience and has motivated us to push the game as far as we can.
Those of you who visited us at EGX, thank you for taking the time to play the game and speak with Nils to share your thoughts and ideas.
We cannot thank you enough for all of your support, and you've inspired us to work harder than ever on delivering a great police, fire and EMS game.
Make sure to keep up to date with the game by adding Flashing Lights to your Steam Wishlist. Please do keep all of your feedback, be it positive or constructive criticism, coming via the Steam forums.
If you wish to keep updated on Flashing Lights via email, then you can sign up at www.emergencyinprogress.com.

Flashing Lights is gearing up for a release in Early 2018! You'll be able to play the game online with six person multiplayer. We'll be featuring Police, Fire and EMS departments and are currently working on refining the core game mechanics.
We wanted to share with you the progress of the Police departments systems. The video below details some of the things that you're able to do with civilians and vehicles in game.
This is of course Pre alpha gameplay, meaning that the game will be more polished and assets will have been reworked by the time Flashing Lights releases. BUT we did want to give you a peek into some of the gameplay mechanics you can expect from the game!
Flashing Lights is currently on Kickstarter, if you want to support the game and pick up some exclusive rewards, you can back the project by clicking the banner below:
