First off, thank you for all your great feedback on our last LABS offering. We’re thrilled that so many of you enjoyed Arena mode and the tactical team fun it provided. For our next LABS mode, we’re trying something a little more hardcore.
Introducing, Hardcore BR. PUBG Battleroyale thrives on its realism, but still provides several types of helpful UI to help you towards your chicken dinner. Hardcore BR tests your true mettle by removing much of the UI you’d normally rely on from the game.
In Hardcore BR, you and your squad will take to the frozen fields of Vikendi. Your compass, minimap, crosshair, and status ui (health, boost bar, equipment status, etc), as well as bluezone warnings will all be disabled. You will still be able to see the kill feed, remaining players, team UI, and parachute related UI.
We hope Hardcore BR provides a fun and challenging new experience, where teams are forced to rely on alternative methods of communication to track down and eliminate enemies. Teamwork and communication will be absolutely essential here.
We’re excited to see how you all adapt to this challenging way to play and look forward to hearing your feedback. Check out all the details below and get ready for some Hardcore BR!

With Season 9 also comes a brand new Ranked Season with the much-requested Solo Ranked Mode! Now, you can drop into the Ranked Battlegrounds and test your skills against solo opponents and you climb the ladder to glory.

Speaking of rewards, Survivor Pass: Highlands has the gear you need to take on Paramo in style! Pick up Survivor Pass: Highlands today and get leveling!
For full details on Update 9.1, you can check out our patch notes. For now, grab your squad and drop into the highlands!
Cradled hidden among the clouds in the highlands of South America lies Paramo, an ancient land with ancient secrets. Paramo's dangers are plentiful, but none so dangerous as the active volcano nearby whose molten lava streams flow across the land. Survivors dropping onto the Paramo Battlegrounds will only be able to reach the highlands via helicopter, which also have the task of distributing Care Packages around the field.
Paramo is a 3x3 map with a dynamic world new to PUBG. This dynamic world system alters locations between matches, making every trip to Paramo a unique experience.
Read on for the full details!

Due to our new Dynamic Map Locations system, Paramo will be provided as a Seasonal Match separate from current matchmaking pool.
Paramo is provided as a Seasonal Match exclusive for Season 9 only.
Seasonal Match will have bots disabled.
Seasonal Match will not count for your Career > Stats.
Seasonal Match will have the Battlestat feature disabled.

64 Players
TPP & FPP Squads Only
No Red Zones
The Blue Zone shrinks slowly, but deals more damage compared to other maps, even in the early phases of the match.
Motorcycles are the only vehicle available on Paramo and can usually be found near small villages.
Paramo: New Features
Dynamic Map Locations
Major landmarks and parts of terrain are relocated in every new session.
Players must adapt and use suitable strategies and tactics according to the changes.
Several streams of lava flow from active volcanoes throughout Paramo, presenting a unique environment hazard as you traverse across the map.
Stepping foot in lava can lead to a quick death, dealing 10 damage per second to players, ticking every half second.
Riding a Motorcycle into lava will destroy your tires and quickly begin to destroy the vehicle, whilst also dealing damage to the player.
Unlike other maps, players can wander outside the bounds of the playable area and a warning will display on screen. Failure to quickly return to the playable area will result in you being killed.
New item boxes can now spawn in certain houses.
Destroy the boxes to find multiple pieces of loot, such as ammo, throwables, and healing items.
Players will drop into the Battleground of Paramo from helicopters.
During the match, these helicopters carry precious cargo across the map, with the plan of dropping it just outside the play area. Pay close attention and if you shoot enough rounds into a helicopter, you'll force it to release the cargo early.
Paramo has a handful of Care Packages exclusive, highland themed items not found on other maps, including new full-body camo suits, ghillie suit and backpack.
With a critical response kit in your inventory, you will be able to revive a downed squad member in just one second.
In Paramo, you might find a 'Secret Room Key' while looting.. it’s gotta unlock something, right?

Currently, you’re forced to make individual cash purchases each time you want to pick up something from the store. With G-Coin, you’ll be able to make a single purchase to add funds to our in-game wallet. From there, buying the items you want is easy and you’ll be spending less time going through confirmations. In this letter, we wanted to take a quick look at G-Coin, how you get it, and some other benefits of the system.
G-Coin can be purchased in the new G-Coin tab in the Store. You’ll use Steam Wallet funds to make the purchase, but from there, purchases in PUBG will deduct from your G-Coin balance.
G-Coin packages are available in quantities ranging from 100 to 10,000. Depending on the package you choose, you’ll be able to earn bonus currency, allowing you to essentially give yourself a discount on things you buy. You can get up to $12 in bonus G-Coin depending on the package you buy, so stock up and save!
You can always check your G-Coin balance in the upper right corner of the lobby.
Bonus G-Coin is awarded upon purchase of an eligible G-Coin package.
As of Update 9.1, G-Coin is the only way that you can purchase items in the PUBG store.
Now that we’ve covered the technical stuff, let’s talk about the benefits of what G-Coin allows us to do.
First of all, it gives our teams much more flexibility with rewards. Not only can we offer you bonus G-Coin for making bigger purchases, but we can also use it as a reward directly to players. For example, in this Season 9 survivor pass, you will be able to achieve G-Coins as you climb up the level. Moreover, G-Coin has opened us to a broader window of usage which all are still in the planning stage but we'll have more information about what we settle on in the future.
One more small perk for our Test Server users is that we can now give you G-Coin there to buy store items with. In fact, we already have! Test Server users should log in to find 10,000 G-Coin in their wallets. Gone are the days where Test Server meant bland, boring characters! Sure, this helps us test new items in-game as well but hey, perks are perks.
One last thing, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out the obvious and say that any attempts to alter, forge, cheat, or otherwise defraud the G-Coin system will be met with strong penalties, including a permanent ban from the game. The good news is it’s super easy to not do any of that.
G-Coin has been in place on consoles for a while now, so we don’t anticipate many issues adding it to PC, but if you do encounter any please be sure to submit a ticket to Customer Support so that we can get it taken care of as soon as possible.

Hello Battlegrounds Enthusiasts,
This week we’re bringing you something new that combines intense PUBG gunplay with the tactics of an arena shooter. We call this LABS experiment Arena Mode.
Arena Mode is a 64 person, squad-based match that drops you into one of several sectioned-off zones on Erangel, Miramar, or Sanhok. You’ll fight it out with up to two other squads to claim victory in your arena. Should you lose, your team will lose one of its 3 chances, which eliminates you once they’re gone. Claim victory, and move onto the next round with a stronger position than those who failed. When 3 or fewer squads remain, they’ll enter a Sudden Death arena where the winner takes all, regardless of how many chances you have left.
Arena mode has some other differences from a normal match as well. The biggest of which is that weapons do not spawn in the world. Instead, you will need to use currency that you earn by eliminating other players to purchase your arsenal through the Loadout menu (PC: L key, Console: Map key(System menu/Touch pad) by default). Knocked allies can also be revived in 5 seconds, which is important for maintaining your advantage in such small, intense fights.
Surviving the Arena means teamwork and smart tactical decisions. From matching your loadout to the terrain you’re in, to watching each other’s backs until you’ve got eyes on your enemies, to coordinating your attack, Arena Mode is sure to test your teamwork and communication skills.
Here’s a quick breakdown of all the rules:
Rules
In each round, 2-3 squads will dive into a random, sectioned-off area.
Each squad starts with 3 chances and will be eliminated once those chances are lost.
When 3 or fewer squads remain, they are placed into a sudden death round where the winner takes the chicken, regardless of how many chances each squad has left.
There are no world spawn weapons. You will earn points during each round that can be used to purchase weapons from the Loadout menu (PC: L key, Console: Map key(System menu/Touch pad)).
Other items, such as attachments, helmets and vests, still spawn across the map.
Game Settings
