We are going to roll out a client-sided hotfix to fix some major bugs which happend after the last patch.
To be able to appy this patch, you literally have to restart your game or/and steam. (verify your game files if you don't get it)

NOTES:

• Fixed a bug causing NVG to cause chrome skins and winter textures to appear as yellow.
  
• Fixed a bug causing the building hammer to not show the building objects in survival.
  
• Fixed a bug causing rendering reflections to be black in the menu.

ADDITION:

• Added a "Buy for a friend" gift system to the marketplace.

Also, the new Winter 2019 major event has finally started. We are releasing a new box, new map, new trading lounge and a lot more further content! For this weekend event we'll have it live the following period of time:

 

START: November 29, 2019 12:00 PM (CET)

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:

• Free Revive Weekend.
  Revive will be free this weekend for anyone that doesn't have premium!
   
• Battle Royale Madness.
  In Battle Royale Madness we shake up the loot completely. Snipers, strong weapons, riot shields and all other good items that normally don't spawn in the Battle Royale game mode are now spawning! Last "Battle Royale Madness" event the snipers were a bit too common so this time we'll adjust that and have them more rare.
   
• Caliwood Double Reputation. (OW / SURV)
  In Caliwood for both the Open World and the Survival game-mode all reputation gained will be doubled. This only goes for official servers. 
   
• Camo Skinbox from Super Zombies (OW / SURV).
  The Camo Skinbox is now spawning from Super Zombies in both the Open World and Survival game-mode. Note that the skinbox is rare to drop so you're going to have to kill a lot of Super Zombies to get an actual Camo Skinbox! Good luck!
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Tropico to Arizona.
  Note: We change the map rotation in the Battle Royale game-mode every week due to the low(er) amount of players playing Battle Royale. If you have any suggestions, ideas or feedback please let us know at http://forums.fredaikis.com/index.php?/topic/5388-maps-battle-royale/
  
   
• SALE: Black Friday Sale!
  50% discount on all skinboxes only for the upcoming 24 hours!
  
   
• EXTRA: Streamer Event!

This has already been announced in the patch notes of patch 2.40 but just in case some of you missed this and so that there is a separate event announcement we are posting this again. This post will contain all the information about the major Winter 2019 event.

For this major event there is no particular end date set yet but it will be up for around 2-3 months from now.

This event is much more than just a weekend or week event. It's starting now, with  the release of this patch and will end in around 2-3 months. The event can be considered as a seasonal event. This means all features listed below will only be active and available during the event period. Here's what we have for you guys:

 

• Winter 2019 Trading Lounge & PVP Map.
  
  
  
  
  
   
• Winter themed Season Pass #2. More about this soon. Season pass won't be instantly released at this patch but will be released soon after, most likely the Monday after the weekend event which will be December 2, 2019.
   
• Winter 2019 Box. Brand new content including the new "Winter Camo" skin set. Also includes items such as the Riot Shield Winter Camo, Snow Ball Grenade and the Bear Hat to keep you warm this winter! Check the icons below or just check the content of the box in the in-game marketplace.
  • Box will be available in the in-game marketplace for GC.
  • Box will be spawning from Super Zombies, Alien Super Zombies, Toxic Super Zombies & rare loot in both Open World and Survival.

• Winter 2019 staves. 2 Special collectable unique staffs that players both in the Open World and Survival game-mode can grind for. Here are the two staves:
  • Sapphire Staff of Hope
    The Sapphire brings the power of hope. A hope for a better world. A hope for a better life. Hope in humanity. Hope in the future.
    
  • Emerald Staff of Wisdom
    The green emerald emanates the light, which has the power of wisdom. Just by being in the presence of it will help you understand the world.
    
    Now, you might wonder how to get them. This is different in Open World and Survival. Below we will explain how to get the staff(s):
    In both game-modes players can find and collect so called 'crystals'. There is two crystals added:
  • Sapphire Crystal
    
  • Emerald Crystal
    
    And here is what to do with the crystals once you have enough:
  • Open World: Players can trade in 250 Sapphire OR 250 Emerald Crystals in the trading lounge (using the repeatable mission) at the vending machine. For 250 of each crystal you can get a unique staff. You can collect and trade in as many as you want.
  • Survival: Players can craft 250 Sapphire OR 250 Emerald Crystals in a Sapphire or Emerald Staff. For 250 of each crystal you can get a unique staff. You can collect and craft as many as you want.
     
• Winter 2019 Secret Spots. Secret winter spots players can find and farm at in both Open World and Survival. Winter secret spots can be found on the following maps: Colorado V2, Colorado V1, Caliwood, Oregon. Winter spots have a higher concentration of spawning winter related items including crystals and the Winter 2019 box.
   
• Winter 2019 Character clothes. Available for purchase through the character selection screen. Winter 2019 Character clothes will be available for the following characters: Rockin' Rolla, Hunter, Ex Cage Fighter and Club Promoter.

Good morning! It's time for patch 2.40 which includes the release of the base building system in Survival, the winter 2019 major event has officially started, we are about to release a new type of zombie and on top of that a lot of fixes and improvements!

 

Now, without further ado, let's jump straight into the patch notes.

Overall Updates:

WINTER 2019:

GENERAL:

• Added big amounts of content for the Christmas 2019 event already. More info about this will follow throughout December. Christmas 2019 event planned start date is December 20, 2019.
• Fixed a bug where not all map filters would show on the servers list in the main menu.
• Fixed a bug related to the taunt system where your game would glitch when using a taunt.
• Fixed a crash that happened when leaving a group.

MODELS:

• Fixed an issue related to the Halloween circus tent models where players could glitch from the inside through the wall to the outside.

CHARACTERS:

• Added rank 1 character skins for November 2019.

ZOMBIES:

• Added a new super zombie type: The Slicer. This is a new unique kind of big/super zombie in New Z. At the moment we are still testing it and making sure it's 100% working before we release it but we're at a stage now that we are 99% sure it will be released very soon. The slicer has unique sounds, animations, stats and behavior. It's around the same size as a super zombie but has a lot more health.
  
  The slicer won't be released just yet but you all can expect it will be released in both Open World and Survival very soon. We will finalize its stats and AI and when we release the Slicer we will let you all know exactly how it will behave, how much health it will have etc.

Item & Skin Updates:

CHANGES:

• Melees now have separated player and zombie damage values. This allowed us to change and adjust the damage values for melees better and more in-depth. We have left the damage against zombies for melees the same while we have lowered the damage of most of the melees against players. There is now also a new bar added in the statistics UI (when selecting a melee) that shows the damage vs. a player and/or against a zombie.

FIXES:

• Fixed an issue related to dropping taunt recipes where there was no model. There is now a model and it's no longer invisible.
• Fixed an issue related to the FN Scar CQC Desion where it had too much reflection on some maps.
• Fixed an issue related to the M4 Desion where it had too much reflection on some maps.

IMPROVEMENTS:

• Sprays now have their own TPS/dropped model. When dropping any spray on the ground there now is a spray can model.

ADDITIONS:

• Added a new normal Riot Shield: Riot Shield Golden Tar Gibelin. This is a shield dedicated to the player who had the most kills on the last New Z Super Cup.
• Added a new clan Riot Shield: Riot Shield 24HR.

 

Open World Updates:

PVP SERVERS:

• Spawns in PVP servers will now check for the spawn with the least amount of players nearby.

COLORADO V2:

• Adjusted the fog level around night time. Slightly increased the amount of fog on further distances around 11 PM in-game time.

CALIWOOD:

• Adjusted the fog level. Slightly increased the amount of fog on further distances.
   

Survival Updates:

BUILDING SYSTEM RELEASE:

• It's time we take the building system to the next level. After this patch we will enable building on at least 1 Colorado V2 server per region. We'd like to see first how the Survival players react to this and based on further feedback we might make final changes before we enable building on all Survival servers.
  We are able to turn building on/off per server dynamically without restarting anything so if all goes according to plan expect every Survival server to have building enabled later on.
  
  We expect feedback and therefore we have created this dedicated forum thread where you all can write any feedback and ideas you might have about the building system. Here is the link: http://forums.fredaikis.com/index.php?/topic/8538-building-system/

GENERAL:

• Added the base build hammer to the crafting list. You need the following materials to be able to craft this hammer: 10x Wood, 8x Metal, 2x Glue, 1x Nails.
• Added the cupboard to the crafting list. You need the following materials to be able to craft this hammer: 25x Metal.
• Exchange missions have been updated:
  • Consumables Exchange
    • Exchange 3x Water 375ml for 1x Electro-AID.
  • Pistol Exchange
    • Exchange 5x Kurger .22 for 1x Desert Eagle.
  • Assault Rifle Exchange
    • Exchange 2x Scar CQC for 1x Scar Night Stalker.
  • Sub Machine Gun Exchange
    • Exchange 2x Thompson for 1x P90S.
  • Mixed Exchange
    • Exchange 2x PKM Ammo Box for 5x Stanag 30.

COLORADO V1:

• Removed the radiation zone from Clearview since there is a high concentration of PVP in this area.

CALIWOOD:

• Adjusted the fog level. Slightly increased the amount of fog on further distances.
• Harvestable resources have been added to the map. This means players can now also farm wood, metal and stone in this map.
• Also added "no building" areas everywhere to prevent players to build in particular areas.
• Fixed the terrain around the safe zone. The safe zone is no longer clipping inside the terrain and overall terrain has been made smoother.
• Players can now also do the exchange missions in Caliwood.

 

 

 

Before we end these patch notes let's talk about what you guys can expect to be coming in terms of event(s).

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:

• West Oaks is back!
  West Oaks (pvp map) is now back (for this weekend only) in the PVP Servers section. Are you a fan of this map? Make sure to let us know what you think about us bringing the map back! The map also has DOUBLE XP active which means all XP gained by playing on this map is doubled.
   
• Open World Golden Zombies.
  In the Open World game-mode have a 30-40% higher chance of zombies dropping game dollars. When killing a zombie it will sometimes drop game dollars and for this weekend only you'll have a much higher chance of zombies actually dropping the dollars!
   
• Battle Royale Airdrop Event.
  Better items are now spawning from airdrops in the Battle Royale game-mode. This means it's now 200% worth it to go for airdrops. Items that will pretty much 100% spawn are snipers, good AR's and a chance on getting a heavy armor.
   
• Survival Medical Madness!
  All medical items spawning in the Survival game-mode have a double (higher) chance of spawning / spawn rate. Need medical supplies in Survival? This is the time to stack up!
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Arena to Tropico.

For this weekend event we'll have it live the following period of time:

• Double Reputation in PVP Servers.
  In all PVP servers all reputation gained will be doubled.

Time for a brand new weekend event! This weekend we have the West Oaks PVP map coming back together with better Super Zombie loot in both Open World and Survival, there is a juggernaut ultimate skin loot event and the M249-E3 Para is back added into the Battle Royale loot!

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:


 

• West Oaks PVP Map.
  The West Oaks PVP map is back in the PVP Servers section! We have also added the 'no reload' perk as special perk only for the servers with this map.
   
• Super Zombie loot upgrade!
  In both the Open World and the Survival game-mode Super Zombie loot will be upgraded. This means when you kill one, in any map, it will have a higher chance of dropping rare items. Basically it will drop better loot and better items. Enjoy!
   
• Survival Juggernaut Ultimate Skin Loot Event.
  We are temporary releasing the Juggernaut Armor Ultimate Legacy and the Juggernaut Helmet Ultimate Legacy skin recipes in the Survival loot tables. This means if you are really lucky, you'll be able to find one of these two skins anywhere in the game. Note: We are doing these smaller events with these two skins as a very, very small amount of players unlocked the skins originally.
   
• M249-E3 Para is back in Battle Royale!
  For this weekend only we will add back the new (almost released) M249-E3 Para machine gun. We have recently updated it's stats and we wonder how players like the weapon now. We know it was way too overpowered last time we made the weapon available so we have nerfed it quite a lot. If you find one, make sure to let us know your opinion(s) so that we can balance this weapon even further and release it in the rest of the game!
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Tropico to Arizona.

  This weekend we are not doing any GC related sale(s) as we have just finished a double GC sale with the Halloween 2019 event.

You will see horrible things, you will hear horrible things and you will most definitely feel horrible things. Now, now... If you think a world filled with zombies is scary enough, it's time to revisit that part of your brain. No, zombies are not the scariest part of this story... Always be on your toes as anything can hit you from anywhere. From monsters, to ghosts, to witches, to demons. But the scariest part of it all, is and will always be. Humans. Yes... Humans will take everything you own. They will kill you on sight. They will hunt you down throughout the lands of Colorado, Caliwood, Oregon, Arizona and even on the peaceful island Tropico. Welcome to the official Halloween 2019 event announcement!

 

Before we jump into any event details let's make it clear over what period of time this event is taking place:

 

Start: October 25, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.

End: November 4, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.

 

Now, let's jump into the details of the event:

 

Double XP & GD:

• During this Halloween event there will be separate Double XP & GD events per game-mode. This means that it might happen that only a certain game-mode has a 'double' event active at a particular time. Here is exact moments per game-mode:
  
  Double XP Survival:
  Start: Monday, October 28, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  End: Monday, November 4, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  
  Double XP Open World:
  Start: Wednesday, October 30, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  End: Monday, November 4, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  
  Double GD Open World:
  Start: Thursday, October 31, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  End: Monday, November 4, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  
  

 

Halloween Free Premium Weekend:

• Also in this event we will do a free premium weekend! This means that every account that logs in in the particular period of time, will have premium for a certain amount of time. Always wanted to try out premium? Here is your chance!

Halloween 2019 Content:

• During the event we will release some new items. Here is a list and how to get them:
  
  All the new content:
   
  • Halloween Box 2019:
    Will be available in the in-game marketplace and findable in-game but very rare.
    
     
  • Skins:
    The following will only be available from the Halloween Box 2019:
    
     
  • Sprays:
    The following will only be available from the Halloween Box 2019:
    
     
  • Character Clothes:
    Will only be directly available through the customize menu.
    
    Also, some character clothes will come back from previous years so keep an eye open in the selection.
     
  • Items:
    The following items will be ONLY available during the event:
    
    The following item will be released during ElChupaCabra's live stream event: (More info further below about this)
    
    And these items are returning from previous years:
    

 

Loot:

• During the Halloween 2019 event there will be advanced loot tables including all the items mentioned above spawning.
  All of the loot mentioned above will be spawning in both game-modes. However, for Survival, chances will vary and not be the same as in the Open World game-mode.
  This also includes:
  • Halloween themed zombies. (all game-modes) These zombies will drop and sometimes be equipped with Halloween themed items.
  • Halloween type of loot will be dropped all over the maps. (all game-modes)
  • Halloween secret spots will drop Halloween themed loot and spawn Halloween themed zombies.
    
    

 

Exclusive Blue Scythe PVE Loot Event:

• This time we are back with another exclusive item: the "Blue Scythe". This is a melee that does a lot of damage and will only ever be available through the Halloween 2019 event. How to get it? You'll simply have to be lucky. This item will be very rare and available in both the Open World and Survival game-mode. This item is spawning through the entire Halloween 2019 event period.
  
  

 

Halloween 2019 Box Finger Event:

• Besides that you'll be able to find or buy the Halloween 2019 Box there will be another way to get this box. We have added a new item; the "Finger". Fingers can be found and used to be exchanged for a Halloween 2019 Box. Here is for both game-modes how it will work:
  
  Survival:
  Find 10 fingers and use them to craft 1 Halloween 2019 box. You can do this anywhere in any map at any time as long as you have 10 fingers in your inventory. It will remove the 10 fingers from your inventory and give you 1 Halloween 2019 Box. Fingers are spawning everywhere and drop from zombies, you have the highest chance of finding one of the Halloween secret spot(s).
  
  Open World:
  Find 10 fingers and use them to trade for 1 Halloween 2019 box. You can do this only in the trading lounge (map) at any time as long as you have 10 fingers in your inventory. You'll have to open your missions and accept the trade in mission, it will tell you what to do. It will remove the 10 fingers from your inventory and give you 1 Halloween 2019 Box. Fingers are spawning everywhere and drop from zombies, you have the highest chance of finding one of the Halloween secret spot(s).
  
  

 

Halloween Sales:

• Throughout the entire event there will be special sales and flash sales. Stay tuned and keep an eye open in our in-game marketplace. Sales will be announced through the official Infestation: The New Z social media channels.

 

Halloween Secret Spots:

• In both Open World and Survival there is special dedicated Halloween themed secret spots in Colorado V2, V1, Caliwood and Oregon. Now, you might have already found one of the spots as we have to patch these in during a patch before the event starts. However you will then have noticed that loot hasn't spawned there yet. Halloween loot will simply be live on those locations as soon as the Halloween 2019 Event starts. Once again for Survival chances will vary and not be the same as in the Open World game-mode.
  Check further under "Loot" to see further details about the loot.
  
  

 

Halloween Themed Trading Lounge & PVP map:

• The trading Lounge will turn into a scary Halloween themed map. Scare your friends away using Halloween skins and Halloween items & trade in style!
   
• There will be a new PVP map available. This is the same map we use as trading Lounge. Ready to scare all your enemies away?!
  
  

 

Halloween Giveaway:

• During the Halloween 2019 Event we will be doing a special giveaway. This giveaway will go through New Z's social channels so make sure to follow us and stay tuned for further announcements.

 

Halloween Battle Royale:

• Battle Royale loot will be revamped and Halloween themed items and zombies will be added! We will also change the Battle Royale map rotation to the Arena map. This map will be live during the entire Halloween 2019 event.
  
  Start: Friday, October 25, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.
  End: Monday, November 4, 12:00 PM (CEST) 2019.

 

Halloween themed Menu & Game Launcher:

• Specially for this event we have turned the main menu of the game into a Halloween scary theme. There will be a different background to totally get you in the scary mood.
  
  

 

Halloween Daily Login Reward

• We will reward every player with a free "Halloween 2019 Box" that logs in a certain period of time. Please note that we won't reward instantly but most likely the day after this period of time. Here is the exact date for this daily login reward:
  
  Log in between the following date(s):
  Start: Thursday, October 31, 00:01 AM (CEST) 2019.
  End: Thursday, October 31, 23:59 PM (CEST) 2019.

 

Halloween live stream by ElChupaCabra:

• Chupacabra will be doing a special live stream again! More information about the event exactly will be announced separately by him.
  
  This event has a particular time.
  Start: Friday, November 1, 2019.
  
  This event will take place at the following channel:

  During Chupa's event you'll be able to win Halloween prizes and the special 'Hate Mask'. This mask will be released during his event and after be available in the main game (to loot) until the end of the Halloween 2019 event. You'll also be able to win other Halloween items and or skins!
