New Blessed Ribbon event!
Undeniably one of the most important items in the game is the rare Blessed Ribbon, which prevents almost all status effects from being applied to the character wearing the accessory.

In an effort to teach the player how important and powerful the Blessed Ribbon is, a new event has been added.

A nixie is present at the forest Lanzer Day statue southeast of Alabaster. If you talk to her, she leads you on a wild chase through the surrounding forests. Following her and surmounting her tricks will grant you a Blessed Ribbon MUCH earlier in the game that was previously possible. This also brings the total number of Blessed Ribbons in the game up to four (though one is only available after the secret super difficult extra end boss).

Reworked "Plains of Balance" skill
The skill you are able to learn from the plains gem called "Plains of Balance" previously allowed a character to sacrifice 50 RP to grant any party member 100 RP. This had two problems.... First, a character could do this ability on themselves, then do it two more times to feed ridiculous amounts of RP to his/her allies. This was not the intention of the skill. Second, in the course of the game, this was the first skill learned from the Lanzer Day statues. Early on, not only do characters not have abilities that need 100 RP, but it was confusing for players.

The Plains of Balance skill has been completely reworked. It now erases all debuffs for the whole party, removes some status effects (stun, paralyze, poison, and confusion), and grants a magic defense buff for 3 rounds. This makes it much more versatile and gives the unique ability to remove a whole party's debuffs. It's also more easy to understand for players near the beginning of the game.

Thank you as always for all the positive feedback. If you enjoy Einlanzer, please spend a few minutes reviewing the game on Steam! It helps tremendously.

Happy adventuring!

New Detail Stats Screen
For a more clear representation of a character's stats, I've added a "Detail Stats" screen under "Status" in the menu.

No more wondering exactly how much evasion Finn has with all those fancy evasion boosting items... this screen will tell you exactly.

One confusing thing is the difference between "RP Regen" and "RP Charge"

RP Regen is the more common stat. It is what the strength belts raise, the Karati Gis, and most other items. It's simply a number between 0 and 100, meaning that is how much RP you will gain passively each round.

RP Charge is when you get hit by an attack or ability, how much RP you will gain. For example, with the "Rage Belt" item, you get 50% more RP Charge when attacked. So, if an attack would give you 20 RP normally, with the Rage Belt equipped, you'd gain 30 RP.

Update Details:
  • Added "Detail Stats" option under "Status" in the menu
  • Added 25% RP Charge to "Headband of Fury" accessory
  • Fixed bug where a player got stuck in the discount item shop in Nynnyaw
  • Changed Ratt's description to be more clear about "Pinned" status
  • Gave Silver a description
  • Buffed Silver to gain 5 RP each round, and 50% bonus RP when attacked.

April Fool's Foolish Fool's Day Calendar Event is now over!
We hope you got all the foolish items, because they'll never be available again!

New Fortune Teller!

A new fortune teller has been added to the town of Kuli. This fortune teller has two purposes:
  • Gives you an idea of your path of being a true leader or being dishonorable
  • Gives you hints about future events as the story unfolds.
Several players suggested that there be a way to find out your "good points" as you progress. I always wanted this to be a bit nebulous (you don't have a good/bad meter over your head in real life), but the fortune teller will give you an idea of where you fall.

As for the fortune teller describing the future... that's mostly just for fun. However, it might give you some foreshadowing for events to come.

Go back to Kuli and check with the Fortune Teller periodically as the game progresses to read all that she has to say.

Update Details
  • Added a Fortune Teller in Kuli
  • Removed April Fool's Day calendar event, skills, jester, and title splash art
  • Changed Null-Magic Mantle and Negatron Cloak to simply raise Magic defense. The old effect didn't seem to be working as expected. Null-Magic Mangle boosts magic defense by 50, Negatron Cloak boosts it by 90.
  • Changed the icons for Null-Magic Mantle and Negatron Cloak
  • Fixed glitch when entering Kuli and moving left or right, you went back to the world map.
  • Fixed spelling mistake on "Finesse Bracers"
  • You now first obtain Golem at level 50 instead of 40.
  • Changed names of Finn's "Flurry of Daggers" I, II, and III skills to "Dagger Flurry" I, II, and III.
  • Made all of the bosses (except the Zombie Dragon) in Strahl keep have slightly less attack and magic attack power.
  • Fixed Foolish Mega Elixir - it now raises all fainted allies, heals HP and MP, and adds debuff to all affected's stats for 3 rounds.
  • Made the world map mountain path easier to see (people were missing them)

Have fun, adventurers!

Recap of Improved Luck Stat
Luck is a stat that helps your character shrug off status effects. Most stats scale with the rising difficulty of the game. However, status effects are as much a threat at the beginning of the game as they are at the end. There's no scaling with status effects. Therefore, it is pointless to have scaling with the Luck stat.

Each character now has a static Luck stat that will protect them from status effects. For example, unless you use "Luck Up" items on Finn, his Luck stat will be 400 for the entire game. Finn has the highest luck of any regular character and will shrug off status effects a little less than half the time. Galadin and the Golem have the lowest at 150. They have a small chance to prevent a status effect from being put on them.

This should balance the game a bit better in regards to status effects.
