Black Desert - Black Desert Online

In Black Desert Online, Trading does not refer to exchanging items with fellow players. Instead, this is a Life Skill that allows you to buy and sell items called Trade Packs to Trade NPC’s. You can also get trade items from Gathering, Fishing and Crafting, just to name a few.

Each Trade Pack has an origin, letting you know where it came from or was crafted. The farther from the place of origin you sell your Trade Pack, the more profit you gain. To access this bonus, however, you must connect the nodes between the Trade Pack’s Origin and your destination.

In addition to the Distance Bonus, the Market Price is also important to trade. Selling the same Trade Packs to one Trader will cause the Market Price to drop as demand decreases.

Occasionally, you will encounter Trade Events at specific towns. This increases the Market Price of items by 200%, so make sure to keep your eyes open!

Buffs and Stat boosts are an essential part of any Adventurer’s arsenal, but shelling out hard won Silver might make anyone wary of using the Marketplace to stock up. Cooking and Alchemy allow you to craft what you need, but where to start?

To craft an item, you first need a recipe to follow. In Black Desert Online, you don’t have a recipe book that automatically adds new crafting items as you level. Cooperate with other players, or experiment on your own, to learn recipes for the items you want to craft.

Once you have your recipe prepared, you will need materials, and a crafting station to prepare them in. For Cooking, this is a Cooking Utensil, whereas Alchemy uses an Alchemy Tool. Just make sure that you only put in the exact number of materials from the recipe, or they will be destroyed!

Successfully completing a craft rewards you with bonus items that can be turned in for useful rewards, such as Silver and CP (Contribution Points), in addition to having a chance to produce higher quality versions of the crafted item.

In Black Desert Online, a wide array of quests are available for you to experience, which will help guide you on your adventures and grant unique rewards you can use to advance your character’s progression.

Depending on your interests, you can filter the quests you see while exploring Black Desert. You can also use your Quest Journal to see quests suggested for you or any recurring quests, so you can focus on what matters to you. Completing quests also gives you a special form of experience, called Contribution Experience.

Much like leveling, as you gain enough Contribution Experience, you will get Contribution Points (CP). These can be invested into housing, crafting stations, pieces of armor or jewelry, and so much more! Once you are finished using whatever you invested the CP in, you can reclaim those points and use them for something else.

Quests can also grant you special types of Knowledge, or lead you to NPC’s who will provide you with Knowledge in exchange for some of your Energy. As you learn more about NPC’s, locations and items in Black Desert Online, both your Knowledge and Energy will grow. Energy allows you to do more than just gain Knowledge, however. It’s also the main resource for gathering crafting materials.

Are you ready to reap your rewards?
