After weeks of fierce competition on the Battlegrounds, the Season 11 Ranked Season is soon coming to an end, with just a few short weeks remaining. Drop in, gear up, and secure those rewards!
Ranked rewards will be distributed to all eligible players on July 2nd, once server maintenance is complete. Read on for full details on the Season 11 Ranked rewards.
Honor Based Rewards
An additional focus is being placed on your most recent Ranked achievements, with honor-based rewards such as nameplates and emblems now only available to display for the duration of the new season.
We hope this change encourages players to continue their ranked progression while also adding a little more prestige to those hard-earned rewards each season.
Ranked in-game cosmetics, such as parachute skins, etc., will remain available to use throughout all seasons.
Players who reach the highest ranks will receive additional rewards, such as animated nameplates and emblems to make the grind just a little sweeter.
At the beginning of Season 12, all eligible players will be granted their Season 11 rewards, including nameplates/emblems available for the duration of the season.
Honor-based rewards from Season 11 will be removed at the start of next season.
Season 11 Ranked Mode Rewards
Ranked rewards are granted based on your rank at season end. Players who reach at least Gold V will receive the Season 11 Ranked Parachute skin!
Those who fight their way to Platinum or higher will also be rewarded with a unique Animated Emblem. Master or higher players will also receive an Animated Nameplate.
The Top 500 players from each region will receive a unique Top 500 Animated Emblem and Animated Nameplate to show their status as world-beaters. Top 500 players will be displayed in-game on the LEADERBOARD.
Finally, view all your Season 11 Ranked stats by checking out the STATS screen under the CAREER tab in-game once the season wraps up.
Season 11 Emblem & Nameplates
Players who played at least 10 Ranked Matches will earn an emblem and nameplate matching their end-of-season rank.
Platinum Tier and above receive an Animated Ranked Emblem.
Master Tier and above receive an Animated Nameplate.
Top 500 players are rewarded with a Unique Animated Emblem and Nameplate.
Honor-based emblems will now be shown on your PUBG ID and displayed to enemies when you successfully take them out. Emblems will also be visible in the Death Cam and to spectators.
Season 11 Skin
Players Gold V and above will receive an exclusive Season 11 Ranked Parachute Skin.
Ranked Schedule
Season 11 Ranked Mode will end once servers go into maintenance on June 2nd KST (PC) / June 10th KST (Console).
Season 12 Ranked Mode will begin when servers go live with the live server update next month.
How will my Rewards be Delivered?
All rewards are granted automatically at the beginning of the new season. You may collect them from the pop-up screen shown upon your first log-in of the new season.
We received quite a bit of feedback following our announcement of the newly-introduced 2021 PCS ruleset. Your passion and honesty are always greatly appreciated and we want to continue the discussion regarding the concerns many of you had. Our goal with the changes is to elevate PUBG Esports for both the competitor and the viewer, so we’d like to take some time to talk about the update in a little more detail.
What you play is what you watch
Our aim with the updated ruleset is to bring PUBG Esports closer in line with the BattleRoyale gameplay experience. Winning is everything - whether you’re a solo, duos, or squads player, the Chicken Dinner is always the ultimate prize.
While the previous S.U.P.E.R. settings helped to establish a strong foundation for the competitive community by reducing some of the game’s more unpredictable elements, over time it has seen us move further away from the core concepts and objectives of Battle Royale. We’re eager to reduce the gap between what PUBG fans play, and what they watch.
There is something to be said about the sheer excitement that happens when a team wins a match. With the WWCD rules during PGI.S, we experienced many thrilling and adrenaline pumping moments throughout the tournament, and we want to maintain this feeling through future events.
How it Works
No change to the rules can be made without taking every step to maintain the element of fairness for our professional players.
Under the revised ruleset, some teams may be required to rethink their strategies and tactics, but across an increased number of matches per event, everyone will have a shot at earning a win. We’re raising the number of Grand Finals games played from 24 in PCS 2020 to 36 in PCS 2021.
Just like before, PCS events will host matches two days a week over a three week period - that means six match days in total. However, the following changes will be applied this time around:
Each day will have six matches, increased from four, leading to 12 matches per week and 36 matches in total.
Every week will be an individual league with prize money awarded to the top eight squads.
The team with the highest amount of prize money at the end of the tournament will be crowned champions.
Each team faces the same challenge at the start of a match: be the last squad standing. And to be champions, they’ll need to prove that they have the mettle to capture Chicken Dinners consistently throughout the event.
Earn to win
As explained above, the top teams will earn prize money across three competition weeks. There’s $70,000 USD on the line each week, with an extra $20,000 reserved for the series winner.
Kill points will still play an important factor in the new system, as equally matched teams will be separated by their kills. It will be the key factor in deciding the final rank. The deadliest player will even receive a bonus award! We’ll have more details on these soon, so stay tuned.
Keep the feedback coming
We know that this new direction is a big shift from the current ruleset, and we understand the concerns shared so far. But as we look to grow PUBG Esports through 2021 and beyond, we’re excited to revisit the core elements that make Battle Royale such a fun and unique genre to watch as well as play, and we’ll be listening to your feedback as we journey to the PUBG Global Championship.
As always, our sincerest thanks to all the PUBG esports fans out there for your love and enthusiasm. We’ll be back soon with more information on PCS4!
This round of PUBG LABS utilizes two different gameplay changes to create a frantic experience for squads on Paramo. The first of which is a 500% damage increase across the board for all weapons and throwables in order to create a one-shot-kill scenario. But fear not, though dying may be easy, so is getting back into the game!
In Respawn Royale, your defeated squadmates will automatically rejoin the fight after their 100 second death timer has counted down. All you need to do is stay alive as a squad until that happens! If at least 1 squad member is still standing when a player’s death timer completes, they will rejoin the fight but be careful - if your squad is wiped completely, you’ll all be eliminated from the match.
Respawn Royale takes place on Paramo with you and up to 7 other squads. To help keep the focus on the action, we’ve also eliminated weapon looting and added the choice of three different spawn kits. This kit can be changed each time you respawn, so keep an eye on the situation your remaining team members find themselves in. The Blue Zone will also still function as normal, so keep on the move!
Weapon Damage
In Respawn Royale, the damage of firearms, melee weapons, and throwables are increased by 500% in order to provide a one-shot one-kill experience.

PUBG Update 11.2 has just dropped, bringing new changes to Erangel's infamous bridges, a new Survivor Pass, balance changes to recoil while riding in a vehicle and more!
First up, you'll notice Erangel's bridges to Sosnovka Island looking a bit different this update. Bridges have been slightly widened, had their cover layout changed slightly, and now have new catwalks to give players more options for engaging or avoiding bridge encounters.
Our new Survivor Pass embraces the outfits we've lived in this pandemic year and brings them to the Battlegrounds with Survivor Pass: Pajama Party. Pick up your pass and start unlocking your favorite work-from-home attire today!
Firing from vehicles has gotten a bit more challenging this update, with a 10% increase to recoil. The goal is to make driveby attacks a bit more difficult, but we'll continue to monitor success rates to see if we need to adjust it any more either way.
PUBG Labs is also launching a new game mode with this update! In Respawn Royale, every shot is lethal but death is not the end. As long as your squad survives long enough, you have a chance to respawn back in and continue the fight. Can your squad outlast and win?
There's plenty more in Update 11.2, so be sure to read the full patch notes for all the details. That's all for now and we'll see you on the Battlegrounds!
Our first Survivor Pass of the season has arrived, Survivor Pass: Pajama Party! Jump in-game to check out all the slumber party themed rewards, alongside a slew of new missions to complete as you progress through the pass.
Erangel, the original Battleground is receiving changes to both Military Island bridges, allowing you more options to mount your assault or set up defenses. For those who like to set up a tent and bridge camp (you know who you are), there’s now additional cover to make use of while you patiently wait for the “brrr” of that incoming enemy-loaded UAZ.
Multiple performance and quality of life improvements are included this update, alongside side a handful of bug fixes. Read on for all the changes, including balance adjustments to vehicle-shooting.
World Changes - Erangel Military Island Bridges
Late last year, we asked players which locations on Erangel could be improved, or otherwise changed to improve gameplay. After reading your responses across multiple platforms, including previous feedback and suggestions, this update we've focused on introducing changes to the main chokepoints between the Erangel mainland and Sosnovka Island; the East and West bridges.
This minor rework brings structural changes to the bridges and includes the addition of new defendable positions, in addition to catwalks underneath to help fend off attacks, including those from the water. These catwalks also double as a new avenue of attack to mount an assault on those pesky bridge-campers.
Give it a few rounds of play and let us know your thoughts!
The two bridges connecting Sosnovka Island and the Erangel mainland have had major changes, including additional cover and widening of the bridges.
Catwalks have been added, providing additional avenues to both defend and attack from.
The dump truck has been repositioned.
Other Map Changes
4th Anniversary Graffiti Contest graffiti has been removed.
Survivor Pass: Pajama Party
Turn your slumber party into a slaughter party with Survivor Pass: Pajama Party!
This pass kicks off our new way of releasing passes, which are no longer linked in time and theme to the season. This gives us more options for content, duration, and even how many passes we choose to release per year. The passes will still follow similar mechanics with missions and rewards, so pick yours up and start unlocking today!
Survivor Pass: Pajama Party can be purchased within two different item packages.
PAJAMA PARTY WEAPON PACK (990 G-Coin).
Premium Pass + The Big Sleep - AUG weapon skin.
PAJAMA PARTY WEAPON AND LEVEL PACK (3270 G-Coin).
Premium Pass + The Big Sleep - AUG weapon skin + Lv.30 coupon.
Survivor Pass: Pajama Party provides over 30 rewards as players progress through 50 levels.
You can earn XPs by playing matches and completing missions. Additional levels can also be purchased with G-Coin.
Survivor Pass: Pajama Party has the following mission types.
Survivor Pass: Pajama Party will begin on April 28th 11:00 KST and end on June 9th 11:00 KST.
Claim your rewards before the pass ends, as there is no-longer an additional grace period to claim rewards once the pass ends.
Don't forget to make use of your coupons in the Coupon Shop before the pass ends, as they're unable to be used afterwards.
Gameplay & Balance
Drive-by Shooting Balance Adjustment
Several patches ago, we implemented quality of life change to heavily improve stability and overall smoothness of aiming while in vehicles. As vehicles are a core part of our Battle Royale experience, we want to encourage vehicular combat, while also ensuring balance and allowing for proper counter-play.
Listening to all your feedback and digging through gameplay data, we have seen a greater rise in the effectiveness of drive-bys and overall vehicle to player gunplay than intended.
Our first step to address this is increasing weapon recoil in vehicles and we'll continue to closely monitor your feedback, so please, keep it coming!
In-vehicle recoil has been increased by 10%.
This change does not apply to sidearms.
Reputation System Balance Adjustment
Since Update 10.2 when the Reputation System was introduced, we’ve been closely monitoring your feedback. We've looked closely at aspects of the system which have caused frustration and made additional changes to prevent players abusing the report mechanic, which had allowed players acting maliciously to lower another player’s reputation unfairly.
Spamming multiple reports through the replays system no-longer unfairly impacts the targeted player’s reputation level compared to regular reports.
Set an upper limit to the amount of reputation loss per match to prevent misuse, especially in situations where multiple pre-made squad members report their random teammate.
We have also made the following changes to speed-up how long it takes to improve your reputation with good behavior:
Increased the potential number of reputation points available for player’s with reputation level 1 or below.
Also increased available reputation points for players at reputation level 4.
We expect these changes to improve your overall experience with the reputation system and allow us to better highlight players in the community who play by the rules and keep it friendly while doing so. Keep up the good work and please continue to share your feedback with us.
To prevent potential gaming of the system, we won't be sharing all details and intricacies of how reputation progression/loss functions.
SLR Muzzle Update
The Flash Hider model on the SLR has had major improvements to its visuals.
Match History & Match Report Improvements
Having the option to deep dive into your replays and match history can be great to help analyze and improve your gameplay. We want to ensure these tools are simple to use and easy to understand. With that said, we've made improvements to both the Match History and Match Report screens which you can read about in more detail below.
Match History
Improved the overall page design and rearranged certain elements for better visibility.
Increased size of the map images.
Improved icon design for Last 20 Match Stats details.
View Report is now displayed only when hovering over each match entry.
Your Placement Trend is now displayed as a line graph, rather than a bar graph to give a more clear picture of your results.
Replaced Avg Kills with K/D Ratio.
Added Assists to the list of recorded stats.
Assists have also been added to Match Reports.
Performance Improvements
Improved client performance by disabling certain voice chat related features when voice chat is disabled.
Improved client FPS stability through a reduction in hitches related to optimization work.
Optimized CPU performance by adding additional multi-threaded rendering support.
Optimized CPU performance through animation optimization.
Optimized some server and client performance pipelines to reduce both server and client hitches.
Items & Skins
Item Tier Adjustment
We have adjusted the tier of certain common, gray rarity items to improve consistency among similar item types. The adjusted items are now exchangeable for 60BP each. This change has already been implemented as of Update 11.1, originally intended to be deployed with Update 11.2, but deployed in advance with a related bug fix by mistake.

For the majority of PUBG Esports so far, we’ve followed the Standard and Universal PUBG Esports Ruleset “S.U.P.E.R” with very few changes or deviations. During PGI.S, we adjusted the tournament format to place more importance on winning matches. Our overall goal with these changes was to bring back the intensity and accomplishment of being the last team standing, which has always been the heart of Battle Royale. We saw tons of excitement surrounding the Chicken Dinner focused matches and a new level of performance from our pro teams when they had a singular goal to focus on. With that in mind, we are making some changes to the winner decision method of our SUPER point system.
Here’s what will be changing in 2021:
Proposed SUPER Changes
The winner of the match is the team who wins the Chicken Dinner
The winning team of the Series will be determined by the number of Chicken Dinners won
In the event of a tie, total kills earned during the series will be used as a tiebreaker
We want the Chicken Dinner to mean something again since currently the winner is not always clear due to complicated score tallying, and this new system will ensure that a winner is determined as a match concludes. The moment of excitement should be when the game is won, not when the scoreboard pops up. These changes will take effect when PCS4 begins in June, however some regional preliminary matches will use different systems in order to give teams more time to prepare for the change.
As with everything, we’d love to hear your feedback on the new system once PCS4 wraps up. The current point system has served us well for a long time and definitely has legitimacy as an esports scoring system, we’d just like to get to a point where playing PUBG and watching PUBG Esports both evoke the same feelings without having to learn the teams you’re watching have different goals than your squads do.
Thanks for all the love and support you’ve shown PUBG Esports, especially during this last, very difficult year due to the pandemic. Your passion and excitement have helped us continue to put out fun and competitive esports events despite all the difficulties.
Here’s to another great year of PUBG Esports and we’ll see you all at PCS4!
What was the saying? Oh yes. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. You Survivors revel in your victories over each other and still have the gall to drag us into it. Well, no more. You've been a pox on us for far too long and the bock stops here. This time, the chickens are the top of the pecking order.
Don't believe me? This is no eggaggeration. Just look at your precious game. We're already here, clucking up your social profiles. Once my fowl plan hatches and every last one of you has been beaten, well... let's just say it won't be chicken on the menu.
But, if you dare to challenge my Henerals and their armies, look for the arcade cabinet in your precious menus, but be warned- this battle isn't going to be over easy. You have until April 12th before your game is completely mine and if you think omletting you stop me, you're sorely mistaken.
For I am PlayerOmnom and these are my Battlegrounds now.
You've waited patiently to drop back into the highlands of Paramo and we're excited to bring you brand new experiences there as well! In its sophomore run, Paramo is now part of the normal map rotation, meaning that all regular queues are available. We've also taken this time to tweak some map settings and lean in slightly more to Paramo's randomized terrain.
While you're out on the highlands, we've got several newly balanced weapons for you to try out. The Mini-14, VSS, and SCAR-L have all seen damage increases this season, so test out the new hardware on our next drop.
There's also a fast new way to reach the safe zone on Erangel and Miramar. The Emergency Pickup attaches you and your squad to a high-altitude balloon, allowing a plane to scoop you up and carry you across the Battlegrounds. Parachute back down to the fight below when you've reached your destination and catch your enemies by surprise- just be careful while deploying. Giant flashy balloons don't exactly scream "Nothing to see here."
We've also revamped the PUBG ID system a bit, adding 10 new medals to Medal Mastery and giving you a couple slots to show them off on your ID. You can also now view your killfeed logs, try out new ways to add friends, and more. Check out the full patch notes here and we'll see you on the Battlegrounds!
PUBG Anniversaries mean a lot to us. They’re a time to look back and be thankful for the success none of us expected and to thank all of you for the gift of that success. The fact that we have some of the best and most enthusiastic fans in the industry isn’t lost on us, so we try to make sure anniversaries are filled with fun ways to celebrate the reason we’re all here in the first place- YOU!
In addition to the events and contests going on, we wanted to spend some time putting together a short video about PUBG’s journey so far. It’s just another way for us to remember where we came from while looking at how far we’ve come along the way.
We hope you enjoy “PUBG: The Journey So Far” and Happy 4th Anniversary!
Drop back into the highlands of Paramo with updated terrain and new game modes available. While there, you can try out the latest weapon balance updates that include damage increases for the Mini-14, VSS, and SCAR-L.
You can also work on the 10 new Mastery Medals added to bling up your revamped PUBG ID. On larger maps, deploy the new Emergency Pickup to grab a quick transport over to the safe zone for you and your squad. 11.1 also features Killfeed updates, new ways to find and add friends, a new Match Log, and more.
Check out the patch notes below for full details on everything and look for all these changes on live servers starting next week!
Season 10 Ranked Rewards
Season 10 has now wrapped up and it's time to enjoy your rewards, after a hard-fought season of Ranked. Rewards will be automatically distributed to your inventory upon login at the beginning of Season 11.
Season 10 rewards are granted based on your final end-of-season rank.
Ranked Emblem
A unique emblem per tier, for all players who obtained a rank during Season 10.
Season 10 Ranked Parachute Skin
Given to all players ranked Diamond and above.
Season 10 Ranked Mirado Skin
Earned by all players ranked Gold and above.
Season 11 Ranked Begins
Starting from Season 11, Ranked Seasons will run for 2 months at a time. Season beginning and end dates no longer align with that of the Survivor Passes. Due to the change in season duration, adjustments have been made to the ranked reward table.
Players use rank emblem rewards a lot, especially at high ranks and we've found most players tend to use the emblem from the most recent season, rather than older seasons. So, to better emphasize and represent your recent ranked achievements, ranked emblems and similar symbolic rewards will now only be available to use for the season in which you received the rewards. Ranked skin rewards are still permanent items available for use across any season.
We have also made improvements to the quality of higher ranked emblems and added ranked nameplates for additional prestige.
Ranked Rewards Changes
Ranked Parachute skins are provided from Gold and above (previously Diamond).
Vehicle skins are no longer a Ranked reward.
Animated emblems are provided for Diamond and above.
Master and Top 500 also receive a Nameplate and Emblem.

Based on your feedback, we've brought back Paramo to Normal and Custom matches, as Haven and Karakin bid farewell.

Last year, the team focused on releasing several smaller sized maps with unique features, from Karakin and its building destruction, to Paramo and its partially randomized terrain, to the urban streets of Haven along with its PvPvE element. We love making new and interesting maps for you all to play on but all these new maps does make matchmaking and map rotation a pretty difficult task. To try and keep a balance between map choice and matchmaking times, we'll be limiting the number of playable maps to five starting with Update 11.1.
We know that our players have very different tastes when it comes to map size, but the consensus has generally been in favor of the large 8x8 maps. Because of this, Erangel and Miramar will always be available with the remaining maps cycling in and out of the remaining three slots. Cycling out maps also gives us the opportunity to work on them a bit for when they make their return. For Update 11.1, Paramo will be replacing Karakin in the rotation.
Paramo has been a fan favorite since it first dropped and many of you have been asking for it back. We've added in more options for game modes and fine tuned a few other things, added an addition random map area each match and also made it available in custom games. Karakin will continue to be available in custom games.
We hope this new plan helps keep PUBG's map selection exciting while still getting you all into games in a timely fashion. Thanks and enjoy your return to Paramo!
Weapon Balance Updates
Based on the data we've collected in the past months, we've made adjustments to the Weapon Balance. We found that in Normal matches, the Beryl, M416, and SLR are all used in a similar amount. In Ranked matches, however, the Beryl is outperforming other weapons, followed closely by the SLR. To help keep matches exciting and make sure players have many viable battle choices, we've decided to nerf the Beryl and SLR. On the other hand, we've seen that certain guns are underperforming, and so we are giving the Mini-14, VSS, and SCAR-L small buffs.
Mini14
Increased damage by +1. (46 → 47)
VSS
Increased damage by +2. (41 → 43)
SCAR-L
Increased damage by +1. (41 → 42)
SLR
Increased horizontal recoil by 15%.
Decreased recoil recovery rate from 2.1 → 1.9
Beryl
Increased horizontal recoil magnitude by 5%
Increased horizontal recoil speed from 10 → 11
Increased vertical recoil speed by +1.5 (15 → 16.5)
New Feature: Emergency Pickup
When the Emergency Pickup is deployed, a Fulton Balloon is released from its bag. When the Balloon is fully inflated and high up in the air, an airplane will arrive in 60 seconds. During this time, up to a maximum of 4 players can attach themselves to the Fulton Balloon rope. Once that plane arrives, it catches the Balloon, hoists up the players, and makes its way towards the center of the Safe Zone.
At any point during the flight, players can detach themselves and parachute down. When deploying the Emergency Pickup, make sure the area is clear of obstacles (terrain, vehicles, buildings) with a clear view of the sky, or it will fail. The Emergency Pickup cannot be used before the first circle appears and after the fourth circle, so use it wisely. It will also not work when you use it indoors, on ferries, or trains.
The Emergency Pickup is a lootable item only found on Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi that can be carried around in your inventory.
Emergency Pickup can be used effectively in the following situations:
Stuck deep in the Blue Zone or are otherwise unable to outrun it
Have to cross an open field with little cover while engaging another team
When you and your teammates want to find a safer looting location
Be aware of the following once you're picked up by the plane:
Once picked up by the plane, you cannot shoot, so be wary of taking fire while you're midair.. especially if there is a Motor Glider around.
Players on the rope can receive damage and are therefore vulnerable to mid-air attacks from a Motor Glider.
Players can detach from the rope at anytime and deploy the parachute.
At an altitude of less than 50 meters, the parachute is unable to be deployed.
Camera is locked in TPP for the duration of the journey.
Mastery Medal Updates
Ten new types of Mastery Medals have been added.
While the first medal update focused on killing skills in battle, this update adds medals which focus on multiple combat situations and playstyles.
For example, medals have been added for missed victories, taking down a whole enemy squad, coming out on top in certain unlucky situations and even for working well with your team.
Mastery Medals can be acquired in both Normal Matches and Ranked, but not Arcade, Labs and Custom Matches. Each medal specifics which game modes they can be acquired in.
PUBG ID Updates
Players can now display up to two medals on their PUBG ID, as an awesome way to show off your achievements.
Upgrading a medal tier will remove the old medal and only display the higher tier medal.
Players can customize their PUBG ID from the Customize tab.
PUBG ID will now be shown as a profile pop-up, rather than the previous passport format.
Mutual Friends
The previous PUBG friend system only allowed you to follow another player. In the new Mutual Friends feature, players will be able to become friends with one another. Alongside this change are more improvements detailed below.
Friends list now supports up to a maximum of 300 friends.
A "Friend Request" tab has been added to the Social Page. Mutual friend's activity status can be found here.
You can choose to block requests from specific players desired players for 30 days. Once a player is blocked, you're unable to unblock them during that time period.
The "Following" feature is no longer supported, with previously followed players listed under "Previous List".
Friend requests can be sent from this list.
