Greetings Adventurers,
I am writing you today to bring some degree of closure to the recent Xigncode concerns. We've gone through your feedback and would like to ask for the opportunity to share our stance. For those who are not familiar with Xigncode, allow me to explain what this software does as stated on their website.
XIGNCODE3 - Source
XIGNCODE3 is the next generation of gaming security solution mainly for online gaming service, currently patented and registered as a “one-time executable code structure”, which allows levels of various security policies according to company management measurements.
XIGNCODE3 supports more than 2000 game environment clients, and operates under Linux or Windows game servers. We provide all interface codes that are easily applicable in various conditions, such as C/C++/JAVA/C#. In addition, the API is structured in simple fashion for convenient adjustment, allowing easy application and testing without any complicated studies.
Xigncode is essentially a blacklist of sorts; it acts locally and will not send any of your data until an illicit program is detected. When Black Desert Online is not running, Xigncode will remain offline. Once you launch the game, however, Xigncode will initiate and will continue to run until the game is closed. This means Xigncode does not operate as a standalone application. When active, Xigncode scans your computer’s random access memory (RAM) to check for unauthorized third-party programs. Should such programs be detected, Xigncode reports which software it was and the account that tried to use it. It should be noted that Xigncode has been critical to the security of the game, such as the blocking of previous malicious programs like PYX and many other similar programs that plague online games.
Now that we have covered what Xigncode does, there are specific concerns we wanted to address directly:

- Xigncode does not sit in the background to idly collect your personal information and share it with others.
- Xigncode is not a rootkit. It does not enable a user to gain control of a computer system without being detected. As explained above, it operates in a very strict manner.
- Xigncode is not an ever-present virus that is impossible to remove from your PC. Without a game running, the software is and will remain inert.
