Period: January 6 (after maintenance)–February 3 (before maintenance)

• During the event period, level up a Nova character (both regular and Seasonal characters allowed) and reach the following levels to get rewards via the Challenges (Y) tab.
  • The event challenge can only be completed once per in-game family during the entire event period.

Event 1 Notice

• You can only participate in this event and claim rewards from the Challenges (Y) tab with a Nova character once per family during the event period.
  • If you have more than one Nova character, the Nova character that reaches the level challenges first will receive the challenge rewards.

Period: January 6 (after maintenance)–January 20 (before maintenance)

• During the event period, Steel Nux will swarm the entire world of Black Desert Online and spawn at random times and places! Interact with a Lost Nux to spawn a Steel Nux you can face off for bountiful rewards!
  
  
• First, you will get to meet a Lost Nux randomly with which you interact (R) with to call forth a Steel Nux of different levels by consuming different amounts of Energy.

• The more Energy you consume, the stronger Steel Nux you will get to battle with, which also means you will have a chance to obtain higher-tier rewards if you successfully defeat the stronger Steel Nux you spawn.
  
  
• Steel Nux will not appear in Valencia regions. Also, Steel Nux will not appear at sea or underwater regions.
  
  
• Steel Nux will appear in all servers except Arsha and Olvia servers.
  
  
• If you are in a Party, you cannot spawn the Steel Nux by interacting with the Lost Nux.
  
  
• Only the adventurer who spawns the relevant Steel Nux will be able to defeat it.
  
  
• Once you engage in combat with a Steel Nux, it will disappear 10 minutes after the combat starts. If unattacked, Steel Nux will despawn in 10 minutes.
  
  
• Only one Steel Nux will appear for an Adventurer at a time, and PvP will not be allowed once you engage in battle with the Steel Nux.
  
  
• You will not be able to spawn another Steel Nux even if you spend more Energy while you are in battle with a previously spawned Steel Nux.
  
  
• As Steel Nux spawns in Danger Zones, you may receive death penalty for being killed by it.
  
  
• Obtain random rewards from the following list upon defeating the Steel Nux:

• [Event] Nux's Fragment obtained from defeating a Steel Nux can be sold at NPC shops or be used in the event quest, [Event] Echoing Hammers.
  • This quest can be completed with a character at Lv.20 or above.
  • This quest is allowed once per in-game family.

• If you are already under the EXP boosts from the Mysterious Knight and you interact with him again, your EXP buff timer will be reset to 180 minutes. For example, if you had 50 minutes left on your boost, the timer will be reset to 180 minutes.
  
  
• Mysterious Knight will disappear 30 minutes after it spawns, regardless of whether you interact (R) with him or not.
  
  
• Mysterious Knight will appear in all servers including Olvia, Arsha, and Season Servers.

The story of High Priestess Echidna who led the abandoned children to the root of Quturan.

"The thorn is the gift bestowed by the goddess with eternity as its condition."

Echidna’s children armed themselves with weapons created with the thorns of Quturan
and slaughtered their enemies.
Records stated that the blood they spilled became nourishment for Quturan
and ushered in the glorious golden age of the ancient kingdom.
So I followed Echidna’s steps down into the dead root of Quturan.

"Only good children who overcome the trial can become the queen of thorns."

As I went in deeper, the smell of blood and something burning pierced my nose.
And with the smell Echidna’s whispers in my ear. Or was it just my imagination?
Then, when I opened my eyes again, I found myself soaked in cold sweat.
I do not remember how I escaped.
But father, I suddenly remembered the last night we saw stars together in Calpheon.

"Forgive my sins"
You said, as you handed me the golden key decorated with eagle wings.

"Forgive me for forcing you into eternal struggle."

This was the first and last time I saw tears in your eyes.
I didn’t understand, but your words felt so distant.
Thus, I buried the key deep into my heart.

"Axian, the King of the Dead"

The last king of the ancient kingdom bears the bloodstained crown even after death.
He waits for the Queen of Thorns to deliver his salvation.

Father, after the day I visited the root of Quturan following Echidna’s trail,
I reread the history of the ancient kingdom every time I had a nightmare.
I awaited the promised day when I gather the abandoned followers to form an army
and reclaim the throne as I plant the young branch of Quturan.

The girl I saw at the root of Quturan, whom I did not believe to be real, found me.

Nova gained a new form of power by making a pact with Axian, the King of the Dead, with the Thorn of Quturan.

Axian is a gigantic and ghastly undead creature with wings and horns. He was summoned by sacrificing Nova’s vitality and the Thornwood Guards to bring death to the land of the living.

Axian simultaneously attacks from the skies and taints the Morning Star in black to make it recover Nova’s HP and SP at the same time.

Nova can swiftly move across the battlefield more than ever as her Thornwood Guards bring destruction to anyone who defies her.

Nova is capable of exerting vast control over a large battlefield as she dominates her enemies through her command of Axian.



Nova in Succession continues to make most of her Morning Star and Quoratum to deliver heavy blows to her foes in a balanced combat style.

Her growth in strength can be especially seen in enhanced movement skills along with more diverse combos between skills.

However, the most notable development in Nova’s Succession can be seen in the summoning of her new guard "Axian”.

Axian can be summoned by sacrificing Nova’s Thornwood Guards and portions of her own HP. When commanded, Axian will accompany Nova in a joint attack just as the Thornwood Guards did.

Axian will recover Nova’s HP & SP whenever she uses a skill and it will also dive into a state of frenzy if it feels that Nova is in danger.


- Prime: King of the Dead
Summon Axian, the King of the Dead, by sacrificing Nova’s HP and her Thornwood Guards.
Axian brings in the chill of death into battle at the price of Nova’s HP.


- Prime: Entangling Icy Thorns
Create a circle of icy thorns to entangle Nova’s foes.
Axian emerges from the center to attack the tied down enemies.


- Prime: Fianchetto
Rip out the thrown morning star from the ground. Axian attacks the enemies that have been thrown into the air.


- Prime: Icy Prison
Nova commands pure destruction to Axian.
Axian summons the chill from the world of the undead to freeze her enemies.





Nova acquires Sting from the duel. This weapon was created with the thorn of Quturan and empowered by the distorted goddess. She wields it freely and slaughters her enemies with it.

Sting’s wielder can switch its form between a sharp sword and formidable scythe.

Sting in its sword form is a rapier-like weapon with quick piercing attacks, while her attacks in the scythe form are ring-shaped strikes making it difficult for enemies to predict her movement.

The Awakened Nova also acquires a special resource called "Star's Breath" when she successfully hits her enemies during combat. Once she has amassed the full extent of these resources, her skills are enhanced, allowing her to unleash faster and more powerful forms of her skills.

Be careful to not get mesmerized by the grand Queen of Thorns.



Awakened Nova switches gears to Sting, the thorn of Quturan that wraps around her arm and becomes her weapon.

Sting’s standard form is like a rapier, so many of her awakening skills revolve around Royal Fencing.

Additionally, Sting can transform into a formidable scythe, which enables her to hit a large area.

Awakened Nova’s major trait is "En Garde” and the incredible boost of speed it gives her.

She is able to stack “Star’s Breath” with every skill she uses. This resource can be used to enable “En Garde” to give her explosive speed.

When she enters “En Garde,” all her awakening skills are enhanced.

More importantly, she becomes extremely quick and pours out flashy attacks.

Quick and accurate thrusts of Sting.


Comet
Point Sting forward and dash in the direction to strike the enemy.


Starfall
Create countless blades of light then shoot them forward to deal astronomical damage.


Star's Ring
Summons a star by swinging the scythe around 3 times then throwing it.
Enemies near the star will not be able to move due to its gravity.

Winter Season, the third addition of season servers has arrived. Take a look at what's in store below!

As with previous season servers, go to the Create Character window, choose your character, and select Season Character to create a season character.

You must first have enough character creation slots of course, and you can create only one season character per Family. If you want to create another season character, you must delete the one you had previously created.




Unlike the regular servers, the season servers provide special buffs that will allow your season characters to level up more quickly.

Only season characters can enter the season servers. However, season characters can enter both regular and season servers. Starting from the same point as all other players, you will feel the excitement that a new seasonal content brings you once more.
Also, although the season server provides a Combat EXP increase buff as Olvia server does, this buff does not have any maximum level restrictions on the season server, allowing you to level up your season character incredibly fast.

After the December 22nd (Tues.) regular maintenance, there will be five season servers added just like during previous seasons.

Enjoy 4 Season servers for all adventurers!

• Enjoy the regular season servers and get tips from the other adventures who may have experienced season servers before.

Enjoy an exclusive season server for PvP-lovers!

• The PvP exclusive season server will offer you higher item drop rates! It's high risk, high return!

LEVELING AID BOXES

If you reach Lv. 10 with your season character, you will get a Leveling Aid Box as a Black Desert Season Pass challenge completion reward.
You receive more items from Leveling Aid Boxes as you level up your character.
Leveling Aid Boxes can be used up to Lv. 61.
Using a Leveling Aid Box will instantly grant you a Combat EXP +100% buff for 24 hours to help boost your character’s growth.
Other enhancement aid items and inventory slot expansion coupons are offered as well.

That's not all, Winter Season will offer boosted rewards for reaching level 60 and 61!


You can obtain the "[Season] Secret Book of the Misty Breeze'' from <Crow Merchants Guild Chief Manager> Fughar whenever you complete main quests for Balenos, Serendia, Calpheon, Mediah, Valencia, Grána, and Duvencrune.

Use the [Season] Secret Book of the Misty Breeze to get plenty of Skill EXP and grow your character by learning more powerful skills.




You can accept season exclusive quests from Fughar, one per Family.
Excluding accessories, if you equip 7 TRI (III) Tuvala gears, you will receive 7 Advice of Valks (+40), and if you equip 7 TET (IV) Tuvala gears, you will receive 7 Advice of Valks (+60).



Black Desert Season Pass challenge completion reward rewards (and Black Spirit Pass rewards in addition for those who have the pass) will also be available during the new Winter Season. Compared to the previous season, 10 more challenges were added for the Winter Season!

One of the new rewards offered this time around is the Old Moon Costume Box!
If you complete one of the challenges offered in the season pass, you can get one of the three new boxes: Old Moon Costume Box (Viper), Old Moon Costume Box (Swiftness), or Old Moon Costume Box (Valor).

Not only will these boxes contain a costume suitable for the class you open it with, but you can also heat the costumes to extract Ancient Spirit's Crystal - Viper, Ancient Spirit's Crystal - Swiftness, or Ancient Spirit's Crystal - Valor!



In addition, the [Season] Coco Leaf from the Autumn Season is no longer available. Instead for the Winter Season you will be able to get [Season] Morning Frostflowers!

Collect [Season] Morning Frostflowers by completing season pass challenges and from Leveling Aid Boxes to exchange for various items.

1. Once the Winter Season starts, log-in with your Season Character.
   
2. Complete the challenges listed on the Black Desert Season Pass available for Season Characters to receive many rewards. If you have a Black Spirit Pass in possession, you can get additional rewards for completing the same challenges.

• Rewards for completed season pass challenge rewards and Black Spirit Pass rewards can only be obtained once per family.
  • Any unused Black Spirit Pass will be deleted at the end of the Winter Season.
  • Season pass challenge rewards and Black Spirit Pass rewards can only be received during the event period. Please receive the rewards within the event period as they will not be available when the event is over.
  • You need to complete the challenges in sequence to complete and claim rewards for the next challenge.

As with the previous seasons, Season Characters will need to use season-exclusive Tuvala gear.

The Naru gear first introduced in the Autumn season was slightly weaker than Tuvala gear, but they can be obtained during your adventures from Balenos to Mediah.
Naru gear can also be enhanced with Beginner Black Stones and allow you to reach higher enhancement levels more easily compared to enhancing Tuvala gear.

How far did you get with enhancing Naru gear last time? If you want to aim higher this season, run over to <Crow Merchants Guild Chief Manager> Fughar now!

Show Fughar a Naru gear enhanced up to PEN (V) level and he will upgrade it to a Tuvala gear of PRI (I) level (of the same gear part) for you!

Don't forget Naru gear and Beginner Black Stones can be obtained in regular servers as well!






When you graduate, you can obtain a total of 13 Tuvala Conversion Stones which matches a full set of gear that allows you to convert the season-exclusive Tuvala gear to normal gear.
Keep in mind that using the Tuvala Conversion Stone will result in items that can no longer be enhanced.
Beware! Each Conversion Stone can only convert one Tuvala item. That’s why you need to be careful when choosing which Tuvala gear to convert for each gear slot! You don’t want to regret accidently converting a TET (IV) Tuvala Helmet instead of a PEN (V) one...
The converted Tuvala gear will retain their “Item Branding”, “PEN (V) Creator Name”, and “Transfused Crystals”.

Lastly, the converted Tuvala gear will be changed to Family bound and can be moved to and equipped by regular characters.


You can use the [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon you acquire during graduation on a converted Tuvala gear to exchange it for a Boss gear. However, you cannot use Tuvala gear which has a crystal inserted via transfusion for Boss gear exchange.
Only one [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon is given per Family and since you can convert only one of your Tuvala gear parts into a Boss gear, be careful before making the selection!
Tuvala gear used for [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon must be between PRI (I) and PEN (V).

Here are the boss gear that can be exchanged from a Tuvala gear using the [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon.



When you exchange a Tuvala gear for a Boss gear, it decreases the enhancement level by one.
Please refer to the table below for details.



Boss gear received via [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon will become Family bound and cannot be registered on the Central Market, but are available for enhancement and Caphras enhancement.


The Gift Box Full of Memories containing many beneficial items and conversion items for graduation will be offered once again for the Winter Season.
For Summer Season, PEN (V) Capotia accessories were offered and for Autumn Season, the Perilla's Star.
