Minor Game Update
General Updates
Daily numbers of Dungeons Cleared will now increased from 10 to 15 for Normal and Hard Adventure dungeons.
Due to the lack of benefits found in selling Ad Balloons, and to reduce the amount of ad spam, Ad Balloons will be removed from the Meret Market.
Air Mounts sold in the Meret Market will now be account bound instead of being character bound. Any players who purchased a character bound mount from the Meret Market will have their mount replaced with an account bound mount.
Chaos Raid Updates
Note: A set of changes relating to items that can only be obtained via Chaos Raids were listed, but were originally applied as part of the Chaos Rising Update. We apologize for the confusion.
Ludibrium Clock Tower
Will unlock on Nov. 30
The Dungeon Objective to Defeat Papulatus in a party of 7 to obtain S Rank will now increase to a party of 8.
The Dungeon Objective to Defeat Papulatus in a party of 4 to obtain S+ Rank will now increase to a party of 5.
Note: These were slightly changed so that roles can be more evenly distributed across raid members since internal tests shows that it was more stressful rather than fun to run this dungeon.
Sales Update
Ad Balloons have been removed from the Meret Market
Releasing a Starter Pack to the Steam store, containing the following items for $19.99 (or local equivalent)
Hairstyle Voucher
Face Change Voucher
Premium Club 30 Day Pass

Players are no longer able to climb over the entrance blockade in Chaos Raid: Shadow Altar.

Known Issues
The Runeblade tutorial cannot be completed if the player loots items until inventory is full.
Guild application notification number appears for regular guild members.
Game remains on Nexon logo screen when third party audio and streaming are running.
In game browser becomes unresponsive after clicking a link that opens Chrome.
UGC items in the Design Shop with an apostrophe in the name cannot be linked into chat.
Dark Cell Prison Key can be obtained as a looted item, but no longer has a use in the game.
Gathering gain amount is incorrectly calculated with multiple gathering buffs active.
Hairstyle Vol. 1 does not count for the progression for the trophy Trend-setter for some players.
Note: A pair of Known Issues relating to Dex and Luck affecting secondary stats were originally listed as Known Issues. We are further investigating the issues to identify the precise problem, and will update this when we know more.
Note: A Known Issue stating that Priest and Knight off-hand items were not contributing to Gear Score was originally listed. This is working as intended, and has been removed from this list. We apologize for the confusion.
This week's blog covers a very important aspect of the Chaos Rising update. The team here and the Dev studio were generally surprised at how the Chaos Rising update has impacted the general sentiment in the game. We have been reviewing your feedback and all of the differing opinions and are exploring a few changes.
Before we go into the changes, we would like to clarify the design philosophy behind the Chaos Raids. Chaos Raids are supposed to be high-skill end-game content for MapleStory 2, with a strict time limit that calls for much better execution compared to the current Hard Adventure Dungeons. What we have learned is that many players were expecting another tier of dungeons which could be reliably cleared with players that meet the Gear Score requirements, similar to Hard Adventure Dungeons.
Because of that initial view, and because the Gear Score requirements were set at a level where a team of highly-skilled players could theoretically complete the raids, we saw many players disappointed that they might need to return to Hard Adventure Dungeon runs and not be able to enjoy the new content yet, and also the high skill requirements have created an impression that +13, +14 or even higher enchantments are necessary for raids, putting even more pressure on players. Also, the end of the Dungeon Delight Events has caused progression to feel even slower, and that getting +13 or higher takes too long.
We have been reviewing many different channels to collect feedback, identifying issues you are experiencing and discussing potential improvements. We've learned a lot from your feedback, not only for the Chaos Raid design but also related to other aspects of the current progression system. Please see below for some noted issues we are working on improving:
The gap between Hard Adventure Dungeons and Chaos Raids feels too large, due to high skill requirements
1. Chaos Raids feel almost impossible at the current Gear Score requirements
2. With the current end-game structure, there aren't enough things to do to progress, and players are not feeling a sense of progression after daily dungeon runs.
3. Due to a focus on optimized progression, "The Fire Dragon" is the only dungeon players want to play, which makes progression feel even more repetitive
4. Players need more things to do besides Dungeon runs, and a lot of content in the game feels underused
5. We do see many complaints regarding RNG, but we think the core issue may be that players are not seeing enough Return on Investment (ROI), and we will address this feedback in relation to the end-game structure (see #3 above) discussion.
We are still working on solutions, but there will be some detailed info coming soon, and we are planning to make improvements with the upcoming update during December. For now, we'd like to discuss a few high-level directions. What we discuss here is not final and is still work in progress, but we wanted to share and gather feedback on the general direction.
Chaos Raid
Chaos Raids will be unchanged, with high skill and control required to clear the Raid. Also, even after the change, the raids will continue to reward the best items.
That being said, we are trying to find a solution which can fill the gap between Chaos Raids and Hard Adventure Dungeons, so that players who are trying to seek for more content to enjoy, with different rewards than Hard Adventure Dungeons, can experience more intriguing and challenging content with other players.
Gear Progression
The current system will stay similar, but we will create a more fine-tuned way to get the materials needed to gear up for Chaos Raids. For example, this might include a weapon box type of reward from dungeons. A few other things you should expect:
December Update
With the Sky Fortress update, you will gain access to different ways to gather resources, outside of dungeon runs
We're looking into revamping Hard Adventure Dungeons to help players more smoothly progress with an improved reward structure
This Week's Maintenance
Players who cannot log in 5+ days a week are seeing even slower progress. As such, we will be increasing the daily cap to 15 from 10. This will be applied with this week's maintenance and will let players run up to 30 runs a day when using the Dungeon Limit Reset.
We are looking to create more ways to let players progress in a more entertaining way, without needing alts, and also allow players to enjoy all the different types of dungeons the game currently offers.
Until December
Because we do see players struggling after the Chaos Rising update, and because those who join us with December's update will be experiencing a better and smoother progression system, we are going to take a few small actions to support those trying to get geared up for Chaos Raids now:
Daily Cap increase to 15, weekly remains 30 (60 with Dungeon Limit Reset)
A login event starting this weekend, with Epic Armor Bonus Value Re-rollers Box, Hard Adventure Weapon Selection Boxes, Exquisite Armor Selection Boxes, Absolute Accessory Selection Boxes. Further details will be announced later this week!
The upcoming changes for the December update require thorough testing and careful balancing, and we are going through detailed discussions now and will provide more information very soon. For players who are already enjoying the current Chaos Raids, I assure you that the content and the achievements you and your guilds have made will stay the same, and for those working towards the raids, you will see good changes that will let you progress smoother, with a improved reward structure and other improvements.
Other Things to Discuss
We are also working on some more quality of life improvements. This includes potential changes related to the Dash skill for the Priest class and a change in default guild size.
Priest: The Priest Dash skill has been tuned best to move toward other players for better healing support in parties but we are hearing that with Chaos Raids and control requirement, this feature is making it harder for Priests to avoid damage during high-difficulty situations. We'd like to open this topic up for discussion in our official forum thread.
Guild Improvements: We are discussing changing the initial size of the guild from 30 to 50, and we are reviewing additional improvements to the guild leader functions.
10053 Error: We have confirmed there was a significant improvement with this error, and we are still reviewing reports from the players who are still experiencing issues. Please let us know if you are still experiencing problems.
Meso Sellers: We have identified characters which seem to be bank accounts for some of the meso sellers, and put a trade-ban on those accounts in case we have false positives. We are also continuing to ban huge numbers of bots on a daily basis. We are adding more features with every update which, while we cannot detail them publicly, hope to increase the number of bans and identify bots before they can get to Adventure Dungeons.
New UGC: New UGC weapon templates are in works, and we are aiming to add more during the December update.
Housing improvements in review: We are reviewing a few improvements for housing. Once we have more details, will share them with you.
Joddy Squad improvements: We are going to make improvements and announce criteria for our official content creator partner program in upcoming weeks.
As always, thank you for being an awesome community and for continuing to provide us with constructive feedback! We believe in the game and the community and hope to make a success together as a team.
Are you ready for a real challenge, because the Chaos Raids are here! These 10-player dungeons will be the most difficult fights you've seen in MapleStory 2 with the most powerful rewards to match! We're also going to be unloading a set of quality of life improvements to make your time in Maple World even better, plus special Thanksgiving events and a new slate of items in the Style Crate!
It's time to take on MapleStory 2's bosses in some real fights! Get your best equipment ready, find a talented team to back you up and delve into the Chaos Raid versions of Shadow Altar, Moonlight Fortress and Ludibrium Clock Tower!
Chaos Raids are advanced challenges that will require more from you than any of the other challenges that Maple World has presented so far. Skipping over almost the entire dungeon and heading straight to the final boss, you'll only have 15 minutes to take your enemy down. Your foes have vast amounts of health and their attacks will strike harder than ever, so you'll need powerful weapons, a good team and quick thinking to succeed.
Each character can complete each Chaos Raid a total of 3 times per day and 6 times per week, and you will need the following Gear Scores in order to enter:
Beating the boss doesn't have to be it, though. Like with Hard Adventures, each Chaos Raid has a set of objectives that you can complete to show your mastery over the monsters. You might be content with just the A Rank rewards you'll get from defeating the boss, but each week you can earn bonus prizes for showing true mastery with the Weekly Rank Rewards!
C Rank Reward: 3x Red Stars, 1x Special Red Potion
B Rank Reward: 5x Red Stars, 2x Special Red Potion
A Rank Reward: 7x Red Stars, 3x Special Red Potion
S Rank Reward: Lv. 50 Epic Cape Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Belt Bonus Value Re-roller
S+ Rank Reward: Lv. 50 Epic Earrings Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Necklace Bonus Value Re-roller, Lv. 50 Epic Ring Bonus Value Re-roller
Prove your skill and make your mark on the leaderboards, which track the number of attempts, earliest to complete the raids and quickest completions for all players in the region. We hope you enjoy the Chaos Raids... because the Bosses sure will.
Legendary Gear
The greater the challenge, the greater the rewards! When you complete a Chaos Raid, you'll claim the new Legendary Extreme, Rage and Panic Armor and Weapons for your character's job, surpassing the power of everything else in MapleStory 2! You collect gear for different item slots from each Chaos Raid:
Shadow Altar: Legendary Headgear, Gloves or Shoes of a Legendary Set of your choice
Moonlight Fortress: Legendary Tops or Bottoms of a Legendary Set of your choice
Ludibrium Clock Tower (coming Nov. 30): Legendary Weapon of a Legendary Set of your choice
Collect each piece of armor in a set to gain additional bonuses on top of the raw power granted, and use it to climb the ranks. If you don't get the piece you were hoping for or want to try for a better set of stats, don't fret! Legendary Gear can be Dismantled and converted into Weapon Box Fragments and Armor Selection Box Fragments for that set.
Enough fragments can be combined into a box that contains that set's weapon, or your choice of armor from that set, the resulting item is no different from the one you can get from the Chaos Raid itself.
Quality of Life Improvements
Sometimes, it's the little things that matter most, the tiny problems that get in your way that can frustrate you greater than you'd expect. We've been keeping a close eye on your feedback and introduced a slate of quality of life improvements to make your MapleStory 2 experience even better.
First on the list is Wardrobe Swap, a new feature that allows you to set up multiple sets of Gear and Outfit arrangements, so that you can swap your look in and out with the click of a button. No more needing to dig through your inventory to find just the glasses that go perfectly with that hat, and the best part is, it's entirely free of charge!
We've also added additional Quickslot Bars for your use! You're now able to load up multiple layouts of skills, or collect your various mounts and party items into an additional slot. These Quickslot Bars will be accessed by clicking on the buttons next to the Quickslot's number, or with keybinds that can be found under Controls > Misc (Quickslot Bar 1, Quickslot Bar 2, Quickslot Bar 3 and Cycle Quickslots).
You can now also decrease the size of your house! No need to try to figure out what to do with the massive mansion and all the space in it, make your humble abode as large or as small as you want. And as with expanding your housing plot, you don't need mesos or Merets to cut your home down to size.
The Dismantle function has also been nice and streamlined by increasing the number of items you can dismantle at once, up to 100 items at a time instead of just 15, as well as giving you a preview of what dismantling your items will give you in return. We've also shorted the animation for dismantling, letting you recycle your excess gear and get back to the fun in no time!
No one likes having to trundle back to down after a bit of bad luck in the dungeons, so the good Doctor Pask has decided to come to where the business is! Each Dungeon Lobby will now have Doctor Pask there waiting, helping you get back to top form before entering your next battle!
Finally, with the advent of Chaos Raids, we're adding an important feature for group communication: The Ready Check! Party Leaders can now ask their group if they're ready, either by right-clicking on their name in the party list or by typing in "/checkpartyready".
Dungeon Limit Reset
As we've mentioned in an earlier previous Producer Blogs, we are instituting a Dungeon Limit Reset function to allow you a second set of 30 Adventure Dungeons per week and 10 Adventure Dungeons per day! You can reset the limits on one character per account per week, immediately able to complete and loot from dungeon runs!
Design Shop Changes
As mentioned in this week's Producer Blog, we are instituting a set of changes to the MapleStory 2 Design Shop to improve the quality of the items in the Design Shop and limit the number of explicit, abusive and unauthorized designs being sold on the Design Shop:
Listing Registration Fee will increase to the following:
Zero items listed: 190 Merets to list a new design
One item listed: 290 Merets to list a new design
Two or more items listed: 390 Merets to list a new design
Creators will now get a 75% cut from the sales on the Design Shop, up from 70%
Registration Period will increase from 30 days to 90 days
Designs submitted in bad faith, with a clear intention to copy another creator’s original work or violate the ToS, will not be refunded, including both the listing fee and template cost (This will apply to the ad walls as well)
Please let us know if you have any concerns about these changes on the Official Forums, as our goal is only to improve the quality of the creations that appear on the Design Shop and avoid this powerful, creative system from being exploited by bad actors.
The Turkeys are Attacking!
Thanksgiving comes to America in a few weeks, and the favored meal isn't going to be taking it lying down. The Chaos Rising Update features a massive, fowl menace seeking to crush Maplers under its claws, and a lovely Maple Tree that's begging to grow!

After a thorough review of your feedback, we decided to make an adjustment to the Listing Fee structure one more time. We understand there are small UGC creators who need to test the market with smaller investments, and some regions have smaller number of listings, and as such Listing Fees will now work as follows:
Zero items listed: 190 Merets to list a new design
One item listed: 290 Merets to list a new design
Two or more items listed: 390 Merets to list a new design
We strongly believe that having a reasonable entrance barrier to the market will increase the quality of the content players can shop for, and this will result in more players visiting the store. We have seen feedback that players do not want to visit the UGC store anymore because of an excess of low-quality creations making it harder to find great quality ones. This change should make it more appealing for players to visit the store regularly. Also, combined with 90-day listings and 5% more Merets going to the creators, this will let players create a more profitable business on the Design Shop.
We will carefully monitor the trend after this change, and if any further changes are required, we will take a look at the issue and respond accordingly. Since there will be items which have been registered before this change, thus please expect this change to create a noticeable impact after 3-4 weeks.
Best, Jungsoo Lee

Dear Maplers,
This week’s update will be mainly focused on upcoming changes to UGC - mainly the Design Shop. Currently, we are seeing a truly massive number of creations from the community in the Design Shop, and in order to enhance the overall experience for both shoppers and creators we are going to make a few important changes.
Designer’s Shop Change
Objective of the Change The main objective of the changes are to ensure that:
We support great designers with creative mindset with better exposure and better revenue share structure
We protect original creations from other players copying their designs
We provide shoppers with a better experience, focusing on high quality and more creative designs
We protect the shop from content which explicitly violates the Terms of Service - especially sexually suggestive/obscene, copyright and trademark designs
We ensure review of the designs are based on clear guidelines, to avoid applying different standards to different designs
The Thought Process We reviewed current design shop structure and noticed a few issues. Because the cost of registering items on the shop is free for the first one, and only slowly rising with additional listings, and because we are refunding the full Listing Fee when design submissions are removed from the Design Shop, we have seen many players blatantly copying another player’s design, or uploading the content which clearly violates the ToS without any risk of losing Merets.
This was hurting the shop in many ways:
Designs stolen from other creators were thrown into the shop with minimal risk
The shop became overloaded with designs that clearly violated ToS, again due to a lack of consequences
Because of the large number of low-effort designs, copying another creator’s design and offensive designs submitted by bad actors, many wonderful, original creations became buried in the shop
Thus, we have decided to tweak the shop fee structure to provide higher upside for the great content creators while better filtering out designs being submitted by bad actors.
Upcoming Changes With the update on 11/8, we are going to change three things:
Listing Registration Fee will increase to a flat 490 Merets for all Design Shop listings
Creators will now get a 75% cut from the sales on the Design Shop, up from 70%
Registration Period will increase from 30 days to 90 days
Designs submitted in bad faith, with a clear intention to copy another creator’s original work or violate the ToS, will not be refunded, including both the listing fee and template cost (This will apply to the ad walls as well)
This change is to ensure that original creators have the potential to succeed in the shop. Also, by providing a 90 day registration period with a greater cut for the designers, we hope to see more meaningful creations and fewer items overloading the store, making the original creations harder to find.
Finally, by doing so, players duplicating designs to make easy Merets will now risk losing actual initial investments. We have a 10 day review period on Merets being delivered to creators, and will work to ensure that anyone who submits designs in bad faith will not be able to get any Merets from the sales and lose their original investments.
Review Process Improvements The Customer Support staff handling the UGC submission and review process have been going through very tough times. We saw a much higher volume of creations coming in than expected, and lots of high level terms created confusion within the team. Additionally, since we work with teams in other countries, there are differing understandings of what is considered unacceptable. As a result, there were cases where some designs have been incorrectly removed. We sincerely apologize for your inconvenience and to improve this we have made a few internal changes to improve on our consistency:
We have added more details to our UGC review guidelines
We have simplified categories and criterias with detailed examples we have seen in the actual Design Shop
We are improving our training to ensure we are consistent when removing designs
We are reviewing tools which could help us automatically identify obvious violations, to allow our team to focus more on important reviews
While this might take more time to get to the level where everyone is satisfied, we promise you will see improvements in the UGC review process quickly, and please continue providing feedback if you see issues with our decisions.
Other Upcoming Changes
This week’s update will include few important improvements.
Fairfight Update: We are reducing the impact to players above Lv. 50, resulting in most players seeing a 10%+ increase in damage, and the classes with a high dependency on buffs and passives will see even greater damage increases
10053 Issue: We are adding a new feature to the game with Chaos Rising Update that helps mitigating disconnections on November 8th. This change will automatically seek to re-establish connection with the server, and it’s highly likely you won’t notice the disconnection after we apply the change. Some of the cases you will see loading icon on the center for very short time, but if you are experiencing long disconnections, you may see multiple reconnection attempts.
Please note that if you click Cancel during the reconnection attempt, you will be disconnected and receive the 10053 error. There are also a few edge cases that the game client will default to a disconnection with the error code, including but not limited to:
If the disconnection happens while loading into the game from character selection
If the disconnection happens while loading into mini-games or dungeons
If the disconnection happens while loading into new maps or channels
We expect most previously affected players will not see the 10053 issue after the update but we will keep monitoring to make sure. With this change, we hope to make everyone’s gameplay experience much more enjoyable.
Meso Seller and Bots: We are continuing to identify and block bots. Last week we have banned 30,000+ accounts and yesterday alone we have banned 10,000+ accounts. Also, to combat ad spams via walls and ad balloons we will be adding level requirements to use them. Also, whispers will now have a Lv. 25 requirement and group chats a Lv. 50 requirement. We are discussing additional measures and hope we can make gradual improvements to combat the bots without affecting your gameplay
Dungeon Limit Reset (BETA): It is finally coming to the game, please try out the dungeon limit reset beta feature and see how it is working for your daily grind. Remember, you can reset the limit only once per account each week, so choose your character wisely.
QoL Improvements: We are improving a few functions - house size reduction, Wardrobe Swap, Quickslot Bar swapping - also we are adding five different weapon templates for our talented designers!
Thanksgiving UPDATE!: We are going to celebrate the Thanksgiving with a ton of content. You will have the chance to earn a special turkey mount, decorations, outfits and other vanity items. Please look out for more details, and join us on Thanksgiving weekend for more!
December Teaser: We are already preparing our update for December, we will start to share some of the updates and improvements for December around Thanksgiving.
Optimization: This is still in our books, but we currently don’t have any details to share yet.
We will be providing much more detailed updates on the Chaos Raids with the patch notes and other announcements. While we thrive to deliver the best gaming experience to the community, some of the decisions might not seem perfect, and our actions might seem slow. We understand the expectation is high, and will work hard to improve ourselves to satisfy our great community. Please continue to provide us feedback, as while we might not be leaving comments on each individual comments, you can be assured we are reading and listing up the feedback to review.
This week is going to be huge for the community, and looking forward to see the community knocking off the Chaos Raids. It will be challenging but you will love it!
Are you ready for a real challenge? On Thursday, November 8th, Chaos Raids arrive to MapleStory 2!
Chaos Raids
It's time to take on MapleStory 2's bosses in some real fights! Get your best equipment ready, find a talented team to back you up and delve into the Chaos Raid versions of Shadow Altar, Moonlight Fortress and Ludibrium Clock Tower!
Chaos Raids are advanced challenges that will require more from you than any of the other challenges that Maple World has presented so far. Skipping over almost the entire dungeon and heading straight to the final boss, you'll only have 15 minutes to take your enemy down. Your foes will have vast amounts of health and their attacks will strike harder than ever, so you'll need powerful weapons, a good team and quick thinking to succeed.
We will be releasing Shadow Altar and Moonlight Fortress with the update on November 8th, with Ludibrium Clock Tower coming on November 30th. Each character can complete each Chaos Raid a total of 3 times per day and 6 times per week, and you will need the following Gear Scores in order to enter:
We hope you enjoy the Chaos Raids... because the Bosses sure will.
Legendary Gear
The greater the challenge, the greater the rewards! When you complete a Chaos Raid, you'll be able to claim new Legendary armor and weapons for your character's job, surpassing the power of everything else in MapleStory 2! You collect gear for different item slots from each Chaos Raid:
Shadow Altar: Legendary Headgear, Gloves and Shoes
We've been keeping a close eye on your feedback and the Chaos Rising update will contain a slate of quality of life improvements to make your MapleStory 2 experience even better.
We'll be unveiling many of these features over on Twitter and Facebook over the next week. First on the list, revealed yesterday, was Wardrobe Swap, a new feature that allows you to set up multiple sets of Gear and Outfit arrangements, so that you can swap your look in and out with the click of a button. No more needing to dig through your inventory to find just the glasses that go perfectly with that hat, and the best part is, it's entirely free of charge!
We're also adding additional Quickslot Bars for your use! You'll be able to load up multiple layouts of skills, or collect your various mounts and party items into an additional slot. These Quickslot Bars will be accessed by clicking on the buttons next to the Quickslot's number, or with keybinds that can be found under Controls > Misc (Quickslot Bar 1, Quickslot Bar 2, Quickslot Bar 3 and Cycle Quickslots).
Remember to keep an eye out on Twitter and Facebook for more information on the coming changes!
The Turkeys are Attacking!
Thanksgiving comes to America in a few weeks, and the favored meal isn't going to be taking it lying down! November will feature a special event to keep your bellies full as we come up on Turkey Day, and you'll be able to claim some special prizes for beating back the fowl menace!
November's Style Crate is Coming!
The Style Crate gets a refresh, rotating out some of the contents and introducing new outfits, badges and more to the Style Crate, Meret Market and Coin Shop! We'll also be adding new items to the Meret Market, including a special package for the Thanksgiving season and cuddly little pets to keep you company!

The Chaos Rising update arrives during the maintenance on Thursday, November 8th! We'll see you then, so make sure you're ready for the fight to come!
First of all, thank you very much for taking time to read our blog and share your thoughts. Both the team here at Nexon America and the MapleStory 2 studio care about how players enjoy the game, and always try to review all the feedback and understand the core issues to provide the best solutions for any of the topics we hear from the community. Sometimes the solutions might not be the ones you were thinking of, but please understand that we also have many different things to consider when making decisions and rolling out changes.
After we revealed the structure of the Chaos Raids, by reading everyone’s feedback, we learned there was one oversight designing the content.
The current system design of Hard Adventure Dungeons assumes the Chaos Raids will have the same level of difficulty and drop the same gear as a reward.
Initially, we thought the removal of Lubelisk (as we teased during the MapleStory 2 Premiere event) was the only issue and, as a result, we announced a change to the condition to trigger the “Dungeon Hunter” buff for MSL weapons. But after thorough discussion, we came to the conclusion this is not the only issue with the MSL weapons.
We have decided to make the following change, instead of only changing the condition to trigger MSL weapons:
All weapons - Murpagoth Warrior Weapon, Ancient Rune Weapon, MSL Onyx Weapon - will have their attributes “Shadow Hunter”, “Pirate Hunter”, “Dragon Hunter” - activated when entering any of the Chaos Raids.
Please see the detailed explanation from lead designer nemi for the reason behind this change.

nemi:
The change behind the Chaos Raid structure was to ensure more players can start the Chaos Raids while making the challenge appropriate to rewards for those who can complete them. But after a thorough review of the community feedback, we realized that the previous design of Hard Adventure Dungeons and the new Chaos Raids wouldn’t mix well, especially because of the specific weapons optimized for each of the different raids. Our intention for optimized weapons for raids was to give players the freedom of choice, it was never our intention to require players to grind through every hard adventure dungeon to be well equipped for all Chaos Raids.
Players must have assumed the Chaos Raid structure would be similar to the Hard Adventure Dungeon structure, and we believe the above change is the best for everyone. If we do not change the current design, players would need to farm all three different types of weapons from Hard Adventure Dungeons, when we would like players to start enjoying Chaos Raids. Also, we see the possibility of parties only accepting players with specific weapons for each raid, which is not something the team intended to do.
Thus, we made a decision to let all three weapon types have their own buffs triggered when entering all three raids.
There can be unforeseen issues coming from three weapons having slightly different triggers within the dungeon, and the team is thoroughly testing the system to ensure all three weapons have a similar level of advantage when they are used in the Chaos Raids.

This change will be rolled out with the November 8th update. Please continue to provide us with constructive feedback and we will continue to work towards improving the game.
