Greetings, friends! Today we're publishing a brand new French translation to the game, created by Vincent "Goat Buster" Lagaillarde with help from Hizo team! Other translations are also currently pending, and we'll update as soon as we can. This version of the game also sports new random encounters and bug fixes for mistakes you, our community has found.
As always, thank you for being with us, and let there be ATOM!
Changelog:
Added French translation;
New random encounter locations;
Fixed Guard in Drunken Lair not reacting to his fellow's sickness;
Fixed August not seeing the female character at night;
Hello, friends! Today we are happy to publish a new translation of our game. This time - to Spanish, with the help of Felix H., an amazing fan translator who contacted us here on Steam and produced a translation mod, which he allowed us to import into the game. Some more languages are on the way as well with German hopefully hitting Steam sometime this year and French 90% done by another fan translator. We are also working on perfecting the Polish beta translation together with a team of Polish volunteer players who help us out very much. Hopefully, soon Polish will be up to the high standards it deserves! Apart from a new language, this version also contains a lot of optimization work which will perfect loading and game behavior for low-end computers. We really hope you will enjoy. And let there be ATOM!
We are happy to announce that we are working with the Steam Input API now. This is a special interface from Valve that lets you play the game with any controller and even do it remotely through Steam Link. With it you can even play with a controller on your phone! And speaking of that: ATOM RPG is now available for iOS, in App Store. Of course, you can use the same save files from PC in the mobile version and vice versa!
And now for the changelog:
- Now you can use Steam Remote Play through STEAM LINK; - Updated Steam SDK to its latest version; - Fixed compatibility with the already existing mods; - Full controller support through Steam API; - Fixed the crash when turning off post-processing; - Fixed the bug with the "Experimenting" in crafting when playing with the controller; - A lot of lesser bugs fixed. For example, the health bars don't disappear when loading another save file, etc.
Good night, and good luck. Stay safe out there! Yours truly,
Greetings, friends! Our game’s sequel is constantly developing, but that doesn't mean we forgot our first game ATOM RPG. To show that, we are uploading a large patch packed with things you asked us to add on the forums. First off, we did what we were asked to do by the players who prefer the gamepad. The interface and controls are completely overhauled and should now seem much more comfortable and easy than before. We also finally translated the game into Polish language with the help of a professional translator and two groups of volunteers, one led by Dr. Paweł Aleksandrowicz. Many other languages are also on their way, with French 90% done. Our team cannot afford professional translation studios, so everything is a fan-driven effort which we cannot hasten, but with enough time we promise to deliver even more translations! With players like you, we believe this to be possible. The game also got a new network interface which will allow seamless save transfer between different versions of ATOM RPG in case you want to play as your PC character on the go. We also added a large amount of improvements into the game - adding new sounds and some animations and minor visuals, fixing very minor bugs that were still left until you noticed and reported them on the forums, as well as many optimization tweaks and fixes for low-end PCs. The full list can be found under this post. Thank you for being the best community possible! And let there be ATOM!

We are happy to announce that the Steam page for Trudograd is finally open! The game itself will be available for the Early Access purchase on the 11th of May. You can visit the page here: Trudograd
Also in May there will be two long awaited translations available for ATOM RPG - Polish and French translations! They will come with a new patch. We are also actively working on translations to other languages! Don’t worry, we promised to translate ATOM RPG as many languages as we can and we intend to keep that promise! :)
It’s finally time to share some more news about the development of ATOM RPG: Trudograd. This time, we will have two distinct topics: skill tree and weapon mods.
Skill tree
Ever since the release of our first game, we listened to your advice on the ways ATOM RPG’s Skill Tree could grow into something bigger and better. This is the result of all that feedback, plus many improvements of our own.
Unlike our previous skill tree, this one is segmented into categories, and has much more skills for every type of play. You won’t have to pick something you don’t want, just to get to something you do want to learn, anymore. At least, that’s what we’re going for.
Icons, names, and even skill balancing are still works in progress, but the concept itself is final.
The skill point system has also changed. Before, each new skill was 1 point more expensive than the previous, and this was critiqued by you a lot. Now all skills are distributed amongst four price tiers. All starting skills have the price of 1 point, and the most powerful ones - 4.
Weapon mods
The need for a weapons mod system was seen by us even at the time ATOM RPG first came out, but introducing it back then would’ve required too much time and resources. Now, in Trudograd, we are finally able to do it!
Every single piece of weaponry in Trudograd has some modification slots, which can be filled with all manner of mods. This will help you create weapons, fit for your playstyles and character roles.
However, all good things come at a price. In ATOM RPG: Trudograd, weapon modifications will have pros as well as cons, like higher skill reqs.
Currently, the weapon mod system’s visuals and some stats are a work in progress, but we basically figured out the base balancing mechanics already.
We thank you for the time spent reading this dev update, and we would like to use this opportunity to remind you: stay safe, stay healthy, do all that is recommended to avoid and combat the COVID-19 infection.
Today, we're releasing version 1.112. We are doing this because we moved our game to the brand new, improved Unity version 2019.2 which fixes a lot of problems some of you may have experienced in the past, and furthers our game's optimization.
However, since it's a very large file, we understand that those of you that do not have optimization issues and glitches described in the changelog, may not want to download it. For you, we have created a new Steam branch 1_11 which will allow you to skip this version and continue playing 1.111.
Here is the changelog:
Transferred the game to Unity 2019.2;
Fixed impassable tiles in Krasnoznamenny Centre;
Fixed incorrect AP and Ammo information;
Fixed Dzhulbars barking glitch;
Fixed the Ghillie suit and protective suit exploit which granted an extra turn;
Those who saved at the New Year location will now appear in the Mountain Pass of Woes;
Fixed several graphical bugs.
For Mac OS users: Unfortunately, Unity updated the requirement for their minimal version of Mac OS for 2019.2. Now it's macOS 10.12+. We ask you to update the system or move to the branch 1_11. https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/branches Sorry for the inconvenience!
It’s time to do good on our New Year’s promise and share some more news about ATOM RPG: Trudograd.
We’ll start with information on new developments in the field of exoskeleton research! We perfected our walking tank visually, and made it capable of attacking enemies in melee combat! Here’s how it looks at the moment:
WIP
However the combat system improvements do not end with the exoskeleton. We also made a special skill that will allow you to attack your enemies with the buttstock of your weapon, along with new weapon mods that will be discussed in a later post.
WIP
Since we have updated many combat-related stuff in the game, we decided to change the look of the inventory as well. Here’s how it will look during your travels in Trudograd. Something akin to this style was suggested by some of our players. We hope you like it!
WIP
Now we’d like to show you the changes we made to in-game menus such as the minimap, stats or skill tree. Here’s our new menu system!
WIP
This new menu system is highly optimized for comfort and style. We really hope you will enjoy it!
Last but not least - some in-game art. Here’s a loading screen we particularly enjoy.
Work on Trudograd is constant. Next time we will share some new location screenshots and news about weapons and combat in general, as well as many other new stuff.
ATOM RPG: Trudograd will be released for closed testing on February 29th.
Thank you for reading and we really hope that you liked what we shared. See you next time! And let there be ATOM!
