In order to provide you with the best Black Desert adventure experience possible, we work hard to continually release quality-of-life updates. Today, we wanted to cover the major QoL updates we’ve released so far and preview a list of QoL updates that we are currently preparing.

And of course, we are always open to your feedback and suggestions for future updates.



This was a suggestion given to us by an Adventurer during the 2021 CalpheON Ball’s Q&A. As such, we plan on extending the existing period of 1 week to 2 weeks,

Adventurers have shared with us that the Inventory’s automatic sorting feature would cause them inconvenience by mixing up the order to weapons/armor and horse gear. We’re planning on introducing a feature to allow you to set different criteria for how items are sorted.


Adventurers have also asked us about making it possible to manually sort items in Storage. However, this is a feature that requires a complete rework to the Storage’s entire structure, which makes it incredibly difficult to implement.

Instead, we’ll work on improving features like the Storage’s search function to make the Storage a bit more accessible to use.


Due to the allocation of data resources, increasing the maximum cap of various features (Pearl Inventory, Inventory, Storage, Quests, etc.) in the game is in fact more difficult than developing new content.

As a result, it is rather difficult for us to increase the maximum number of slots in the Pearl Inventory. Nevertheless, we plan on developing a “dressing room” feature that will allow you to separate and store outfits, which usually take up a big chunk of the Pearl Inventory. But we hope you’ll understand that this feature will take quite a bit of time to develop as it is a large update.


We’ve heard from Adventurers that having to constantly scroll through the fixed lists for Cooking/Alchemy was rather inconvenient.

We’ll review this internally in the development team and look into possibly adding a feature like showing a list of favorites or making the most recently crafted ones show up first at the top of the list.


Many Adventurers have requested the option to turn off sound effects during Cooking and Alchemy, and we do plan on adding this feature.


We understand there are cases where your character’s active tag state may be inconvenient such as having to throw away all your caught fish when fishing or being unable to complete a quest that requires turning in a trade item.

For trading, we must consider the future expansion of content and possible elements of exploitation, so restrictions end up being inevitable. However, we will remove the restrictions for Imperial Crafting Delivery.

Black Desert has many unique classes, which from a new Adventurer’s perspective, might make it hard to find the class that matches their playstyle. Since Narchillan weapons are intended for novice Adventurers, we’ll add the ability to change the Narchillan weapon to match the class you want to swap to.

We’ve heard from Adventurers telling us that throwing away items one-by-one by dragging them into the trash can is a hassle. We’ll work on introducing a QoL improvement that allows you to select all the items you want to throw away at one time after pressing the Trash Can button.

We’re continuing our New Year’s celebrations with a new set of special login rewards! Log in every day to receive Advice of Valks, Caphras Stones, and 30 days of Artisan's Blessing!

Event Details
- Login Rewards can be viewed by going to the in-game [ESC] menu → [Login Reward]. The rewards are sent to your “Black Spirit’s Safe” once you log in.

Adventurers, the first Global Conquest War of 2022 is coming to the Europe servers!

If you are a guild that wants the glory of representing Europe, then prove your worth in the Calpheon Conquest War on January 29!


* The Conquest War that will select the guilds representing each region will be on each region’s live server. However, the Global Conquest War’s Rounds 1 – 3 will be on a separate event server.
* The guilds that participate in Round 1 will not participate in Round 2. (Representing guilds will decide which guilds participate in which rounds.)


During the Conquest War on January 29 (Sat), three guilds will be selected by the following criteria to represent Europe in the EU x RU Global Conquest War.


* If fewer than three guilds participate in the Calpheon territory’s Conquest War, additional guilds will be selected based on the results of the Valencia territory’s Conquest War results.

* Guild alliances may also participate, but only 100 members from the alliance will be eligible to join the upcoming Global Conquest War. As such, the alliance leader will be asked to send the list of the participating guild members before February 9. These 100 guild members will be placed into one guild in the event server, and the name of the guild will be the name of the guild alliance.

To ensure guilds all have a fair chance, the Calpheon territory’s status will be changed to “liberated” during the maintenance on January 26 (Wed). Please keep this in mind if you plan on participating in the Conquest War on January 22.

- When the Calpheon territory is liberated, the accumulated taxes of the Calpheon territory will be retained and all forts, command posts, and annexes constructed in the territory will be removed.

For the upcoming Global Conquest War, the character data of the representative guilds will be copied to an event server.

* The character data that will be copied during the maintenance on February 9 will be based on the gear that is currently equipped on the character and the mount that is currently taken out.
* Items in your inventory and storage will not be copied. Please note that we will not provide any further assistance if the incorrect items/mount are copied due to negligence.
* The character data of guild members who joined after the maintenance on February 9 will not be copied.
* Adventurers who participate in the Conquest War on January 29 (Sat) as War Heroes will not have their character data copied.

The guilds selected as representatives and more information about the Global Conquest War format will be announced in a future announcement.

With a new year comes a new set of login rewards!

The new year is upon us. The ddukgoog (a rice cake soup) is a must-eat dish every January 1st. It also has the meaning of getting a year older when we eat the ddukgoog. How about you? Do you eat a special dish to celebrate the new year?

As the Korea Black Desert service team slowly went through the memories of 2021, our most memorable moment is probably the “2021 CalpheON Ball.” Due to circumstances, we couldn’t meet in person, however, we were glad and found it truly meaningful to have that chance to meet and hear our Adventurers directly.

You are also probably planning to make new year’s resolutions for 2022. We from the Korea Black Desert service team would like to send you our energy so that you may achieve them (of course, this includes Enhancements!). We will continue to support and cheer for our Adventurers and strive to provide great service in the year 2022! Now, shall we start to make great memories in 2022, the year of the Tiger!?

Sawadee kap, Adventurers! We here in Thailand are bearing through warm temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius as we await the new year. On January 1st, we also take part in counting down the minutes of the previous year, and 4 years ago, today, we still remember the ordeals of preparing for the Thai server launch.

It is truly our joy and blessing to be able to welcome in the new year together with our Adventurers. 2021 went by so quickly thanks to you all! It was truly a thankful year we will never be sure to forget!
