Army General, Steel Division 2's Dynamic Strategic Campaigns, is a single player turn-based strategy game mode in which you can, if you wish, fight every single battle in real-time. More than just a new game mode, our philosophy is to develop it as a new game within the game. As the General of your army, you are in charge of dozens of historically-accurate battalions, hundreds of companies, thousands of men, in up to 150km-wide maps. During each turn (representing half a day), you will have to manage their movements, their combat, and make sure the supply line is intact.

In this first article, we'll give you the first details on how it is played.

We have just released a brand-new in-game trailer showing new features for Steel Division II, the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning real-time strategy title Steel Division: Normandy 44.

Set on the Eastern Front of World War II in 1944, Steel Division II will find players taking command of vast armies during Operation Bagration, covering the Soviet counter-attack against Axis forces in Byelorussia. Following the debut reveal and behind-closed-doors press preview at gamescom 2018, the new trailer shows some of the many new features in development for Steel Division II.

The trailer kicks off with the new Armory, a beautifully realized staging ground where players can review up close the 600 historically accurate units featured in Steel Division II. The video also lifts the veil on Steel Division II’s new turn-based Dynamic Strategic Campaigns, allowing prospective generals to take charge of an entire army corps, manage battalions, supplies and reinforcements.

How fast time goes by! Steel Division: Normandy 44 is about to turn one (aww), and it has been a busy year! First of all, we wanted to thank you all for your ongoing support during all this time. Thanks to your feedback and your involvement, we were able to continuously support the game with free content, including game modes, 6 Attack/Defense scenarios, Historical Mission playable in coop, new units, aces, and more!

Now it's time to celebrate this first anniversary properly with a gift: First Blood, the new free update available right now, adds two new divisions, the 1st Infantry Division "Big Red One" and the 1. SS-Panzerdivision "LSSAH"! And, cherry on the cake, we're also unlocking two aces, previously available for special events: Pierre Clostermann and Willy Kretzschmar!
