A new Rulupee's Travel Log entry has been added. It is about her travel to Drieghan.
You can read all about brave Rulupee's travels in ESC Menu > Adventure Log > Rulupee's Travel Log.
Every time a quest is completed (except for Daily and Recurring Quests), it will count towards the goal of completing a certain number of quests. The goal for this new entry of Rulupee's Travel Log is completing 9,999 quests.
Once you complete the goal, you will not only get the reward mentioned on the travel log, but also one from the Black Spirit.
If you are on vacation from your Guild, you can now be attacked by members of Guilds that your own Guild is at war with. However, as before, you cannot attack them.
You now only apply for vacation from your Guild when you are in a safe zone.
Fixed the issue where the Dark Rift monster would get ready to appear even when there were no Lv. 56 or higher characters within the Family when creating a Trial Character. (Will be updated with 4/24 maintenance)

Monster Changes
Moved the Dark Rift graphical effects upwards, so that the effects will not interfere with combat.
Fixed the issue where the Ruins Guard Tower (from the Dark Rift) did not summon ancient weapons.
Improved character animation when inflicting damage to the Ruins Guard Tower which appear through quests and the Dark Rift.
Added an effect which shows you the actual Dark Rift when a monster appears from it.
The Dark Rift effect does not affect actual combat.
When the Faraway NPC Detail option has been selected, monsters in cities (e.g. the protesters in Calpheon City) will appear as black silhouettes while loading.
When you break open the Red Orc Prison, the soldiers will now break free and fight together with you against the enemies.

The default color of empty Quick Slots have been changed to be clear. However, when you are dragging an item from your Inventory, the empty Quick Slots will become colored again.

You can now use the skill Charge faster after using Earth of Life or Earth of Protection.
You can now use the Earth of Life while the horse is moving, or using the skills Sprint or Instant Accel.
Fixed the issue where the fall damage reduction buff was not applied properly to Arduanatt after you landed it by pressing the S key after it performed the skills Wings of Wind and Wings of Freedom.
When you register a mount at the Stable while you do not have any mounts called, the mount you registered will now immediately be called.

Fixed the graphical issue with the abdomen that occurred when a Ranger goes into the combat stance without any defense gear or outfit/costume on.

Fixed the issue where the character would appear graphically broken in combat and non-combat stance when equipped with the Zereth Armor. (Fixed the issue where the legs, left arm and hand areas would appear graphically broken).

Fixed the graphical issue that occurred when wearing Purnado Shoes with the Fallen Garzar Outfit.
Fixed the issue where there would be a graphical overlapping issue when equipping the Purnado Shoes and Enslar outfit.
Maehwa:
Fixed the graphical issue with the fox mask decoration of the Spring Blossom Outfit that occurred in combat stance.
Fixed the issue where the stomach area would appear graphically unnatural when standing or sitting while wearing the basic outfit.
Mystic:
Fixed the issue where Bheg's Gloves would appear on the hands when equipped with the Noel outfit.

Fixed the issue where you were able to make different furniture overlap as you placed them in certain situations in Housing mode.
Added a Challenge which allows you to receive the "+15 Liverto Weapon Box" as a reward when reaching Lv. 55.
This is available once per Family and if your character is over Lv.55, you will have already completed the Challenge (Y) upon logging in and you can claim the completion reward.
Central Market was the first step to create a free market economy where you as the adventurer create your own market without much restriction. We wanted to ensure convenience and accessibility to bring more joy to the art of trading.
However, after the Central Market update, the price gap between equipment which were not upgraded and equipment which were upgraded to ultimate gradually increased due to the amount of equipment upgraded to blue grade rarely being sold or purchased.
Therefore due to profit margins being made by the use of these characteristics of the Central Market, we implemented the following changes.
1. Equipment upgraded to blue grade have been removed. from the Central Market. -The previous upgraded blue equipment have been changed to the yellow grade (ultimate) equipment.
2. Equipment upgraded to yellow grade can no longer be bought or sold at the Central Market. -All blue grade equipment which were registered at the Central Market (or placed on orders or purchased) will be redistributed back through the mail. - Yellow grade equipment can be registered after the reform stone has been extracted and downgraded back to green from the Blacksmith or Arms Dealer NPC. - For extraction, you need 1 Restoration Stone which is sold for 1,000 Silver from the Blacksmith or Arms Dealer NPC. Extraction will result in the following: the equipment prior to being upgraded and an Ultimate Weapon/Armor Reform Stone.
3. With grades 1, 2, and 3 Reform Stones, you will have a chance to upgrade to yellow grade (ultimate) equipment.
4. When Crafting from the Workshop, you can obtain the original crafting equipment and have a chance to obtain yellow grade (ultimate) equipment.
5. Added a visual and sound effect which is displayed when upgrade has succeeded or failed.
6. When attempting an upgrade, the upgrade value for the equipment you are attempting to upgrade will be displayed.
*We are also investigating if there are any ways this system is being abused.
**We resolved the issue where adventurers who have completed all the series of The Uncharted Sea, History of Margoria quest series prior to its revamp on April 3 could not complete the Discovered and Undiscovered quest.

Monster Changes
The following monster names have changed, as well as any reference to them in quests, knowledge entries, etc.
The Ahib Griffon from the Dark Rift will now return to its place if it strays too far away from the Dark Rift while performing its midair chasing motions.
The conditions for the initial availability of the Dark Rift has changed like the following:
Before: Needed to have at least 1 character within the Family which completed the Awakening quest.
Now: Need to have at least 1 character within the Family which reached Lv. 56.
The Moghulis from the Dark Rift will now use a skill based attack even when the adventurer is nearby.
Fixed the issue where the Mad Screaming Orc Warrior would stand up awkwardly when attacked by an attack which should lift and knock it down.
The location where the boss is spawned for the [Boss] Black Spirit and the Giant Imp quest has been changed from Velia Beach to Altar of Agris.

However, since this is a Family quest, characters who have already completed the quest cannot accept the quest.
We resolved the issue where adventurers who have completed all the series of The Uncharted Sea, History of Margoria quest series prior to its revamp on April 3 could not complete the Discovered and Undiscovered quest.
Therefore adventurers who were affected have forfeited the quest mentioned above, yet were given the First Time in Margoria quest from the Black Spirit so that the series of Margoria quests can be completed.
Adventurers who have completed all of the series of Margoria quests prior to April 3 have already received the rewards for the Discovered and Undiscovered quest, therefore will now receive additional quest rewards from the First Time in Margoria quest.
The quest completion conditions for the Discovered and Undiscovered quest has changed from "Restore Old Treasure from Blacksmith Bindo" to "Talk to Blacksmith Bindo". Once you complete the quest conditions, you can restore the Old Treasure from Bindo.
Added a list of items which can be restored based on quantity of the Old Treasure item. The list can be viewed on the item description.
Added the First Time in Margoria quest to the quest Recommended tab.
Added a warning message on the quest completion text for Treasure of the Ancient Shrine I-VI.
The conditions for receiving the Welcome to Altinova! quest has changed like the following:

This January, Black Desert Online set out on a new challenge by introducing Shadow Arena which has been widely acclaimed and is currently in its Spring season.
We had originally planned to provide continuous updates to Shadow Arena to keep it fresh and fun, but over time we had to consider how to balance making improvements to it, whilst working on fresh content. We felt that the focus on new updates was deviating from our original direction, partially due to the time being dedicated towards this mode. In addition, the recent rise of 3rd party software added to our concerns, making us further contemplate on its place within the scope of Black Desert Online.
As a result, we have decided that partial improvements on Shadow Arena would not be enough to keep it running as a regular feature. So after much consideration and discussion, we have ultimately decided to close Shadow Arena in its current state with the April 10th maintenance.
We recognise this may not be good news for those of you who have enjoyed Shadow Arena since its launch. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused due to the relatively short notice we have provided, however, we are preparing a compensation package and we will share the details on this with a future announcement.
The Black Desert Online development team is currently focusing on not only introducing new content such as Star’s End, additional Adventure Log updates, and much more but also on improving the existing content already in the game.

When the boss monster disappears after being summoned through the Dark Portal after a certain period of time, a guide will now appear and explain that you can attempt the combat again by forfeiting the quest and then by interacting with the Dark Portal again.

You can accept the quest from NPC Bevel, the Stable Keeper of Trent, after you have completed the quest The Qualities of a God or [Boss] The Witch of Horrors, if you have not accepted or completed the Seal of the Secret Guards.
You cannot do both Seal of the Secret Guards and Entrusted Seal of the Secret Guards.
The horse emblem you will get for completing either quest is for a Tier 5 male horse. The horse has already learned Sprint and Instant Accel, and both skills are already at 100%.

If the item you want to purchase is registered at the Central Market, then you will be able to purchase the item at the enhancement level you selected, and you will pay the amount based on the price of the selected enhancement level.

This announcement is regarding the recent banwave that took place during the maintenance on March 27th, 2019. After the banwave was implemented, we found that some players have been wrongfully banned. The bans on the affected accounts have now been overturned.

Then use [Event] A Fateful Choice to go to NPC Dosogan Nia who will lead you to other NPCs where you will have to make a choice between 2 answers! The answer choice you make, if it is the choice selected by ‘lesser’ number of other adventurers, will become the Lie and you will get to win prizes!

You can no longer use the Devour function on items that are transfused with crystals, or has Caphras stats.
Such items will be faded out when you open the Devour window, and warning messages have been added.

Fixed the issue where the auto-navigate feature would not work for certain island areas.

Shadow Arena
Shadow Arena Rankings for both Solo/Party play has been reset.
Once the first match of Shadow Arena has been played after the maintenance, all rankings will reset.
You can view the previous season’s rankings through the Shadow Arena Rankings window on the top right menu.
Fixed the issue where the skill descriptions for the Kunoichi's Flash Slash skill was not normal in the Shadow Arena's View Skill Details feature.
Kunoichi's Flash Slash skill description when pressing the Alt key in Shadow Arena will now mention Stiffness.
Fixed the issue where the Shadow Arena survival time points would not be counted towards the points.
Central Market
Improved the search feature at the Central Market (you can now search single characters).

Game World:
The names of the titles below have been revised to match the actual Life Skill level at which you obtain the titles:
Fixed the issue where the cliff near the Crescent Shrine area would look unnatural.
Removed bushes which were awkwardly placed near the starting point of the main quest.
Removed bushes from the walls of certain areas in Valencia.
Added a shorter path that leads you back up to Cron Castle when falling from the castle.
NPC:
Orwen has disappeared from the Kamasylve Temple in Mediah.

Improved the animation for the movements characters make when they try not to fall.
Improved the hit effects which are displayed when successfully landing hits with the following skills/attacks.

Fixed the issue where the character could not be switched when attempting to change characters while not equipped with any weapons.
When multiple adventurers are crowded together in confined spaces, the direction at which the other adventurers are facing will be reflected slowly from the player’s perspective. This is to help with optimization of the servers.
This means that the server will run more smoothly when multiple players are crowded together, but the actual directions each adventurer is facing will be synchronized slowly.

Warrior:
The damage activated when switching to main weapon mode from awakening weapon mode by pressing the W/A/S/D+C key will now reflect the damage from the currently obtained Slash skill.
Fixed the issue where the camera effect would be too intense when using the Slash skill while on a mount.
Ranger:
Fixed the issue where the sound for the Descending Current skill would play when using the Evasive Shot skill immediately after casting the Flow: Crossing Wind and Descending Current skill.
The speed of the arrows fired during the following skills has been increased. The amount of time after which you can swap gears after using these skills has also been changed.
Descending Current I, II, III, IV and V, as well as Ultimate: Descending Current.
Made the hit effects for the skill Tearing Arrow the same when used while mounted and not mounted.
The graphic effects of the skill Dagger of Protection should no longer follow the movements of your character.
Fixed the issue where the back side of the head would move when customizing the eyes.
Fixed the issue where the character's motion would look awkward when standing still after using the Evasive Explosion Shot III and Absolute: Evasive Explosion Shot 2 times consecutively.
Improved the hit effect of Tearing Arrow to be more dynamic.
Sorceress:
Fixed the issue where the hit sound would not play when casting Dream of Doom I - III while on a mount.
Fixed the issue where the hair would look unnatural in character customization.
The damage activated when switching to main weapon mode from awakening weapon mode by pressing the W/A/S/D+C key will now reflect the damage from the currently obtained Dark Split skill.
Berserker:
Fixed the issue where the damage would not be applied when attacking as you switch to main weapon mode by pressing the W/A/S/D+C key while attacking in awakening weapon mode (when you have obtained the Elastic Force X skill).
Tamer:
You can now board a mount while sprinting.
Attacking while switching to main weapon mode (by pressing W/S+C key while attacking in awakening weapon mode) will now result in the same attack as when attacking as the character changes directions.
Fixed the issue where damage would not be applied when attacking as you switch to main weapon mode by pressing A/D+C key while attacking in awakening weapon mode.
Witch:
Instead of Magical Shield and Healing Aura, Fireball and Lightning Chain will appear in the Skill Guide that appears when you are in a combat area.
The proper amount of hits will now be applied for the Toxic Flood and Lava Field skills.
Wizard:
Instead of Magical Shield and Healing Aura, Fireball and Lightning Chain will appear in the Skill Guide that appears when you are in a combat area.

Mystic:
Fixed the issue where the only 5 hits were applied for the Combo Damage of Soul Basher III and Absolute: Soul Basher when used with Martial Spirit Shards.
Item Changes
The total amount of Caphras Stones required for a level 0 - 20 Caphras Enhancement on PEN (V) weapons (main weapon/sub-weapon/awakening weapon) has been reduced by 25%.
Though the amount of Caphras Stones required has decreased, the Caphras stats effects will be the same as before.
The number of upgrade enhancement levels are the same as before (20), and the amount required for each level has been adjusted due to the reduced maximum amount.
If you had already invested enough Caphras Stones to reach level 20 in the new system, you can find the extra Caphras Stones in your in-game mail. They are sent out during this, March 27 maintenance.
Fixed a typo in the description for the button for using the Elion's Tear item, which is displayed when you die.
Fixed the issue where the Fairy voice would not play.
Added a sound effect which plays when Devour is successful.
Added a popup window which describes the Devour feature.
The tooltip for the Fat Catfishman Summon Scroll item (which can be obtained through the [Boss] The Mastermind of the Catfishmen quest), will no longer have the description which mentions interacting with the Dark Portal. Instead, it will now mention that you can use the item by moving to a certain location.
Also, the item's expiration period has been removed.
Fixed the issue where certain contents (shoes and gloves) of the [Musa] Blue Tiger Classic Set would not be displayed in the description which appears after you open the item.
The Dark Spirit's Greed will no longer be exchanged when pressing the R button at Odelphin NPC in Drieghan.
Fixed the issue where the number of Hwachas and Flame Towers you can build for the [Conquest] Sturdy Octagonal Fort would not match the descriptions.
The following item name has been changed.

Monster Changes
Removed the warning display for the Ahib Griffon boss monster which appears from the Dark Rift.
The Ancient Puturum boss monster from the Dark Rift will display a warning message before it deals a powerful attack.
Fixed the issue where you were able to obtain the Harpy Plume trade item when defeating Harpy at Karanda Ridge.
Increased the normal attack range for Dastard Bheg.
Certain monsters at Imp Cave will no longer initiate attacks. This is to allow you to engage in a conversation with Small Nose more easily.
The Gray Boss Wolf has been added in front of the Ancient Stone Chamber, and it has been placed at an area which allows the scene to look more natural.
The camera movement and attack range for boss monster Giath (which you encounter during a quest) have been improved to match the movements more naturally.
In order to provide better combat experience, boss monsters you encounter in quests will now continue to be summoned for 5 minutes when in non-combat mode.
Quests & Knowledge
The completion goals for Rulupee's Travel Log have been adjusted.
Fixed the issue where the Frightening Witch Summon Scroll, a quest reward from the quest Tears of the Wind, was not working properly.
If you possess the Frightening Witch Summon Scroll but have not accepted the main quest [Boss] The Witch of Horrors, you can accept the quest [The Ritual Entity] from NPC Ribley to use the summon scroll.
The quest acceptance condition for the quest Dying Abun has been changed.
Even if you have completed the quest Mediah Merchants Union Chairman, you will no longer be able to accept the quest Dying Abun.
Removed the unnecessary warning descriptions from the quest summary for [Co-op] Story on Cron Castle.
The quest locations for Troublemaker of the Mountain and Rare Gray Fur will now be displayed properly.
Fixed the issue where characters who were going through the beginning stages of the renewed main quests could not accept the following sub quests.

Interface Changes
Fixed the issue where the mount skill name and description would overlap or bleed out of the Mount Information window.
Certain equipment icons have been fixed so that they look more natural in the UI.
The sizes for the following Inventory UI have been adjusted:

The Part for Explorer's Compass has been added to the list of items dropped in the Hystria Ruins region.
Revised the description about the maximum enhancement value for PEN gear Caphras enhancements.
Fixed the issue where a notification message for obtaining better gear would appear when obtaining Life Skill related accessories.
Added a feature where the Black Spirit make a relevant comment when you accept the early main quests.
Made an improvement so that effect (visual and sound) would appear when extracting Garmoth's Heart.
You can now view the "Easy, Medium, and Hard" information for the Tier 1 Nodes from the Participation Region window which is displayed when building a Node War Fort.
Revised the message which is displayed on the Dark Rift UI when the Dark Rift has not yet appeared.
Fixed the issue where extraction would not properly work for the Caphras Stone extraction when using the Inventory's Auto Arrange feature after putting an equipment onto the Extraction window.
Resolved Issues
Fixed the issue where certain effects would look unnatural when running the game below the "Low" graphic settings.
We apologize for the NA weekend EXP boost not working during 3/22 - 3/25 as announced on our forum post. Weekend EXP boost for NA will work normally from this weekend.
