Some play Hunt for the old-school Western gun fights. Some play it for the breathtaking immersion of industry-leading atmosphere and sound. And some play it just so they can lob a well-timed sledgehammer through the air to demolish an enemy Hunter who never saw it coming.🔨

As mentioned in our recent Developer Update post, we have implemented a change within EAC that prevents any user attempting to play Hunt: Showdown while ReShade is active on their system.
This change was made because the most recent updates to ReShade include features granting significant gameplay advantage and as such, the use of ReShade is now considered an exploit under the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
As mentioned in the previous post, if you receive the following error codes (Unsupported Graphics Card detected + CrySystem Initialization Failed) the only option is to uninstall ReShade from Hunt folder, close the application completely, and restart Hunt. Reactivating it at any point while Hunt is running will not be possible. If players have an older version of ReShade, they will have to manually delete the dxgi/dxgi.dll files, whereas the newer version(s) will have an uninstall option.
Please be aware that while you will only be prevented from launching the game with active ReShade for now, any attempts to circumvent this may result in further penalties, including temporary or permanent bans on your account.
Please reach out to our support team for any issues with uninstalling ReShade, issues with gameplay after uninstalling, or any other troubleshooting relating to the topic.
