Servers will be going down for a little bit at 11:30 (in about 20 minutes) to change the missions and we will be changing the early match making levels from bloodline level 1 to 20.
With this patch we are introducing our first improvement to the loading times in-game. This change will allow the client to connect to the server before the loading of the map has completed. This will result in loading into the game faster than usual.
Developer note: This is the first step of many to address the long loading times that have been experienced. We will continue to apply further improvements with upcoming releases.
Loadout simplification
We have made some changes to simplify the Hunter loadout to make it easier to equip items for the hunt. A pop-up will now allow quick access to your available arsenal while reducing the amount of clicks needed to set up your hunter. Upgrading traits and health has also been made easier by combining these two pages into one screen.
Matchmaking improvements
We are happy to introduce our first step in developing an improved matchmaking system. With this improvement we hope to help new players to familiarize themselves with Hunt: Showdown and in general make the on boarding process much less punishing. New players will play against others of a similar Bloodline rank before getting the chance to compete with higher ranked players.
Developer note: Here is what you need to know about our improved matchmaking system:
Matchmaking is split into 2 groups: Group 1 is made up of Bloodline rank 1-33, Group 2 Bloodline rank 34-100 (including prestige)
The highest ranked player in a group determines the group you are matched with
In instances where the 34-100+ group do not have enough players to fill the match, it will pull from the highest ranked players of group 1 (ranks 1-33) in order to fill a match by the end of the maximum matchmaking time.
Mission availability per region
With this update we have added the ability to configure the missions that are available per region. In regions with lower player numbers, we will have less missions available to select (this will change once the numbers in these areas increase). We are currently working on the ability to change missions without the requirement of a server restart which will allow us to provide you with more frequent missions changes with less downtime, more details to come!
General updates
Audio
Reduced the volume of the Generators and Banishing allowing for better audibility of footsteps around these areas
Fixed ricochet attenuation which was too long. This gave the impression that you were shot at although the sound occurred further in the distance
Developer note: We have also incorporated feedback regarding Enemy player footsteps and they way they are heard in certain situations. We have slightly increased the volume of the footsteps while walking & running which includes a pass on the consistency of surface types. Together with the cloth movement volume now being normalized and the generator/banishing volume changes mentioned above, we hope to make it easier to acoustically spot moving players.
Bullet fly-bys
We have listened to a lot of feedback in regards to the realism and sounds of the weapons in Hunt. We have improved the existing bullet fly-bys based on the ammunition type including the compact ammo (e.g Silenced Nagant).
Faster rounds, such as those used in the rifles, now make the ‘pop’ noise of a supersonic crack while slower ammunition, like that used in the pistols, have a more defined ‘whizz’ sound. With this change we hope to increase the acoustic feedback so that not only can you tell that you are under fire, but now you should be able to tell from what kind of weapon it came from.

Separated Scope sensitivities
We have added separate mouse sensitivity options in relation to aiming. Rather than using the same sensitivity settings for everything, we have added the ability to change this in the settings menu. Now you will have several options:

Fixed a bug that would cause the holster sound of the spyglass to be heard everywhere on the map
Fixed a bug that would result in the hunter vocalizations not correctly triggering when standing in fire or poisoned
Fixed an issue that was causing a distortion effect when looking through nearby vegetation with scopes
Fixed a bug that would result in the Meathead getting stuck next to a clue when spawning as a clue defender
Fixed a number of layout issues in two of the Butcher’s lairs
Fixed a number of bugs throughout the map (collision issues, geometry alignment, etc.)

Known issues
As mentioned in previous patch/hotfix notes we have been actively investigating an issue that has resulted in freezing/stalling to occur for some of you. This has been one of our top priorities but at this time we do not have an update to provide. We will update everyone on our progress once we have more information. Thank you for your continued patience while we investigate this matter.
The maximum estimated waiting time may be displayed incorrectly for those added to a group through a Steam invite (this mostly only affects 1 person per group)
We are currently aware of an issue that is affecting connections to the US East servers. We are investigating this matter with our server providers and will update you when we know more.
For now, please connect to a different region (such as US west) if you wish to have a game.
With this hotfix, we are introducing a tentative fix for the 0x107d1 error messages that occur after the service has been running for an extended period of time. The root cause of this was that the client would keep the session ID in memory for later usage (e.g to set the contract selected by the host of the session created through a steam invite); however, the session ID was using the wrong format which was effectively shortening the value attached. When the session ID was above 65,535, these sessions were not correctly stored in the client which then resulted in a mismatch causing the 0x107d1 error.
We will be monitoring this over the next few days to see if it has effectively resolved the problem.
We want to give a big thanks to our moderators and other community members that were alerting us to these issues to us in the last weeks. Your quick reactions to this helped a lot with our investigations to identify the cause of this issue.

We will be taking the servers offline for maintenance today at 14:15 CEST. During this time, we will be updating the current set of missions as well as deploying a hotfix that contains a tentative fix for the 0x107d1 errors that have been experienced.

You’ve been asking for more languages in Hunt, and in answer to those requests, today we are delivering five more via a localization patch. You can now play Hunt in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Polish.
If you already own a copy of Hunt, the new language options will be available to you once the localization patch has uploaded on Steam. Once you have the language update patch, you will be able to select from all available languages. If Steam does not do this automatically, you will need to do the following:
Go to Hunt: Showdown in your Steam library
Right click on the game, and select Properties
Select Language tab
Select a language in the drop down menu, and close.
Localization is for text only.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that would result in the Butchers health not visually updating in the HUD
Fixed a bug that was causing the Statistics page to not correctly reflect the kills from the "Last Match". This will now correctly update the Kill/Death Statistics after each match
