With the morning restart on August 9th a new update will be released in the game with fixes for Matchmaking and several changes to PRO-battles. Let’s go over them.
Reporting violators in battles via the context menu
It will become much easier to report players in battle. All you need to do is to click on the nickname and choose the correct point in the contextual menu. If the player is reported by at least 15% of all players in battle, the report will be sent to battle moderators. This mechanic is much simpler and more intuitive, than type “/vote” in the chat.
Player named battles in PRO
Long ago in Tanki Online you could give names to battles you create. Later the option was removed, but we remember, how much did you like coming up with creative names for your battles, and decided to return the feature to the game. Show that creativity in named battles!
IMPORTANT: battle names will be moderated, and authors of the names that violate Game Rules will be banned. And if you get banned, you won’t be able to make any more battles.
Gifts for Friends only
More and more we get reports on players that abuse the gifts and send to non-friends gifts with unacceptable content. That’s why after server restart on August 9th you will be able to send gifts only to friends. We will later also add the option to send gifts to clan members.
Notification about waiting time in Matchmaking
With the release we will add to the game a new notification when the limit of time waiting for the match in Matchmaking will be exceeded. The system will suggest you to press on the “Play” button again to restart the search.
Matchmaking versions of maps coming to PRO
As promised, we’re adding matchmaking maps to the list of arenas in PRO battles. Do you like a specific map and want to play on it with friends? Now it’s possible with PRO battles!
Final score table
The final statistics when the battle ends will be now shown for 30 seconds instead of 15. This was done so you have enough time to check the results of the battle and make a screenshot.

Follow the news, as these are not the only updates coming to Tanki this week!
In today’s episode we’ll be telling you about a War lifehack, showing a new map for standard battles and we’ll be also talking about a new tournament in the TOF series.

There’s not much time left before the War begins, and this means it’s time to share details of the most requested topic for War: Domination: what are the prizes. Let’s dive right in!
Rewards for participating in the War
In the War you will need to earn a new game resource -- stars. For that you need to play in Matchmaking battles and, most importantly, finish them. Your prizes and the overall success of your faction will depend on the number of stars you earn each turn and for the full duration of the War event.
Let’s remind you, how stars are given out at the end of the battle:
1st place in DM or on the winning team -- 3 stars;
1st place on the losing team or 2nd place on the winning team in DM -- 2 stars;
Any other placement -- 1 star.
IMPORTANT: The star count is determined at the end of the battle depending on the player’s position in the final score table. This way, only tankers who played actively in the battle and stayed until the end will earn stars. If you left the battle before it was over or just stood in place, you will not earn any stars.
And here’s how to get rewards in the War.
Active participation in Matchmaking battles:
For confirming your choice of territories on the War site and earning 5 stars -- 3 containers;
For earning 15* stars -- 5 containers;
For earning 30* stars -- 10 containers.
* total number of stars in a turn, not in addition to the previous level.
IMPORTANT: if you earn less than 5 stars during a War turn, then you will not get any prizes for that turn. Also don’t forget, you need to earn stars AFTER voting what territories to attack and defend on the War site.
Capturing special territories on the map -- Vaults: if the faction captures a Vault, then all of its players that confirmed their vote to attack that territory will get 15 containers. The bonus is a one-time reward -- bonus territories will only reward the faction that captures the region first.
Faction wins in the War: players of the faction will get 20 additional containers and the animated version of their faction paint. Important requirement to get the prizes: you need to complete at least 6 turns in the War (not necessary to do all 6 in a row).
Top-10 placement: tankers, who earn the most stars for their faction at the end of the War will be placed in the Top-10 list for their faction, and will get **unique Legacy skins for Viking and Thunder. The current Top ratings of your own faction will be shown on the War site during the event.
** Only 30 tankers (3 factions combined) that made it into Top-10 of the factions will become the owners of the Legacy Viking and Thunder set of skins, until it is available for purchase in the Shop. When will it happen we will announce at a later date, but those tankers will be the coolest players in the game until then. The only exception -- a few Youtubers, who will be given the Legacy skins set for a limited time to record videos about the unique skins.
Prizes for the stars earned and the bonus territories captured will be given out automatically once a day at the end of each turn -- between 06:55 UTC and 7:05 UTC on that day.
Containers for the faction win will be sent out after the completion of the last turn of the War. We will announce the dates when animated paint and skins will be delivered after the event ends.
Start planning your battle strategies and get ready to wage War!

The event is designed only as an entertaining fictional activity and has no connection to real names, people, organizations and events in the world. Any similarities are coincidental. The event does not, in any way, provoke or encourage real life violence, extremism or violation of the international law. The company is not responsible for any actions that harm the user or break the international law and/or Game Rules. For breaking the rules of the game or the event, participants can be disqualified from the event and its rewards.
F.A.Q
When will the War start? The event is planned to start on July 30th.
How much time will the War take? Approximately 2-3 weeks. Everything depends on the strategies each faction will choose and how active are the players of each faction.
Does participant’s K/D matter in the War? No, K/D does not influence anything.
What is the “Easy Stars” pass, how does it work and where can I find it? “Easy Stars” pass will increase the number of stars earned in battles. It will be available for purchase only in the Shop.
Can I participate in the War from multiple accounts? Indeed you can.
What determines faction progress when it comes to Victory Points? Victory Points are given to each faction before the start of a new turn. Each territory that the faction owned in the previous turn will earn the faction a certain number of Victory Points, and the number depends on the level of the territory (find more information on the map legend in the bottom left corner of the site). The current Victory Points table for all factions can be found at the bottom of the War site.
How does Top-10 for each faction count the stars? All stars earned by players during the War will be summarized. The more stars you earn, the higher is your placement in Top-10 list. Note 1: Each player has access only to the list of their own faction (or no list if the player has not purchased the Distributor paint). Note 2: The ratings in Top-10 list are updated every 5 minutes, please note there’s a delay.
If several players finish the battle with the identical score, who will get the stars? They will earn the same place in battle and get the equal number of stars (without the stars earned through the “Easy Stars” pass).
If a tanker doesn’t participate in the War and places on the final score table in battles, how many stars will be given to the players who participate in the War and are placed BELOW that tanker on the score table? Players who do not participate in the War will still place in battles as usual, and will not give any extra stars to players below them in the list who are participants in the War.
How many stars will you earn if team battle ends in a draw? In this case, when the stars are being counted the system will think both teams lost.
In the previous War announcements we’ve shared with you the main event mechanics of War 2. During the last community stream we’ve also shown the War site and answered questions about how to make turns in the event, and today we will share a more detailed look at how the War works and answer your most popular questions.
What you need for the War
Have the rank of Master Corporal or higher.
Buy the “Distributor” paint in the Garage for 1,000 crystals.
Go to the War site and press on the green button “ENTER”. You will be redirected to the authorization window for Tanki Online, where you need to log in -- you need to enter the login and password of your TO account, which you want to use for the War. After doing so, you will be redirected back to the War site.
We remind you, the “Distributor” paint is NOT for sale in the Garage yet, and it will be added to the game before the event starts. At the same time on all official Tanki channels we will publish the link to the War site. Also, a dedicated button will be added to the Matchmaking Lobby that will redirect you to the War site.
War Site
On the website you will find 2 tabs:
“Information”
and the “Map”
On the first page you can find a short description of the event and its rules, and the map on the second page allows you to choose territories for attack and defense.
In the right column area of the page you will see your personal statistics, statistics for your faction and current battle missions.
How to participate
After authorization on the site each turn you will need to choose 1 territory to attack and 1 territory to defend.
Territories on the map will have a special visual effect to indicate they can be chosen. To make your choice, simply press on the highlighted territory. To cancel your choice, press on the same territory again.
In the first turn only 1 territory will be available for defense -- your faction capital. Press on it to defend the region.
Confirm your choice by pressing on the “Confirm” button in the bottom right corner of the screen. BE AWARE: you can not change your choice after confirming the turn.
After confirming the turn go into Matchmaking battles to earn stars -- new in-game resource. You will begin each turn with 0 stars. As soon as you collect 5 stars (this is the minimal amount to participate in a turn), all stars that you collect after confirming the turn will be added to faction progress in battles for territories you have chosen.
Each day you need to follow a simple and single list of actions. You don’t have to participate in every turn, but the more turns you complete the more prizes you will earn!
What you need to Win
The goal of each faction is to capture and hold as many territories as possible. Each turn captured territories will earn your faction Victory Points (these are NOT stars). Territories around the edges of the map will earn less points, and territories in the middle -- more points. The thicker and brighter is the border of the territory, the more Victory Points will it earn your faction for controlling it. Look for the full map legend in the left bottom corner.
Faction that earns 300 Victory Points first will win in the War.
Map Bonuses
On the map you will find yellow chest icons, they mark special territories -- Vaults.
If a faction captures a vault, then all participants of this faction that confirmed their turn to attack this territory will get 15 containers.
IMPORTANT: the bonus is one time only. The rewards will be given only to those, who will capture the territory first.
That’s it for today! In the next issue of the War Herald we will tell you about the prizes, and, as always, answer the remaining questions. Check your Garages and get your gear ready, there’s only 1 week left before the War begins!
F.A.Q
Will participants from the same clan be able to choose the same faction? No, but you can create a Battle Group and play together in MM battles to complete your turns and battle missions.
Can you earn stars in Mobile version of Tanki Online? Yes, you can, but TO Mobile doesn’t have the War interface implemented, so you will have to track how many stars you have on the War site.
Can I first play the battles, earn stars, and then confirm my turn on the War map? NO! It is VERY important that you follow the order of actions: first choose territories to attack and defend on the War site, press on “Confirm”, and then earn stars in battles!
What will happen if I miss several days of the War? Nothing horrible. The only thing you will miss are the awesome prizes for the days you didn’t participate in the event, but you will always be able to participate in the next turn.
And if I miss the start of the War, will the “Distributor” paint be removed from the Garage? No, you can buy the “Distributor” paint and join the event until the very last day of the War.
When will I get rewards for completing turns? At the end of each turn.
How much time does a single turn take? 23 hours and 55 minutes: from 07:00 UTC until 06:55 UTC of the next day. During the 5 minute pause we will recount the map status, faction progress and send out the prizes.
What will happen, if multiple factions reach 300 Victory Points at the same time? In this case the faction that earns the most stars during the last turn will win the War.
Can I earn stars by playing in Juggernaut mode? Yes, you can.
Will the Premium subscription multiply the number of stars earned same way as it’s done for crystals at the end of the battle? No, it won’t. Specifically for stars a new pass will be added to the game called “Easy Stars”, which will increase the number of stars earned.
What will happen, if a faction loses all of its territories? It will be removed from the War, since none of that faction’s players will be able to choose what to attack or defend on the War map.
Can several factions at once fight for the same territory? Of course. The territory will be captured by the faction whose players that chose this territory to attack or defend have earned more stars than their opponents.
What will happen if multiple factions fighting for the territory will earn the equal number of stars at the end of the turn? The territory will remain in control of the faction that was defending the region (if that area was previously captured and the faction that owns it participated in the defence), or will become neutral, if that territory was neutral or the faction that captured it previously did not participate in the conflict for it.
What will happen, if the faction attacks a neutral territory? The territory will be captured by that faction. This is a normal occasion for the beginning of the War, when each factions starts to expand its territories around the capital.
What will happen if a faction capital is captured? Nothing special. Faction capitals are the same territories like any other. Their goal is to be a starting point for the faction in the War, nothing more.
For capturing territories factions earn Victory Points. If a faction loses territories, will the Victory Point be retracted? No.
How many turns do I need to complete to get the additional prize at the end of the War if my faction wins? At least 6 turns.
Can I earn more than 10 containers each event day? 10 containers is the maximum reward that can be given per turn by earning stars, but don’t forget about the bonus territories on the War map.
Will I still earn stars, if I leave a battle before it ends? No. Stars are given only at the end of the battle depending on the place you have reached in the overall results.
Stars and Victory Points -- what’s the difference? You need stars to fight for territories on the map. VPs are needed to win in the War.
What will happen to faction paints at the end of the War? The winners will get their faction paint replaced with the animated version. The necessary requirement to get the animated paint is 6 completed turns. All other faction paints will be removed from participants.
Tomorrow already, with the morning restart 02:00 UTC on July 20th a new game mode will be added to Tanki, and you’ve heard about this one for a long time -- it’s Juggernaut!
Unlike Assault and Rugby, which were added to the game not long ago, Juggernaut is an individual mode, where everyone fights for themselves and to become the Juggernaut.
How to play in the new mode
Juggernaut is similar to DM, but with a challenge -- to find, destroy and become the most powerful tank for as long as possible.
The goal of the mode is simple -- one tanker controls a unique tank “Juggernaut”, and the role of Juggernaut will be given to a random player at the start of the battle. The player that destroys Juggernaut takes over the control of super tank, and so on.
In the new mode players receive score for kills, same as DM. The player that destroys the most tanks will win. Please be aware, that you can and you need to destroy any tanks, not only Juggernaut.
“Juggernaut” mode will be available only in Matchmaking (non-PRO) battles for players of the Sergeant rank and higher. A new game mode button will be added to the Lobby, taking you directly to battles in the new mode. Battles in Juggernaut mode will have a shortened name of JGR.
Super tank
Juggernaut tank is incredibly powerful: its turret is a double-barreled Railgun, combined with a Striker launcher, and its hull is unbelievably tough with a speed of a light hull.
Pressing on a fire button in short succession will shoot from both Railguns one after another. If you hold the fire button, you will see a laser targeting marker, and upon capturing targets in the laser targeting system, Juggernaut will launch several guided missiles.
The super tank also has several other unique features:
The level of MicroUpgrades and Modification level are always based on the levels of the player that is controlling Juggernaut.
Juggernaut uses the same paint and protection modules that were on the regular tank of the player that is now piloting it.
Juggernaut turret has a unique damage type, which can’t be protected against using the Railgun and Striker protection.
Upon activating overdrive, Juggernaut will push away and launch nearby tanks into the air.
Overdrive is recharged faster than on the usual hulls, and the healing from it is much more effective.
The player controlling Juggernaut cannot use supplies from the Garage, including mines. The only exception are Gold Boxes.
Double Damage, Double Armor and Speed Boost bonuses are always active on the Juggernaut.
Picking up supply boxes with Double Armor, Double Damage and Speed Boost will not have any effect on the Juggernaut. The only exception is the Repair Kit box.
Player controlling Juggernaut cannot use drones, meaning batteries will not be used while playing as the Juggernaut.
Welcome the release stats of Juggernaut:
from 5 to 10 thousand hitpoints depending on Rank and upgrades of the player.
Maximum speed without the boost -- 13 m/s. It’s faster than Wasp M3+.
Damage, reload speed and the charging speed of the double-barreled Railgun is higher than the normal Railgun.
The Rocket launcher is firing 6 missiles at once. Target capture is faster than on the normal Striker. Please be aware: Juggernaut’s Striker doesn’t have an option to fire with a single rocket.
***
The coming days in Tanki will be full of events. After the restart on July 20th several changes and additions are coming to the game.
New XT-skins
After the restart a new offer will appear in the Shop with new XT-skins for Mammoth and Vulcan, plus 100,000 crystals! These skins will be also added to containers. At the same time the previous offer with skins will be removed from the Shop, and from that moment onwards you can find XT-skins for Wasp and Firebird only inside the containers.
Updated maps
New maps are coming to Matchmaking!
A new version of Sandal will be added to the list, and Massacre will become slightly larger.
We’ve adapted the map Sandal for standard battles. Now it’s noticeably longer due to the increased size of team bases.
Massacre has become a bit wider and longer. We’ve added a few lines of objects, which should make the landscape smoother. Playing on such a map will be more comfortable, and tanks will get stuck on the edges of map objects less often.
Changes to turret balance
With the release we will introduce new changes to the Thunder and Shaft turrets, and will also change the Ranks at which supplies and PRO-battles are unlocked.
Thunder will have higher fire rate, the distance and effectiveness of splash damage.
Shaft will be reloading a bit faster when firing without Sniper mode, but the effect of these shots (the reach and reduction in damage) will be reduced.
Repair Kit will become available from Recruit rank.
Mine will become available from Corporal rank.
Double Damage and Double Armor will remain at the Master Corporal rank.
The list of PRO-battles and PRO Battle Pass will become available from the Warrant Officer 1 rank and higher.
The full list of changes will be posted in Patch Notes later today.

Soon a large-scale event “War: Domination” will start in Tanki Online, and for the event tankers will be divided between 3 factions fighting over territories on a special map of a fictional world (this is NOT an in-game map of Tanki Online). The event will be held on a special site made specifically for the War, which will be launched closer to the start of the event.
In the first announcement we’re already told you what you have to do to join the War: how to register, how you get assigned to a faction, and how to log into the War site.
This issue of War Herald will be dedicated to the mechanics of fighting for the territories.
War Turns. Battles for territories
One turn of the War will take exactly 24 hours (from 7AM UTC till 7AM UTC of the next day), and you will fight both the War map -- for territories -- and in battles against other tankers in Tanki Online.
For each turn you will need to choose on the War map an area to attack (from territories directly connected to the territory owned by your faction) and another to defend (from the territories already owned by your faction.)
After you confirm the turn go straight into Matchmaking battles and earn stars -- a special in-game resource. You will begin each turn with 0 stars, and as soon as you earn 5 stars (this is the minimal number of stars to participate in a turn), all new stars that you earn after confirming your vote for the next turn on the War site will be added to faction progress in the ongoing battles for chosen territories.
IMPORTANT: for a War turn only the stars earned after confirming your vote on the War site will be counted towards faction progress. You NEED to vote for attacking and defending territories on the War site first, and then, after earning 5 stars all new stars will be counted towards the faction and to receive event prizes.
This way, each faction can attack and defend many territories, and the result of each battle for the territory will be determined by player participation and the number of players who voted for the territory.
The more you play and the better you play, the more stars you will earn. Also, stars earned after the required number to confirm a turn (5 stars), will earn you additional rewards.
You will be able to track battle progress for all factions on the War site in real time.
What’s needed to Win
The goal of each faction is to capture and hold as many territories as possible. Each turn captured territories will earn your faction Victory Points (NOT stars).
Territories around the edges of the War map will earn your faction less points, and areas in the middle of the map -- more points.
The faction that earns 300 points will win in the War.
--
That’s it for today!
If you have further questions about the event -- ask them in the comments and in this thread, and we will answer most popular questions in the next issue of the War Herald!
We will announce when the War begins closer to the start of the event.
NOTE: The War is a team competition, and to win your faction needs to coordinate the actions of all faction players. You can do that using any available options in the game or on the internet: in chat, on the Forum, on social media, or anywhere else. For each faction we will create a subsection on the War section of the Forum, where you can discuss strategies, choose territories for attack and defence and coordinate playing together in battles.

Many of you remember the War -- the global event that was held in Tanki Online back in March and February of this year.
In the past several months you’ve often asked us, “Where’s the War 2?”. It’s about time.
The long awaited event will start very soon -- close to the end of July or the start of August.
This time we’ve invited active members of the community to help prepare the War, and we hope you’ll like what we’ve prepared!
To share with you how the new War works and what are the prizes, we’ve prepared a series of announcements before the event will be launched, so follow the news!
Today we will explain the general mechanic of the event and we’ll also tell you how factions will be distributed in War: Domination.
In War, each tanker represents one of the factions, fighting over territories on the global map of a fictional world (this is NOT an in-game map of Tanki Online). The event takes place on a special site of the War, which will be launched closer to the start of the event.
Factions
This time there will be 3 factions, and you won’t be choosing the faction -- it will be assigned to each player. This way, we moved away from the game localisations and named the faction “Lions”, “Bears” or “Wolves”.
How to participate
To join one of the factions in the conflict, you will need to buy a special paint in the Garage, which will be called “Distributor”. With the start of the War, “Distributor” will turn into one of the faction paints, chosen randomly for all players.
IMPORTANT: faction paints are needed to assign faction allegiance for sides in the War, and it is NOT necessary to wear the paint in battles. The “Distributor” paint will appear for sale in the Garage closer to the start of the event, it is not available yet.
Registration. The War Site
Specially for the War we will launch the event site with the global map, on which factions will battle for supremacy. You will be able to choose what territories to attack and defend on it.
When you will open the site, press on the “Enter” button in the top right corner. You will be directed to the official Tanki Online website, where you need to authorize your account. After entering login and password you will be sent back to the War site (and this might happen automatically, if you have chosen the “Remember me” option in the authorization form).
After the authorization, the War site will help you with advice what to do next, and tell you about the current statistics for you and your faction.
The link to the site will be posted closer to the start of the event, additionally, in the Lobby for Matchmaking battles a special button will be added that will lead directly to the War site.
Please be cautious and only click on the links from official announcements or sent by members of the Administration, do NOT trust random links from the in-game chat.
Main objective
Same as in the previous War, the event will take place on a map of a fictional world, where factions will need to capture and defend territories, earning points for holding them each turn. As soon as one of the factions will gain enough points -- the War will be over!
The main difference between the Wars is in the attack and defence mechanic. In the last War, the strength of each faction was determined by K/D of the players in the faction. We understood, that it wasn’t a fair statistic to use, and that’s why in War 2 we will introduce a new special resource -- stars. The better and the more you play in battles, the more stars you will earn. Stars will be used to confirm turns in the War and will be counted for conflicts on that territory. Stars will also determine prizes for participants.
That’s it for today. You must have a lot of new questions now -- post them in the comments on Youtube and in this thread, and we’ll answer them in the coming War announcements.
