World of Warships - WoWS Admiral

Key Rules of the Season ● Rewards

Key Rules of the Season
Starts: Wed. 16 Sep. 11:00 CEST (UTC+2)
Ends: Tue. 13 Oct. 10:30 CEST (UTC+2)

Format: 8 vs. 8 playing Tier X ships.
Maps and modes: North, Sea of Fortune, and Greece in Domination mode; Sleeping Giant and Warrior's Path in Arms Race mode; and Tears of the Desert in Epicenter mode.

You can earn the Stars needed to climb the ranking ladder by winning battles. At the majority of ranks, a defeat means a lost Star. If you finish first on your team in terms of XP earned, you get to keep your hard-earned Star—even if your team lost the battle.

Those who are new to Ranked Battles will start the Season from Rank 18. Those who participated in the previous Season will receive bonus Stars after the first battle of the current Season: one for each rank attained in the previous Season.

Rewards
For the current Season, victories can bring you up to 5,500 Steel; 2,750 doubloons; one Ranked Token; and many other rewards.

Once the Season ends, all players at Rank 15 or higher will receive a commemorative flag.

League Flags reduce the cost of servicing your ships by 10% and 20% until the end of the Season. Flags awarded for joining Leagues will be removed from player accounts at the end of the Season.

World of Warships - WoWS Admiral

One of the new features of Update 0.9.8 is the Dockyard, where you'll be able to construct Anchorage.

By progressing through missions of the Directives, you can complete 18 out of 20 shipbuilding phases and obtain the corresponding rewards at the Dockyard. In order to complete the 19th and 20th phases, in addition to finishing all the event's Directives, you'll need to purchase any two shipbuilding phases by spending doubloons.

History
In mid-1940, the U.S. Navy issued an order for the construction of a series of Baltimore-class heavy cruisers, which became the standard ships of this type in the U.S. Navy during World War II. At the same time, the General Board of the U.S. Navy assigned the Bureau of Ships the task of developing a design for a completely new heavy cruiser with improved armor, a greater number of main battery guns, and enhanced speed.

Prepared in September 1940, the design, codenamed CA-A—which featured reinforced armor and could theoretically achieve speeds of up to 34 knots—was not much bigger than Baltimore in terms of displacement. Both ships carried nine main battery guns. The CA-C design, presented in March 1941, which fulfilled all the requirements of the General Board, was close in dimensions to the already ordered Alaska-class large cruisers. A balance was found in the preliminary design, codenamed CA-B—with a displacement of 17,000 tons and speed of 33 knots, she had twelve 203 mm guns placed in four turrets.

The CA-B project has been resurrected in the form of World of Warships cruiser Anchorage.

Developer Bulletin 0.9.9
IMPORTANT! Because the Update is still being tested, the information in this Bulletin is tentative and reflects the state of game development at the time of its publication. Some changes and new features may be removed entirely or implemented differently by the time the Update goes live. Screenshots, specific values of certain characteristics, and details of in-game mechanics will not necessarily be relevant after the Update is released.
U.S. Battleships: Part 1 ● Mercenaries ● Other Changes
U.S. Battleships: Part 1
Update 0.9.9 kicks off an event with the new U.S. battleships VIII Kansas and IX Minnesota right in spotlight! These ships will become available in Early Access on the Live Server only when the Update is released. Meanwhile, we invite you to take part in the testing of the event.

Please note: the rewards for activities on the Public Test server may differ from those on the live server. The new U.S. battleships will not be available on the Public Test server.
Features of the Ship Branch
  • Numerous main battery guns with a solid salvo weight and decent firing range, which comes at the expense of longer gun reload times.
  • The ships enjoy great maneuverability for their type, as well as good anti-torpedo protection, but are rather slow.
  • Their decent AA defenses are reinforced by the availability of the Defensive AA Fire consumable.
Early Access: VIII Kansas can be obtained by completing Directives. IX Minnesota can be obtained from random bundles that are available in the Armory in exchange for doubloons.

Rewards for completing Directives: a new temporary resource called American Tokens.

Rewards in exchange for American Tokens: sequentially available bundles with Gold Eagle permanent camouflage patterns for the new U.S. battleships, as well as other rewards.

The Naval Base Port has been updated.

Mercenaries
Division Commanders will now have the option to invite "mercenaries," i.e. players from outside their Clan, to join their Divisions for Clan Battles.

The new feature will allow Clan leaders to test candidates who want to join their Clan in a real combat scenario, or fill any roster gaps without having to actually accept new players into the Clan.

The following rules apply to mercenaries:
  • To add a mercenary to the team, simply invite them to join your Division. You can search for players via the "Divisions" tab in the game client.
  • After a battle, the mercenary receives rewards based on the league of the Clan they went into battle with.
  • However, the mercenary will not receive the associated economic bonuses of the Clan they fought for.
Other Changes
The barbettes and main battery guns have been updated for all ships. Previously, when a shell hit the main battery turret, damage was dealt only to the module itself, and the player received a "Penetration" ribbon without any actual damage having been dealt to the enemy ship. Now, any damage dealt to the main battery turret also entails a reduction in the ship's hit points in the amount of 1/10 of the maximum damage of the shell. This way, hitting a turret will no longer result in a penetration without inflicting actual damage.

We've changed the visual appearance of aiming reticles for carrier squadrons and reworked the aircraft camera performance. This change will affect only the visual component of a squadron's interface, making it easier to aim with all types of armament without affecting gameplay.

Any aircraft operating within a squadron will now change position in a smoother way; the trajectory of bombers moving in on a target will change slightly, and any damage taken by the aircraft in the process will cause it to shake.

We've improved the visual display of water for all graphic settings. In particular, the visual noise applied to the sea has been removed entirely on the horizon. This change will improve game client performance.

The Spaceport has been updated to accommodate the new lighting model and enhanced HDR technology.

We are happy to share more assets from the upcoming collaboration with Transformers!

Autobots and Decepticons will be introduced for a limited time as themed ship skins and commanders later this September. For now, take a look at another comic page and assets below.

Permanent Camouflages and Commanders ● Expendable Camouflages ● Flags and Patches ● Containers ● About Hasbro

Permanent Camouflages and Commanders
Four iconic Transformers characters will be released as unique ship skins and commanders with recognizable phrases and voiceovers. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will set the stage for the heroic Autobots, with Megatron and Rumble to be available as their eternal foes — the Decepticons.

Freedom Fighter
The design of this camouflage is based on Optimus Prime — the courageous and powerful leader of the Autobots. He is a skilled warrior in battle, and a tireless defender of the weak. Born of humble beginnings, he became a hero by raising his voice in support of freedom; he became a legend by picking up a blaster and putting his spark on the line to fight for it.

Gold Bug
The design of this camouflage is based on Bumblebee — one of the youngest members of the Autobot team. An exuberant and energetic adventurer, he looks up to Optimus Prime as a mentor and is completely devoted to his leader’s mission to secure freedom for all sentient beings.

Messenger of Oblivion
The design of this camouflage is based on Megatron — the leader of the Decepticons and one of the most feared warriors in the universe. He believes in bringing order and peace to Cybertron and the universe through dictatorship — his dictatorship.

Crush ’n’ Destroy
The design of this camouflage is based on Rumble from Transformers — one of Soundwave’s spies. What he lacks in discretion, he makes up for in raw power. As the Decepticon demolitions expert, Rumble loves nothing more than breaking things apart and causing chaos and destruction.

Expendable Camouflages
Autobot Ark

Decepticon Disguise

Flags and Patches
Will you mount the Autobots flag or the Decepticons flag? Will you fight for Megatron’s dictatorship, or will you join the mission to secure freedom for all sentient beings?

Containers
From Cybertronian containers, players will have a chance to get distinctive themed permanent and expendable camouflages, unique Transformers Commanders with unique voice-overs, and special signals.

World of Warships - WoWS Admiral

One of the new features of Update 0.9.8 is the Dockyard, where you'll be able to construct Anchorage.

VIII Anchorage is a multipurpose heavy cruiser that performs best when fighting at short and medium ranges. The ship is armed with twelve 203 mm guns mounted in four triple turrets, making her capable of unleashing a weighty salvo. Anchorage's AP shells have enhanced ricochet angles like those of the researchable American heavy cruisers. The Hydroacoustic Search consumable and torpedo armament she carries enable Anchorage to perform effectively in close quarters combat, while her Smoke Generator—a feature not typically found on American heavy cruisers—will help her escape situations where she finds herself under concentrated enemy fire.

Rules of the Event ● Directives ● Rewards

Rules of the Event
The rules of the new Dockyard are similar to those of the Hamburg Dockyard:
  • The shipbuilding process is divided into 20 phases.
  • These phases can be completed by progressing through Directives of the event, purchasing discounted Starter Packs, or exchanging 1,750 doubloons for each phase.
  • The Directives will span two updates—0.9.8 and 0.9.9, and the Dockyard itself will remain in your Ports until the end of Update 0.9.10.
  • In total, you can complete 18 out of 20 shipbuilding phases by progressing through Directives. Two of the 20 phases must be completed by spending doubloons.
  • VIII Anchorage and her National camouflage, along with a 10-skill Commander, Port slot, and commemorative flag, await you upon completion of the 20th phase.

Directives

The new game event has 48 missions spread across six Directives. The first Directive will become available with the release of Update 0.9.8, while those that follow will be unlocked each week.

Completing each Directive will progress you through three shipbuilding phases:
  • Two shipbuilding phases are completed by accomplishing specific missions that form part of the Directive.
  • One shipbuilding phase is completed by finishing the entire Directive.
Detailed information about the Directives is available in the game client.
Rewards
By progressing through missions of the Directives, you can complete 18 out of 20 shipbuilding phases and obtain the corresponding rewards at the Dockyard.

By accomplishing the first two Directives, you can complete up to six shipbuilding phases and obtain the following rewards:
  • 7,500 Coal
  • 1 day of Warships Premium Account
  • 2x Gift containers, holding five special signals each
  • 10x Stars'n'Stripes camouflages

Completing four out of the six Directives will progress you through up to twelve shipbuilding phases and grant you even more valuable rewards:
  • 100,000 Free XP
  • 7,500 Coal
  • 4 days of Warships Premium Account
  • 10x signals of each of the following types: Wyvern, Dragon, and Scylla
  • 2x Gift containers
  • 15x Stars'n'Stripes camouflages

Accomplishing all Directives of the event will progress you through 18 shipbuilding phases and grant you all the available rewards:
  • 100,000 Free XP
  • 7,500 Coal
  • 4 days of Warships Premium Account
  • 10x signals of each of the following types: Hydra, Basilisk, Scylla, Leviathan, Dragon, Red Dragon, Ouroboros, and Wyvern
  • 7x Gift containers
  • 15x Stars'n'Stripes camouflages

In order to complete the 19th and 20th phases, in addition to progressing through all the Directives, you'll need to spend doubloons to pass through any two shipbuilding phases.
  • Reward for completing phase 19: 10,000 Coal
  • Final reward: VIII Anchorage in the National camouflage, a Commander with 10 skill points, Port slot, and a commemorative flag

If you would rather not wait, you can complete all the shipbuilding phases in exchange for doubloons and thus obtain all the available rewards immediately. If you decide to complete construction of the ship at the Dockyard by using doubloons, you can still progress through the Directives. In that case, you'll get 600 Research Points for each completed phase instead of the standard rewards. Thus, you can earn up to 10,800 Research Points in total. If you haven't yet accessed the Research Bureau, you'll gain access to it immediately with the first Research Points you earn. At the same time, you'll receive 10,000 Research Points as a one-time reward and unlock the possibility to earn Research Points by completing Daily Missions.

If you want to complete shipbuilding phases at a discount, you can purchase two Starter Packs:
  • Two shipbuilding phases for 3,000 doubloons
  • Eight shipbuilding phases for 8,000 doubloons
Please note: you can purchase the Starter Packs only before you complete the first four shipbuilding phases by progressing through Directives of the event.

Dockyard

Another new feature of Update 0.9.8 is the Dockyard, where you'll be able to construct VIII Anchorage. The rules of the new Dockyard are in many ways similar to those applied to the Hamburg Dockyard, but the list of rewards for completing the shipbuilding phases has changed. For example, completing phase 12 will bring you 100,000 Free XP.

  • The construction process of the Dockyard comprises 20 phases.
  • Each shipbuilding phase can be completed by finishing the Directives of the event, or by spending 1,750 doubloons per phase.
  • The Directives will span two updates—0.9.8 and 0.9.9, and the Dockyard itself will remain in your Ports until the end of Update 0.9.10.
  • You can complete 18 out of 20 shipbuilding phases by accomplishing Directives. In order to complete the 19th and 20th phases, in addition to completing all the Directives, you'll need to purchase any two shipbuilding phases by spending doubloons.
  • VIII Anchorage and her National camouflage, along with a 10-skill Commander, Port slot, and commemorative flag, await you upon completing the 20th phase.
The full details will be published in a dedicated article.

With the release of Update 0.9.8, World of Warships begins its Fifth Anniversary celebration!

The festive Update is inspired by the history of shipbuilding and will bring many new features to the game: the revamped Designer's Table Port, the “Five Epochs of the Navy” permanent Campaign and collection of the same name, a new battle type, and fresh first-victory bonuses.

Anniversary ● First-Victory Bonuses ● “Five Epochs of the Navy” Campaign ● "Five Epochs of the Navy" Collection ● Asymmetric Battles ● Marathon with Gifts and a Festive Stream
Anniversary
Starts: Thu. 03 Sep. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)
Ends: Wed. 30 Sep. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)

As we cross the threshold of our fifth year, we're marking the occasion by offering you an array of gifts and fresh in-game activities.

Join the celebrations by entering the updated Designer’s Table Port, which has changed a lot over the past year and become even more festive—we've added a cake, postcards, confetti, and ribbons creatively scattered on the table. The collection of ship models has also been updated with new representatives!

First-Victory Bonuses
Be sure to take a careful look at your ship carousel. Ships with a first-victory bonus applied will be marked with a special symbol. During Update 0.9.8, players will be able to receive a festive bonus for their first victories playing specific ships in Random, Co-op, Ranked, and Asymmetric Battles, as well as in Operations.

List of Rewards
  • Tiers V–VII: 2x World of Warships Anniversary camouflages
  • Tier VIII: 1x Gift container
  • Tier IX: 2x Gift containers
  • Tier X: 1x supercontainer

A Gift container holds five special signals of the same type (Dragon, Red Dragon, Wyvern, Ouroboros, Hydra, Basilisk, Scylla, or Leviathan).

You can receive the first-victory bonus for each ship only once during Update 0.9.8. The bonuses will also be applied to ships purchased, bought back, or dropped from containers during Update 0.9.8.
“Five Epochs of the Navy” Campaign
The new permanent Campaign comprises 50 tasks grouped into five missions, each of which is dedicated to a specific shipbuilding epoch. To finish the Campaign, you'll need to complete tasks playing ships of various tiers: starting from Tier II–IV ships for the first mission, and progressing to Tiers VIII–X for the final mission. Most of the tasks must be completed playing certain ships related to the history of the navy. For example, some of the tasks of the first mission are inspired by the development of battleship building technologies and should be completed playing battleships of this era, such as III South Carolina, III Kawachi, IV Gangut, or III Dreadnought—all of which contributed to the adoption of the name given to this period of naval history.

However, you can complete the Campaign, collect all the containers of the new collection, and obtain the final reward by completing the first three tasks of each mission playing any ships of the relevant tiers.

The reward for completing the Campaign is an Epoch permanent camouflage, which can be mounted on any one Tier IX ship, except for IX AL Sov. Rossiya.

The first mission will become available with the release of Update 0.9.8, while those that follow will be unlocked each week.
Please note: you can complete tasks of each mission multiple times. This will allow you to continue earning Stars with each completion, but you'll receive the reward for completing the task for the first time only.
"Five Epochs of the Navy" Collection
Update 0.9.8 ushers in the "Five Epochs of the Navy" collection, which comprises five sections with six elements in each. Each section is dedicated to a specific period in the naval history of the first half of the 20th century—from ships of the dreadnought era to those of World War II and the post-war years. Having completed the entire collection, you'll have learned about the construction history, design features, and fates of prominent representatives of each shipbuilding epoch.

The reward for completing each section is 1 day of Warships Premium Account. The reward for completing the entire collection is an Epoch permanent camouflage.

Elements of the collection can only be obtained from the containers of the same name. The exchange rate for duplicate elements is 1:1. To exchange duplicates, you need to select a vacant slot in a collection section and confirm that you want to exchange your duplicates for the missing item in the window that appears.

You can obtain 30 "Five Epochs of the Navy" containers by completing tasks of the same-name Campaign. You can also obtain containers for participating in the official World of Warships streams! To do so, activate bonus codes given during the streams and then complete special combat missions.

A "Five Epochs of the Navy" container includes:
  • One element of the "Five Epochs of the Navy" collection.
  • 1x World of Warships Anniversary camouflage.
  • One of the following items: 2x signals of the same type (Zulu, Papa Papa, Equal Speed Charlie London or India Bravo Terrathree); or 500 Free XP; or 50,000 credits.

Asymmetric Battles
Start: Wed. 02 Sep. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)
End: Wed. 16 Sep. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)

We invite you to take part in Asymmetric Battles—a new temporary battle type with teams of different sizes and tiers.

The new battle type is inspired by actual historical battles, which usually took place with an unequal number of ships on each side.

Asymmetric Battles Rules
  • A team of 5–7 Tier VII–VIII ships will fight against a team of 9–12 Tier V–VI ships in Domination mode. The types and numbers of ships are matched in such a way that the forces of both teams in battle are as equal as possible.
  • Battles will be fought on the following maps: Ultimate Frontier, Naval Station Newport, and Killer Whale.

  • To enter battle playing Tier VII–VIII ships, you'll need 500 Battle Tokens—a new temporary resource.
  • The Tokens are earned in Asymmetric Battles, regardless of the battle results. However, you won't receive the Tokens if you are inactive in battle.
    • Tier V: 250 Tokens per battle
    • Tier VI: 150 Tokens per battle
    • Tier VII: 200 Tokens per battle
    • Tier VIII: 25 Tokens per battle
    • You'll receive 1,000 Tokens each day upon logging in to the game.
  • If the waiting time spent by the first player in the queue exceeds 3 minutes, the teams in Asymmetric Battle can be complemented with bots.
  • You cannot form Divisions in Asymmetric Battles.
  • There will be no battle achievements in Asymmetric Battles.
Please note: Battle Tokens are only used to participate in Asymmetric Battles.
A special combat mission is available for Tier V–VI ships. Completing the mission will reward you with four Gift containers. You'll find the details in the game client.

Marathon with Gifts and a Festive Stream
We invite you to watch the best episodes of the Naval Legends series and enjoy some gifts in the process!

Be on the lookout for bonus codes shown in each episode of the historical marathon. As with the in-game Daily Shipments, all gifts are revealed in advance! Each bonus code will unlock a chain of combat missions. Complete all of them to get four containers of the new "Five Epochs of the Navy" collection and 1,000,000 credits!

Want even more gifts? If we manage to get the indicated number of new subscribers by the time each video is published, the reward of credits will be replaced with Сoal.
