Hello friends! Your Ferris wheel cabin has slowly come next to Monday, and as always, the fresh issue of Choo-Choo Weekly falls on your knees. Last week, only three maps were added to the workshop, but they are excellent! With great pleasure, we hurry to tell you about them.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1775417932 A survival game by @angryxpeh. You are preparing to go IPO, however, due to the fact that you have little experience in this matter, your friends advise you to be ready for failure and stock up on instant noodles. Well, you can only hope that they will generously share some boiling water with you :) But we think you have every chance of success. You will definitely like the dizzying landscape, high-speed trains will run like a roller coaster in an amusement park. Good job, @angryxpeh, map’s place is in Featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1778598717 @莫高雷蒙牛 put Frostpunk into Train Valley 2 so you can play Frostpunk while you play Train Valley 2. If this is an advertisement, then it is very good! Indeed, the atmosphere is recreated with great accuracy: coal productions of all kinds are everywhere, thermal power plants are in the center of the valley and people are arriving. Well, try to warm everyone here and save Manchester. Elaborate work, @莫高雷蒙牛, definitely Featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1773609524 The central place today is occupied by maestro @h2onik with no less elaborate work "Ghost towns". If you do not have the habit of reading the description of the level before its first launch, then you probably will not notice what makes it so special and what the huge hangar is. However, together with Craig Mazin, @h2onik puts another monument to human errors, on which it is important to work and remember them for the sake of the future. Using the standard objects in the level editor, the author has created an exact miniature of an overgrown abandoned city with its Soviet five-story buildings and the famous Ferris wheel. Of course, the huge hangar is New Safe Confinement over the 4th power unit of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was finished just 2 years ago. Move back in time a little and help finish it! Of course, it requires a lot of workers and engineers, as well as metal and other building materials. You will have to transport workers from afar because there is still almost no one in the exclusion zone... Thank you for such an important level, @h2onik, your victory today is unconditional. The €10 Steam Gift Card goes to neighboring Poland!
It seems that this is all that we wanted to tell you today. Take care of yourself and your loved ones and look for inspiration in everything that surrounds you. With the help of our level editor you can create your own story and tell us what is important to you. We are always waiting for your work. See you soon, friends!
Hello friends! It seems the summer travel season has begun, but Choo-Choo Weekly will never leave you without a fresh overview of the best works of the past week. On this warm June day, you can gladly open the workshop and find sea, sun, and…
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1767878451 ...the upcoming apocalypse. However, there is also a small lake there, but we would not advise checking out the water. @unclekrusty, on the other hand, encourages you to cast aside your fear of grazing cattle in the infected fields and think about the future. You have to get food and ore while opening new ways and creatively solve logistics problems. A very meditative and atmospheric map for a long, languid evening. Of course, you will find it in Featured.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1771758548 Small islands are scattered in the sea and all factories and cities look like toys compared to huge waves. From the outset, you are very limited in funds and you need to find a way to quickly raise capital. Hint: use shortcuts ;) The main production on these islands is aviation, which makes you fully feel the thirst for traveling beyond these tiny pieces of land. Very fascinating sketch from the recognized master @h2onik, which deservedly goes to Featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1771029248 We love debut levels. The @Nimu map is no exception: very well balanced and thoughtful, it may mark the beginning of a whole collection of works. In any case, we would be very happy about this! Take a look at the description: behind the usual green picture, there is a fascinating story about the mayors of two cities who could not share the responsibility, which ultimately falls on you. Try to distribute the available budget correctly and finally deal with bridges. While you are choosing between a sand pit and logging, we are happy to hand over a $10 Steam gift card to @Nimu!
That's all, friends. We hope you already have plans for this summer. We, in turn, can assure you that we plan to meet with you this coming Friday at our traditional competition! See you later!
Looks like an upgrade to Unity 2019 engine brought some new bugs, freezes, and launch problems. We decided to roll back to Unity 2018. Probably after several months engine will be more stable and we will try a new version again.
Features added:
- Engine changed back to Unity 2018.
Please keep us updated about this version stability. We are always here! Stay tuned! :tv2conductor:
Hello everyone! Choo-Choo Weekly and new awesome levels from the workshop are here. We can’t wait to tell you more about them, so we will not hesitate ‒ let's go!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1759994003 Let's start with the warm sunny Italian Alps. Green meadows are in front of you as if descended from canvases of pastoral painters that you have to bring to life with threads of railways. Traditional animal husbandry is complemented by the production of printed materials, because each inhabitant of these small towns needs to relax in the evenings with a book in their hands in their lush garden. If you love Italy just like @Giangi7723, then you can find other maps about this beautiful country on the author's Steam page!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1763314839 The author of 50 levels of the main campaign of the game, @Grem made an excellent level for the workshop, or rather, specifically for our competition Let’s play together. Looking at the name of the map, you can probably guess who will look at you from this quiet picturesque lake. @Grem offers you a choice of a whole bunch of options for completing this level, and during the day that the competition lasted, it seemed to us that the competition with such maps should be extended 2 times so that there is enough time for everyone to try and hone all the routes and find the most optimal one. However, it is not necessary for you to set records (they are not so easy to beat, by the way), it is much more pleasant to look idly at the uncomplicated landscape, that hides so many routes in some magical way. You will definitely find the work of the Master in Featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1762600208 The new map from @h2onik is like a box under the Christmas tree in December: whatever is hidden in it, it will definitely be a pleasant surprise. And the current box amazed us! In it, we found a fantastic story about a Polish engineer who was invited to Peru to build a railway and designed an amazing route that connected the Pacific and Atlantic oceans through the Andes. This was a real engineering marvel (by the standards of the second half of the 19th century; however, even now this road is impressive) that included dozens of tunnels, bridges and viaducts, and also ran at an altitude of over 4800 meters above sea level! Construction was carried out in incredibly difficult conditions and @h2onik very accurately reflected this in her work ‒ destruction and rockfalls were a frequent occurrence. We are sure that it would not be an exaggeration to say that this map is another monument to Ernest Malinovsky from his compatriot and a fan of railways. We are extremely happy to learn such fascinating stories through the levels in the workshop and are happy to give @h2onik Steam gift card with a par value of €10. Bravo!
That's all we wanted to tell you today. We hope our winners inspire you to create levels ‒ or at least read Wikipedia :) Don't forget about our contest, friends. See you later!
Hello friends! A calendar summer has arrived in the northern hemisphere, and although there are snowdrifts in some northern cities today, we hopefully put our hats in the closet (of course, for now, we leave the scarf nearby). We have already chosen the best level of May, and now it’s time to present you the candidates for June. You probably noticed the update of the main menu and now you surely want to visit the workshop more often, or even get to know it for the first time. Let's see what's new there!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1755241804 Debut work of @BSIK. Three cities on the island are going to equip their homes and go to the mainland for the most necessary. Try to rationally plan their routes and do not forget that you can always ask a neighbor to pick up your package ;) Excellent start, @BSIK, we are waiting for your new works!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1757920689 Holiday-map from last week’s winner @Eërendil. Quidditch World Cup! Who has not dreamed to touch the world of this truly magical sport? You have a unique chance to participate in the organization of a grand match. Get more brooms! But do not forget to deliver the students to Hogwarts and provide the castle with food and textbooks. A beautiful map with an interesting landscape from the wizard @Eërendil goes to Featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1758571851 The first place today goes to @Po with a story that takes us more than a hundred years into the past. You will be fully immersed in the era of the Gold Rush. Before you is Chilkoot Pass and a long, long way to the coveted gold. Do not be confused by the lack of funds to build all the way to the gold mines ‒ the trains will go for so long that you will have time to earn money to finish building the rails. Therefore, send getters from the first second! A very unusual level with historical background and interesting gameplay. Like seekers of gold at the end of the 19th century, you will need all your courage and ingenuity to reach it. Excellent card, @Po, a $10 Steam gift card is deservedly yours!
It has been an excellent week in the workshop. We are happy to see new authors, their work is fresh and unusual. Friends, be sure to try the level editor, you can make a simple level even in half an hour. See you at the competition!
Hello friends! A hot summer season is officially started! So it is time to reveal the best level of May. And the winner is: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1729644442 The economy balance is incredible here. Locomotives upgrade, a number of cars, production queue - everything is very tight and solid. And the visual is really appealing or maybe we just love fjords? Our congratulations to @alphrost! You are the best workshop master of May! The prize is 30€ steam gift card and our Train Valley 2 pin! Congratulations!
Want to see your name on the next cover of Train Valley Time? Give your inner child some freedom! Open our level editor and express your imagination. It's really fun! Jump in, we are waiting for you! :tv2conductor:

Hope it will help to keep you (our players) updated about our recent news even if you are not following the game on Steam community hub. Here is the full list of changes:

Subscribe/unsubscribe buttons worked only after the second click.
Please let us know if you face any problems with this update. We are here to help as always. Don't forget that we have a "Let's play together" challenge today!
Hello, our loved players! The Choo-Choo Weekly train has arrived right on schedule. It has delivered you the latest batch of May winners, from which the best level of the month will be selected soon. Meet them!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1750279139 Meditative relaxing map from @reg. Two large cities require many different resources. And you have no barriers to supply! Ready routes, fast trains, many ports ‒ what else to dream? Dedicated to all who had a hard day.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1749325915 The winner is "One Ring to Rule Them All". You will surely recognize these landscapes: @Eërendil plunges us into the authentic world of J. R. R. Tolkien. Here, everything is exactly according to the plot: each folk is engaged in its work, and your task is to divide the rings and deliver them to the destinations. This short but very dynamic map will not leave you indifferent, because you will have to assemble a puzzle from the bizarre ratios of train capacity and resources, without stopping the game! This is the debut work of @Eërendil and it firmly deserves first place. Congratulations on your victory and we are happy to give a $10 Steam card.
That's all! Ahead of us is the summing up of the month and, of course, Let’s play together contest. We remind you that we have new prizes and the conditions for receiving them ‒ now it is getting better and more interesting! Be sure to join. See you later! :tv2conductor:
Hello friends! It's a new week, and it's time to see what's new in our workshop. The main thing is that we have new authors and their first works are worthy of attention and praise. Meet those guys!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1744769022 Debut map from @[KGL] Hillbilly. People feed people ‒ such a simple plot, but so many stories can be built upon it! This map is well balanced in terms of budget. Be careful when upgrading locomotives. Simple and elegant, like a little black dress, it goes to our closet with featured maps. Check it out from time to time to find a level for every taste, mood and available time.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1741024381 Riddle-level from @Inspector. You are free to choose paths, but with a high degree of probability, you will use this freedom incorrectly during your first playthrough. Even the progress of filling the warehouses gives you tips Cheshire Cat-style: you will not feel relieved. For more fun @Inspector forbids us to stop a train, so if you suddenly realize that you need to send the released train in another direction, you will have to build new rails right under its wheels. Excellent puzzle, the map unconditionally goes to featured!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1741615769 On the throne today is the "Company Merger". @Phlosioneer entrusts you with two bankrupt companies that need to be pulled from the bottom. All paths are built and you can only slightly optimize them. This map has extremely intricate routes and terrain, you should constantly monitor each train, because the rails intersect in the most unexpected places. Pay attention to the author's advices in the description of the level, they will help you a lot. This is the first work of @Phlosioneer and it is just great! Congratulations on your victory and we are happy to hand over a $10 Steam Gift Card.
How do you like our winners? We remind you that every week the levels from the workshop become a battle arena for the "Let's play together" competition and very soon we will update the rules: the prizes will become even more interesting! Follow the news. See you soon, friends! :tv2conductor: :tv2loco:
