The Elder Scrolls® Online - ZOS_Jessica_Folsom
Your chance to get the Morrowind Chapter free with your pre-purchase of the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset Chapter is ending soon. Already own Morrowind? You're in for a treat! To thank all of our current Morrowind players, we're giving out a free Vvardvark pet and temporarily bringing back Dwarven Crown Crates. Check out this article to learn more about our Morrowind Last Chance event.

Free (Adorable) Vvardvark Pet
During the event period, by simply logging into the game while owning a copy of ESO: Morrowind, you'll receive a free Dozen-Banded Vvardvark. Vvardvarks might be the ill-advised result of Telvanni experiments, but they sure do make adorable pets!

To ensure you receive your free pet, you must log into the game while owning ESO: Morrowind at any point from now until Monday, May 21 at 2:59AM EDT (Sunday May 20 at 11:59PM PDT). If you logged in during the event period, you'll receive this spiny-tonged little monster by May 29!

Don't forget, if you don't already own ESO: Morrowind, you can acquire it for free when you pre-purchase a digital copy of ESO: Summerset. Even better, upon pre-purchase, you can begin playing ESO and ESO: Morrowind right away. No need to wait until ESO: Summerset launches on June 5!

Dwarven Crown Crates Return
If you missed your chance to get some of the wonders found within the Dwarven Crown Crates, you'll have another opportunity to pick them up from the Crown Store between Monday, May 14 at 10:00 AM EDT and Monday, May 21 at 10:00 AM EDT.

These crates include some truly unique items, including these marvelous mechanical mounts:

Dwarven Senche & Dwarven Wolf mounts

You can read more about the Dwarven Crown Crates in our preview article. During this time, Dwarven Crown Crate items will also be available for individual purchase with Crown Gems, allowing you to pick up any of the items you may have missed last year (Radiant Apex rewards not included). You'll be able to find these items under their respective categories within the Crown Crates section of the Crown Store.

Last Chance Crown Store Items
Finally, this is also your last chance to grab some Vvardenfell-themed Crown Store items. The following items will be no longer be available in the in-game Crown Store as of Monday, May 21 at 10:00 AM EDT.

Telvanni Wizard-Lord Robe costume, Bitter Coast Cliff Strider pet & Amber Ash Hopper pet

Vardenfell Awaits
Changes are coming to The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, but you can still grab it free right now with a digital ESO: Summerset pre-purchase. Will you take your first steps in Vvardenfell during this last-chance event? Or have you already explored the home of the Dark Elves and want an adorable new pet? Either way, we expect the Vvardvark population to explode! Show us screenshots of your characters with this adorable new pet on Twitter @TESOnline and Facebook using the #Morrowind hashtag!

The Elder Scrolls® Online

Earlier in March, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls Online's new upcoming expansion is set on the mysterious Summerset Isle.

It's an interesting choice of setting for a number of reasons. For one, the island, which is situated in the southwest corner of Tamriel, is the the home of the magic-loving High Elves. As such, it's idyllic, a green land made up of farmlands, woodland parks and ancient towers and manors.

"It was the chance to turn the dial a little bit," Rich Lambert, creative director at ZeniMax Online Studios, tells Eurogamer when asked why the developers chose the location.

The Elder Scrolls Online turns four! Join us in celebration of this amazing milestone by taking part in our in-game event and enjoying XP buffs, unique rewards, and cake!

Ache for Cake!
Are you ready to celebrate another year of The Elder Scrolls Online? Let's party! Here's everything you need to know to join in the festivities during our in-game anniversary event:
  • The anniversary event begins on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:00AM EDT and runs until Monday, April 16 at 10:00AM EDT.
    • To join the event, visit the famous Chef Donolon in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, or Davon's Watch and complete his Anniversary quest “Ache for Cake." You can get directions to Chef Donolon's location by obtaining a Jubilee Cake Voucher free of charge from the in-game Crown Store.
  • When you complete “Ache for Cake" you'll receive the brand-new, three-tiered Anniversary Jubilee Cake. It'll be added to your Mementos within your Collectibles UI.
  • Activate the cake to place it in front of your character, then use it to enjoy a tasty slice and receive a two-hour 100% XP buff that stacks with any other active XP bonuses that your character might currently be enjoying (such as those from scrolls or ESO Plus membership).
More Rewards
It's ESO's anniversary, but during this event, everybody gets presents! Throughout the event, any daily or weekly quest you complete will earn you an Anniversary Gift Box (in addition to their regular rewards). These reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.) Note: Gift Boxes cannot be earned by completing infinitely repeatable quests.

Rarer rewards include hard-to-get motif pages previously only available in Vvardenfell, the  Horns of the Reach dungeons, and the Clockwork City. Even rarer, you could receive a motif page for the brand-new Worm Cult style, a look that can only be found in the Anniversary Gift Boxes!

Get Your Dailies
To help you identify what daily and weekly quests are available to you, we have also added the “Adventurer's Almanac, 2nd Edition" to the game. Upon reading it, if you have completed the Mages Guild quest line, the new book will be added to your Eidetic Memory and be accessible from your Journal at any time. You can find the book somewhere near Chef Donolon in each capital city.

The book contains everything you need to know about the available weekly and daily quests, including their location, activity type, requirements, and recommended level of experience to complete. There's always adventure to be had in Tamriel, and now, you'll always be able to find it!

ESO Turns Four!
In these four years, we've been proud to hit some big-time milestones, including 10 million players last year. That said, the ESO community has hit some pretty amazing milestones of their own. Check out these incredible in-game statistics from PC/Mac launch until today:
  • Total number of monsters killed: 15,881,472,493

  • Total number of items crafted: 7,415,834,454

Revel in a prank-filled celebration of the absurd and the foolish during the Jester's Festival event. Check out this article for everything you need to know in order to participate in the peculiar and preposterous fun!

Jester's Festival Frivolities
The Jester's Festival begins on Thursday, March 29 at 10:00AM EDT and will run until Monday, April 2 at 10:00AM EDT. If you want to take part in the silly season, make your way to the pavilions located outside the cities of Ebonheart, Vulkhel Guard, and Daggerfall.

When you arrive, strike up a conversation with one of the three Jesters dressed as either Jorunn the Skald-King, Queen Ayrenn, or High King Emeric (don't worry, they're not the real thing). Complete the intro quest titled “The Jester's Festival" to acquire the powerful not-a-Daedric artifact known as the Pie of Misrule. Note that if you completed the quest last year, you won't need to do so again. When you activate this delicious memento during the event, you'll receive a two-hour 100% XP buff. Once the event ends, you keep the pie, but it loses its XP “buffinating" properties. Sorry!

But don't worry, that's not all! Each day, you can talk to one of the Jesters to receive a unique daily task. Upon completion, you'll receive the Jester's Fesitval Box. This prodigiously prestigious package can contain the following weird and wonderful items:
  • A host of fun consumables
  • Unique Jester's Festival mementos:
    • Cherry Blossom Branch
    • New Scintillator Memento
  • Jester's Festival Housing items:
    • Jester's Standard
    • New Jester's Coffer that pops confetti!
    • New Recipe for Jester's Pavilion furnishing, allowing you build your own pavilion tent!

In addition to the above, there's a selection of Jester's Festival Achievements that you can earn throughout the event period. These Achievements even have unique rewards, including the Crown of Misrule hat and the Royal Jester title!

Finally, during the event, you can also acquire Jester's Large (15,000 gold) and Small Trees (5,000 gold) from the Achievement Vendor, Heralda Garscroft, found in Alliance Capitals.

Absurd New Crown Store Items
To help you get in the spirit of the silly season, the in-game Crown Store will also feature some Jester's Festival-themed items, including:
  • Royal Court Jester costume (at 50% off!)
  • Jester's Festival Hat Pack
  • Masqued “Unicorn" Steed
  • Madcap Jester Monkey pet
  • The Jester personality
