With Season 16 closed and the ladder reset, it's time to get to know this month's Officer Club Championship participants that will be playing for their share of the $1000 prize pool. Let's congratulate the following players for their qualification:
Jking7
0CanadaBear0
wild_eyes
Blue_Blast
少妇白洁
AriBigBehn
Titan
Darkness
Remember, in the Officer Club Championship, the top 8 players of the season will fight for a $1000 prize pool. The pool will be split in the following way:
1st place - $500
2nd place - $300
3rd place - $200
All players must bring three decks from three different major nations. Once a player wins a match using a specific deck in a series, they can not bring that deck again until the following round. This means that to win the tournament, the winning player will have to win with each of their decks, making each player only as strong as their weakest deck, inevitably making for some exciting and entertaining matches!
The decklist will be made public, and we will broadcast with comments on the fighting. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn some tips and tricks from the best KARDS players. Use this knowledge to your own advantage in regular matches and the upcoming KARDS Open #2 (sign up and participate!).
The third Officers Club Championship (OCC) will take place on the 15th of August at 15:00 - 22:00 UTC. Join us for all the action covered by community casters and experience a unique insight into the highest level of play in KARDS.
We are super excited to share with you all the details for the second KARDS Open!

Let's dig into the details!
Single-player campaigns
KARDS five main nations - Britain, Germany, Japan, USA, and the Soviet Union - each receive their own unique campaign inspired by some of the most iconic battles of the Second World War. You can use one of three strategies to complete each campaign (more about that below).
The Tunisian Campaign
Following Operation Torch and the fall of Morocco and Algeria, the race was on for Tunisia.
Take charge of the British forces on their march to Tunis City to capture the capital and facilitate the surrender of all Axis forces in the area.
You have available the following strategies (more about strategies below).
Travel by the coast and getting naval support
Gain support from the Vichy French for numerical superiority
Outflank the Axis with your 'Blade Force' and American allies
El Alamein
In this campaign, you take charge of the German Afrika Korps sent to Libya to stem the advance of the British. Take the fight to Egypt, securing Alexandria and the Suez Canal itself.
You have available the following strategies (more about strategies below).
Rely on Rommel's tactical prowess to get the most out of the troops
Secure the supply route and dominate in the long haul
Call in the Italian forces close in hand for support
Fall of the Philippines
Imperial Japan is on the offensive as they invade the Philippines hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Successfully taking control of the Philippines secures a supply line from the Japanese home islands, provides a stepping stone for further conquests and deprives the US of an advance base in the region.
You have available the following strategies (more about strategies below).
Focus on your jungle warfare experience
Rely on your air superiority
Go for the brute-force approach with battle-hardened units
Guadalcanal
The Guadalcanal campaign was the first major allied land offensive against the Empire of Japan. The island contains an airfield that can prove decisive in turning the allies from waging a defensive war into an offensive one.
You have available the following strategies (more about strategies below).
Strengthen and rely on the core of the US marine force
Focus on securing the Henderson Field for air support
Rely on the US navy for support and keeping the Japanese at bay
Battle of Moscow
Operation Barbarossa saw Germans advance far into the Soviet Union on all fronts. After Kiev, most of the trained Soviet reserves were depleted and the Germans are on Moscow's doorsteps.
Take charge of the Soviet defensive to halt the German advance to Moscow and take advantage of the winter to turn the tides of the invasion.
You have available the following strategies (more about strategies below).
Retreat your elite units from the Far Eastern front for support
Rely on the people of Moscow to dig entrenchments and anti-tank ditches into slowing down your enemy
Call in the reserves and get as many able bodies on the field
Strategies and upgrades
Each campaign offers three different strategies (see above) to achieve operational success. You will receive different units and orders throughout the campaign, which can vastly change the approach to victory.
Each different strategy requires an entirely different approach and is inspired by historical events.
As you progress through the campaign, you will upgrade your units to better tackle what is to come and provide multiple different paths to success. The combination of different strategies and units to enhance results in fun and engaging replay value for each of the campaigns.
105 new cards
Theaters of War brings 40 new unique playable cards, 8 for each of the main nations for your collection. You earn the new cards as you complete each phase of the campaign.
As you progress, you unlock the complete set for each card (all 4 standard cards, all 3 limited or both special cards), getting 21 cards per nation or 105 for all 5 nations.
Have a look at our pre-release review of all cards in Theaters of War. The analysis includes some of the top players in KARDS and gives great insight. https://youtu.be/AZRZA1mLlDo
New Headquarters and boards
Each campaign comes with a unique headquarter (HQ) that provides a new and unique board setting.
These HQ’s can then be used in other game modes where you invite your opponent to your board setting. Each campaign also comes with a unique card back for the nation, further allowing you to personalize your presence in the game.
If you are one of the few elite players finishing a campaign completing all secondary objectives (stars), you will get a special emote.
Purchase with gold or currency
Theaters of War is available now in the KARDS shop (in-game). You can purchase the campaigns individually or as a bundle.
You can purchase the campaigns either with currency or with in-game gold.
The individual campaigns cost either $7.95 or 100 Gold. The bundle of all five campaigns costs $29.95 and saves you up to 25%.
Feedback
We are looking forward with great excitement to Theaters of War how you will successfully complete the various campaigns.
Your feedback is precious, and we would love to hear your opinion.
