PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS TEAM

Hello Survivors! 


How have you been? There’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that the zombies have returned, still longing for your blood. However, the good news is that you can outsmart the zombies by utilizing tactical items and cooperating with your team, so never let go of hope! 


LABS: Zombie Survival 2.0 has returned with even more hordes of zombies!


We hope you survive the zombie invasion with either expertise or beginner’s luck. 

• Zombie Survival has a total of 10 stages that last 3 minutes each.
• To get to the next stage:
  • Kill every zombie OR
  • At least one teammate stays alive until the very end.
• Once a stage is cleared, you and your squad will have a 20-second break before moving on to the next stage.
  • Teammates who died in the previous stage will respawn and continue to the next stage as well.
• The game will end as a Zombie Dinner if the entire squad gets wiped out.

• Zombies spawn once a stage starts.
• As you proceed along the stages, expect more zombies, stronger zombies, and even special types of zombies!
• The special zombies in Zombie Survival 2.0 are:
  • Zombies throwing Molotov Cocktails,
  • Zombies throwing Blue Zone Grenades,
  • Zombies holding grenades in their mouths (can only be killed by headshots),
  • And zombies with C4 attached to their bodies.

• SURVIVAL COINS
  
  • Earn Survival Coins by taking down zombies.
  • The Survival Coins are stored in your inventory (Max. 999).
  • Players cannot drop Survival Coins.
  • Players who die and respawn for the next stage will have the amount of Survival Coins they had before they died.
• EQUIPMENT
  
  • The basic set of equipment each player starts out with is:
    • Deagle
    • 60EA .45 ACP
    • Backpack (Level 3)
    • 1 Grenade
    • Anti-Zombie Table Leg
      • You can gain additional Survival Coins when you take down zombies with the Anti-Zombie Table Leg
  • Purchase various tactical items through your inventory with Survival Coins.
  • Stronger weapons cost more Survival Coins.

  • There are tactical items in Zombie Survival 2.0 such as:
    • Traps to temporarily stop zombies from moving,
    • Sticky Traps and Sticky Chemicals to temporarily slow down zombies,
    • Zombie Stun Grenades to stun zombies,
    • Healing Chemicals to heal you and your team,
    • Zombie C4, Can Bombs, Zombie Blue Zone Grenades, and Anti-Zombie Chemicals

• Scores are cumulated by taking down zombies.
• Check your current score anytime during the game by pressing the world map.
• You and your teammates’ final scores will be shown after the game.

The bugs fixed for this year’s Zombie Survival 2.0 are as below.

• The issue where the player coming in first place is not shown on the spectator’s screen
• The issue where it says the stage is already cleared when you enter the waiting screen after completing a certain stage
• The issue where one can levitate to inaccessible areas from certain areas
• The issue where the visual effect is not visible when throwing Sticky Chemicals on the floor

The current LABS started off as a system in which players can experience various experimental features and modes of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Until now, we have operated various modes through LABS, but since LABS was originally developed for testing purposes, the current LABS service is limited to only one mode at a time. Therefore, when there is a new LABS mode in service, the previous LABS mode will be closed, which means that Intense Battle Royale mode will not be serviced during the service period of LABS: Zombie Survival 2.0. Intense Battle Royale will, however, return after Zombie Survival 2.0.


The good news is that as many players have been wanting to play Intense Battle Royale in FPP, FPP will be available for Intense Battle Royale in Custom Matches starting this month.


LABS and Arcade, both of which currently service modes, will be merged during the second half of this year. The Arcade will then be expanded to service multiple modes simultaneously. We are also considering making Intense Battle Royale available in the Arcade after the reorganization. Stay tuned for the changes since there is a chance we might add FPP to Intense Battle Royale when you see it in the Arcade!

Deston is returning to Random Map regions this update! For every rotation, we try our best to base each of our decisions on map popularity rates, dodge rates, surveys, etc., but we’ve been receiving feedback that the extraction of certain maps from the random map pool was upsetting several players who enjoyed playing maps that were excluded from a rotation. Therefore, we’ve decided to implement your feedback by placing Deston back to the random map pool and taking Taego out for a bit.


Also, we can’t say much now, but we are planning a change to the map rotation system based on all your feedback sometime this year. With this update, every player from every region will be able to meet various maps at a faster pace. Until then, enjoy the return of Deston and Karakin this update!

Would you perhaps remember LABS: Thermal Scope Mode, where you had to fight in darkness using only infrared rays? Well we’ve collected your opinions based on our previous experimental mode and decided to add the popular feature to the snowy grounds: detect snooping players with the new THERMAL 4X SCOPE! (Shouldn’t it be your best friend in Moonlight weather?)

• The Thermal Scope utilizes heat signatures to help you detect obscured enemies more easily.
  • This includes enemies hiding in smoke, darkness, brush, etc.
• The Thermal Scope is a world spawn item.
• Available modes
  • Only available in Vikendi.
  • Training Mode, Normal Matches, Custom Matches
    • (PC) Available on every map through Sandbox Mode.

• Supply Drops have been added to Vikendi caves.
• To make the recently added natural disasters a bit more realistic, smoke and flame from throwables such as Smoke Grenades, Molotov, etc. will no longer work properly within the Blizzard Zone.
  • Players who are caught on fire will also not receive damage within the Blizzard Zone.
    • However, you will still receive initial damage when your body is hit with the Molotov.
• We’ve noticed the friendly Folded Shields seemed a bit too hidden in the snow. We’re digging them out by increasing their spawn rate by approximately 172%.
• Item spawn spots have been increased in Train Station, Villa, Castle, and Winery to further richen looting experience in various parts of Vikendi.

• Adjusted footstep and weapon sounds of the surface/underground so they sound more distinct from each other.

• Weapon Balance
  • We’ll be balancing the Mk12 a bit this update. Our graphs on weapon loot rate, kill rate, etc. were showing us Mk12’s overperformance over its other DMR fellows. Therefore, we’ve decided to go ahead with some healthy balance changes and made sure to adjust the Mk12 so that it’ll still remain a helpful, hard-hitting weapon but not outshining other options too much.
    • Damage: 51 -> 50
    • Initial Bullet Speed: 930m/s -> 900m/s
    • Recoil recovery: Reduced by approximately 6%.
    • Recoil speed: Increased by approximately 2%.
• Weapon spawn balance
  • We have adjusted the general spawn rates of 5.56mm and 7.62mm weapons (AR, DMR, LMG only) to have them share similar spawn rates, and to provide more primary weapon options to our players.
    • This spawn balance applies to every map and mode.
• Vehicle adjustments
  • Zima has been slightly sized up.
  • Vehicle models with open roofs such as the UAZ, Mirado, and Pickup Truck have been removed as they made drivers/passengers a bit too vulnerable.
  • Dacia and UAZ will now spawn in Taego.
  • Trunks have been added to Pickup Trucks and UAZ.

We’d like to add a few extra words about the removal of UAZ, Mirado, and Pickup Truck’s roof-less models. As we have released and balanced many of our existing vehicles, we’ve noticed specific vehicle models and types needed some tidying up. So we’ve decided to stick to a single model only for the UAZ, Mirado, and Pickup Truck and keep their roofs on for better cover.

• (Console) We are looking into the issue where the sounds of vehicles and certain weapons do not play on the Xbox platform. Sound optimizations are ongoing and will be reflected in Update 22.1 and 22.2.

A new challenging Season of Ranked – Season 22 has arrived this update.

• The leaderboard will reset after the Live Server maintenance.
• Check out your final Tier from the previous season through your Career page.

Below are the rewards you’ll be receiving based on your final Tier from the previous Ranked season.

We’ve simplified several factors to reduce play time by a bunch – looting, long-distance traveling, number of enemies, and more. With these factors minimized, players will be able to focus more on the usual battle royale’s late-game intensity right off the bat and aim for the top among the other squads.


WE’VE UTILIZED THE CURRENT BATTLE ROYALE SYSTEM TO CREATE A CONTINUOUS ADRENALINE RUSH IN INTENSE BATTLE ROYALE. SINCE THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE IMPROVEMENTS IN THIS NEW MODE, WE’LL BE ACTIVELY MONITORING AND IMPLEMENTING YOUR FEEDBACK SO THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO PROVIDE AN ENJOYABLE GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE. • MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STARTING PLAYERS: 16
• MAP: Designated areas of either Erangel, Miramar, Taego, or Deston.
• SAFE ZONE: Starts out with a similar size of the Normal Match’s Phase 3 circle.
  • Be warned, the number of players may cause the Safe Zone to be restricted faster!
• PLANE: Players will automatically drop from the plane once the plane reaches the edge of the Safe Zone.
• Specific Zones such as the Red Zone, Blizzard Zone, etc. will NOT be activated.
• The balance adjustments for weapons/vehicles/maps in Normal Matches will apply to this mode.

• STARTING ITEMS
  
  • Armor and equipment: Helmet (Level 2), Vest (Level 2), Backpack (Level 3)
  • Weapons: An AR, SMG, and DMR/SR weapon crates will be available in your Inventory. Open the crates to receive random weapons of each type.
  • Throwables: Smoke Grenades, Stun Grenades, Frag Grenades, Molotov
  • Heal/Boost items: First Aid Kit, Energy Drink, Painkiller, Bandage
• VEHICLES will randomly spawn.
• CARE PACKAGES will be dropped throughout the match.
• SUPPLY DROPS holding random items will also spawn on the map.

Intense Battle Royale will be available through the LABS banner in the lobby during the period below. INTENSE BATTLE ROYALE WILL REGULARLY MAKE ITS COMEBACK THROUGH LABS EVEN AFTER ITS FIRST SERVICE PERIOD, SO STAY TUNED!

• You can receive the rewards only once per account.
• Please make sure to participate within the event period to receive rewards.
• Matches played by abusing an unexpected in-game bug and/or through other unfair methods will not be counted.
