A Ranked Battles Season for Tier X ships is going to start soon.
Join the fight playing your Tier X ships and win valuable prizes: credits, camouflage patterns, signals, and doubloons, as well as up to 5,500 Steel, which can be exchanged for unique ships in the Armory.
Rewards ● Key Rules of the Season ● Matchmaker Changes ● Game Maps and Modes ● Bonus Stars for the Previous Season
Rewards
The overall reward for attaining all ranks remains the same—a total of 5,500 Steel and 1 Ranked Token.
You can also obtain a commemorative flag, sets of signals, expendable camouflages, and doubloons. Aside from that, you'll get temporary league flags when you reach Rank 10 and Rank 5, which reduce the cost of servicing your ships by 10% and 20% respectively. They will remain on your account until the end of the Season.
Key Rules of the Season
Dates
StartsWed. 27 Nov. 10:00 CET (UTC+1) EndsMon. 23 Dec. 09:30 CET (UTC+1)
All players who have access to Ranked Battles in their Service Record can participate in the new Season. Newcomers to World of Warships must have fought 130 battles in any accessible battle type to unlock this possibility.
Only Tier X ships are allowed.
A limit of one aircraft carrier per team is set for these battles.
Battles are held in an 8 vs. 8 format, and team line-ups will be completely equivalent in terms of ship types.
The new Season has 18 ranks. These have been split into three leagues: Second, First, and Premier.
Those who are new to Ranked Battles will start the Season from Rank 18. Those who participated in the Thirteenth Season will receive bonus Stars: one for each rank attained.
Players earn the Stars needed to climb the ranking ladder by winning battles. At the majority of ranks, a defeat means a lost Star.
Ranks 18–15 and 12 are irrevocable. You cannot lose a Star for a defeat at Ranks 18–17. If you are first on your team in terms of XP earned, you get to keep your hard-earned Star—even if your team lost the battle.
A bonus Star is granted for reaching each new rank at Ranks 18–11.
Only Stars obtained for the first time are counted for progress towards the Ranked Battles emblem. Bonus Stars for the previous Season are included in this count if you play at least one battle in the new Season.
Flags awarded for reaching Leagues will be removed from player accounts once the season ends.
You’ll receive a commemorative achievement for reaching Rank 1 in the Fourteenth Season.
All those who reach Rank 15 will receive a commemorative flag which will remain in their collections.
Matchmaker Changes
Starting from the Fourteenth Season, we are introducing a limit on the number of battleships per team—a maximum of three—for Ranked Battles and Ranked Sprints. If there are not enough suitable ships to complete the teams, and the waiting time the first player in the queue has spent exceeds 4 minutes and 10 seconds, then each team can be completed with up to four battleships.
Game Maps and Modes
Ranked Battles will be fought on the Shards, Northern Lights, Trident, Haven, Greece, and Riposte maps in Domination mode.
Bonus Stars for the Previous Season
According to established tradition, all of your achievements from the previous Season will be accounted for, so you won't have to start from scratch. Depending on the rank at which you finished the previous Season, you’ll be granted a certain number of bonus Stars. The maximum possible number is 17 Stars. If you earned the maximum number of Stars in the previous Season, you’ll start the new Season at Rank 10. The rewards typically issued for the preceding ranks will automatically be added to your account after playing the first battle.
Ranked Battles and Sprints are held in the game on a regular basis, and they offer great opportunities to obtain valuable rewards.
Would you like to find out how you can earn 500,000 credits for just a single battle and reduce your post-battle service expenses for the duration of a season? Learn how in the article below!
What are they, exactly?
Ranked Battles and Sprints are specific Player vs. Player battle types which have their own unique rules. Unlike Random Battles, it's not only the result of an individual battle which is important here, but also overall progress: by winning battles, you move up the ranking ladder to reach more valuable rewards.
Special features of Ranked Battles
Battles are held on same-tier ships.
Your progress is designated by a number—a Rank. The higher the Rank, the better rewards you get. Players climb the ladder from their starting rank up to Rank 1.
Every victory brings the victorious players a star. Collecting the required number of stars earns you the next rank.
You lose a star for a defeat. As a result, you can lose ranks you've already attained, but not the rewards you earned for attaining them.
Some ranks are irrevocable and impossible to lose. These provide a safety net to sustain your progress.
Upon reaching Rank 1, you'll obtain the main rewards and finish the season.
Ranked Sprint is a simplified version of the Ranked Battle season, and it's perfect for those who want to get acquainted with this game mode.
Special features of Ranked Sprints
A Ranked Sprint has more irrevocable ranks than a Ranked Battles season, and requires fewer stars for progressing.
Sprints last for 10–12 days and are mostly played on Tier V–VIII ships.
They usually include 10 ranks and 21 stars. It's enough to play about 50 battles to obtain all the rewards.
You can participate in Sprints in a Division with your friends.
Ranked Battles seasons last longer but provide more rewards.
Special features of Ranked Battles seasons
You need to earn more stars to reach the next rank than in a Sprint.
Battles are usually played on Tier IX–X ships.
You need to earn more stars to reach Rank 1 than in a Sprint. There are 18 ranks and 55 stars in total, but you'll be rewarded appropriately.
What are the rewards?
Various rewards await you, depending on the battle type and time you are ready to devote to fighting.
Rewards of the Ranked Sprint
You'll receive 500,000 credits for your first victory.
For several victories that follow, you'll be rewarded with combat signals—an excellent bonus that will help you in your battles for the next ranks.
Middle ranks will reward you with special signals, which significantly increase the amount of XP and credits you can earn.
Rank 1 will bring you 10,000 Coal. This resource can be exchanged for ships and various in-game items in the Armory.
Rewards of the Ranked Battles season
The first several ranks you achieve will bring you 500,000 credits; combat signals; and about 1,000 Steel—a rare resource that can be exchanged for ships in the Armory. You'll also be offered the option to supplement any missing amount of Coal with Steel if you lack a sufficient amount of the resource when exchanging it for in-game items.
Middle ranks will provide you with expendable camouflage patterns, special signals, and even more Steel.
The best players will obtain a large amount of expendable camouflage patterns; 2,500 doubloons; 1,000 Steel (5,500 in total); and a Ranked Token—a resource for the Armory that can be exchanged for rare permanent camouflage patterns.
League Flags obtained in a Ranked Battle season deserve a special mention. Mounting such a flag on your ships will reduce the cost of their post-battle service. For example, the Flag of the Second League, which is obtained at Rank 10, will save you 10% of the credit cost. For a Tier X ship, this means saving 18,000 credits. It’s available throughout the entire season and can be used in all battle types.
XP for fighting in Ranked Battles is taken into account for daily container progress, some combat missions, Directives, and other in-game activities.
Take part in Ranked Battles seasons and Sprints! Credits, signals, and Coal await you!

The High School Fleet Anime Series
A century ago, most of Japan’s territory was submerged as a result of plate subduction. One after another, Coastal Cities began to emerge in order to preserve the remaining landmass—thus, seaborne routes became more and more important, and their protection became a crucial matter.
Meanwhile, naval service became highly popular among women and a special division for keeping the sea safe—the Blue Mermaids—was created.
The main protagonists of the anime series, childhood friends Akeno Misaki and Moeka China, enrolled in the Yokosuka Girls’ Marine High School together with other girls to become a part of the famous elite unit.
Akeno Misaki was assigned the role of captain of the training destroyer, Harekaze (Kagero-class), and Moeka took up the captain’s post on Musashi (Yamato-class battleship). The series starts with both warships setting off for their first maritime exercises. However, what was supposed to be a standard training session rapidly turns into a real battle.

The Tech Tree will soon welcome a new branch of ships. In Update 0.8.10, the Regia Marina’s cruisers are scheduled to exit Early Access and become freely available for all players to research.
In this article, we'll cover the specific gameplay features of the new ships!
Ship Branch Peculiarities ● Commander Skills and Upgrades ● Tactics
Ship Branch Peculiarities
Semi-armor-piercing shells
Please note: the article indicates SAP shell ricochet angles applicable to the release of Update 0.8.10. In Update 0.8.9, shells fired by any Tier III–IX ships have a chance of ricocheting at angles of 65 degrees or higher.
Starting from Tier II of the branch, the Regia Marina's researchable cruisers come armed with semi-armor-piercing (SAP) shells instead of HE shells.
SAP shell features
SAP shells may ricochet after hitting their target, but they have quite favorable ricochet angles—even better than those of the AP shells fired by British and American cruisers:
Shells fired by II Nino Bixio have a chance of ricocheting at angles of 80 degrees or higher, and are guaranteed to ricochet at angles of 85 degrees or higher.
Shells fired by any Tier III–IX ships have a chance of ricocheting at angles of 70 degrees or higher, and are guaranteed to ricochet at angles of 80 degrees or higher.
Shells fired by X Venezia have a chance of ricocheting at angles of 75 degrees or higher, and are guaranteed to ricochet at angles of 80 degrees or higher.
If your hit doesn't ricochet, the armor penetration mechanics are similar to those of HE shells: the thickness of the armor at the point of impact is compared with the shell penetration value. The shell deals damage if the penetration value is higher than, or equal to the thickness of the armor.
SAP shells can penetrate thicker armor and cause greater damage than HE shells. The exact penetration value depends on the shell’s caliber, and the damage is determined by the shell's caliber and speed.
They can't overpenetrate targets.
They can't start fires on enemy ships.
SAP shells have no limit in terms of the damage they can cause to destroyers.
Before choosing which particular shell type to use for your attack, consider your target. SAP shells are most efficient against destroyers, battleships, and cruisers, with the latter being positioned at an angle to your ship. AP shells perform best against any cruisers that leave their broadsides exposed. If an enemy ship is positioned at an angle to you, SAP shells are preferential: when hitting the ship's front or aft ends and superstructures, they can deal impressive damage. However, the heavy damage they can cause is offset by their inability to set fires on enemy ships. Choosing the right shell for each situation and evaluating the target's armor are vital skills to learn when mastering the Italian cruisers' gameplay.
Consumables
If you come under concentrated fire or want to quickly get out of the enemy’s line of fire, use the Exhaust Smoke Generator which is available on Italian cruisers starting at Tier V. Unlike the standard Smoke Generator, Exhaust Smoke Generator will continuously surround the ship for the duration of the consumable’s action time, regardless of the speed at which she is going. But beware: while under the cover of smoke, your ship's spotting range decreases, and, when firing, its detectability range will increase to a certain value, meaning that it’s still possible to be detected by nearby enemies.
Starting at Tier V, you can choose between the Spotting Aircraft and the Fighter consumables.
Starting at Tier IX, the Repair Party consumable becomes available.
Unlike most ships of their type, Italian cruisers aren't equipped with the Hydroacoustic Search or Surveillance Radar consumables, so you should pay greater attention to the Minimap in order to track enemy destroyers and avoid sudden torpedo attacks.
Specifications
The specifications of Italian cruisers emphasize their predisposition to long-distance battles.
The high maneuverability and speed of the Regia Marina's ships are the two important advantages of the new branch. The farther away an enemy ship is, the easier it is to maneuver away from her salvoes or brace for impact at a sharp angle.
Torpedoes act more as auxiliary weapons for the ships of the new branch. Due to the small number of torpedo tubes and the torpedoes’ slow movement speed, you shouldn't rely on them too much. However, their long range and quick reload will allow you to seal a strategically important strait or make any enemy ships hidden in smoke nervous.
Starting at Tier VI, Italian cruisers are armed with 203 mm guns that can boast enjoyable ballistics. Their gameplay is based on the special features of their SAP shells, relatively long reload time of their main battery, and significant damage they can inflict per salvo. If the target and moment for a shot are chosen correctly, you can inflict an immense amount of damage to your enemies.
Venezia
X Venezia was built in consideration of the technical solutions used during the construction of Italian light cruisers and the last series of the Regia Marina's battleships. The ship was based on the technical designs initially proposed by the Ansaldo company’s shipbuilders for the Spanish Navy. The location of the turrets is worth a special mention: had they been placed in a traditional manner, the dimensions of the citadel and the ship itself would have been too large. To mitigate this, the turrets were given unusual positioning. This enabled a reduction in the size of the ship and its citadel at the cost of partially limiting the firing angles of the second turret. Her fifteen 203 mm caliber guns can cause excellent damage per salvo, while stronger armor compared to that of the other ships of her branch will help her to make it through intense battles.
Commander Skills and Upgrades
For a Commander with 10 skill points we recommend:
Priority Target
Adrenaline Rush
Superintendent
Concealment Expert
This set of skills will be useful on ships starting at Tier V. Any further development of your Commander will depend on your play style, goals in battle, and ship tier.
We recommend paying attention to the following skills:
Expert Loader will allow you to quickly switch to AP shells and inflict significant damage to any enemies exposing their broadsides.
Preventive Maintenance will reduce the chances of damage being caused to your engines and rudders, and maintain your ship's maneuverability.
Torpedo Acceleration and Torpedo Armament Expertise will be useful if you're used to relying on torpedoes in battle.
Jack of All Trades will speed up the slow reload speed of consumables on Italian cruisers.
Due to the absence of the Hydroacoustic Search consumable, Italian cruisers are quite vulnerable to destroyers. Vigilance and Radio Location will allow you to assess where to expect a torpedo attack from and give you a few extra seconds to evade the attack.
The following upgrades will be useful:
Main Armaments Modification 1
Steering Gears Modification 1
Aiming Systems Modification 1
Propulsion Modification 2
Concealment System Modification 1
Main Battery Modification 3
Please note: since Italian cruisers have no HE shells, skills such as Inertia Fuse for HE Shells and Demolition Expert will have no effect. Also, the Smoke Generator Modification 1 special upgrade can't be mounted on these ships.
Tactics
Evaluate the situation! Having no Hydroacoustic Search readily available, Italian cruisers are vulnerable to torpedo attacks. Stay close to an ally capable of spotting torpedoes and enemy destroyers in good time to compensate for this disadvantage. With such support, these new ships will turn from victims into hunters—their significant damage per salvo will enable them to quickly send any detected enemy destroyer to the bottom of the sea.
When facing enemy cruisers, wait for them to make a mistake. A salvo with AP shells against their broadside will inflict impressive damage. No time to change shell type? SAP shells will be effective, too.
If you’re caught in concentrated fire, make use of nearby islands and the Exhaust Smoke Generator. This consumable will allow you to change course undetected or escape a threatening situation. Don't forget that it has quite a long reload time and using it with the intention of firing from behind the cover of smoke isn't very effective—the screen it produces dissipates quite quickly.
Use torpedoes to protect yourself in case of proximity to enemy ships and force them to maneuver. The fast reload time and long range of your torpedoes will enable you to "comb" any smokes in which your enemies might be hiding.
Keep moving—your ship’s good maneuverability will allow you to avoid being hit.
Italian cruisers, with their unusual shells and Smoke Generator, can provide new tactical opportunities. Prepare to take advantage of these new possibilities in battle and take them out to sea!
Please note that the servers will be temporarily unavailable due to the release of an update. The schedule is available below. Maintenance times are tentative and subject to change. Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences.
The new update will go live some time after it's been downloaded because the client and server sides are updated separately. While the client begins to update immediately, it takes time for the servers to be updated across all regions.

The event dedicated to Italy continues!
The Italian cruisers’ time in Early Access is over—they are now available to research for everyone! Players can also get their hands on the new "Resolute and Rapid" collection and a unique Italian historical Commander—Luigi Sansonetti—who possesses three special talents. Besides that, a new Season of Ranked Battles awaits you, as well as various technical improvements and much more!

Italian Cruisers: Part 2
The Italian arc continues! With the release of Update 0.8.10, the branch of Italian cruisers will become available for everyone to research.
Update 0.8.10 welcomes a new collection dedicated to the Italian Navy. The collection consists of four sections, with four elements in each.
The reward for completing the sections is 1 day of Premium Account.
The rewards for completing the entire collection are an achievement and the unique Italian Commander, Luigi Sansonetti, who possesses the following talents:
Scorched by Fury—activates when you score the Confederate achievement and reduces the reload time of the main battery guns by 15%.
Triumphant Haul—activates after you destroy an enemy ship and extends the main battery’s firing range by 8%. Can be activated once per battle.
Desperate Resistance—activates after you score 100 main battery shell hit ribbons and prolongs the action time of all consumables by 10%. Can be activated once per battle.
Besides the aforementioned talents, this Italian Commander enjoys two enhanced skills: Expert Loader and Torpedo Acceleration.
During Update 0.8.10, containers with collectibles can be obtained as follows:
Up to six containers for completing Directives of the event
Up to 29 containers in the Armory using Mediterranean Tokens—a new temporary resource
Up to three containers from Daily Shipments
Elements of the collection can only be obtained from the relevant event containers. In Update 0.9.4, we're planning to make the “Resolute and Rapid” containers available in exchange for Coal in the Armory. This way you'll still be able to complete the collection and get Commander Luigi Sansonetti in case you miss anything during Update 0.8.10! The cost of the containers will be announced later.
The new game event tasks you with completing 40 missions spread across four Directives. You can start progressing in the next Directive only once you've completed six missions from the previous one. To obtain the final reward, you must complete six missions of the fourth Directive.
Having completed all four Directives, players will receive six “Resolute and Rapid” containers and 572 Mediterranean Tokens, the latter of which can be exchanged in the new "Italian Navy" section of the Armory for one of the following rewards:
14 days of Premium Account
143 Regia Marina camouflage patterns
12,825,000 credits
Up to 470 signals
19 “Resolute and Rapid” containers, which drop elements of the same-name collection, Free XP, and Coal
Directives are available to players with open access to combat missions in their Service Record. Novice players will have to play 70 battles in any accessible battle type to unlock them.
Mediterranean Tokens will only be available throughout Update 0.8.10. When Update 0.8.11 goes live, they will only be obtainable from “Resolute and Rapid” Premium containers. With the release of Update 0.9.0, all Mediterranean Tokens will be converted to credits at a rate of 1 : 22,500.
The Portal to the lost dimension will remain open until November 27, so you still have a chance to undertake a Raid for the Filth! As you might remember, three teams with three players in each fight against one another, as well as against a horde of dark forces controlled by AI. The objective is to collect a special resource—Filth. You can exchange Filth for various rewards in a special section of the Armory.
Please note: when this event battle mode is over, the monster ships will remain in your Port until Update 0.8.11 goes live, but you won't be able to enter battle playing them.
Starts:Wed. 27 Nov. 10:00 CET (UTC+1) Ends:Mon. 23 Dec. 09:30 CET (UTC+1)
The Fourteenth Season of Ranked Battles is set to commence soon, to be played with Tier X ships in an 8 vs. 8 format. A limit of one aircraft carrier per team is set for these battles. The main reward remains the same—5,500 Steel! Ranked Battles will be fought on the Shards, Northern Lights, Trident, Haven, Greece, and Riposte maps in Domination mode. The Season’s details will be published separately in a dedicated article.
We have also updated the matchmaker by introducing a limit on the number of battleships per team—three at most—for Ranked Battles and Ranked Sprints. If there aren’t enough suitable ships to complete the teams, and the waiting time the first player in the queue has spent exceeds 4 minutes and 10 seconds, then each team can be completed with up to four battleships.
Game Balance Changes
Italian Tier III–IX cruisers:
The angle that’s used as the starting point for checking a SAP shell hit for a ricochet has been increased from 65 to 70 degrees.
This change will make SAP shells more effective against ships that are positioned at an acute angle.
Visual and Other Enhancements
We are continuing to update the maps and Ports so that they conform to the new lighting model and enhanced HDR technology. In Update 0.8.10, the visuals of the Solomon Islands, Ring, New Dawn, Hotspot, Two Brothers, Shards, Estuary, Haven, Archipelago, and Land of Fire maps; and Ocean and Saint Petersburg Ports have been improved.
0.8.9
0.8.10
The special visual style of the VII Eastern Dragon, VII Southern Dragon, and ARP ships has been singled out as a separate permanent camouflage providing standard combat bonuses. It's also possible to mount special upgrades and other camouflages, with the exception of permanent ones, on these ships. When you hide ships’ special exteriors in the Additional Content settings menu, this camouflage will be demounted.
The gun sight reticule has been switched to utilize new technology, which opens the doorway to future changes in the game. Its visuals now look neater and cleaner.
List of changes
Removed horizontal lines spreading from the the ship to the horizon.
Removed two vertical lines from both sides of the reticule.
Removed armament angle values from the sight reticules for certain torpedo launchers and guns.
Stopped the reticule shaking that occurred when you turned the battle camera within a range between the ship and the horizon. Now, the reticule will always be positioned in the center of the screen.
Co-op Battles Matchmaker
Update 0.8.10 brings matchmaker improvements for Co-op Battles:
Battles will be played in a 9 vs. 9 format.
Any incomplete teams will be complemented with a much wider range of bot ships.
These changes are aimed at making this battle type more interesting.
Besides that, we’re introducing limitations in battles for the maximum number of ships allowed from the highest tier, and minimum number of ships from the lowest tier. These limitations depend on the battle tier and waiting time in the queue.
Example: it's now impossible to have one Tier VIII ship in battle with the rest of the ships being from Tier X. We’re planning to introduce similar improvements to the Random Battles matchmaker in future.
Armory
The Armory now offers VII Błyskawica in exchange for 51,000 Coal. This Polish destroyer flies the flag of Europe and is notable for its maneuverability, effective torpedoes, and artillery that’s quite powerful for a Tier VII destroyer.
Key features
Excellent speed of 39 knots.
An impressive pool of HP for a destroyer.
Seven rapid-fire 120 mm guns with a good reach and comfortable ballistics.
Effective torpedoes with an 8 km reach and fast reload time of 70 seconds.
Extra credits per battle and 50% more XP provided by the camouflage.
The Armory now offers the unique historical Commander, Nikolay Kuznetsov, who is exchangeable for 175,000 Coal and possesses the unique Emergency Reserve and Will to Victory talents, as well as the Jack of All Trades enhanced skill. A detailed description of Commander Nikolay Kuznetsov is available in the Armory.
Two Pan-Asian commanders who possess Demolition Expert and Survivability Expert enhanced skills have also been introduced in the Armory. Quán Róng is exchangeable for 35,000 Coal, and Dà Róng for 1,500 doubloons. Both Commanders come with 10 skill points and a specialization for I Chengan.
Battle Economics
The last round of changes to the interactions between aircraft carriers and AA defenses were those introduced in Update 0.8.7. The combat performance indicators of this ship type are the same as those of other ship types, but due to their gameplay peculiarities, carriers tend to earn more XP. As a result of this, we made a decision to change the amount of XP and credits that Tier VIII and Tier X carriers earn:
X Midway: –5% to average XP earned and +5% to average amount of credits earned
X Hakuryū, X Audacious: –10% to average XP earned
All Tier VIII carriers: –10% to average XP earned in battles that ended up in a defeat
All Tier X carriers: –15% to average XP earned in battles that ended up in a defeat
These changes will also affect the results that carriers demonstrate in Ranked Battles: with the same combat performance shown, the carriers will earn the same amount of XP as other ship types. As a result, the carriers' chances of keeping a star after a defeat will be no higher than those of other ships.

In Update 0.8.10, the new “Resolute and Rapid” collection dedicated to the Italian Navy is set to appear.
This provides an excellent opportunity to refresh your memory about the available in-game collections and why it’s worthwhile to complete them.

Why Should I Complete Collections?
Collections are an excellent way to discover some interesting historical facts and obtain some desirable rewards along the way in the form of permanent camos, Commanders, and other valuable in-game items and abilities.
Collections are designed to inform players about the history of the naval forces, significant operations, and famous historical figures. Sometimes “unhistorical” collections appear in the game as well. They may be dedicated to collaborations with other brands (for example, the collection inspired by anime series High School Fleet), or focus on the World of Warships game itself.
Collections are made up of various elements: coats of arms of warships and combat units; items dedicated to renowned personalities; weapons, ships and aircraft; insignias; and much more. Each image is accompanied by a detailed description. For players’ convenience, elements are divided into thematic sections, and when each collection section is completed, an additional reward is unlocked. When all the elements of a collection or section are in place, a window informing the player about the associated reward is displayed. The collection is marked with an icon stating that it’s "Complete," which means you can return to it anytime to read the information about its elements.
How Can I Complete Collections?
Where can I find my collections?
In the Profile section of the Port. You gain access to each collection after obtaining its first element.
Please note: the Collections tab won't be displayed if you have no collection items.
Where can I get collection items?
In most cases, you'll find collection items in containers of the same name. Clicking on a collection item that was dropped from a container will transfer you to the screen of the corresponding collection. But there are exceptions—for example, the items from a collection dedicated to World of Warships Anniversary in 2017 were issued for special achievements earned in battle.
What is a subscription?
You can subscribe to some of the collections. This way you can choose which large collections you want to actively collect. You can obtain the first elements of these collections in special containers. By activating a subscription, you’ll be able to find the rest of the collectibles in the following containers: More Credits, More Signals and Camouflages, More Consumables, More Resources and Try Your Luck. You can only subscribe to one collection at a time under the Profile tab.
What is a duplicate?
When completing a collection, it’s possible to obtain an item you already have—this is called a “duplicate.” When you have a certain number of duplicates from the same collection, you can exchange them for any item you’re still missing. For that, you need to select a vacant slot in an album and confirm that you want to exchange your duplicates for this missing item in the window that appears. The cost of such an exchange depends on the collection, but it’s usually 2–5 duplicates per item. Once a collection is complete, any remaining duplicates of that collection are automatically exchanged for credits. The exact exchange rate depends on the collection. Thus, you can decide whether you want to obtain the main reward for collecting all the elements as soon as possible, or prefer to get more duplicates to earn more credits.
What Collections and Rewards are Available?
There are currently 11 collections available in the game. The items of these can be obtained from containers of the same name in the Armory in exchange for Coal. Exception: Yamamoto Isoroku.

The “Resolute and Rapid” Collection
Update 0.8.10 welcomes a new collection to the game that’s dedicated to the Italian Navy. The words “Resolute and Rapid” refer to the motto of light cruiser Raimondo Montecuccoli—“Con risolutezza, con rapidità.” High speed was the hallmark of ships of the Regia Marina, while the Italian sailors' determination and devotion to duty was recognized even by their enemies. The collection consists of four sections, with four elements in each:
Ships
Tour of Duty
Service Medals I
Service Medals II
The reward for completing the sections is 1 day of Warships Premium Account.
The rewards for completing the entire collection are an achievement and the unique Italian Commander, Luigi Sansonetti, who possesses the following talents:
Scorched by Fury—activates when you score the Confederate achievement and reduces the reload time of the main battery guns by 15%.
Triumphant Haul—activates after you destroy an enemy ship and extends the main battery firing range by 8%. Can be activated once per battle.
Desperate Resistance—activates after you score 100 main battery shell hit ribbons and prolongs the action time for all consumables by 10%. Can be activated once per battle.
In addition, the Italian Commander boasts two enhanced skills:
Expert Loader, which accelerates shell type switching by 75% instead of 50%.
Torpedo Acceleration, which increases torpedo cruising speed by 7 knots instead of 5. At the same time, the reduction of their range remains the same—20%.
Like the other unique historical Commanders, Luigi Sansonetti has some special customizations: a broad pennant, colored shell tracers, and a signal flare that’s fired over the ship when a Commander's talent is activated.
Containers with the collection items can be obtained during Update 0.8.10:
From Daily Shipments
As a reward for completing Directives of the "Italian Cruisers: Part 2" event
In the Armory for Mediterranean Tokens—a new temporary resource
Mediterranean Tokens will be awarded for completing missions of the Directives and Daily Missions.
Elements of the collection can be obtained from the relevant event containers only. In Update 0.9.4, we're planning to make the Resolute and Rapid containers available in exchange for Coal in the Armory. This will allow you to complete the collection later in case you miss anything during Update 0.8.10 and want to have Commander Luigi Sansonetti in your Port. The cost of the containers will be announced later.
The exchange rate of duplicates for other elements is 4 : 1. After you complete the collection, all duplicates will be automatically exchanged for 15,000 credits.
