Rules of the Event
The Dockyard is where you’re going to build cruiser X Puerto Rico.
The building process is automatic and will occur continuously between December 17 and January 14, even when you’re in the heat of battle or after closing the game client.
Shipbuilding Points will be credited every second, progressing the ship through the building scale from one phase to the next.
The shipbuilding process is split into 36 phases, with rewards issued for each phase you complete.
To finish the construction of the ship in time, use boosters that you can get in exchange for a special temporary resource—Shipbuilding Tokens. The Tokens can be obtained by progressing through Directives, Daily Missions, and Daily Shipments.
Use a booster as soon as possible—you’ll immediately receive Shipbuilding Points and also increase the rate at which they are accrued.
Some Dockyard boosters are available in exchange for doubloons.
In line with tradition, ships in your Port of Tier V and above will have a Snowflake. The first victorious battles playing each of these ships will reward you with Coal, Steel, and Santa's Gift containers.
Available Rewards
Update 0.8.11 will give you the chance to grab a lot of gifts for participating in various New Year-inspired activities. Among the gifts, the following particularly stand out:
VII Gorizia
More than 12x Santa's Gift containers
3x Santa's Big Gift containers
1x Santa's Mega Gift container
41x Shipbuilding containers
5x New Year permanent camouflages
The new cruiser X Puerto Rico, with a one-of-a-kind festive camouflage
Complete the Directive missions and progress through shipbuilding phases to claim a vast array of other goodies such as signals, camouflages, Coal, Steel, and days of Warships Premium Account.
Event Rewards: Complete List
One of the most enticing rewards in Update 0.8.11 is cruiser VII Gorizia. She can be obtained by completing the third Directive, which will be available from December 20.
Gorizia unlocks a chain of special combat missions that will reward you with the following researchable ships: VI Furious, VI Izmail, VI Guépard, and VI Trento.
Santa's Gift containers, which have chances of dropping a Premium ship in addition to other nice rewards:
2x containers on the screen with the cargo container ship in the Port.
2x containers in a free-of-charge bundle available in the festive section of the Armory.
3x containers in Daily Shipments.
1x container for completing the sixth phase of the shipbuilding process at the Dockyard.
4x containers for completing Directives.
Containers are given for blowing off Snowflakes from Tier X ships. Throughout the Update, your first victorious battle playing each of your Tier X ships will bring you one Santa's Gift container.
Santa's Big Gift containers:
1x container issued for completing the "Shipbuilding" collection.
1x container issued for completing phase 12 of the shipbuilding process.
1x container issued for progressing through the missions of Directives.
1x Santa's Mega Gift container can be obtained for completing phase 18 of the shipbuilding process.
Shipbuilding containers carrying elements of the new collection which demonstrates various stages of the shipbuilding process:
24x collection containers issued for completing Directive missions.
12x containers issued for completing Gorizia’s combat missions.
5x containers delivered with Daily Shipments.
New Year permanent camouflage patterns that can be applied to the majority of Tier VIII ships:
1x camouflage for progressing through the missions of Directives.
1x camouflage for completing each of the 24th and 30th phases of the shipbuilding process.
2x camouflages issued for completing Gorizia’s combat missions.
More details on rewards will be available in the game client.
Grab 'Em All Fast
Even if you don't have time to enter at least one battle, you can still log in to the game to collect the rewards that will drop from Daily Shipments. Daily Shipment rewards contain 75 Shipbuilding Tokens that can be used to speed up the construction of X Puerto Rico. Keep in mind that Daily Shipments will be available for 21 days, and you can skip as many as seven of them—and still collect all rewards.
Also, keep an eye on Daily Missions, which can bring you up to 640 Shipbuilding Tokens to assist you in building Puerto Rico.
Don't rush to knock off the Snowflakes from all of your ships. It would be a bit more expedient to start by completing Directives using suitable ships first, and then move on to dealing with the Snowflakes on the remaining ships.
Directives can bring you 1,950 Shipbuilding Tokens. Don’t waste time—get started! Promptly exchange them for shipbuilding boosters. The sooner you activate a booster, the faster Puerto Rico’s construction will proceed and the more rewards that will eventually come your way.
Snowflakes will be available for the entire duration of the Update. Focus on enhancing your Dockyard first, then blow them off your ships afterwards.
Watch out for the opening dates of the Directives. There are seven of them this time, and they are set to become available every 4–5 days.
The Directive missions are divided into "combat" and "economic" ones. Pay attention to the conditions of each mission before selecting the most suitable ship to accomplish it.
Example: in order to complete a mission that requires you to earn ribbons for hitting hostile ships with secondary battery guns, deploy a high-tiered French or German battleship.
To swiftly accomplish economic missions that require you to earn a certain amount of credits and XP, use economic and special signals, as well as camouflage patterns. Don't forget that Premium ships generate a higher yield in each battle!
Getting VII Gorizia from the Premium Shop will enable you to complete the first three Directives faster. The trick here is that once you complete the third Directive, you'll get back the cost of the ship in the form of doubloons.
We recommend that you enhance your Dockyard as soon as possible, because boosters will give you an immediate bonus to Shipbuilding Points, as well as interim rewards for completing the shipbuilding phases. The rewards range from Coal to Steel, Santa's Gift containers, and days of Premium Account.
Puerto Rico: Building the Ship
If you decide to really go for it and obtain Puerto Rico without the aid of Premium boosters:
The first Directive should be completed before building commences.
Directives 2–5 should be completed within 3 days of opening.
The sixth Directive should be completed within 4 days of opening.
The last Directive should be completed no later than 24 hours prior to end of the overall event.
Complete 20 Daily Missions and collect all the rewards from Daily Shipments.
In order to get the most out of boosters, spend your Tokens as soon as possible.
If you’re ready to get only one Premium booster:
The first Directive should be completed before building commences.
Directives 2–4 should be completed within 3 days of opening.
The fifth Directive should be completed within 6 days of opening.
Finish the first 15 Daily Missions and collect all the rewards from Daily Shipments.
In order to get the most out of boosters, spend your Tokens as soon as possible.
If you’re ready to get two Premium boosters:
The first Directive should be completed within 5 days of opening.
Directives 2–3 should be completed within 6 days of the completion of each previous one.
The fourth Directive should be completed within 12 days of the completion of the third.
Finish the first 13 Daily Missions and collect all the rewards from Daily Shipments.
In order to get the most out of boosters, spend your Tokens as soon as possible.
If you’re ready to get three Premium boosters:
The first Directive should be completed within 7 days of opening.
The second Directive should be completed within 7 days of the completion of the first one.
The third Directive should be completed within 14 days of the completion of the second one.
Collect all the rewards from Daily Shipments.
In this case, Daily Missions Tokens aren’t required at all, but can provide an additional boost if desired.
In order to get the most out of boosters, spend your Tokens as soon as possible.
In any event, starting from phase 18 of the shipbuilding process, you'll be able to complete the ship immediately by using doubloons. The more active you are during the event, the less the ship's construction will cost: the cost will go down at phases 24 and 30 of the shipbuilding process. First of all, get all the boosters available for tokens, and If you want to buy doubloon boosters, it's better to do that early. Use doubloons to complete the ship only after all other possible sources of Shipbuilding Points have been exhausted. You’ll still be able to complete the unfinished ship during the next Update, after the shipbuilding process comes to an end. So, there’s no need to rush, actually.
Even if you won't make it to X Puerto Rico, it's still worth building boosters to get rewards for completing the shipbuilding phases.

New Year
New Year Gifts
Enter the Armory in Update 0.8.11 to obtain two Santa's Gift containers for free.
Two more Santa's Gift containers await you on the container ship in your Port.
A new section has been added to the Armory—Santa's Gifts. Here, you'll be able to exchange doubloons for various bundles with three types of Santa's Gift containers. These have chances of dropping one of 86 Premium ships, as well as other rewards.
Snowflakes
As has become a good old tradition, ships of Tier V and above will feature Snowflakes with holiday bonuses. Depending on the ship's tier, you'll receive Coal, Steel, or Santa's Gift containers for blowing them off.
Please note: each Snowflake can be blown off a ship only once during Update 0.8.11.
New Year Directives
The new game event offers 82 missions spread across seven Directives. For completing Directives and their missions, you'll get rewards. The following particularly stand out:
VII Gorizia
A New Year-themed permanent camouflage that can be applied to the majority of Tier VIII ships
A Big Santa’s Gift container
Four Santa's Gift containers that have chances of dropping Premium ships
1,950 Shipbuilding Tokens—needed to buy construction boosters for the Dockyard
24 Shipbuilding containers that drop items from the new collection
Nine Port slots
18,180 Coal
2,250 Steel
To obtain VII Gorizia, you can play at your own pace to complete five out of 13 missions of the third Directive. The remaining four Directives are aimed at the most determined players—those Captains who have their hearts set on speeding up the construction of the much-desired cruiser X Puerto Rico. The Directives will be available for completion until January 14.
Constructing a Ship
A Dockyard will appear in everyone's Ports. This is where U.S. Tier X cruiser Puerto Rico will be laid down. The process of constructing the ship is split into six stages, divided into a total of 36 phases. To complete the ship, you must go through all the stages of construction—from laying the keel, to installing the ship’s armament and deck equipment. Completing each stage will bring you valuable rewards, such as Santa's Gift containers, permanent festive camouflages for Tier VIII ships, Steel, Coal, and days of Warships Premium Account.
Complete all the stages to get cruiser X Puerto Rico along with an exclusive permanent camouflage.
The construction process will continue automatically from December 16 to January 13. In order to build the ship in time, you will need to use boosters. Some of them are available in exchange for doubloons, others—for a special temporary resource called Shipbuilding Tokens.
Don’t want to spend any doubloons on boosters to finish building Puerto Rico on time? It’s possible to build Puerto Rico using only the boosters available for Shipbuilding Tokens. To achieve this, complete the event’s Directives, pass through Daily Missions, and don't miss any Daily Shipments to get more Shipbuilding Tokens as soon as possible and activate boosters in the Dockyard.
Shipbuilding Collection
The new collection consists of 20 elements related to various stages of the shipbuilding process, taking a WWII-era U.S. large cruiser as the example. The collection offers you insights into how a warship is built from a variety of viewpoints. It starts from the keel-laying stage, then moves to the perspectives of those involved in the construction process, the machinery used at dockyards, and the ship’s armament and equipment. Elements of the collection can be obtained from Shipbuilding containers only.
Have you been waging war on our virtual seas for some years already? Then it's highly likely that you've assembled a very impressive collection of rare in-game items. The Captain's Logbook will allow you to track your progress in collecting ships, patches, Commanders, camouflages, and flags. Click your nickname in the upper part of the Port interface and select “Captain's Logbook” from the drop-down menu to view all the in-game items you've accumulated.
In Update 0.8.11, three Clan Brawls with an unusual format await you. Your victories will be rewarded with credits, Coal, Elite Commander XP, Steel, and Santa's Gift containers.

The fifth Brawl will be fought on December 21, in a 9 vs. 9 format with Tier V ships
The sixth Brawl will be fought on December 28, in a 4 vs. 4 format with Tier VIII ships
The seventh Brawl will be fought on January 4, in a 12 vs. 12 format with Tier X ships
Each Clan will be able to select its preferred prime time:
CIS 15:00 – 20:00 UTC
EU 17:00 – 22:00 UTC
NA 00:00 – 05:00 UTC
ASIA 11:00 – 16:00 UTC

Ranked Sprint
Starts:Fri. 27 Dec. 10:00 CET (UTC+1) Ends:Fri. 03 Jan. 09:30 CET (UTC+1)
In Update 0.8.11, the 10th Season of Ranked Sprints will be held in a 1 vs. 1 format with Tier VIII ships in Domination mode. Battles will be fought within a reduced combat area on maps you already know well. The limited space will make battles more dynamic, despite the minimal number of participants. The usual ship class matchmaking restrictions are disabled for this Sprint. For example, when playing a battleship, you might find yourself opposing a cruiser.
You can read more about the rules and rewards of the Ranked Sprint in a dedicated article on our website. Stay tuned for more news!
Game Balance Changes
Japanese Tier IV Aircraft Carrier Hōshō
The aiming parameters of torpedo bombers have been changed
Previously, the reticule of IV Hōshō's torpedo bombers wasn't affected by maneuvering, which made aiming significantly easier. Now, the possible torpedo drop angle increases as you maneuver. This change will reduce the aircraft carrier's efficiency and restore the parameter progression of Japanese torpedo bombers.
U.S. Tier X Aircraft Carrier Midway
The torpedo stats have been changed:
Maximum damage has been increased from 4,233 to 5,067
The chances of causing flooding have been increased from 33% to 42%
After the recent changes, X Midway became inferior to other ships. The increased torpedo damage will improve the torpedo bombers' results, while Midway herself will become more effective.
U.S. Tier X Cruiser Salem
The action time of Surveillance Radar has been increased from 25 to 40 seconds
This change will increase X Salem's efficiency in battle and make her better able to counter destroyers and control key positions on the map.
German Battleships
The settings for the shell dispersion ellipse of their main battery guns are now the same as those of U.S. and British battleships
This change will increase the accuracy of German battleships' fire.
Changes to upgrades
Hydroacoustic Search Modification 1 can now be installed on any Tier VI ship and higher, as long as it's equipped with the Hydroacoustic Search consumable. This upgrade can now be mounted on German battleships.
Visual and Other Enhancements
We are continuing to improve visuals in our game.
The Trident and Neighbors maps, as well as the Hamburg and Marseilles Ports, have been updated with the new lighting model and enhanced HDR technology.
We’ve added shadow stabilization when moving and rotating the camera. This reduces jittering and flickering.
The game launching process has also been improved: we’ve updated the loading screen and increased the loading speed of the game client.
Armory
The "Commanders" Section
A new unique German Commander, Günther Lütjens, is now available for 175,000 Coal. He has four talents:
Secondary Armament Expert: upon earning 100 "Secondary Battery Hits" ribbons, the secondary battery reload time speeds up by 15%. The talent can be activated once per battle.
Iron Strike: upon earning 140 "Main Battery Hits" ribbons, the main battery reload time speeds up by 7.5%. The talent can be activated once per battle.
Exemplary Reconnaissance: upon earning three "Spotted" ribbons, your ship's HP partially restores. The talent restores 300 HP per second and its action time in seconds is equal to ship's tier (i.e. 5 seconds for a Tier V ship, 7 seconds for a Tier VII ship, etc.). This talent can be activated multiple times.
Air Superiority: upon earning 30 "Rocket Hits", "Bomb Hits", or "Torpedo Hits" ribbons, aircraft restoration speeds up by 10%. This talent can be activated only once per battle.
The talents don't work in Clan Battles and training rooms.
The new Commander also has the following improved skills:
Preventive Maintenance: –45% to the risk of modules being incapacitated (by default: –30%).
Expert Marksman: +1 deg/s to the traverse speed of guns with a caliber above 139 mm; +3 deg/s to the traverse speed of guns with a caliber up to and including 139 mm (by default: 0.7 deg/s / +2.5 deg/s).
Improved Engine Boost: +12.5% to the engine boost action time for the aircraft carrier's squadrons (by default: +10%).
Like other unique historical commanders, Günther Lütjens has some special customizations: a broad pennant, colored shell tracers, and a signal flare that gets fired over the ship when one of his talents is activated.
Günther Lütjens comes with 10 skill points and a specialization for I Hermelin.
Coupons
The replenishment date of the "Ships for Doubloons" coupon has been changed from March 14, 2020, to December 26, 2019. If you use your coupon prior to and including December 26, you'll be able to moor a new ship in your Port with a discount before the New Year.
As a New Year gift, we’ve added three single-use coupons for the "Ships for Doubloons" category, which grant 10%, 15%, and 20% discounts. The coupons will become available on December 26, and remain active until January 8.
The "Camouflages" Section
We’ve added New Year permanent camouflages for Tier VIII ships that are available in exchange for doubloons.
Specifics of the New Year permanent camouflages:
Can be mounted on the majority of Tier VIII ships.
Ships with this camouflage have a special festive horn sound.
An unlimited number of these camouflages can be stored in the Inventory.
Once mounted on a ship, such a camouflage acquires the properties of a typical permanent camouflage and gets assigned to the ship.
The New Year camouflages can be obtained as rewards for completing Directives, combat missions for Gorizia, and shipbuilding stages at the Dockyard.
New Year camouflages can't be mounted on aircraft carriers or VIII ARP Takao, VIII HSF Harekaze, VIII AL Yukikaze, and VIII AL Montpelier.

Build Your Ship
A Dockyard will appear in your Ports, where U.S. cruiser X Puerto Rico—one of the design concepts of U.S. large cruiser Alaska—will be laid down. Puerto Rico is one of the most heavily armored cruisers in the game, and boasts 12 deadly 305 mm guns.
The process of building the ship is split into six stages, which are divided into a total of 36 phases. To complete the ship, you must go through all phases of construction, from laying the keel to installing the ship’s armament and deck equipment. Completing each phase will change the look of the ship and bring you valuable rewards.
Complete all phases to get cruiser X Puerto Rico along with an exclusive permanent camouflage, and a Commander with 10 skill points!
Shipbuilding progress
The building process is automatic and proceeds in real time. Shipbuilding Points are added every second, with the ship progressing through the building scale from one phase to the next.
Key rules
Progress along the scale will start automatically on December 16, even if you don't log in to the game on that date.
The shipbuilding process can be accelerated using certain Dockyard enhancements called "boosters".
The shipbuilding process will continue even after you log out of the game.
Starting from phase 18, you'll be given the option to complete construction of the ship immediately in exchange for doubloons.
Don't forget to collect the available rewards for completing phases!
Please note: it will be impossible to complete the ship in time without using boosters.
The building process will continue automatically only until January 13, but the Dockyard will remain in your Ports until the end of Update 0.9.0. This means that you’ll still be able to complete the cruiser by using doubloons or Shipbuilding Points, the latter of which are granted immediately after activating boosters.
Boosters
Building a cruiser is no walk in the park. To build the ship in time, it’s essential that you use boosters.
Every booster will instantly bring you Shipbuilding Points and also increase the rate at which they are accrued. The earlier you get a booster, the more Shipbuilding Points it will bring.
Boosters become available sequentially. The next booster can be purchased only after obtaining the preceding one.
To get boosters, you’ll need a special temporary resource—Shipbuilding Tokens.
You don't have to wait for the first minutes of the ship’s construction period to activate your first boosters. You can do it immediately once Update 0.8.11 goes live to get your first Shipbuilding Points and rewards. On the first day of construction, i.e. December 16, you’ll receive a permanent bonus to the speed of shipbuilding.
Please note: boosters can be obtained in exchange for Shipbuilding Tokens until the end of Update 0.9.0, but after January 13, they will provide an immediate bonus to Shipbuilding Points only.
It’s entirely possible to build X Puerto Rico using only the boosters available for Shipbuilding Tokens. To achieve this, simply complete the event’s Directives, pass through Daily Missions, and don't miss any Daily Shipments to get more Shipbuilding Tokens as soon as possible and activate boosters in the Dockyard.
You can also speed up the shipbuilding process with boosters that are available in exchange for doubloons. These work in the same way as the boosters available for Shipbuilding Tokens, but they can only be activated until January 6. You'll also get a Santa's Mega Gift container with every booster you buy for doubloons.
A total of 12 boosters are available in the Dockyard:
The first booster will be activated free of charge. You can activate it immediately after Update 0.8.11 goes live to instantly obtain your first Shipbuilding Points and corresponding rewards.
Eight boosters are available in exchange for Shipbuilding Tokens. Their total cost is 2,400 Shipbuilding Tokens:
The first and second boosters cost 200 Tokens
The third and fourth boosters cost 300 Tokens
The fifth to eighth boosters cost 350 Tokens
Three boosters are available in exchange for doubloons. Their total cost is 24,000 doubloons.
Shipbuilding Tokens
Shipbuilding Tokens can be obtained by:
Completing the Directives of the event (1,950 Tokens):
200 Tokens for the first Directive
250 Tokens for the second Directive
300 Tokens for each of the third to seventh Directives
640 Tokens for progressing through Daily Missions in the period between December 12 and January 12, inclusive.
75 Tokens from Daily Shipments.
Got enough Shipbuilding Tokens? Then don’t waste time! Spend them as soon as possible on boosters! Even if you aren’t intent on building X Puerto Rico, you still can get a variety of rewards for completing the various construction phases. Activating all the boosters as early as possible will ensure that you maximize your rewards.
In total, you can earn as many as 2,665 Shipbuilding Tokens throughout Update 0.8.11. When Update 0.9.1 hits the servers, any Shipbuilding Tokens will be converted to credits at a rate of 1:7,500.
The Directives and ship construction feature will be available for all players with open access to combat missions in their Service Record. Novice players will have to play 70 battles in any accessible battle mode to unlock them. More details will be available in the game client.
Join us for the New Year celebrations by blowing off Snowflakes, completing Directives, and perhaps most significantly—building cruiser Puerto Rico!
On December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy commenced a surprise attack on US Naval Station Pearl Harbor that changed history forever. This Day of Infamy led the United States to formally join the Second World War, with the ensuing Pacific Campaign going on to become a definitive chapter in the history of modern naval warfare.
History is never made in a vacuum. Let Nicholas "The_Chieftain" Moran walk you through a detailed timeline of the events leading up to the attack.
This weekend, you can charge into battle with your favorite USN and IJN ships.

Details
Alaska B
Alaska is a representative of a special type of ship, standing somewhere between a cruiser and a battleship. She was officially classified as a battlecruiser.
She resides at Tier IX in the game. The ship has large dimensions, boasts an extensive pool of HP, carries powerful 305 mm artillery, and is equipped with a diverse set of consumables. Alaska excels at destroying cruisers at mid-range distances.
IX Alaska B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier IX Alaska—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
In terms of artillery armament, the ship carries guns similar to those of a battleship—nine 305 mm main guns placed in three turrets. In comparison to other cruisers, she features excellent armor-penetrating capabilities and has high chances of setting the enemy on fire with HE shells, but her downside is a slow reload time of 20 seconds. Her maximum firing range is 19 km, but the ship demonstrates her best combat performance at distances of 10–15 km
This cruiser comes with a remarkable 60,800 hit points—high for this ship type
In battle, the ship can make use of the following consumables located in four slots: Damage Control Party in slot 1; Defensive AA Fire or Hydroacoustic Search in slot 2; Surveillance Radar, Spotting Aircraft, or Fighter in slot 3; and Repair Party in slot 4
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 100% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 20%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Graf Zeppelin B
Graf Zeppelin is a Tier VIII aircraft carrier named after Ferdinand von Zeppelin, a German airship developer. The ship's peculiar feature is the high speed of her bombers and torpedo bombers. This allows them to execute more frequent air strikes and then quickly leave the enemy’s AA defense range after attacking, which significantly increases their survivability. While her attack aircraft are relatively slow, this is compensated for by the unique configuration of their Engine Cooling consumable which remains active for longer than usual. The ship has other peculiarities, including a powerful secondary battery that’s not typical for aircraft carriers.
VIII Graf Zeppelin B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VIII Graf Zeppelin—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Attack aircraft: eight aircraft in a squadron, with two planes on an attack run. Each attack aircraft carries four rockets. Maximum rocket damage—4,450 HP; armor penetration—40 mm; chances of setting a target on fire—25%. The Engine Cooling consumable lasts twice as long (10 seconds) and has an additional charge, which allows Engine Boost to be used longer and more often
Torpedo bombers: nine aircraft in a squadron, with three planes on an attack run. Each aircraft carries one torpedo. Torpedo range—6 km; maximum damage—5,333 HP
Bombers: eight aircraft in a squadron, with two planes on an attack run. Each aircraft carries one AP bomb. Maximum bomb damage—7,000 HP. Graf Zeppelin's bombers require less time to prepare for an attack and have a unique circle-shaped crosshair. This allows them to approach the target from any convenient angle
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Scharnhorst B
Scharnhorst is one of the most famous German Navy ships of the late 1930s. She was often classified as a battlecruiser because of her 283 mm main battery guns. In World of Warships, she has a firing rate and speed unlike any other battleship. Her armor is also as good as that of the majority of other ships of the same type, making her an unsurpassed cruiser hunter.
VII Scharnhorst B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VII Scharnhorst—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Nine 283 mm guns mounted in three turrets. While her main battery caliber is inferior to that of same-type ships of her tier, Scharnhorst boasts a high rate of fire (20 seconds) and good turret traverse speed (25 seconds)
Advantageous citadel location: being underwater, its position makes it nearly invulnerable in medium- and short-range encounters
Maximum speed—30 knots
Torpedo armament that is typical of most German cruisers: three per side; range—6 km
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Sims B
Tier VII destroyer Sims is an agile master of maneuvering and providing active support to her teammates. This ship is swift in everything she does: from her movement speed to her rate of fire, as well as her turret traverse speed. She is certainly your ship of choice if explosive gameplay holds appeal.
VII Sims B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VII Sims—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Four 127 mm guns with an excellent reload time of 3.3 seconds
Two choices for torpedo armament: faster torpedoes (65 knots) with a reach of 7 km, or slower ones that can run as far as 10.5 km at 49 knots
The ship can reach speeds of 38.5 knots and has a rudder-shift time of only 2.7 seconds
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%

Details
Tirpitz B
One of the most famous German ships—the legendary Tirpitz. Historically, and in the game, this ship is distinguished for her durability. She combines excellent armor protection, a fantastic secondary gun battery complement, and torpedo launchers. This is the battleship of choice for enjoyable close-range sorties.
VIII Tirpitz B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VIII Tirpitz—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Perfect survivability and armor protection—a defining feature of German battleships
This ship wields guns of a smaller caliber (380 mm) compared to those of other same-tier battleships, but her main battery has an enhanced rate of fire
Heavy secondary battery complement with a 7.5 km standard range
Access to the Fighter or Spotting Aircraft consumables
Torpedoes—a type of armament not typically found on battleships
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Atago B
Atago, one of the old-timers in World of Warships, offers a pure Japanese gameplay experience. She's a universal soldier, excelling in medium- to close-range clashes. Numerous main guns allow you to hold your own in encounters with same-tier cruisers and destroyers, while powerful torpedoes with a 10 km range turn Atago into a tough opponent, even for battleships.
VIII Atago B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VIII Atago—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Ten 203 mm guns that deliver high damage and have decent ballistics
Two quadruple-tube torpedo launchers per side with good aiming angles. Maximum torpedo damage—17,233 HP; torpedo range—10 km; speed—62 knots.
Excellent top speed of 35.5 knots and maneuverability that's atypical of the majority of heavy cruisers
Access to the Repair Party consumable, which is unavailable for most Tier VIII cruisers
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Asashio B
Asashio is a Japanese Tier VIII destroyer suited to stealthy gameplay. A classic combination of exceptional concealment and long-range torpedoes allows Asashio to knock back enemy battleships and successfully scout a wide area.
Asashio is equipped with deepwater torpedoes, which aren't commonly found on Japanese destroyers. While they are only capable of striking battleships and aircraft carriers, they have a spectacular range, low detectability, and higher chances of causing flooding.
VIII Asashio B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VIII Asashio—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Deepwater torpedoes not commonly found on Japanese destroyers. Range—20 km; speed—67 knots; and a detection radius of only 0.9 km
The Torpedo Reload Booster and Smoke Generator consumables are situated in separate slots
Great concealment reduces her detectability range to just 6.6 km. Carefully selected Commander skills and upgrades can further reduce it to 5.4 km
Her main battery consists of six 127 mm guns
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.
Massachusetts B
Massachusetts is an American Tier VIII South Dakota-class battleship. She carries powerful, yet not-the-most-accurate 406 mm main battery guns. Massachusetts can endure quite a lot in battle owing to her good anti-torpedo protection, an efficient air-defense system, and a version of the Repair Party consumable with a reduced cooldown period. This ship also carries pretty formidable secondary battery guns that can effectively engage enemy ships at quite a long range, which is an unusual feature for American warships. Massachusetts excels in close quarters combat.
VIII Massachusetts B is a stand-alone Premium ship. The only difference in comparison to her standard counterpart—Tier VIII Massachusetts—is the color scheme of her permanent camouflage.
Key features:
Twenty accurate 127 mm secondary battery guns with significant damage per minute and an engagement range of 7.5 km. This range can be extended to 11.3 km with the help of the Secondary Battery Modification 2 upgrade, Advanced Firing Training skill, and the Mike Yankee Soxisix signal
The Repair Party consumable with a reduced cooldown period of only 40 seconds for the enhanced version
She earns more credits per battle, and her camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of your ship's post-battle service by 10%
For a detailed look at the ship's technical specifications, follow this link.

Rewards
The overall reward for attaining all ranks remains the same—a total of 5,500 Steel and 1 Ranked Token.
You can also obtain a commemorative flag, sets of signals, expendable camouflages, and doubloons. Aside from that, you'll get temporary league flags when you reach Rank 10 and Rank 5, which reduce the cost of servicing your ships by 10% and 20% respectively. They will remain on your account until the end of the Season.
Key Rules of the Season
Dates
StartsWed. 27 Nov. 10:00 CET (UTC+1) EndsMon. 23 Dec. 09:30 CET (UTC+1)
All players who have access to Ranked Battles in their Service Record can participate in the new Season. Newcomers to World of Warships must have fought 130 battles in any accessible battle type to unlock this possibility.
Only Tier X ships are allowed.
A limit of one aircraft carrier per team is set for these battles.
Battles are held in an 8 vs. 8 format, and team line-ups will be completely equivalent in terms of ship types.
The new Season has 18 ranks. These have been split into three leagues: Second, First, and Premier.
Those who are new to Ranked Battles will start the Season from Rank 18. Those who participated in the Thirteenth Season will receive bonus Stars: one for each rank attained.
Players earn the Stars needed to climb the ranking ladder by winning battles. At the majority of ranks, a defeat means a lost Star.
Ranks 18–15 and 12 are irrevocable. You cannot lose a Star for a defeat at Ranks 18–17. If you are first on your team in terms of XP earned, you get to keep your hard-earned Star—even if your team lost the battle.
A bonus Star is granted for reaching each new rank at Ranks 18–11.
Only Stars obtained for the first time are counted for progress towards the Ranked Battles emblem. Bonus Stars for the previous Season are included in this count if you play at least one battle in the new Season.
Flags awarded for reaching Leagues will be removed from player accounts once the season ends.
You’ll receive a commemorative achievement for reaching Rank 1 in the Fourteenth Season.
All those who reach Rank 15 will receive a commemorative flag which will remain in their collections.
Matchmaker Changes
Starting from the Fourteenth Season, we are introducing a limit on the number of battleships per team—a maximum of three—for Ranked Battles and Ranked Sprints. If there are not enough suitable ships to complete the teams, and the waiting time the first player in the queue has spent exceeds 4 minutes and 10 seconds, then each team can be completed with up to four battleships.
Game Maps and Modes
Ranked Battles will be fought on the Shards, Northern Lights, Trident, Haven, Greece, and Riposte maps in Domination mode.
Bonus Stars for the Previous Season
According to established tradition, all of your achievements from the previous Season will be accounted for, so you won't have to start from scratch. Depending on the rank at which you finished the previous Season, you’ll be granted a certain number of bonus Stars. The maximum possible number is 17 Stars. If you earned the maximum number of Stars in the previous Season, you’ll start the new Season at Rank 10. The rewards typically issued for the preceding ranks will automatically be added to your account after playing the first battle.
