This week's patch notes mark the beginning of the Succession series! Succession skills will bring you back to your roots by giving you powerful new skills focused on the original weapons of your class. Sharpen your swords and string your bows because the first two classes welcoming their Succession skills are Warrior and Ranger!

    • Event 1. Celebrate Warrior & Ranger Succession!

      • Adventurers who reach a certain level with their Warrior and Ranger characters during the event period can obtain rewards below via the Challenge tab (Y)!
    • Event 2. Dual EXP Share Event

      • During the event period, you can tag your main character with a sub-character. Until your sub-character is at 99% of Lv. 59, it will gain half the amount of the EXP your main character obtains (excluding EXP boosts).

Mounts
  • The Old Bartali Sailboat can now load the same items for cargo as other large ships.

  • Fixed the issue where the checkbox for using BreezySail continuously while sailing would disappear.

Class Changes

"I miss seeing the dependable Warrior with his Longsword and Shield, as well as Ranger's skillful arrows embroider the skies with green." This simple thought gave birth to "Succession."

We wanted to make combat only with Main Weapons feel as complete, cohesive, and fun as that with Awakening Weapons. We realized that to do that, we would need to make large changes to make Main Weapon combat comparable to Awakening Weapon combat. Thus, we prepared the Succession content with three key things in mind.

Firstly, we wanted Main Weapon skills to be a match for Awakening Weapon skills in combat. We especially tried to bring up Main Weapon performance to be on par with that of Awakening Weapons in PvE. We felt it was important that choosing Succession would not disadvantage you in character growth or PvE.

Secondly, we wanted to bring Main Weapon combat to the next level by revamping certain skills. Which skills we chose to depended per class. However, our goal was always to bring out the unique characteristics of each class.

Thirdly, we wanted Main Weapon skills to be simpler to use. Because there are many different skills for Main Weapons, they can be difficult to master. That is why we decided to have a similar number of new skills to the number of Awakening skills, which should be enough for there still to be some variety.

We hope that you have fun and feel powerful using these new and strategically upgraded Main Weapon skills. You can even supplement them with certain Absolute skills, just as you could with Awakening Weapon skills.

Apart for developing this new "Succession" content, we will also continue to improve upon existing content and balance classes. Therefore, we hope that you choose between Succession and Awakening not because you think one is stronger than the other, but because you enjoy one type of combat over the other. There should no wrong choice between Succession and Awakening.

By Class

Warrior
  • Added the "Succession" content.
    • After Awakening the Warrior, accept the quest "[Warrior Succession] Goyen's Conviction" from the Black Spirit to start the Succession quest series.
    • You will learn the skill "Succession: Warrior's Spirit" which will allow you to learn more powerful Longsword and Shield skills.
    • You will no longer be able to use your Great Sword skills.
    • Added the "Succession" tab to the Skill window.
    • You will be able to learn and use skills in both the "Main" and "Succession" tabs. However, if there is both an "Absolute" and "Succession" versions of the same skill, you must choose as you cannot use both versions of the skill.
    • To learn certain Succession skills, you will first need to learn the preceding skills from the "Main" tab first.
    • After completing the Succession quests and learning the skill "Succession: Warrior's Spirit," you can go back and forth between Succession and Awakening skills by resetting your skills.
    • To go from using Succession to Awakening skills, you need to reset your skills to unlearn "Succession: Warrior's Spirit."
    • To go from using Awakening to Succession skills, you need to reset your skills and relearn "Succession: Warrior's Spirit."

Ranger
  • Added the "Succession" content.
    • After Awakening the Ranger, accept the quest "[Ranger Succession] The Will Inscribed Within" from the Black Spirit to start the Succession quest series.
    • You will learn the skill "Succession: Feathers of Lemoria" which will allow you to learn more powerful Longbow skills.
    • You will no longer be able to use your Kamasylven Sword skills.
    • Added the "Succession" tab to the Skill window.
    • You will be able to learn and use skills in both the "Main" and "Succession" tabs. However, if there is both an "Absolute" and "Succession" versions of the same skill, you must choose as you cannot use both versions of the skill.

  • Fixed the issue where sometimes Awakening skills could not be used after you went from Main Weapon to Awakening Weapon mode with while moving laterally, and then sprinted.

Dark Knight
  • Increased the accuracy rate overall (e.g. it is increased by a maximum of 7.5% at Lv. 60).

Quest

  • Fixed the issue where the shape of the mouse cursor changed when you put it over an icon on the title bar of the Storage window.

  • [Shai] Changed the following message that appeared when you called a donkey with a Trainer's Flute, for certain circumstances.
    • Before: Your mount is too far away.
    • Now: Donkey loaded with items can not be summoned.
  • The item tooltips for items in your Inventory or Warehouse should now appear next to their respective UI when using a Transaction Maid or Transaction Butler.

  • Fixed the issue where items you could no longer get appeared on the Item Exchange List when you tried to exchange an item with an NPC.

  • Fixed the issue where buttons for items you could no longer get or exchange appeared when you tried to exchange an item with an NPC.

  • Moved some of the buttons that appeared when you interacted with an NPC from the Exchange tab to the Conversation tab.

  • Fixed the issue where information about the wrong horse appeared on the UI after attempting to awaken a courser into a dream horse.

  • Fixed the issue where the tooltip for using Overcharged Shot with a Monsterbane Cannon did not fit the UI.

  • Fixed the issue where the Register Mount window did not appear properly if you opened the Register Mount window while the results of your courser awakening attempt was still on the screen.

  • Moved the buttons for "Remote Collection" and "Sell Mount" in the stable and wharf UIs so they are more separated from the other buttons in the UI. This is to help decrease the chance of these options being selecting accidentally.

  • You can no longer use hotkeys (e.g. ENTER, ESC) on the message window that appears when you select the buttons for "Remote Collection" or "Sell Mount" in the stable and wharf UIs.

  • Added sound effects for doing certain actions with an Alchemy Stone.

  • Removed the Black Friday event banner.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not bookmark adventure logs after you opened one up by clicking on an alert message about adventure logs.

  • Fixed the issue where the Cleanse Gear button appeared inactive after you canceled cleansing your gear and reopened the Cleanse Gear window.

  • Changed the explanation that appears in the Potion Setting UI of the Fairy Information as follows.
    • Before: Click on the Potion on the right for your fairy to use.
    • Now: Select a potion on the right for your fairy to use.
  • Fixed the issue where the explanatory text for the View History for Guild Storage window did not fit the UI.

  • Fixed the issue where the name of certain social actions did not fit the Social Action window.

  • Fixed the issue where the number of reform stones you had appeared incorrectly if you used two or more types of reform stone to try upgrading your gear.

  • Changed the background of the NPC dialogue text.

  • Fixed the issue where the text "Skill Points" overlapped with the numerical value of your skill points in the Skill window.

Resolved Issues
  • Fixed the graphical issue with certain cliffs at Altinova.

  • Fixed the issue where some of the auto-paths at Valencia City were awkward.

  • Fixed the issue where you could perform abnormal gathering in certain areas of Desert Naga Temple.

  • Fixed the issue where an oar was floating around in the Ross Sea.

  • [Sorceress] Fixed a graphical issue with the fur on Cartian outfit being too sparkly.

  • Fixed the awkward camera angle that occurred when interacting with certain Ogres at Trent.

  • Changed the message that appears when you register your worker at the Worker Exchange, then cancel.
    • Before: Failed to cancel registration at the Worker Exchange.
    • Now: Registration cannot be canceled for the first 15 mins.
  • Fixed the issue where you could perform abnormal gathering in certain areas of Marni Farm Ruins.

  • Fixed the issue where there were abnormal structures at the Desert Naga Temple.

  • Fixed the issue where certain areas in Velia was wrongly designated as combat zones.

  • Fixed the issue where the navigation for the quest To Kanvera Island was not working properly.

  • Fixed the issue where Garmoth would sometimes attack Harak's Shelter, even though it is a safe zone.

  • Fixed the issue where certain areas in Kamasylvia did not appear properly on the minimap.

  • Fixed the issue where adventurers could not do certain actions (e.g. eating, using skills) in certain areas of the Abandoned Iron Mine.

  • [Berserker] Fixed the issue where the preceding skill for Quaking Fury, Frenzied Destroyer VI, was missing from the skill description of Quaking Fury.

  • Fixed the issue where the Feathery Steps skill of your Fairy did not apply to Imperial Crafting Delivery items.

  • Fixed the issue where the ships of other adventurers sometimes were invisible to you.

  • Fixed the issue where mounts could become damaged if you were under Lv. 50 and attacked a mounted, enemy adventurer during a guild war.

  • Added the following error message, which will appear if you try to name a chat group with an already existing name.
    • This chat group name already exists.
  • Fixed the issue where you could the quest NPC Schumann near Goyen's Grave even when you were not doing the relevant quest.

  • Fixed the issue where the relics in Altar of Blood sometimes had abnormal HP and impeded progress.

  • Fixed the issue where the auto-path to Kanvera Island was awkward.

  • Changed the location of certain structures near the wharf at Velia that impeded the movement of ships there.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not use the ENTER key to close the message window that appeared after failing to exchange horses due to a lack of money.

  • Fixed the issue where a warning message did not appear if you tried to equip mount gear while the Mount Information or the Ship Information window was open, and you were able to equip the gear immediately.

  • Fixed the issue where the enhancement level of reward items did not display properly in the quest window that appears when you deciding whether or not to accept a quest from an NPC.

  • Fixed a graphical issue with the clothes of a Shai NPC at Brellin Farm.

Known Issues
  • We are aware of the issue where wrong items are appearing in the Item Exchange List when exchanging Energy for items via certain NPCs.

It's been a few weeks since we launched the Great Expedition expansion into the world of Black Desert Online, and since then many of you have enjoyed bartering in the Great Ocean. Therefore we are happy to announce that bartering will now be considered a life skill and will grant special bonuses when leveled up!

Also after this update, you will be able to control Ogres and Trolls during Conquest Wars, so take advantage of their chaotic powers and achieve victory with them!

Finally, there are rumors spreading about a Mysterious Knight appearing in monster zones and offering 100% Skill EXP boost for a limited time. Shall we check if the rumors are true?

We have developed the parley system with the feedback from Global Lab in mind, adjusting the number of parley points needed and connecting this system with the new life skill, Bartering.

In general we aimed to adjust the difficulty and profits for bartering to get more barters happening in the beginning stages of bartering, so you can ultimately make more profit for less time. We did have to lower the ratio of level 4 sea trade goods that could be exchanged for with level 3 sea trade goods from three to two, due to the high profit (up to 30 million Silver per barter). You can also now do up to six barters for level 1 sea trade goods so hopefully you will not exhaust your sea trade good supply as fast as before this update.

We have also added more ways to get materials to upgrade a ship to an Epheria Carrack. Hopefully with this change, getting these materials will feel less like a chore. For those of you who already have an Epheria Carrack and gear for it, we would like you to know that we are planning on developing blue grade gear for Epheria Carracks.
  • Added the Bartering life skill.
    • You can get Bartering EXP by bartering items.
    • The amount of EXP gained will depend on the item being bartered at each island.
    • Because bartering is a life skill, it is affected by life skill buffs from items such as Extra Life EXP Scroll items.
    • You can check your bartering level in the My Information window.
    • You can check your bartering ranking on the Rankings window.
    • Bartering EXP based on the amount of bartering you have done so far has been sent to your in-game mailbox.
  • Introduced the Parley system to Bartering.
    • Every time you barter, you will need to parley.
    • The number of parley points required to barter at each node differs, and even if barter is still available at a node you cannot barter without the required parley points.
    • Between each barter information refresh, you will have 1,000,000 parley points to spend.
    • As your bartering level increases, you will need fewer parley points.
      • For example, a Bartering Beginner 1 may need 14,286 parley points to barter at a particular node but may need only 13,074 parley points at the same node when an Apprentice 1.
    • There will be mouseover tooltips in the Bartering Information window with information about how your Bartering level (and Value Pack effect, if applicable) affects the number of parley points needed.
  • Added the item Crow's Trade Voucher.
    • This item recovers 250,000 of your parley points and has a cooldown of four hours.
      • Please note that the maximum number of parley points you can have a time is 1,000,000.
    • Use Manufacture in the Processing menu on Item Collection Increase Scroll (60 min) x1 to get Crow's Trade Voucher x1.
      • You cannot manufacture [Event] Item Collection Increase Scroll (60 min) to get a Crow's Trade Voucher.
  • You can now refresh barter information manually, instead of having for it to be automatically refreshed every four hours.
    • You can refresh barter information up to three times a day, with a cooldown of four hours.
    • The number of times you can refresh barter information will be reset every day at 06:00 UTC.
    • If you do not refresh the barter information it will stay the same and will not be automatically refreshed.
  • Lowered the accumulated number of exchanges needed to barter for the following ship upgrade items for upgrading a ship to an Epheria Carrack, and increased the frequency of the barter exchange appearing.

  • Changed the items being bartered per type of barter as follows.


  • Reduced the number of basic materials needed at barter type level 1.
    • The amount needed will always be in units of hundred, unless less than 100 basic materials are needed. Then, they will be in units of tens.
  • You can now barter for the following items via certain floating objects (e.g. Shipwrecked Cargo Ship) in Margoria.
    • [Level 5] Opulent Coral Trinket
    • [Level 5] Cox Pirates' Journal
    • [Level 5] Rust Repair Tool

  • Increased the amount of Sea Coins you can get from the following locations by 25%.

  • Reduced the accumulated number of exchanges needed to barter via the following floating objects in Margoria: Shipwrecked Cargo Ship; Cholace Chico's Pirate Union; Wandering Merchant Ship.
    • You could barter level 4 sea goods for level 5 sea trade goods closer to the coast, but now you can now also barter them via the Cholace Chico's Pirate Union and Shipwrecked Cargo Ship.
    • You can now barter for ship upgrade materials and level 5 sea trade goods via the Wandering Merchant Ship.
  • Changed the Explore function for sailing as follows.
    • It is now possible for sailors to find Seaweed or Bottle of Sea Water while exploring.
    • Increased the chance sailors will repair your ship.
    • Increased the chance sailors will find rations.
    • Increased the chance the condition of sailors will decrease.
  • Decreased the rate special barter becomes available.

  • Added effects to Value Pack items that lets you do the following.
    • Refresh barter information up to four times a day, instead of the usual three.
    • Use 10% less parley points per barter.
    • Remotely check or skip Special Barter via the Barter Information window (including the one in the World Map) instead of going to the bartering location yourself.
      • However, you still need to load the items for barter onto your ship and go to the bartering location yourself.
  • Changed the option to see Monster Zones Info in the World Map to "Detailed Surroundings."
    • You can now see the location of the floating objects (e.g. Shipwrecked Cargo Ship) in Margoria on the World Map, if you have knowledge of all 12 of them and you have selected the option for Detailed Surroundings on the World Map.
  • Added three new types of social actions: hold beer; hold broom; read book.
    • You can move while doing these three social actions, and press special keys to activate specific variations of each social action.
    • You need to complete certain quests to unlock these new social actions.

  • Added the items [Conquest] Dark Contract: Ogre and [Conquest] Dark Contract: Troll.
    • Use the [Conquest] Dark Contract: Ogre or [Conquest] Dark Contract: Troll to summon an ogre or troll which you can possess and control.
    • The offensive side of Conquest Wars can use these items.
    • The ogre or troll, once summoned, can be possessed by anyone in your guild.
    • Any summoned ogres or trolls will disappear when the Conquest War ends.
    • When an ogre or troll is summoned, a button that you can use to call it will appear for everyone in your guild in the upper left-hand side of the screen.
    • The location of the ogre or troll will appear on the world map for everyone in your guild.
    • When you possess an ogre or troll, you will see the key guide for controlling it on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
    • The summoned ogre or troll will die if they go into a body of water.
    • Added a new item Ogre Dark Crystal, which can be processed into a [Conquest] Dark Contract: Ogre.
      • You can get Ogre Dark Crystals at a low rate by looting ogres at Muraka or Mansha Forest.
      • Use Simple Alchemy in the Processing window to combine Ogre Dark Crystal x1 and Ogre Blood x50 into [Conquest] Dark Contract: Ogre x1.
    • Added a new item Troll Dark Crystal, which can be processed into a [Conquest] Dark Contract: Troll.
      • You can get Troll Dark Crystals at a low rate by looting Quint, or by looting the trolls at Quint Hill.
      • Use Simple Alchemy in the Processing window to combine Troll Dark Crystal x1 and Troll Blood x100 into [Conquest] Dark Contract: Troll x1.

System
  • The option to hide certain NPCs for better game performance is now available.
    • Go to Settings > Performance > Workers & Pets > NPC Settings to use this option. Toggle this option on to hide non-essential NPCs (i.e. NPCs you can interact with but do not have a shop, give quests, etc.)
    • Toggling this option on and off will only be applied after you reconnect to the game, or go to the Character Selection window and come back.
  • You can now choose between two different types of paths while navigating at sea. You can choose between the two by accessing the Ocean Navigation Setting window via a button on the bottom of the World Map.

    • Short Route
      • This is the shorter route to your destination by distance. However, since the road might include some twists and turns your actual journey time might be longer than expected.
    • Quick Route
      • This route might be longer, but it may just be the quicker route, since there will be minimal twists and turns and you should be able to maintain your ship's speed better.

Mounts
  • Text saying that enhancement level will drop when you fail at enhancing Epheria Caravel or Epheria Galleass gear will no longer appear.

  • You can now use the skill BreezySail continuously on ships that can use that skill.

    • Mount your ship's wheel and check the option that appears to toggle this option on. Then, press W to start moving while using the skill BreezySail continuously.
  • Doom can now only use the skill Dark Sprint during S: Charge if it knows S: Instant Accel.

  • Added skill command information in the Mount Information window about using Doom's skill Dark Sprint (F during S: Charge).

  • Fixed the issue where using the horse skill Fore Chop made a camel icon appear.

  • Added a feature to large ships (i.e. Epheria Sailboat, Improved Epheria Sailboat, Epheria Frigate, Improved Epheria Frigate, Galley, Epheria Caravel, Epheria Galleass, Epheria Carrack) so that if they get stuck in an auto-path and their durability is above 50%, they will automatically stop moving.
    • The ship will stop in this scenario even during the skill PowerAccel. or BreezySail.
It's sad when you have set your ship on an auto-path and come back to see that your ship is stuck somewhere, but still trying to move and depleting its rations supply. Therefore, we decided to add the feature of ships stopping when they get stuck in an auto-path.
  • Decreased the intensity of the camera effects for the skill BreezySail on large ships (i.e. Epheria Sailboat, Improved Epheria Sailboat, Epheria Frigate, Improved Epheria Frigate, Galley, Epheria Caravel, Epheria Galleass, Epheria Carrack).

Monster Changes
  • The monsters that appear near the following Kamasylvia quest NPCs and location have either been moved or removed.

  • Made changes to Kvariak of the Tshira Ruins in Drieghan.
    • The conditions under which Kvariak appears has changed. Kvariak will now appear whenever you get a Poisoned Talon, which you can get at a certain rate by defeating monsters in the Tshira Ruins.
      • When Kvariak appears, there will be a system message and the designated area in Tshira Ruins will be lit up with a yellow beam of light. The beam of light will be there for one minute.
      • When you approach the light beam, Kvariak will appear and you will be rewarded if you defeat it.
      • If Kvariak is not engaged in combat, it will disappear in 10 minutes. It may also disappear if you die fighting or leave the fight and then do not come back to fight it within 10 minutes.
      • Only the one who found a Poisoned Talon can fight Kvariak. Other adventurers will not be able to damage Kvariak.
    • Adjusted the AP and strength of Kvariak to be suitable for one adventurer.
      • No changes were made to Kvariak's DP. Please note that the amount of damage dealt to Kvariak will start to fall if you have over a certain number of AP.
    • Changed the maximum number of adventures who can loot Kvariak from five to one.

In the game, milk is almost like liquid gold to cooking enthusiasts.

We wanted to keep the value of milk high, so compared with some other ingredients we were slower in making this item more readily available. However, after the Imperial Crafting Delivery update on November 6, the demand for milk has gotten even higher.

In response, we decided to increase the amount of milk you can get from playing the cow milking minigame. Depending on future data analyses, we may make further changes on ways to get milk.
  • The cow milking minigame is now considered as gathering. Therefore, you can now get Gathering EXP from milking cows.

  • Changed the amount of Energy consumed and Milk obtained for the cow milking minigame.

Mounts
  • Added a skill lock feature for mounts (excluding guild mounts).
    • Mounts with the lock feature applied will maintain the lock feature when they are kept at the Stable/Wharf, or even when killed.
      • Courser's Spirit and Two-seater skill cannot use the lock feature.
We received feedback that the skill training minigame activating even during inconvenient moments was a nuisance. Therefore, we decided to add this feature so you can have more choice about when to use your mount's skills.
  • Improved the camera perspective and convenience of getting off from large ships.
    • When moving while on board the Epheria Carrack, the camera perspective will move further away from the ship and increase the field of view as you sail.
    • Improved the camera perspective and effects when using sailing skills (PowerAccel., BreezySail, Ram) for the Epheria Cog and large ships (Bartali Sailboat, Epheria Sailboat, Epheria Frigate, Improved Epheria Frigate, [Guild] Galley, Epheria Carrack).
    • You can press the R key while moving or using sailing skills on the above ships to quickly stop, allowing you to get off the ships more easily.
    • Changed the Quick-Retreat sailing skill control to "Shift + S". If you press the S key while the ship has stopped, you will slowly move back. If you press Shift + S, you will use Quick-Retreat, which allows you to move back more quickly.
  • Revised the description for Arduanatt's skill Wings of Wind to match the actual conditions for using the skill.

  • Fixed the issue where the character's stamina would momentarily be abnormal when using the escape feature while on board a ship or Forest Path Wagon.

  • Fixed the issue where the cannon on the first row from the right side of Zafina Cannons and Serena Cannons would move simultaneously with their handles.

Some of the ingredients for Imperial Crafting Delivery, especially those for Cooking Box, have been adjusted.

The general goal is to adjust Crafting Difficulty according to the Box Grade. For Cooking, the collection of ingredients is directly linked to production output. Therefore, the less the ingredients you need to get in person are, the higher the efficiency will be. Previously, collecting ingredients for some of the food included in a low grade box was too difficult, while collecting ingredients for those included in a high grade box was easy.

Since the required quantity of the ingredients has also been adjusted, there won't be any significant change in your profit. However, those foods that are more easy to produce will now be included in low grade boxes and those that are more difficult to produce in high grade boxes.

Interface Changes
  • [Notice] Although the Life Skill category UI for Bartering will be applied after the 27th maintenance, the UI itself will be added after the 20th maintenance. We are making the following announcement to avoid any confusion, since it is only the UI that we are adding first, without reflecting the relevant data. This UI can be found under Barter Information window from ESC > Barter.
The new Life Skill type, Bartering, which can be obtained through bartering, was added to the Global Lab on November 12. Adjustments were made so that all those adventurers who are enjoying the Great Expedition could gain profit and Life EXP at the same time through bartering.

The life skill type Bartering will be officially updated on November 27, 2019. There might be some adjustments for the official update, but for now, we would like to present you the changed UI in the Barter Information window.

You won't be able to actually see the increase in your Life Skill Level yet even if you do bartering after today's update. Please wait until next week's official update happens, when you will get bartering EXP based on the amount of bartering you have done so far!

Furthermore, soon there will be a functional update for those adventurers of the Great Ocean, including the addition of a Sea Route Search feature, Ship control improvement, etc. Please look forward to it!
  • Items which are ready for collection will now be displayed at the top of the lists in the Central Market.

  • You can now set up hotkeys for reefing or shaking out the sails of ships.

  • The search bar in the Barter Information window will now be grayed out if no more barters are available.

  • Fixed the issue where the placement of line breaks prevented the entire text of new knowledge entries from being visible.

  • Added Deve's Encyclopedia.
    • Deve's Encyclopedia is an unconventional encyclopedia filled with stories about peculiar items Deve has collected and unusual ways of using them. Collect the types of items mentioned in the stories, then talk to Deve to complete the pages of the encyclopedia.
    • The rewards for completing the pages will benefit all characters in your family by improving their basic stats (e.g. HP, weight limit).
    • You can accept the Black Spirit quest for Deve's Encyclopedia if your character has reached Lv. 56, completed the awakening quests, and reached family fame of 601.
    • Deve's Encyclopedia consists of 6 chapters. You must start from chapter 1 and complete each subsequent chapter in order.
  • Changed the damage dealt by ballistas used by the offensive side of Conquest Wars as follows.
    • Damage dealt to the gate: +10%
    • Damage dealt to adventurers: +30%

    • If an item that you have ordered was sold to you, it did not automatically appear on your "My Items" tab, without having to refresh.

  • Fixed the issue where you could crawl into the platform underneath NPC Merindora in Grána.

Known Issues
  • We are aware of the issue where you cannot use the storage if you are carrying the type of trade items that makes your character appear to be carrying a knapsack.
    • As a workaround please transfer your trade items to your mount, then use the storage.

  • We are aware of the issue where having equipped Helm Destroyer's Belt and Necklace of Sealed Magical Power together does not give the accessories' set effects. This will be resolved with next week's maintenance.

In this week's update we are improving the quality of life of all alchemists and chefs by adding new Imperial Cuisine and Alchemy boxes for Imperial Crafting Delivery.

While some will be busy crafting, adventurers in love with the ocean can get busy with the new quests for Oquilla's Eye that we are also adding this week.

If the alchemy, cooking, and ocean are not for you, you can still enjoy some sweetness with the "Chomp! Choco Stick Day" event which is starting today.

  • Added new Imperial Cuisine and Imperial Alchemy boxes for Imperial Crafting Delivery.
Imperial Crafting Delivery is a content we hoped would guarantee you a certain profit for cooking or performing alchemy. If the price of your cooking or alchemy product is too low on the Central Market, or if there is already too much of the same product there you could always turn to Imperial Crafting Delivery to make some profit. This is because the amount of Silver you get for each Imperial Cuisine or Imperial Alchemy box is fixed.

However, due to the limited type of items that could be sold through Imperial Crafting Delivery there has been an imbalance in the price and availability of certain items. The food and elixirs unavailable for Imperial Crafting Delivery tend to be overlooked while the items that are available for Imperial Crafting Delivery tend to be high in demand, which drives up market prices.

We wanted to improve the existing system, and we tried to do it in two ways.

Firstly, we wanted simplification and inclusivity. Except for a few items, almost all food and elixirs are now available for Imperial Crafting Delivery. Instead of each food item having its own box, the boxes are now just simply divided by life skill level you need to make the item.

For example, when you use Imperial Cuisine to pack Beer you will get an Apprentice's Cooking Box but if you pack Grain soup you will also get an Apprentice's Cooking Box. For just the Apprentice's Cooking Box alone, you can choose from a list of 16 foods to cook. You can even pack higher-grade versions of food and elixirs for Imperial Crafting Delivery.

Since we greatly decreased the types of Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes, if you make the boxes in bulk they should take up less slots in your storage or inventory.

Despite these changes, depending on which box you want to make, the number and cost of the ingredients may vary. Therefore to maximize profit, you can check the prices on the Central Market before deciding on which box to make, or make the box for which you already own much of the ingredients needed to make it.

Secondly, we wanted to add more rewards. Though the main goal of Imperial Crafting Delivery is earning Silver, we wanted to add some rewards for each time you turn in a box. This is because making Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes uses up a lot of materials, which may leave your storage depleted.

Now, you will get a different type of "Delivery Gift Box" for each type of box you hand into an Imperial Crafting Delivery NPC. From the Delivery Gift Box, you will get one type of item useful for cooking or alchemy, at random. We hope that this will help you make your next Imperial Crafting Delivery box more easily.
  • The new Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes weigh 50 LT.

  • Higher-grade versions of the same food item can be used as a substitute at a 1:3 ratio.
    • For example, although you need Beer x60 to make an Apprentice's Cooking Box, you will need only Cold Draft Beer x20 to make the same box.
  • You can go to any Imperial Crafting Delivery NPC to find out the required cooking or alchemy products for crafting each box.

  • Due to the addition of new Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes, the old Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes can no longer be made.

  • However, if you have any of these boxes you can still deliver them to an Imperial Crafting Delivery NPC.

  • Boxes which can no longer be made will no longer be included in the Processing Knowledge List for the Imperial Cuisine and Imperial Alchemy functions the Processing window.











Game World, NPC & Effects

Game World
  • The damage from horses will now also be included in the AP restriction for Tier 1 Node Wars.
    • This restriction only applies to damage to another adventurer from horse skills and mounted combat skills.
    • This restriction does not apply to damage to cannons, barricades, and wooden fences from horse skills and mounted combat skills.
  • Removed extraneous items from which you could gather from (i.e. fish nets) from the Longleaf Tree Sentry Post.

Mounts
  • Reworked the design of the Mount Information window.

  • Added information about extra damage against ships and PVP damage to the item descriptions of ship cannons.

  • Added information about mount skill effects and resource (e.g. Stamina) consumption to the Mount Information window, for all mount skills.
    • The information was added to the mouseover tooltip of each mount skill's icon.
  • Reworked the camera perspective and effects for when certain ships move and use skills.
    • Your camera perspective when you are sailing on an Epheria Carrack should now be broader.
    • Changed the camera perspective and effects for the skills BreezySail, Ram, and PowerAccel. when they are used by the following ships to hopefully be more immersive: Epheria Cog; Epheria Sailboat; Improved Epheria Sailboat; Epheria Frigate; Improved Epheria Frigate; Epheria Caravel; Epheria Galleass; Epheria Carrack.

Class Changes

All Classes[/h1]
  • Improved way fights are displayed for Battle Arena and Arena of Arsha, so character movements look more natural.
We made this change in hopes that it will help alleviate the location lag issues at Battle Arena and Arena of Arsha, so you can experience a smoother gaming experience there. We will work to keep providing updates to help improve your gaming experience.

Shai
  • Fixed the buff effects of the following skills. These are the same skills for which buff effects were disabled during a previous patch because Shai's DP was being applied abnormally when using these skills.
    • Misty Haze
    • Twirl-Three
    • Kwik-Two
    • Hop-Three

Item Changes
  • Added a new item called Abyssal Gem.
    • Abyssal Gems can be obtained through a newly added daily quest at Oquilla's Eye.
      • You can check which quest via the Quest, or Knowledge windows.
    • Use Simple Alchemy in the processing window to combine Abyssal Gem x2 into a Tear of the Ocean.
  • Pearl apparel that are not bound yet can no longer be enhanced with Black Spirit's Claw.

  • Your character will no longer cheer when it gets Everlasting Herb.

  • Added instructions on how to use Elixir of Regeneration and Tears of the Star in their item descriptions.

  • You can now put [Guild] Breezy Crystal and [Guild] Origin of Wind in the inventory of your guild's Galley.

  • Added a set effect for equipping Loggia, Geranoa, or Manos life skill accessories.
    • Life EXP Gain +2% for every two Loggia accessories
    • Life EXP Gain +3.5% for every two Geranoa accessories
    • Life EXP Gain +5% for every two Manos accessories"
We developed life skill mastery accessories so adventurers with lower life skill level could improve their life skills faster, while adventurers with higher life skill levels could also benefit since the items improved their life mastery. Since these accessoires are not restricted to specific life skills they had a buff to increase Life EXP gain, which applies to all life skills.

This update adds an additional Life EXP gain buff if you equip life skill accessories of the same set. We hope that will help you improve your life skills even faster than before. This set effect is not affected by the enhancement level of your life skill mastery accessories. However, because the set effect takes into affect even when you only have two accessories from a set, we hope that these new set effects are accessible to all sorts of adventurers, new and seasoned.
  • Added instructions on how to use [Guild] Breezy Crystal and [Guild] Origin of Wind to their respective item descriptions.

  • Changed the drop rate of Black Magic Crystal items in the following locations.

  • Changed the specs of some of the items NPC Haz sells.
    • Increased Arsha's Gloves (Accuracy)'s DP by 4.
    • Increased Arsha's Earring (AP)'s DP by 4

Quests & Knowledge

Quest
  • Added daily quests for Oquilla's Eye.
    • You must have completed the following quests to be able to accept the new daily quests: [Daily] Our Guild is not a Charity Group; [Daily] Do You Have What it Takes?; [Daily] Win-win Situation.
    • You must choose between the new daily quests or the following old quests because you cannot accept both the new and old daily quests at the same time: [Daily] Old Moon Guild's Candidum Hunter; [Daily] Old Moon Guild's Nineshark Hunter; [Daily] Old Moon Guild's Black Rust Hunter.
    • You can choose one of the following quests daily.
  • Added the following guild missions specifically for defeating <Hungry> Margoria sea monsters.
    • Due to this addition, defeating <Hungry> Margoria sea monsters for the old [Subjugation] Protect the Villagers missions will no longer count towards the mission objectives.
  • Due to the addition of new Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes, the objectives of some quests have been changed to require the new Imperial Crafting Delivery boxes and not the old ones.

Interface Changes
  • Removed the "Ship Type" text from the Ship information window.

  • Temporarily removed the Combat Focus Mode and Adventure Focus Mode from Edit UI in order to revamp the systems.

  • Changed the enhancement levels at which you can choose enhancement type.
    • This applies to green grade gears that are enhancement level +14 or lower (including reformed gears).
    • This change has been made since the probability of successfully enhancing +7–8 weapons and +5–6 defense gear are the same.

  • The names of the courser awakening materials in the Dream Horse Awakening window will now wrap within the UI.

  • Moved the location of the question mark (?) that was on the upper part of the Dream Horse Awakening window downward, to better accommodate for the UI text.

  • The progress meter measuring your horse's skill mastery when they are connected to a wagon (go to Mount Information > Connected Horse List > Connected Horse Info) is now circular.

  • Added mouseover tooltips for the skills of horses connected to wagons (go to Mount Information > Connected Horse List > Connected Horse Info).

  • Adjusted the lower part of the Learned Skill tab of the Manage Skill window for horses, which you can access at stables.

  • Changed the conditions under which the message recommending you to optimize your UI size will appear.
    • When UI scale is set to 100
    • When vertical screen resolution is under 860
  • When you see the message recommending you to optimize your UI size, you are now given the option on the message window to choose not to see the message again.

  • Fixed the issue where the Mount Information window did not display properly when checking up on your donkey on the World Map.

  • Fixed the issue where sometimes the wrong tab would be displayed after reopening the Settings window and clicking on certain tabs.

  • Fixed the issue where irrelevant information would appear in the Disconnect (End Game) window when the only character you have is a trial character.

  • Fixed the issue where you got an alert that you have better gear in your inventory even if the gear had zero durability.

  • Fixed the issue where unequippable gear was color-coded as equippable in the inventory.

  • Fixed the graphical issue with certain parts of Weita Island that appeared with the lower graphic settings.
