Not long now until 6th July, when you can start to explore the changes we wrote about in our last post: Specialist Partner Fusion and Wing Fusion!
Specialist Partner Fusion is a new system which enables you to use the specialist partner cards you don’t need to upgrade the ones you do. Fusing them together gives your partners powerful bonuses!
Meanwhile, in the NosMall you can find the Wing Changer (Random), which gives you a certain chance to transfer the appearance of certain wings onto another pair. Keep the cool effects of the wings you have, while enjoying the looks of the wings which best suit your hero!

Patch Notes
Added the specialist partner fusion system.
Specialist partner fusion allows you to upgrade your specialist partner cards by fusing unused cards with your main one. As with the familiar perfecting system you know from regular specialist cards, this permanently increases their stats.
You can upgrade you specialist partners with every alchemist in the big towns.
If you fuse your specialist partner card with an identical one, you’ll receive double the experience.
An identical specialist partner card is even a requirement for upgrading from levels 19, 39, 59, 79 and 99. Exceeding these levels gives you a large amount of additional skill points.
Temporary specialist partner cards and specialist partners with similar appearances (such as Foxy and Fiona) are considered copies for the purposes of the specialist partner fusion.
When you upgrade your specialist partner card, it will randomly increase one of the following 8 stats: attack, defence, crit damage reduction, HP/MP, fire resistance, water resistance, light resistance or shadow resistance.
The number of points depends on the card’s current upgrade level. In total you can receive up to 390 skill points, shared across all 8 stats, but you can never have more than 100 points in one main stat, or 35 points in a resistance stat.
Added a wing randomiser item.
This was suggested by the players and was originally intended to be implemented as a wing fusion system. However, having thought more about the issue, we decided that few players would want to ‘waste’ an expensive pair of wings for the sake of a new appearance. So we’ve implemented this as a system which allows you to try out lots of different wing designs in the game, irrespective of their effects!
An option has been added to the specialist card interface which allows you to remove the current wing design.
All buffs granted by specialist wings have their own buff symbol, making it easier to identify which wing effects are active.
When using this item, you can't get the same wings twice in a row. You also won't receive the appearance of your currently equipped wings.
Added a Retro Wing randomiser item to the Rainbow Crystal shop.
We also wanted to give you the option to try out the newly introduced Retro Wings in a separate package. Given the different colour variations, there was no easy way to include them in the regular wing fusion, without drowning out the other wing options. Please note that this item can only be used by characters who are already wearing Retro Wings.
Improvements to the fishing system.
We understand that many of you find the current fishing system rather monotonous and not worthy of your time. We believe that the main reason for this is the very low chance of catching legendary fish. So we’ve decided to greatly increase (quadruple!) the chance of landing one, thereby also increasing the speed of levelling up (as legendary fish provide more fishing XP than regular ones).
In this update we’re also introducing items which support your fishing activities.
One additional change we’re implementing will however reduce the sale price of legendary fish. When we originally introduced the fishing system, legendary fish could be sold for high prices, as they had no other use. But since the introduction of the cooking system, they can now be used as ingredients for meals. The high price of the fish has led to cooking being far more expensive than originally planned. Of course, there are also expensive meals which are not fish-based, and we plan to take a look at these in due course. But with the increased fishing chances, we’re confident about making this change. We think that players will still be able to trade these fish amongst themselves for a decent price, but selling them to NPCs will no longer be as lucrative.
We’ve slightly increased the success rate when fishing, and greatly reduced the chance of your line tearing.
Most fishing titles have been improved and now give you more fishing XP and improved fishing chances.
You can now only buy up to 250 fishing baits per day.
Changes to the minigame raids.
Two of the main issues with the minigame raids were that they were hardly worth playing and that they always started at random times. We’ve made some changes to hopefully improve both of these points, but we’ll be keeping our eyes on them in future, so please send us your feedback or suggestions if you have any!
The raid seals for the Sheep Farm, Dodge Meteor and Bushi King Defence have been removed from the game.
These three raids now start automatically at fixed times on channels 1 and 2 (CET/CEST):
You can now purchase a Specialist Partner Box containing 1 of 9 specialist partner cards for 1 Golden Acorn and 1 Silver Acorn.
The number of Acorns required to craft a Bronze Acorn has been reduced from 50 to 15.
The Acorn rewards for the individual raids has been improved:
Sheep Farm: In addition to the raid box you now get some Acorns depending on your ranking:
1st Place: 15 Acorns
2nd–3rd Place: 10 Acorns
4th–10th Place: 7 Acorns
11th–20th Place: 5 Acorns
21st–30th Place: 3 Acorns
Dodge Meteor: The amount of Acorns dropped between each phase has been increased as follows:
After round 1: 10 Acorns -> 15 Acorns
After round 2: 10 Acorns -> 20 Acorns
After round 3: 10 Acorns -> 25 Acorns
After round 4: 10 Acorns -> 30 Acorns
If you die during round 1, you’ll now get 1 Acorns instead of 0.
If you die after completing round 1, you’ll now get 3 Acorns instead of 1.
If you die after completing round 2, you'll now get 6 Acorns instead of 2.
If you die after completing round 3, you'll now get 10 Acorns instead of 3.
The rewards for rounds 4 and 5 remain unchanged (1 or 2 Bronze Acorns respectively).
Bushi King Defence: In addition to the raid boxes (2 for the winners, 1 for the losers), the following changes have been implemented:
The winning team now additionally receives 10 Acorns.
The losing team now additionally receives 5 Acorns.
The Bushi King Defence raid can now be started with a minimum of 10 instead of 20 players.
The contents of the Bushi King Gift Box have been changed to provide more consistent Acorn rewards.
Please note that you still need to meet the activity point requirement to receive a reward.

The next update is bringing two great changes to your favourite game: Specialist Partner Fusion and Wing Fusion!
Learn more details about what to expect below.
Specialist Partner Fusion
To make sure your partners stay the distance and don’t wilt at the first sign of danger, we’re introducing a new system to the game in the form of the Specialist Partner Fusion. This allows you to make use of those specialist partner cards you don’t need, whilst simultaneously strengthening your favourites!
Simply open the Specialist Partner Fusion menu, and drag in the partner card you want to improve and the one you want to use as a material. The only other thing required is a bit of gold, and some additional materials, depending on the current level of your card.
The fusion works best if you use the same cards, but other partner cards can be used to give your favourites a boost up to a certain level. Certain levels will however require that you use the same card for upgrading. The maximum level you can reach through Specialist Partner Fusion is level 100.
Fusing cards gives your specialists more HP, better defence, reduced damage from crits, and other powerful bonuses, depending on the level and experience of the specialist partner card you use as the material.
Wing Fusion
Similar to the system for Mysterious Hair Dye, in the future you’ll find a new item in the NosMall – the Wing Changer (Random)! This gives you a certain chance to transfer the appearance of your wings to another pair, allowing you to benefit from the powerful effects of one set of wings, while enjoying the appearance of a different set you prefer.
There’s a button on your specialist card allowing you to reset the original appearance for free, in case you ever have second thoughts about your choice. Please note that the wings newly added to the game will not be available for Wing Fusion.
