It’s update day and what an update it is!

First off we have Motorhead Pack - the fastest, slickets, most long-hair-don’t-care DLC to date. Named as an homage to car, motorcycle and truck enthusiasts around the world.

Our little game sure has come a long way since the template car from Stranded. The diversity in building has increased exponentially - and with Motorhead Pack they are about to look cooler than ever.



Hoods, spoilers, pop-up lights, wheel wells, livery decals, and so much more in this all-in-one racing pack that is guaranteed to elevate your game to previously unheard of levels!

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE

The free 1.9 “Pedal to the Medal” update is of course also available now and it brings heaps of new opportunities in terms of both logic and design. Windshields, brackets, and a bunch of new rounded wedge corners are sure to help you shape the vehicles just the way you want. To top it off we got no less than 7 (!) new logic blocks for you to nerd-out with including the highly praised Accumulator Block that’s gonna save you a ton of complexity.

  • New Formula Style Flat Track added to Race Island.
  • Impact Damage Changes.
  • Power Core using blocks now explode upon death, dealing 5% of block health to surrounding blocks.
  • Passenger Seat toggle which removes all input from a seat.

Hello Trailmaker!

New dev diary about 1.9 Update: Pedal to the Metal. Check the 2 new features included in our next update:

Passenger seat controls

We are adding a toggle to Trailmakers to turn any seat into a passenger seat. It will remove all controls on that seat and even remove the steering wheel for extra immersion.



Auto-braking

Vehicles now auto-brake to let you park on slopes. It also makes it easier to align your cars when setting up a race or a picture!

Throughout May and June you raced four new tracks on Race Island. And we are far from done with racing! We are launching (pun intended) new space races in the Space Sector map for a limited time only - with interstellar new decals to unlock.

Land and take off - without Quantum Rudders!

For each race you fly through checkpoints, land in a specific area and take off again. All without Quantum Rudders!

The Devs had a hard time with this (especially with the ScrapMoon on the last race) but we are absolutely ready to be humbled by the engineering of the community as usual and learn, yet again, that even though we made the game we are far from the best at it.

Can’t wait to see you all crack the leaderboards!

In the first episode of the 1.9 Dev Diary, Rune Holm and Johannes Kjems (mostly Rune) talked about the new and revised Impact Damage system in Trailmakers that will bring more consistent impact damage to Trailmakers and prevent vehicles from randomly being smited into atoms.

The final race is now unlocked. Head on over to Race Island and complete the 2-lap Surfside Sprint to unlock the final decal of the Trailmakers Racing Festival!

Imagine a loud eagle screech from above.
You know exactly the sound right?

However, the sound you are imagining actually stems from a red-tailed hawk. It’s just used to dub over eagles as the majestic freedom-bird in reality sounds more like a seagull. It’s true. Go look it up.

But first, let’s take a look at the new weekly track on Race Island:
Eagle Run (Screeeeeeeeech!)



and what a fitting name because this time we are racing airplanes! … or blimps, or rockets, or jumping boats. We’ve learned after 7 years of working on this game that we can’t really dictate how the players handle a task. But that’s the beauty of Trailmakers.
