Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition - magdalena.marcinkowska
Our community means a whole lot to us. We want you at the forefront of our decisions and to shape the future of the Dying Light franchise.

This is why back in June, we launched the beta for the Community Ideas section on Pilgrim Outpost. Since then, we’ve received thousands of your suggestions letting us know what new features, mechanics, weapons, and more you want to see in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Today, we are revealing the first wave of those ideas to kick off the community vote. And that’s only the beginning! We will be regularly updating the catalog with new entries. The ten highest-rated ideas at the end of each month will be sent to our developers for review. Anyone with a Pilgrim Outpost account can vote. We cannot wait to start implementing your suggestions.

Vote for your ideas and submit your own here: https://pilgrimoutpost.techlandgg.com/goodies/community-ideas.

Be sure to also check out Community Maps. Every Wednesday, our developers spotlight one custom map that was created by you, the community. It’s the least we can do to honor our ambitious architects. So, if you wish to load up a community map in the game but you’re not sure which one, head back to Pilgrim Outpost for a developer recommendation.

Finally, we decided to create a new section on the website dedicated solely to you called Community. It will contain both of the already mentioned community pillars — Community Ideas and Community Maps. Our team will continue to expand it in the future. Your passion motivates us every day!

If you have any other bright community ideas, you know where to go. Pilgrim Outpost will always have its doors open.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition - jakub.kurowski
Dying Light 2 Stay Human celebrates The Walking Dead comics’ 20th anniversary

Techland is throwing a huge birthday party within Dying Light 2 Stay Human in honor of the iconic franchise! Skybound Entertainment’s The Walking Dead comic books are turning twenty this year and the players will be able to join the celebration.

The Walking Dead Event is a week-long series made up of a variety of challenges, yielding different rewards. It starts on July 26th at 4 pm CEST, with the end set for August 2nd at 4 pm CEST.

Each day, there is a new Personal Goal, such as killing enemies using ranged weapons or dismembering the infected, rewarded by a unique Comic Cover – think Dying Light 2 Stay Human meets The Walking Dead aesthetic – that can be gathered by the player in-game. Each collectible, featuring stylized art from famed Polish artists Marek Oleksicki and Łukasz Owdziej, is made available only on a specific day, as it is assigned to a corresponding Personal Goal. The players who manage to get all 7 Comic Covers can try to reach the Collection Goal. Those who complete it will claim The Walking Dead memento weapon charm as a prize.

A very special treat awaits particularly dedicated fans. We are talking about Lucille – Negan’s infamous barbed wire bat! This weapon can be won only by the most ruthless players. To get the item with blueprint, you need to complete the Weekly Goal by killing 850 enemies in total throughout the event. But that’s not all – there is one more prize to be claimed. If players of Dying Light 2 Stay Human prove themselves to be truly ferocious and slay 160 million enemies together, the Global Goal will be fulfilled and everyone will get Sheriff's Hat as a reward!

For those seeking to complete the look, The Walking Dead Bundle is available for purchase for $7.99 – offering Rick Grimes’ Outfit as well as The Walking Dead Paraglider for added flavor. But if iconic weapons are what you’re after, this bundle will also meet your needs, and then some. Lucille is, of course, the queen of that bunch – but Michonne’s Katana is no less emblematic of the comic book series. Add to that Negan’s Knife, and you’ve got yourself an arsenal capable of repelling any enemy, alive or undead. All three weapons are available with their blueprints.

Neither walkers nor infected will get into the Pilgrim Outpost – but you can visit it for more information. Don’t forget to check out the trailer, too!

Bloody Nights Event

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition - jakub.kurowski
Techland’s Good Night, Good Luck update is poised to bring about considerable changes in Dying Light 2 Stay Human gameplay, with improvements to the parkour systems and an overhaul of the night experience.

In the dead of night
The day and night cycle has always been at the heart of Dying Light franchise. This update aims to emphasize the differences in gameplay by ensuring that the night has a heavier, almost horror-like feel. To accomplish that, the visibility is significantly reduced, making the player more reliant on the upgraded flashlight that casts dynamic shadows. The sound design also enhances the atmosphere, with music taking a backseat to effects. What is more, the infected show up in more locations, like Volatiles roaming the rooftops, making no place truly safe after sundown.

Give it a good run
Sometimes the only way to survive is to run away. Not only are the chase sequences more immersive now, but there are also further improvements introduced to the parkour. Other additions include animations, increased control in the air, and maintaining momentum.

While parkour is the highlight of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, some experienced players wanted it to be more challenging. Techland responded to this feedback by introducing a new parkour style, specifically designed to cater to these wishes. Now, players can select in the Settings menu whether they’d like to exercise more control over their movement, for a grounded and intense journey, or go with the assisted gameplay.

Adventures across the map
The third pillar of the update are the Community Maps[/url]. Techland is cooperating with mod.io and giving the players a rare opportunity to access maps created by modders right from the game – without the need of downloading any additional applications or editors. This means a lot of new levels and content to play, demonstrating the unbridled creativity of Dying Light fans. Currently, this feature is supported on PC only, however, it will be coming to consoles and Steam Deck later this year.

Ride off into the (Harran) sunset
The other noteworthy additions include boosted graphics on ultra mode for PC, and a new color grading option called “Harran Sunset”. Additionally, the player will now be able to throw weapons and retrieve them later. The developer also included some modifications to the user interface and added more transmog options.

Zombie days of summer
Good Night, Good Luck ushers in the Summer of Horrors – a series of events, crossovers, and updates spanning the entire season, all the way into September. To celebrate this launch, Techland calls all Nightrunners to test their skills against Volatiles in a Bloody Nights event, starting 29th of June 16:00 CEST until 13th of July 16:00 CEST. The rewards for completing the challenge are: 3 Huntress' Regular & 3 Elite Mission Tickets, Crossbow and Bolts Blueprint, along with The Prick's Outfit. On top of that, Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be on sale for the duration of the event.

Fans of the living dead will be thrilled to find out what Summer of Horrors will bring next. There is a collaboration brewing between Dying Light 2 Stay Human and The Walking Dead that is bound to pique interest. It was first teased during Summer Game Fest – watch this space for further updates.

Do what you must to survive the night – and stop by the Pilgrim Outpost to find out more.
