As you read this, we have exactly 48 hours to go on our Kickstarter campaign!
For us, the journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. We cheered when the number of backers went up, smiled when people upgraded their reward tiers, and frowned a little when thing slowed down a bit. We obsessed over every single word we used on the main page, pondered about which GIFs would best represent Legrand Legacy at its current state, and spent months thinking about a variety of meaningful rewards and updates that we can offer to our backers. We sincerely hope that you have enjoyed reading all the updates that have given you a sneak peek into the fantasy world of Legrand Legacy!
We also spurred quite a heated discussion on PC Gamer. Then Alpha Beta Gamer called us “very impressive” and “shows great promise,” while Cliqist said the game is “polished” and “plays well.” And then, somehow, our cinematic trailer also landed on Gamespot!
Above all, we have so far made a lot of new friends. We saw first time backers coming onto Kickstarter JUST to pledge for Legrand Legacy. Some people sent us very enthusiastic emails, Tweets, and Facebook messages because they simply cannot wait to be a part of the game. We watched as our game was played by some very entertaining YouTubers and Twitchers, all eager to beat epic boss Klahmaran, wanting to see more from Legrand Legacy.
All of that has been possible because of YOU!
Every. Single. One. Of. You.
So, as we approach the finish line, we present to you a little video that captures our journey together - from the very beginning to where we stand now.
Last but not least, we want to thank our friends at PR Hound who have helped us every step of the way - from helping to design our campaign page to ramping up our social media presence, to promoting, to garnering significant press coverage for Legrand Legacy, and then some! They do work beyond the realms of PR and have been an integral part of our crowdfunding process by also helping with our updates, always making sure the world knows about Legrand Legacy.
In the meantime, please continue sharing Legrand Legacy in social media, at forums, or even through your blogs and channels! And if you haven’t done so, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter by clicking the images below!

In previous updates, we have revealed a few exclusive features for Legrand Legacy, such as Tactical War and the Headquarters system. However, those of you who have been playing JRPG for a while have probably experienced a mini-game or two during your adventure. All the best RPG we have played have a mini-game or two, and Legrand Legacy is not the exception. After all, Finn and the gang might need some distractions to keep them entertained during their quest!
There are a few fun mini-games that we are currently working on as we plan Legrand Legacy, including things such as fencing, archery, and fishing, to name a few. During your time with these mini-games, you’ll earn points and said points can be later exchanged for legendary items or achievements. You can also revisit these games and try to beat your own high scores! Please note that the mini games are still work-in-progress, so we’ll be showing you one of them today!
Here’s a sneak peek of how the fencing mini-game will probably look in the game.
What are some of your favorite mini-games from the JRPG you’ve played? What do you think of the mini-game we’ve shown you for Legrand Legacy? Let us know in the comments below!

Welcome to a new Kickstarter update! We want to start today's post by thanking everyone who has shared the campaign on social media. You've also been following us on Twitter and liking us on Facebook, and because of this you've managed to reach not one but two new Social Media Bonus goal! Thanks to this, once Legrand Legacy is funded, we’ll be adding a new weapon upgrade recipe to the game and a fourth bonus song to the digital soundtrack!
On top of this we've reached a very important milestone: Legrand Legacy is now 70% funded! There’s still four more days to go, so please continue to share the link to the Kickstarter with everyone you know so that we can make it to the main goal and beyond!
In the Pre-Alpha Prologue, you get a sneak preview of a lot of the fun things you can do in Legrand Legacy. You’ve explored towns, dangerous dungeons and enjoyed a sidequest or two. But there’s more to the game than what we’ve shown you so far, which is why we’re on Kickstarter to secure the funds needed to implement all the extra content into the game. One of the cool features we plan to add to Legrand Legacy to make it even better is the headquarters system! As always, please remember that the headquarters systems is currently work-in-progress, so the designs and screenshots below are not final.
As your troops grow bigger, you might wonder “where do I keep all of them stationed?” The answer is simple: at your very own Dumville Castle! This is your base of operation and headquarters, and while there you’ll be able to talk to your allies and get to know them better. Behold, the majestic Dumville Castle!
BUT WAIT!
There’s something very important that you should know. Dumville Castle is currently in ruins. War has ravaged most of the land, and your task is to rebuild this once majestic castle back to its former glory and then some!
During your journey, you will encounter a lot of potential allies that you can recruit for your cause. There are many things to fix in the castle, so you will need a group of very talented individuals, such as blacksmiths, builders, and shopkeepers, among others, to make it happen.
If you ask nicely enough, some of these allies will even set up shop in your headquarters and help you rebuild the castle. So explore away and don’t be shy to talk to everyone you meet! You’ll never know where these potential allies may be hiding.
As part of the Social Media Bonus Goals that you have unlocked, we will be adding new recruitable NPC to help you rebuild Dumville Castle!
What do you think about the headquarters system? Are you looking forward to rebuilding your castle? Please let us know in the comment below!

While we’ve been hard at work on the content for the Kickstarter campaign and the many updates we've been doing, we’ve also been working on the game itself to create a better experience for players. We have received a lot of feedback from those of you who have played the Pre-Alpha Prologue, and we plan to incorporate said feedback into the next revision of the game.
Once funded, one of the areas we’ll be working to improve is the game’s visual effects, which makes it the perfect topic for today’s update! Please note that what we’ll be showing here is still a work-in-progress, so the designs and effects are not final.
Let’s begin with Finn’s Slash. We want to create the impression of a swift yet weighty sword slash that splatters upon impact, so here’s an early draft for Finn’s Slash.
Next is Arc Slash, Finn’s Arcana. An Arcana is powerful, so it’s supposed to look dramatic and memorable, literally shaking the ground. So we, therefore, came up with the following design, which combines swift sword slashes with an explosion of dusty particles that rise from the ground.
And here’s Klahmaran, everyone’s favorite big bad guy. He’s flaming hot, so we came up with a design that truly takes the temperature up a notch by combining symbolic illustrations with a wall of blazing fire flares that devours the entire room!
What do you think about these visual effects? Do you think that once implemented they will make a big difference in your gaming experience? Please let us know in the comments below!

In our previous updates, we have shown you several of the locations in Legrand Legacy. You’ve visited Tel Harran, the City of Slavers, the treacherous and deadly Rahas Desert, Shapur, the city for the exiled, as well as the bustling coastal city of Dunabad.
However, there are still many regions to explore, each with its own unique monsters and inhabitants – areas we are currently working on! For today’s update, we will give you an exclusive sneak preview of some of the areas that with your support might get a chance to be included in the final game!
First up is Dorei Dock, an idyllic fisherman village and home to some of the kindest and gentlest souls in all of Legrand.
Next, we have Ostia, the main entry port to Southern Legrand –the city is unfortunately plagued with high crime rates and corruption.
The Gate of Glory is the pride and joy of Ostian citizens. We have created an original musical score in its namesake to capture our heroes' valiant and adventurous spirits!
If you have played the Pre-Alpha Prologue, you’ll know that Geddo is a Norn. The Norns used to live in a swampy forest in Southern Legrand called Finias. However, the Great War hundreds of years ago turned Finias into a city of ruins packed with the spirits of the undead...
Finally, we have the beautiful Gwenelle Forest, which is the only proper green area left in Legrand. Rumor has it that this lush forest is protected by the magic of some mysterious celestial creatures, so if you get here, you’ll need to be careful.
Which regions did you like best? Can you think of the type of monsters and local inhabitants you might find in each? Let us know in the comments below!
