We are in the process of fixing known issues and implementing suggestions from the community (Including making the DLC accessible offline). We apologize for any inconvenience and have made it our top priority to improve the user experience.
The second Fire Pro Wrestling World DLC, Fire Promoter, is coming Late 2018 and the third DLC, Fighting Road: 2017 NJPW Junior Heavyweight Championship, is coming Early 2019! Upcoming content will be available with other DLC in discounted Steam Bundles. But that’s not all, we’re also planning more updates and new features!
Future DLC and Updates:
[DLC Schedule] DLC #2: Fire Promoter - Release: Late 2018
Tune in to our Fire Pro Wrestling World Friday Night Fight on October 26 at 6PM PDT! We're giving away exclusive Japanese Limited Editions as hosts Ari & Mimi brawl it out in the ring!
Let me start by saying: We plan to make the DLC usable in offline mode.
As many users have pointed out, the NJPW DLC currently requires an online connection to use. The console DLC requires an Internet connection for verification checks, so this design was carried over to the Steam version.
Now that we have a handle on the situation and a clear plan on how to resolve it, we can announce that we are working to change the ownership checks so that you can use the DLC without an Internet connection. However, changing the ownership checks may impact game data in unexpected ways. We need time to look into the code, debug the changes and make sure there are no issues.
We will make an announcement once we are certain of the update date. For now, please know that we plan to make the DLC usable in offline mode. We can’t apologize enough for the inconvenience and misunderstanding.
Aside from the team working on the DLC, other members are also working on bugs/quality of life issues users have reported. These patches will roll out simultaneously on all platforms.
Some of these issues include:
Slowdown caused by the Ver.2.000 UI update.
Improvements to Workshop usability.
Issue where wrestler theme does not play post-match.
Issue where deleting a team can cause existing stables to move to a different promotion.
Reducing lag in online matches.
Improving load times.
We are aware of many of the current issues, but if you have a particular request, please let us know in the comments.
The New Japan Pro-Wrestling Collaboration DLC is available now! The DLC adds 39 NJPW wrestlers (along with edit parts, moves, voices and entrance themes) and the Fighting Road scenario mode where you join NJPW as a Young Lion and fight your way to the top.
In addition, there is a free update today that adds nine new moves and a redesigned UI.
Note Regarding Save Data This update fixes a long-standing programming bug in league/tournament mode. Unfortunately, previous league/tournament save data is not compatible with the latest version. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Counter - Shoulder Bear Hug
Front Grapple (MED) - Gourdbuster
Front Grapple (BIG) - Arm Lock
Front Grapple (BIG) - Shoulder Bear Hug

We offer our deepest apologies to the PC community for the delayed release. Moving forward, we promise to deliver concrete information in a time-sensitive manner and to be as transparent as possible. Please be assured that all announced DLC is still in production.
Instead of a Season Pass, future DLC will be available via discounted Steam Bundles--this will give you the same discount as a Season Pass with more purchasing options to pick and choose which DLC you want. All future DLC will be released simultaneously on all platforms.
Now that the NJPW DLC is released, we can focus on the rest of our planned content, and, just as importantly, earning back the trust of the community.
We are very sorry to announce that the PC release of the NJPW Collaboration DLC has been pushed back to September. Originally we planned to release the DLC on the same day as the North American PS4 edition. However, the PS4 port took longer than expected, which impacted the PC development schedule. Rather than rush the DLC out the door to meet the PS4 release, we have decided it is better to spend a few more weeks on the PC version to ensure a quality build at launch. This was not an easy decision. The PC community has supported us since Day 1 and we do not want to keep you waiting for the new NJPW content that you deserve. The team is working to release the PC version ASAP. We are aiming for September and will let you know once we have a solid date. Until then, we ask you for your patience and understanding.
The New Japan Pro-Wrestling Collaboration DLC arrives on August 28 and adds 39 NJPW wrestlers (with new moves, edit parts, voices and entrance themes) as well as the Fighting Road: 2017 NJPW Heavyweight Championship scenario mode. For details about the content of the DLC, please check out the Store Page.
*On August 28, we will also release a free UI update.
[Regarding DLC and Season Pass] The NJPW DLC is included in the PlayStation 4 version by default. The PS4 version is priced higher as a result. On Steam, the price of the base game + NJPW DLC will be equivalent to the price of the PS4 version. Additional DLC will be available via the Season Pass and Steam Bundles. We will release pricing and Steam Season Pass information in the near future.
