If you register early, you can enjoy various rewards and AP, DP buffs applied immediately upon registration. The earlier you register, the more rewards you will receive!

Event 1. Early Bird Catches More Benefits

Period: January 27 (after maintenance)–February 24 (before maintenance)

Register for an account transfer from your Kakao Games account (Web & Steam) to a Pearl Abyss account via [Account Transfer Registration] to receive great rewards daily!

Once you finish your Account Transfer Registration within the event period, the following buff will be applied to your Family immediately. If you play on both NA and EU servers, you can have the buff applied to both.

AP +1 & DP +1

The buff will be applied until February 24 (before maintenance).

Special login rewards can be received until February 24 (before maintenance).
• Ex) If you complete the Account Transfer Registration process on February 24, you will receive only the Day 1 reward (Cron Stone x500).
• Complete the Account Transfer Registration process no later than February 11 and then login everyday to receive all 14 rewards.
Please restart the game client after completing the Account Transfer Registration process to receive your reward.
Event buffs and rewards will not be given to accounts that do not complete the Account Transfer Registration process within the event period.

Event 3. Move Your Guild and Get Guild Funds

Calling all Guild Masters, Deputy Captains, and guild members of Black Desert Online!

Your mission is to gather your guild members and safely transfer over to the Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online world.

Please make sure all your guild members are well informed and complete the Account Transfer Registration process successfully!

The more guild members that complete the Account Transfer Registration process within the event period, the more rewards your guild will receive!

All rewards are cumulative. Therefore, reaching Stage 5 will give your guild rewards for all stages.
Rewards will not be given if the Guild Master does not register for an account transfer, even if you have enough guild member participation.
Guild Funds will be sent to the Guild Warehouse and Summon Scrolls will be sent to the Guild Master’s in-game mail after the February 24 (Wed) maintenance.
This event is available once per guild.

Event 4. All-time Best Rewards After Transfer!

• If you have an account in both NA and EU servers, your purchase limit will reset in both.

Greetings Adventurers,

The Kakao Games Black Desert Online service ends on February 24, 2021, after that Black Desert Online in the European and North American regions will be serviced by Pearl Abyss. At that time, all rights and duties related to the continuation of the service and use of personal data will be transferred to Pearl Abyss. To retain access to your account and its progression, you have to transfer it to a new platform via this page.

You will still be able to access Black Desert Online via the Kakao Games launcher even after your account transfer request is complete, until February 24th 2021.

Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.

Data transfer will be protected by the standard data protection clauses agreed between Kakao Games Europe and Pearl Abyss. GDPR Article 46. 2.(c)

[How to Make an Account Transfer Registration]

Step 1. Login to your accounts

Login to your Kakao Games Black Desert Online account and Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online Account.

If you do not have a Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online account, please create one at the Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online website.
Multiple Kakao Games Black Desert Online accounts cannot be transferred to a single Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online account. You will need a destination account for each current account that you wish to transfer.

Step 2. Agree to the Account Transfer Agreement

Read and agree to the Account Transfer Agreement.
If you do not agree to the terms, data transfer will not be available.

Step 3. Check your account

Ensure the current information of the account you wish to transfer is correct. Is it not? Make sure to connect to the correct Kakao Games account in Step 1.

Step 4. Verification

Verify your Account Transfer Registration by entering the code sent to the email address you registered your Kakao Games account with.

Step 5. Account Transfer Registration complete

You can continue to play the game normally until the February 24 maintenance. All progress you make between your Account Transfer Registration and the termination of service will be transferred.
Prior to the February 24th maintenance, you can cancel your Account Transfer Registration by contacting Kakao Games. After the February 24th maintenance, you can cancel it by contacting Pearl Abyss.

*What if I don’t submit an Account Transfer Registration before February 24?

You can register for an account transfer until May 31, 2021, even after the transfer of service is complete. Please note that the Account Transfer Registration page will not be available during the February 24 maintenance.
After May 31, 2021, registration for an account transfer will no longer be available and all untransferred data will be deleted.

Black Desert Online Data* Transfer Process Details

If you register for an account transfer, all of your game data will be transferred to Pearl Abyss. After the transfer is complete, you can continue to play via the Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online official website.
However, the Kakao Games Black Desert Online website membership and payment data will not be transferred over to Pearl Abyss.
After May 31, 2021, Kakao Games’ Black Desert Online website membership data, game data, and forum data will be permanently deleted. However, payment information will be stored for 7 years under the Netherlands law for tax and accounting purposes.
Users who agreed to the Terms of Use (effective December 22, 2020) will be able to use future Kakao Games services.

Q. What is happening?

On February the 24th, 2021, Kakao Games will hand over the publishing responsibilities for Black Desert Online NA and EU service to its developer, Pearl Abyss.

Q. What does this mean?

The Kakao Games Black Desert Online service contract ends on February 24, 2021. Kakao Games will no longer be responsible for or involved with the live operation of Black Desert Online. This will be solely managed by Pearl Abyss.

Q. What will change?

Any platform run by Kakao Games such as the current website, official forums and social media channels will be closed down or repurposed along with the current player support process. Game service, localisation, customer support and all other publishing responsibilities will be handled directly by Pearl Abyss.

Q. How long will the transition maintenance be?

The service transition maintenance will begin on February 24 (09:00 UTC) and is expected to take more than 24 hours to complete. Therefore, the Pearl Abyss Black Desert Online service will be available from February 25. For a more detailed time schedule, please visit Pearl Abyss' website

Q. When can I register for an account transfer?

It will be possible to register for an account transfer from January 27 until May 31.
If you do not register for an account transfer within the given period, you will not be able to continue playing Black Desert Online with your existing account and all your game data will be deleted.
Please make sure to complete the transfer process by May 31, 2021 to continue playing Black Desert Online with your existing account.

Q. Which accounts can be transferred? Are there any limits?
Any eligible Kakao Games and Steam Black Desert Online account registered in the EU/NA region can be transferred.
Certain exceptions will apply

To be eligible an account must have a registered Family name. If no Family name is created, please login to the game and create a Family name prior to registering for an account transfer.
Accounts that have been permanently banned for any violation of the Kakao Games Terms of Use will not be eligible to register for an account transfer.

Q. Will I still be able to purchase Black Desert Online game packages , Kakao Cash and in-game Pearl Boxes?

You can purchase Black Desert Online game packages, Kakao Cash and in-game Pearl Boxes until February 10, 2021. After this time, the possibility to purchase Black Desert Online game packages, Kakao Cash and in-game Pearl Boxes will be restricted.
Black Desert Online game packages and Kakao Cash sale end on February 10 (09:00 UTC).
Pearl Box sale ends on February 10 (13:00 UTC).

Q. Will I be able to use the Pearl Shop?

The in-game Pearl Shop can be used normally until the transfer of service (excluding Pearl Box purchases).

Q. Can I get refunds for the game and/or Kakao Cash?

Your right of withdrawal is unaffected by the transfer of service and all refund policies remain the same. For Steam users, the regular Steam refund policies apply.

Q. What happens to any remaining Kakao Cash?

Any Kakao Cash remaining on the account at the beginning of the maintenance on February 24, 2021, will not be transferred to Pearl Abyss. Please spend all remaining Kakao Cash before February 10, which is when Pearl Boxes will no longer be sold.

Q. What happens to unused web coupons?

Unused web coupons will not be transferred to Pearl Abyss. Please use any remaining coupon before the end of Kakao Games’ Black Desert Online service. Any unused coupons will be automatically sent via in-game mail to the region (EU/NA) with the highest accumulated play time. If no Family exists, unused coupons will be deleted.

Q. What happens to Gift Packages?

The sale of Gift Packages will end on February 3, 2021 during maintenance (09:00 UTC).
The Gift Package system will not be transferred to Pearl Abyss. Please claim any remaining Gift Package rewards you may have before the end of Kakao Games’ Black Desert Online service. Any unclaimed rewards cannot be redeemed later.
Any unredeemed Gift Package codes will not be transferred to Pearl Abyss. If you have purchased a Gift Package but have yet to send the code to your friend, please make sure to have it redeemed before the end of Kakao Games’ Black Desert Online service, otherwise it will be lost.

Q. What happens to pre-order name reservations?

Family and Character names reserved as part of the pre-order package benefits will be released and no longer be tied to the accounts they were reserved on.
If a previously reserved Family or Character name is not transferred to Pearl Abyss’ Black Desert Online service, it will be available for use by anyone.

Q. What happens to forum posts?

Forum data will not be transferred.
Please save any posts or images from the forum before February 24 if you wish to store them.
The Kakao Games serviced Black Desert Online forum will be shut down on February 24.

Q. I’ve completed my Account Transfer Registration. Can I still continue to play? Will all of my progress be transferred on February 24?

All Account Transfer Registrations received prior to February 24 will only be processed once the Kakao Games’ Black Desert Online service ends on February 24 (09:00 UTC). After the service transfer is complete, you will be able to continue your progress on Pearl Abyss’ service from the same state you left it on the Kakao Games service.
Any Account Transfer Registrations submitted after the service transfer will be processed immediately.

Q. Can I transfer my Steam account to a web-based account?

Transferring from Steam to a web-based account is not possible. Accounts created on the Steam platform shall continue to play via Steam only.

Q. What happens if I don’t agree to the transfer of data?

If you do not register for an account transfer within the given period, you will not be able to play Black Desert Online with your existing account and all of your game data will be deleted.
Please make sure to complete the transfer process by May 31, 2021 to continue playing Black Desert Online on your existing account.

Q. Will guild data be transferred as well?

Guild data will be transferred only once on February 24, if at least one member of the guild registers for an account transfer. If no member of the guild registers for an account transfer prior to February 24, the guild data will be deleted.
If the Guild Master of the guild did not register for an account transfer and the guild is transferred, the ‘Accept Appointment to Guild Master’ button will be activated and available for any guild member. The first guild member to press the button will be able to take the position of Guild Master.
All guild members, including the Guild Master, who do not register for an account transfer prior to February 24, 2021, 09:00 UTC will be removed from the guild.

Q. What happens to guild node data?

All guild node and territory data will be reset upon the transfer of service.

Q. Who do I contact if I have issues with the account transfer?

If your issue relates to the process of the data transfer then you should contact Kakao Games. If the process has been completed but you encounter further issues, then you should contact Pearl Abyss. We will continue to work alongside Pearl Abyss to ensure a smooth transition for a certain period after the migration.

Q. When will my data be deleted if I don’t submit an Account Transfer Registration?

All stored game data for accounts that did not agree to transfer or did not register for an account transfer by May 31, 2021, will be permanently deleted on June 1, 2021.

Q. What will be unavailable after the transfer of service?

The below Kakao Games-based services will no longer be available after the transfer of service on February 24.

Q. WIll my account continue to be linked to Twitch after the service transition?

Old Moon Grand Prix Opening

When morning dawns, the chickens at Bartali Farm begin to escape.
- Added the new repeat quest "[Repeat] Runaway Chicken in the Bartali Farm."
- You can accept and complete this quest from Emma Bartali at Bartali Farm every 4 hours.
- When morning dawns in the world of Black Desert, 10 chickens will fly the chicken coop at Bartali Farm.
- Runaway Chickens are easily scared, and will flee if you get too close.
- You must approach them while crouching, and wait until they lay an egg and flee.
- You can interact with the egg to obtain one, which has a chance to turn into a Golden Egg as well. You can exchange these eggs with Emma Bartali for Egg items.

Once a chicken has laid an egg twice, it will no longer have the energy to flee. Capture it then, and take it to Emma Bartali to complete the quest.

※ You cannot catch additional chickens if you already have a Captured Chicken in your inventory.
※ The chickens will disappear if you do not catch them within 5 minutes of their escape.

Added the quest to graduate from the Winter Season. You can accept and proceed with the quest as follows.
- Accept the quest "[Season Server Graduation] At the Crossroad" from Leyla in Velia.
- Accept and complete the above quest, then accept the quest "[Season Server Graduation] Into the Big Wide World" from Fughar.
- Use the "Honorable Adventurer's Certificate" obtained from the above quest to complete the quest and graduate from the season server.

Set the basic AP of all class summons to match the summoning class's AP.
- The summoning class's AP must be at least the same as the basic AP of the summoned minion in order to control and wield the summoned minion at 100%.
- For example, Gorr's basic AP is 100. If the summoning Witch's AP is at 50, then Gorr's AP will be limited to 50 as well, and only return to 100 when the Witch's AP also hits 100 or higher.

Improved the standby animation to display the appropriate motion based on the equipped top outfit.

[Quest]

Added a new quest to increase the weight of your Family Inventory by 50LT. Adventurers who've completed "[Shakatu's Gift] Bag of the Stars" can accept either "[Dellus' Gift] Shakatu's Message" from Dellus or "[Raomi's Gift] Shakatu's Message" from Raomi nearby, then complete the quest to receive the reward.
- You can only complete each quest once per family.
- You can choose to proceed with either Dellus' Gift or Raomi's Gift.
- While both quests share the same quest objectives and reward, you will obtain a different title upon completion.
[The Great Expedition] Oquilla's Eye quest now requires you to be level 50 or higher and will appear in the Suggested quest tab when talking to the Black Spirit while in Balenos.
Fixed the graphical issue with the name of Richie, the jester hailing from Heidel whom you meet during the Velia Main Quest on top of the ossuary, overlapping with his prison cell.
Added 1 Bronze Key to the reward for completing [Boss] Giath, the Goblin Chief.
Fixed Alustin to no longer offer the Adventure and Knowledge Research dialog option while proceeding with the Main Quest.
Fixed Curse of the Ossuary's navigate function to now lead you to Houtman.

Fixed the images of knowledge gained from interacting with the monuments behind Edan in the Ancient Stone Chamber to now be displayed correctly.

[Mystic] Lupine Outfit – Fixed the issue where equipping the vambrace after having donned the outfit would remove any dyes set to the outfit's cape.
[Dark Knight] Eclipse Outfit – Fixed the graphical issue where upon sitting after having donned the outfit, her undergarments would be exposed outside the outfit.
Fixed the issue where Agris Fever points were consumed incorrectly when defeating summoned monsters while in a party.
[Female Classes] Fixed the issue with the Lahr Arcien Eyepatch not appearing on certain classes when equipped together with the Desert Camouflage outfit.
[Maehwa] Marine Romance Outfit – Fixed the irregular animations when idle with the outfit equipped.
[Maehwa] Bloody Outfit – Fixed the issue with the weapon being placed in an awkward location with the outfit equipped.

We are aware of the issue where the discounted price shows as 3,509 instead of 3,510 Pearls when the total pearl price of items is 5,400 Pearls with a 35% discount rate on the Set Creator UI in the Pearl Shop (F3).

Added Blackstar Awakening Weapon crafting quests.
- The Blackstar Awakening Weapon crafting quests do not involve excavating Star's End with the archaeologist Martha Kiyen as the existing Blackstar gear quests do, but rather follow a different storyline of another faction seeking to uncover the secrets behind Star's End.
- You can complete the Blackstar Awakening Weapon crafting quest series once per character.
- To start the Blackstar Awakening Weapon quests, you will need the "Remnants of the Rift," which can be obtained at a low chance at Dark Rift, and "The Three Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah" knowledge. In addition, to craft the Blackstar Awakening Weapon, you will require "Specter's Energy," a special ingredient which can be obtained at a low chance all over the world of Black Desert and at a higher chance from Thornwood Forest Monster Zone.
- To learn "The Three Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah'' knowledge, you will require a Lv. 56 or higher character who has already completed the revamped Mediah Main Quest series, then accept and complete the "The Three Blacksmiths'' quest from Tulem. Adventurers who've previously completed the quest can interact with Tulem to gain the knowledge.
- During this quest, veteran adventurers can choose to face a mighty boss immediately, while normal adventurers can opt for a weakened version of the boss to complete the quest.
- Changed the Blackstar gear's final quest from Dorin Morgrim to no longer be carried out in tandem with this quest series.
Added Blackstar Gloves as a new defense gear.

Added the Blackstar Armor 3-Set Effect "Debuff Resistance Against Monsters +10%."
- Debuff Resistance Against Monsters and normal Resistance are applied separately.
Added Blackstar Gloves crafting quests.
- You can complete the Blackstar Gloves crafting quest series once per character.

Old Moon Grand Prix
- Added the race course "Calpheon: Anti-Troll Fortification," exclusive to the Old Moon Grand Prix.
  - The new race course crosses through Calpheon to the Anti-Troll Fortification, then returns to the capital city.
  - At the bridge cutting through Calpheon, you will need to dodge elephants on either side of the bridge. Racing through the Anti-Troll Fortification, you will need to steer your horse away from the stones thrown by trolls onto the race track. All of these obstacles will make this new race course truly an exciting one.

Winter Season
- Added the following items to drop from defeating monsters of the Kuit Islands and Padix Island.
  - Time-filled Black Stone
  - Tuvala Ore
  - Refined Magical Black Stone
  - [Season] Rift Frostflower
  - Rift's Fragment
- Changed the method for exchanging Tuvala Ore for Tuvala weapons from blacksmiths in Velia and other capital cities as follows.

Removed the AP/DP restrictions for entering the season-only Red Battlefield.

NOVA

Royal Fencing: Remise, Swooping Ring, Star's Call – You can now use Black Spirit's Rage for the skills.
- Click either LMB or RMB in addition to the skill input to use Black Spirit's Rage at 10%, 25%, and 50%.
- The Black Spirit's Rage iterations of the skills add special effects such as extra hits and increased attack range.
Added Nova to the list of available Trial Characters.
- You will be able to create Nova as a Trial Character from Friday, January 22, 1 month since Nova's release.
Succession
- Fixed the issue where Axian's summon duration would last for 30 minutes.
- Succession: Quoratum's Opening – Fixed the issue where the skill would still be activated even after being locked.
- Quoratum's Protection – Fixed the issue where the skill's All DP increase effect wouldn't apply after having learned Prime: Passed Pawn II,III.
- Prime: Passed Pawn II,III – Fixed the issue where Axian wouldn't apply the HP & SP Recovery effects when using Succession skills after having learned these skills.
- Quoratum's Protection – Fixed the issue where Nova's guards would not disappear when casting the skill after certain skills.
- Prime: Passed Pawn – Fixed the issue where using a different level of the skill with Axian already summoned wouldn't reduce Nova's HP.
Awakening
- Command: Frozen Darkness I–V, Absolute: Command: Frozen Darkness – Fixed the issue where the skill could be set to the Quick Slot in Awakening even though the skill description stated otherwise.
- Awakening: Rising Star – Fixed the issue where using the skill from the Quick Slot would cause Nova to appear unnatural.
- You can now use the following skills through the Quick Slot.
  - Slicing Ring
  - Royal Fencing: Riposte
- Royal Fencing: Remise, Royal Fencing: Fleche – Improved the skills to combo more naturally after their 1st hit.
- Accel: Royal Fencing: Remise, Accel: Royal Fencing: Fleche – Changed the skills to now be activated in the direction the camera is facing while using them.
- Frozen Ring I–IV – Changed the skills to now combo into Break Orbit while using them.

Improved certain descriptions of the Mystical Fish to appear more natural.
Made the Karlstein Classic Box to be openable by all classes except for Shais.
Improved the [Event] Karlstein Classic Box (15 Days) item so Guardians and Hashashins can now open it.
- Shais will obtain the [Shai] Whimsical Alchemist Classic Set (15 Days) from opening the item.
Added Guardians, Hashashins, and Novas to classes who can open the Karlstein Classic Box.
Added text to Marine Romance Outfit Box's item description stating that Hashashin and Novas cannot open the box.
Added Guardian and Hashashin to classes who can open the Karlstein Classic Box crafted from the Old Moon Costume Mill.
Fixed the issue with the Halloween Doll Workshop Prop Set where upon opening the set, the pop-up text was different compared to the actual contents.

The Ancient Weapons in Sycraia Underwater Ruins (Abyssal Zone) have become more active.
- Increased the number of Pirash, Lykin, Kureba, and Elmermol.
- Moved or removed certain Eyes of the Deep Sea.
Refined the warning alert system that is activated at a certain chance when defeating monsters in the Hystria Ruins.
- Setting off the alert system will immediately summon a Watch Tower.
- Once summoned, the Watch Tower will only keep an eye on intruders prior to being attacked.
- Once the Watch Tower is damaged, it will begin to assess the threat level of the intruders.
- Reduced the time required to assess the invaders and summon monsters.
- Increased the number of monsters summoned during the alert's first to third stages.

[Quest]

Added the option to learn Nova Awakening skills by talking to Cruhorn Wyrmsbane If your Nova didn't learn Awakening skills even after completing the Nova Awakening quest series.

Changed the mouse cursor for the following text input UI to indicate the function to input tex

Fixed the Black Spirit's Rage 200% skills' cooldown to not reset when changing Skill Presets and/or resetting skills.

[Mystic] Bloody Gloves – Added text explaining that wearing the gauntlet will make parts of the gloves invisible in the item description.
[Musa] Karlstein Classic Set – Fixed incorrect text in the item description.
Fixed the issue where attempting to repair max durability of the 5 green-grade [Race Horse] "Giorgiaro" horse gear pieces with Memory Fragments would incorrectly restore durability as if it were a white-grade item (10 per Memory Fragment), instead of restoring durability as a green-grade item (5 per Memory Fragment).
[Shai] – Fixed the issue where wearing certain outfits would remove some of her lower teeth.
Fixed the issue where after having created a Guild, searching for nodes in the World Map wouldn't change the mouse cursor when hovered over the text window to input the name of the specific node.
Fixed the issue with the Old Moon Grand Prix notices where the text would spill out of the UI for certain languages.
Prime: Fianchetto Issue compensation.
- There was an issue with Nova's skill Prime: Fianchetto being learned with less skill points than the actual required amount. This issue was fixed last week but we found more skill points have been returned to certain players than intended. Thus with today's maintenance, we have reset the skill preset again and deducted any additionally gained skill points. To compensate for the inconvenience this may have caused, we will be distributing [Event] Secret Book of Old Moon (1 Day) x1 to those affected via in-game mail. Please make sure to claim it before February 20, 23:59 UTC or it will disappear.
