LABS is where we experiment with unique and often wholly new PUBG experiences, and this time around is no different. Futsal Mode is all about soccer, with a side of combat, and players who score the most goals will transform into soccer superstar, Premier League player "Sonny" Heung-Min Son!
The Futsal Field has different areas with buffs and weapon spawns, so each player has their own role and place in the team.
Read on for full gameplay details.
Futsal Field
Play Zone The Buff Zone is created and spawns weapons on a regular basis. When a player enters the Buff Zone, that player consumes the buff automatically.
Make sure to keep an eye out for spawned weapons in Buff Zones, pick them up, and attack your enemies while you fight your way to victory.
Buff Area spawn intervals: 30 seconds
Buff types
Gain 50 HP
1.2x movement speed increase for 15 seconds.
Weapon types
Frying Pan
Sickle
Machete
Crowbar
Sawed-Off + 12 Gauge x2 (spawns at a lower rate but once equipped, it's a surefire way to knock down your opponents)
Penalty Zone The Penalty Zone plays an important role, as it's both a respawn area and spawns the Shield used to protect your goal.
Respawns
After death, players respawn in the Penalty Zone and are invincible for three seconds. Players cannot move out of the zone until the invincibility has worn off.
The Shield
When a player equipped with the Shield moves out of the Penalty Zone the Shield disappears and a new Shield spawns in the Penalty Zone.
Match Rules
Victory Conditions
The team to score more goals by the end of the match will claim victory.
Tied Score
In the event of a tie, the match will enter overtime. If scores remain tied after overtime, the winner will be decided by most kills or the team with the MVP.
Format
Matches will be played in two five-minute halves, with three minutes of overtime being played automatically if the score is tied after regular time.
Matches have 5 seconds of preparation time prior to kick-off
Service Schedule
This round of LABS: Futsal Mode will be open during the following period:

FAQ
How can players control the ball?
Move towards the ball and make contact to dribble.
The faster you're moving when you make contact, the further the ball will go. Try sprinting at the ball when you want to shoot or make a long pass.
You can use melee attacks such as punching to attack opponents.
Are there fouls?
No. Feel free to use aggression with your enemies whilst trying to take possession.
There are no offsides, lineouts, or handling fouls. Do whatever you want and can to secure the win!
Is there a goalie?
We provide a Shield so that one player from each team can defend their goal.
The Shield covers a large area and can also be used to push away your opponents! Try to take advantage of this feature when defending.
The Shield can be equipped and used only within the penalty area. If you cross the penality line with the Shield equipped, it'll be unequipped automatically.
How do you become Son Heung-min?!
The player who scores the most goals during the match can transform into "Sonny", the superhero.
For male characters, Son's face, hair, and uniform are applied. For female characters, face and hair remain the same.
If someone else takes the lead, they will then become Son Heung-min.
Once you transform into Son, you benefit from a full boost with an extra speed increase until the end of the match.
Notes When Playing in LABS

After weeks of fierce competition on the Battlegrounds, the Season 12 Ranked Season is soon coming to an end, with just a few short weeks remaining. Drop in, gear up, and secure those rewards!
Ranked rewards will be distributed to all eligible players on August 4th on PC and August 12th on Consoles once server maintenance is complete. Read on for full details on the Season 12 Ranked rewards.
HONOR BASED REWARDS
Since Ranked Season 11, additional focus was placed on your most recent Ranked achievements, with honor-based rewards such as nameplates and emblems now only available to display for the duration of the new season.
We hope this encourages players to continue their ranked progression while also adding a little more prestige to those hard-earned rewards each season.
Ranked in-game cosmetics, such as parachute skins, etc., will remain available to use throughout all seasons.
Players who reach the highest ranks will receive additional rewards, such as animated nameplates and emblems to make the grind just a little sweeter.
At the beginning of Season 13, all eligible players will be granted their Season 12 rewards, including nameplates/emblems available for the duration of the season.
Honor-based rewards from Season 12 will be removed from the inventory with the start of next season.
SEASON 12 RANKED MODE REWARDS
Ranked rewards are granted based on your rank at season end. Players who reach at least Gold V will receive the Season 12 Ranked Parachute skin!
Those who fight their way to Platinum or higher will also be rewarded with a unique Animated Emblem. Master or higher players will also receive an Animated Nameplate.
The Top 500 players from each region will receive a unique Top 500 Animated Emblem and Animated Nameplate to show their status as world-beaters. Top 500 players will be displayed in-game on the LEADERBOARD.
Finally, view all your Season 12 Rankedstats by checking out the STATS screen under the CAREER tab in-game once the season wraps up.
SEASON 12 EMBLEM & NAMEPLATES
Players who played at least 10 Ranked Matches will earn an emblem and nameplate matching their end-of-season rank.
Platinum Tier and above receive an Animated Ranked Emblem.
Master Tier and above receive an Animated Nameplate.
Top 500 players are rewarded with a Unique Animated Emblem and Nameplate.
Honor-based emblems will now be shown on your PUBG ID and displayed to enemies when you successfully take them out. Emblems will also be visible in the Death Cam and to spectators.
SEASON 12 SKIN
Players Gold V and above will receive an exclusive Season 12 Ranked Parachute Skin.
UPCOMING RANKED SCHEDULES: SEASON 13
Season 12 Ranked Mode will end once servers go into maintenance on August 4th KST (PC) / August 12th KST (Console).
Season 13 Ranked Mode will begin when servers go live with the live server update next month.
HOW WILL MY REWARDS BE DELIVERED?
All rewards are granted automatically at the beginning of the new season. You may collect them from the pop-up screen shown upon your first log-in of the new season.
CHANGES IN RANKED SEASON 13
If a player with 3,000 RP does not play Ranked for seven days or more, RP and tier demotion will begin, and changes to the demotion standards will occur. Previously, after reaching the Diamond tier or higher at least once during the season, players could maintain their tier and receive high honor rewards without participating in Ranked matches. The purpose of Ranked is to check and improve your skills by constantly competing with others, even if you lose and your RP. Reaching a high tier and obtaining rewards without participating in Ranked is far against the intention of Ranked, which is why we came up with this decision.
Ranked Season 12
3,000 RP is the lower limit of demotion.
You can maintain Diamond Rank even if you don’t play Ranked for seven days or more.
Ranked Season 13
RP demotion goes below 3,000 RP.
Players with Diamond tier or higher will be deducted 100 RP per day if they do not play Ranked at least once a week.
100 RP deduction per day continues until the player plays Ranked. It stops when it goes below 3,000 RP. This means the deduction stops when you reach Platinum I.
Diamond tier cannot be maintained if not participated in Ranked for seven days or more.

PUBG began with the iconic 8x8 map Erangel; today, with Update 12.2 we're excited to release our newest 8x8 map: Taego.
Taego has diverse terrain and environments, with numerous towns, compounds, and unique points of interest across the Battleground. Be on the lookout for wildlife, with flocks of birds reacting to player movement and gunfire, giving you a potential early sign of danger ahead. Comeback BR and the Self AED are two new gameplay features exclusive to Taego, giving players a chance to get back into the fight.
Read on for full details.
New Map: Taego
Taego is available as the Featured Map.
Playable in TPP and FPP.
Solo and Squads, including 1-man Squad Modes are available.
Duos are not available.
Depending on your region, available modes and perspectives will vary.
Up to 100 players.
Bots can spawn.
Clear weather.
No Red Zone.
Wildlife: Two friendly bird varieties reside throughout Taego, reacting to player movement and gunfire.
Taego is available in Custom Matches.
Sandbox Mode is available for PUBG Partners.
Comeback BR
Comeback BR is a Taego exclusive second-chance mechanic allowing players who die during the first Blue Zone phase the chance to drop back into the fight later in the match.
Players who die during the first Blue Zone phase battle it out in the Comeback Arena, a location separate from the main Taego Battleground. Survivors who remain alive long enough in the Comeback Arena are transported by helicopter back to the Taego mainland in phase 3 to resume their fight for the Chicken Dinner.
Comeback BR is exclusive to Taego Squad matches.
Players who die before the first Blue Zone phase ends are eligible and see a timer indicating when Comeback BR begins.
At least one Squad member must be alive on the Battlegrounds for teammates to remain eligible to enter Comeback BR.
All eligible participants are sent simultaneously to the Comeback Arena, separate from the main fight, and must find loot and items to stay alive, competing against other survivors.
There are no bots or knockdowns in Comeback BR.
Survive the timer indicated while fighting in the Comeback Arena, and you'll be transported back to the Taego mainland via helicopter with all your items and gear to continue your fight for the Chicken Dinner.
While health and boost levels are reset upon returning to the fight, your kills and stats are still recorded.
Self AED
Similar to Comeback BR, the Self AED is another Taego exclusive second-chance mechanic, giving players another opportunity to stay in the fight. The Self AED is a world-loot item that allows players to revive themselves when DBNO, without the need of a teammate, and can be used in Solo and Squad matches.
Press the interact button or click the Self AED in your inventory to activate the self-revive.
Cannot be canceled once started.
Cannot be used while already being revived by another teammate.
Squads: The Self AED can be used even if your entire Squad is DBNO, as a teammate holding the Self AED prevents your Squad from being immediately eliminated.
This gives you chance to self-revive and then revive your teammates.
If the whole Squad remains DBNO, you will be eliminated once all players with a Self AED are killed.
Solo: Having a Self AED allows you to enter DBNO instead of being instantly killed.
Self AED uses are recorded as revives in your stats.
New Weapons
K2
Introducing the K2; a world-spawn 5.56mm caliber AR popularized in the 80s and 90s era of which Taego is born. Firing in single, burst, or full-auto for combat versatility. Only available on Taego in Normal and Custom Matches.
Mk12
The Mk12 is a new hard-hitting, high-velocity 5.56mm caliber DMR exclusive to Taego, found as world-loot across the map in Normal and Custom Matches.
New Vehicle: Pony Coupe
Hyundai's first concept car, the Pony Coupe, has arrived in PUBG and is exclusive to Taego! Drive Hyundai's heritage Pony Coupe, featuring an all-wheel drive design for enhanced control across the diverse terrain of the Battlegrounds.
The Pony Coupe design was created by the master of automotive design, Giorgetto Giugiaro, and is a coupe concept car that first premiered at the Turin Motor Show in 1974. The next-generation electric vehicle model IONIQ5 was designed with a lot of inspiration from the Pony Coupe.
Maximum HP: 1,000
Maximum Speed: 150 km/h
The all-wheel-drive (AWD) system ensures maximum traction in rough conditions.
While being a 4-seater vehicle, due to the characteristics of a coupe, passengers in the back seats cannot shoot out of the vehicle.
We've made multiple changes to the Survivor Pass system this update, including adding bonus rewards for those players who play past level 50. Read on for full details.
Level-up tickets can be purchased in units of 1 level on the Survivor Pass page after upgrading the Survivor Pass to Premium.

After reaching level 50, you can only level up with XP obtained through missions or gameplay.
We have prepared a bonus reward for players who have reached level 50.
Players who have reached level 50 and upgraded the Survivor Pass to Premium can further level up and receive bonus rewards such as medals, emblems, and G-Coin.
Keep playing until the Survivor Pass ends to earn all your bonus rewards.
Make sure to claim all rewards before Survivor Pass: Taego wraps up, as there is no additional grace period to claim rewards.
