• All Competitive Match records in progress during the 1st BETA(Trial) season will be reset, and 2nd BETA season (Trial) begins now and continues for 2 weeks after the update.
  
• The placement match times required to get Rank (TIER) is adjusted from 10 to 6 matches.
  
• Now, there are greater differences of Rank (TIER) allocation by the result of placement matches.
  
• There will be a greater difference of Win/Loss MMR points, even during a certain period of time after the placement matches. However, the difference will gradually decrease and stabilize afterwards.
  
• Rewards will be given out when you complete the 6th Competitive Match. (Achieved 1st time only)
  
  
• Matchmaking search conditions have improved, so that it can match soldiers faster and quicker in each Rank (Tier).
  
• We fixed the UI to show Rank (Tier) instead of Rank (Account) in Competitive Match.
  
  
  
• Now, the penalty time (BAN TIME) will be applied immediately to any solider who leaves the match, so that the solider cannot participate in any other match for a certain amount of time.
  
• Changes in Tier Rank: we have added a new Tier Rank, 'RACCOON Rank'. Ranks are adjusted as shown below.

First of all, the Black Squad Team would like to thank everyone who was able to make it to Black Squad Sommerfest 2018. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to meet you all and speak with you in person. We had a wonderful time and we hope you all did as well. We will continue to work hard on Black Squad, as we want to make it to be the best! We will be back and continue to throw these parties for our wonderful community; so we would appreciate any feedback you may have!

The Competitive Match 1st BETA, which was released on July 26th, has been in service for about a month.

Meanwhile, the BS Dev Team analyzed the statistics based on the collected data and made various modifications and improvements for Competitive Matches.

We would like to thank those of you who have participated in Black Squad during BETA season.


In the upcoming August patch, we will end the 1st BETA and start the 2nd BETA season.

We will try our best to provide you with better service for the 2nd BETA.


When the 2nd BETA season starts, the following changes will be implemented:

Fixed Competitive Match(beta)

• The maximum waiting time UI is added to display before the match starts.
  
  
• Additional UI added on the upper navigation bar to display the current number of disconnections in Competitive Matches as shown below.
  
  
• Narrowed down the search range for matchmaking with soldiers who have similar MMR points first. However if the wait time is too long, the system will then match soldiers who have slightly different MMR points.
  
• We fixed ELO rating mechanism so that low team ranking solders will not lose too many MMR points when they lose the match.
  
• If there are any disconnected soldiers before the match starts, and the solider is not able to access at all, (e.g. BattlEye Ban, High ping Kick), then the match will be cancelled immediately. In this case, this match will not be recorded as valid.

• New ‘WESTERN BOX’ is available now.
  
  
  • The WESTERN BOX can be obtained from the Gold Random Box at the Random Box Shop. The obtained box can be found in your Inbox.
    
  • To open the 'WESTERN BOX', you need one 'BLACK SQUAD KEY' from the In-game Shop.
