There are a wide variety of items on these lists, some of which you might not be familiar with. Let’s take a look at them and see how they can help you on your adventures.

• Value Packs benefit all of your characters. The perks include extra Inventory and Storage space, increased Carry Weight, and the ability to invest CP into Nodes remotely. You will also gain unlimited use of the Beauty Salon to change and customize your characters, and unlimited use of the Merv’s Palette to dye your armor, weapons and costumes whatever colors suit your tastes.
• Character Slot Expansion Coupons allow you to unlock another character slot on your account. Remember, however, that there is a maximum number of character slots you can unlock.
• Inventory Slot Expansion Coupons expand a single character’s inventory by the number of slots listed in the item’s name. Inventories can be expanded to a maximum of 192 slots.
• Elion’s Blessings bind to the character whose inventory they are placed in, but allow you to resurrect immediately at your location, with full Health and MP. Any experience lost due to the death penalty is also restored.
• Horses are the main form of transportation in Black Desert Online, and Tiers represent their strength, speed and endurance. Having a higher Tier of horse, up to 8, is going to help you get where you want to go much faster, and even unlock new skills your horse can acquire.
• Horse Flutes are excellent for finding your mount in the heat of a chaotic battle, or simply make running errands around town a little more convenient. As long as your horse is within 500m, you can whistle for it with the Flute, and it will come running to your location.
• In Black Desert Online, pets like cats and dogs can loot for you, while you focus on cutting a swath across the battlefield and achieving ultimate victory. Each pet has a loot speed determined by pet level and tier.
• Housing Decoration Coupons will let you pick pieces of furniture to place in your Residence. Many furniture items have temporary buffs or other benefits, in addition to looking fantastic.

Houses have differing styles, sizes and options, depending on the town and region where they are located. Not all houses are created equal, however. Some houses are quite large, with multiple floors and rooms waiting for your unique sense of Interior Design, while others feature only a single room for a more utilitarian feel.



So you’ve selected your house and invested CP into it. Now what? Decorating of course! There are a large variety of items you can use to decorate your house. Let’s look at a few!

• Beds - You can lay in a bed to recover Energy more quickly.
• Cooking/Alchemy Tools - These will allow you to practice more than the Simple Alchemy from the Processing menu.
• Bookcases - Using these will help you gain Knowledge you have not already acquired.
• Buff Items - Specific pieces of furniture will offer you a temporary buff, however, activating the buff will consume the item’s limited durability.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, however. Many more items can be placed in your Residence, but I’m sure you’re wondering where they all come from. Furniture Merchants will sell you pieces of furniture specific to their regions. You can also use Furniture Workshops to craft your own furniture, drapes and rugs. Certain quests and monsters (include a few bosses) can also reward you with furniture pieces and buff items.

The person who has the highest rank unlocks a special Investment Bank in the town where they live. You’ll be placed in a group with random players and transported to a special island where two teams can compete for points. What is your prize for winning? Collect Red Seals to receive powerful Magical Crystals and a myriad of other fantastic rewards!


If you prefer cooperating with friends and allies to decimate your enemies, you can start a Guild War. For a small amount of Silver, guilds can declare war on one another. Take to the fields for large scale battles, or engage in guerrilla warfare to ensure success!



Should your Guild wish to be more competitive, you can challenge the might of multiple guilds in Sieges. There are two forms Sieges take: Node Wars and Conquest Wars. Victory grants a Guild one week of ownership and Taxes to fuel their Guild Funds.


There's also an open world flagging system which will allow you to attack any player above the level of 50 who is not in a safe zone. There are consequences, however, for attacking another player this way. Every monster you kill grants you Karma, up to a maximum of 300,000. Attacking or killing players and their mounts costs Karma.

If you allow your Karma to drop below zero, you are permanently flagged to other players. NPC’s will attack you when you try to enter town as well. If you continue to lose karma, at a maximum of one million, you can lose Magic Crystals or trade items from your inventory when another player kills you. You can take refuge in the desert, however, where other bandits have created sanctuaries free of petty laws.




There is one last area where you can attack any player, with no consequences. Small arenas reside near Capitals, and anyone who steps into its boundaries is automatically flagged for PvP. Dying in an arena has no negative consequences and a player can instantly resurrect at no cost. These serve as an ideal place for players to train their skills and practice for sieges.

Will you have what it takes!?

World bosses are challenging, and require a large group of players to ensure victory. Their rewards are worth the effort, however, as you will see! Let’s take look at a few of the World Bosses you can battle.



The Lord of Corruption, Kzarka, is said to have the destructive might of a god. He was sealed away centuries ago by an unknown sacred organization. During the turmoil of the war, a suspicious group took control of Kzarka’s Shrine, with the intent to resurrect him. Heidel has sent troops to retake the shrine, but every attempt has been met with failure.



Kzarka’s most powerful and deadly attack is his Breath. It can devastate large amounts of players, if you get caught in its path. When you defeat Kzarka, he has a chance to drop a Sealed Weapon Box, which you can open on any one character to receive a Kzarka weapon for your class.




This creature, shaped like a worm, is able to move only because an Ancient Shard embedded in it’s body functioned like a heart. It is said that Ancient Kutum used to live inside the Scarlet Sand Chamber, but when his heart fell silent, the doors sealed shut and the Chamber disappeared. Once again, however, the thunderous sound of Ancient Kutum’s heart has reopened the Scarlet Sand Chamber, allowing archaeologists and explorers to find its entrance.



Ancient Kutum will challenge you, testing your reflexes and adaptability. Dodge him while he burrows under the ground and speeds across his chamber, only to errupt from the ground, damage anyone close enough to his location. Kutum’s has an even more devastating attack, however, so be prepared! Much like Kzarka, Ancient Kutum has a chance to drop a Sealed Weapon Box. However, his weapon is a sub-weapon or offhand.





While Field Bosses do not require quite as many players as World Bosses, the fights can still be intense! There are several Field Bosses you can defeat, each offering rewards like Silver and Black Stones. In addition to these rewards, specific bosses have a chance to drop rare armor pieces.



This creature was created to purify Black Crystal and its origin is completely unknown. The Dim Tree Spirit is hostile toward unnatural beings, including humans, and prevents them from entering the forest. It is terrified by fire, however, and whenever a flame is present, the Dim Tree Spirit will wait quietly until the fire dies out.



The Dim Tree Spirit is a fearsome enemy, using his massive arm-like appendages to knock players down, and deliver lethal attacks if you are not able to dodge out of the way, or block them. If you are able to triumph, however, he has a chance to drop a special chest piece of high quality.




Donatt was once the Chief of Glish. No one is sure if his is alive or dead, and many people still consider him missing. He had a deep fascination with Alchemy, second only to his greed, which caused villagers to fear and avoid him. As time wore on, Donatt’s mind started to fade. He caused a horrible explosion and as he finally finished his descent into madness, offered his soul for the Black Crystal to consume. This changed Donatt into a grotesque monster, built from the corpses and debris found around Glish. The monster is now known as the Giant Mudster and rumors suggest he still resides in the ruins of Old Glish.



This gruesome creature will attempt to crush anyone who approaches him, however he has more sinister attacks. Beware the spikes he summons from the ground, and make sure to get out of their range if you want to survive. Even long range players have something to fear once Giant Mudster burrows into the ground. Once he finds his target, he will surge up from the ground, intent on their destruction.



Scroll bosses are smaller engagements that can be challenged by a single player, or a group. These scrolls are rewards from daily and weekly quests given to you by the Black Spirit. Right clicking the scroll will take you to the bosses location, where you can spawn it. Spawning the boss will automatically grant the summoner a quest for extra rewards like Black Stones and Hunter’s Seal exchange items.
