PUBG Corp has announced Sanhok will soon be receiving two shiny new content additions exclusive to the map.
On the official Twitter account, PUBG Corp yesterday revealed the 'QBU' gun: a new DMR set to replace the Mini 14. Using 5.56mm bullets, the gun will be similar to the Mini 14, but with slightly higher bullet damage. It also comes with a handy pre-attached 'bipod' to stabilise the weapon when the player is prone, which will reduce recoil for mid to long-range shots. According to the video, the gun's damage will be the lowest of the DMRs, but on the upside, it will also have the "highest initial bullet speed", again making it useful for long-distance shooting.
PUBG Corp also revealed Sanhok will be gaining a new vehicle. Sure, it's not quite the tuk-tuk many fans on Reddit hoped for, but the 'Rony' should help players navigate the hilly terrain of the Sanhok map. Capable of holding four players at a time, the pickup will allow two passengers to sit in the cargo area and turn around freely. Business in the front, party in the back.

While the makers of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds work away on undoing some of its more enduring technical problems, fixes are still coming for the more immediate stuff. This past week saw the launch of an update aimed at reducing lag problems on the North American servers by fixing an issue which stopped their matchmaking from filtering people by ping – which turned out to have combined nastily with a bug which set the default region to North America so many people elsewhere in the world unknowingly joined in and made everything worse. A string of other bugs and bad things have been fixed across the week too. (more…)
Update: the codes are all gone! Thanks to all who entered.
The Sanhok map is live and PUBG players are battling for chicken dinners in huge numbers. To celebrate, we're giving away 1000 Event Passes that will speed up your levelling and access to more cosmetic items.
To be precise all Premium and Free pass items can be earned, all missions are accessible and you earn 2 XP per minute you survive (to a daily maximum of 180) XP). On top of that you get a BP boost of between 5 and 20 percent.
The event pass naturally has a Sanhok theme, so expect Sanhok-specific missions alongside daily and weekly missions. The event concludes on July 21.
