Hello everyone! Here is our Christmas Spirit update. Maybe it is little bit early, but our workshop authors already started this trend. So we are happy to announce an official xmas set for your workshop levels!

Features added:
- A set of new Christmas themed objects for workshop.
- Update of "safe area" frame in level editor. Now there is a notification if production is potentially out of visible area.
- Stations and productions can't be scaled in workshop (to avoid unexpected train crashes).

Bugs fixed:
- Improved import of custom models. Now it should work better (thanks to @SacrilegeGG).
- Problem with bridge entrance and tracks connection (thanks to @sayakai for this issue).
- Problem with electricity connection if tunnel is built under the bridge entrance (thanks to @Tashathepanda and @Mr. Dudley and others in this thread).
- Now tunnels and bridges can't be built from the same cell.
- Problem with a tunnel located under the station.
- Levels map problem. Now stars are grey (not black) if level was not played.
- Bug with achievements given for ages that are not completed yet (thanks to @(Sveta*Sova))

Hello Everyone! Wellcome back to our Choo-Choo digest, where we are going to tell you everything about new hot levels directly from our workshop! Full steam ahead!

Let me start from unusual level by @unclekrusty: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1582856295 Level is taking place on TRAIN VALLEY 2 islands. Literally. But do not judge by clothes - in the end of the day we have chosen this map not only because of our narcissism. There is a solid amount of gameplay behind "Archipelogo" concept. Three factories, four cities and the only 7 bridges limit. Quite a challenging puzzle. Try to crack it yourself! Good job @unclekrusty! Featured! :tvloco:

Four peninsulas connected with bridges. "What can be more trivial?" - you say? Try the "Quarters" by @h2onik: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1581840876 Just look at that "fancy" figure of tracks in the middle of the map! Want to try it already? I should warn you: with that small amount of money on the start there is A LOT of things to solve at the same time. Perfect Guy Julius Caesar simulator for both hemispheres of your brain! And it is just 15 minutes long! Brevity is the soul of wit indeed! Thats why we love maps by @h2onik! Surely featured! :tvloco:

And this week's winner is @The Good, The Bad and The Dudley, with the level "Looking a Lot Like Christmas!": https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1583318918
Somewhere deep in my soul I was always sure that Santa uses trains on his North Pole Factory. Have you ever wanted to help him with his crunch? Thanks to Mr. Dudley now you have such opportunity! Believe me after this level you will be as stressed as aged elf before pension. :tvmachinist: Well deserved 10$ steam gift card goes to Gryffindor Mr. Dudley! Wellcome back to the pedestal, maestro!

What a great levels we have this week! Can't even imagine what would be further! And our next update is right behind your chimney! Stay tuned! :tv2conductor:

Hello Engineers! We are one week closer to Christmas! And it's time to think about decorating your house with some beautiful wreaths, garlands and candles. And we are going to decorate your evening with new great levels from our workshop.

Do you want to travel from Chicago to San Francisco on the Amtrak train? @H2onik provides you such opportunity in the new level called "California Zephyr" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1580690897 This quick but challenging level with picturesque sunny valley is a perfect fit if you are missing some summer and juggling of trains coming from outside of the screen! Definitely featured! Great job @h2onik!

Do you want to live in a castle surrounded by a moat? Sounds great, right? But what would you do if the bridge is broken? You can try to find an answer in a new colorful map by our award-winning author @Mr. Dudley: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1577985276 This map puts the question squarely in the very beginning. How it is even possible to start with only 3000 in your pocket? And it keeps you in tension throughout all the session (35-50 mins) requiring maximum of your concentration. @Dudley masterfully proves that you don't need a huge map to create interesting puzzles and a serious logistical challenge. Bravo maestro!

And the winner of the week is one more medieval themed level by @Gemanera called "Castle 1.2"! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1577493887 Looks like Castle 1.0 and Castle 1.1 were eaten by workshop langoliers but we are really happy to get the finest version of this scenario. Probably it was inspired by alpine landscapes with beautiful castles high in a mountains with equally empyreal prices for square meter. This map will tell you an intriguing story about people of the valley gathering money to redeem the kidnapped heir to the throne (or invest a billion in cryptocurrencies). Or... you can come up with your own plot trying to manage three cities and plenty of productions at the foot of the mountain with cherished goal on the top. But I can guarantee that you will get a "magnifique" experience playing this workshop gem. Congratulations @Gemanera! 10€ steam gift card goes to France this week!

Hope you enjoy our Choo-Choo digest because it is entirely powered by your creativity! And we are waiting for your new great maps because we have a plenty of prizes for you here! Jump in! :tvvagon::tv2car::tvloco:

Hello Engineers! Hope you are still alive after the Black Friday. So probably you have got a lot of cool stuff but there is still a sense that something is missing? We have a time proven cure for your soul. Exactly! Trains! :tv2car::tvvagon::tvloco: Especially with some great new levels from workshop. Interesting? Let's check them out?

First level for today is "Ravines" by @angryxpeh
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1569504251 Productions of the valley divided by X-type ravines. Nice work with multilevel landscape, quite a tight balance and nice choice of additional tasks. It makes "Ravines" one of our favourite this week! Featured! Keep up great work @angryxpeh!

The next level called "All in one Day" by well known workshop author @The Good, The Bad and The Dudley https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1573108871 Different landscape heights, variety of productions and plenty of resources to deliver is a branded underline of the author. Make yourself some tea before launching it. Power plant for 1.500.000? It will definitely require some time! Map gets second place and featuring. Good job!

And the winner of the week is one more famous author - @h2onik with the map called "Sands".
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1574423012 Map based on two high bridges, lack of money and locomotives of the first generation? Can it be fun? It definitely do! Try it yourself! Essence of fun in 20 minutes. @h2onik gets first place this week and 10$ gift card! Congratulations!

Do you want the ultimate challenge? Try to beat the time of @Craig. He is Stig of our workshop: passionate speed-runner perfectionist sharing his time in comments. You think you good? Try to beat @Craig!

So we still have some time before the end of the month. The intrigue is heating up. Who will get the cover and monthly prize? Will know pretty soon!

Hello Engineers, hope your week started great because we have a lot of cool new workshop maps to tell you about in our new Choo-Choo Weekly digest! ! Let's go!

Winter is coming! So this Monday you are probably thinking about escaping to paradise islands. If so @Gemanera prepared a perfect cocktail for you! Meet "Busy Islands" - a beautiful map with a lot of work to do.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1565425904
5 islands forming a cross, 4 cities among them and a lot of resources required all over the archipelago. An interesting level with a fair amount of micromanagement. Good job @Gemanera!

Can humanity colonise other planets? Will it use trains there? Probably Elon Musk knows the answer. But @h2onik offer her own vision of this problem in "Viva Life on Mars" map:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1567322913
Absolutely adorable panorama of "Red Planet" with craters everywhere and products like uranium and rockets in your demand list. It is a quick map (15-20 mins), with a tricky landscape and really challenging balance! Try it out!

And the winner of this week is ... @The Good, The Bad and The Dudley with the "Metroland" map:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1567985584
This time it is a story about two cities Uplands and the Lowlands competing in their growth. But wise leader will try to keep balance thinking about the wealth of the whole country. This map is a a small puzzle masterpiece challenging your both brain hemispheres. Believe me, victory will be very satisfying!

Well I should say that this week brought as a difficult dilemma. From one hand we appreciate hard work and commitment of all the authors. From the other - Mr. Dudley with his great work this month just don't leave us any chance to support other authors. So we decided to arrange additional prizes. 10$ gift card goes to the winner of this week and two 5$ cards to @Gemanera and @h2onik for their great maps! Hope it will help to support your creativity and the motivation to beat the champion! Mr. Dudley should already feel persistent breathing down his neck. Final is very close. Extremely interesting situation!

Congratulations and thanks to all the authors! You are bringing all the workshop players tons of emotions with every map uploaded! Keep up great work!
See you next week! Stay tuned! :tvvagon::tv2car::tv2loco:

Greetings and welcome to the second issue of our newspaper! This week's issue features four levels and only two authors! Intriguing?

We would like to start with a map by @Gemanera called Red Dead Redemption "Viva Las Dollars." Here you will find more cactuses than in the bottle of good tequila. Salons, gold ingots and a lot of factories are included. Thanks to an increasingly fast pace, it's a great map for a quick game. You will not regret amigo! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1558149355
Also, we recommend you to play another map by the same author called "Little Island". A really neat place in the middle of the map quite soon becomes a red-hot frying pan! Would you manage to deliver all the resources and goods throw the bottle neck meeting the deadline? Good job @Gemanera! We are following you and already waiting for next maps! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1561357744
One more great map last week is "English Electric" by @The Good, The Bad And The Dudley. It features two banks of the river with a tons of resources to send from one side of the map to another using a tunnel. Only one power station for two banks makes it even more tricky! Try it out! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1558196986
And the winner of this week is... for the second time in a row, @The Good, The Bad And The Dudley, with the "Tesla Girls" map! Last minute entry and real gem of the week it has everything you like in good maps: variety of factories, hidden paths for tracks and great balance with attention to details. You will need to spend your time and money wisely if you want to get 5 stars here. And don't forget: do not remove tracks! Glittering prise: 10$ steam gift card. Congratulations sir! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1562471342
Will workshop masters manage to beat the champion during the nearest weeks? Or mr. @Dudley will be the person on the cover of Train Valley Times November? Anyway it's going to be an incredible journey for all of us! All aboard! Choo-choo!
