We're very happy to announce that we finally got the long-awaited Steam achievements working for Rusty Lake: Roots. We choose a total of 16 different achievements for you to unlock. Downside is that we are a bit afraid that your progress will be lost when you update the game; this happened before with previous updates and we don't have a solution for this yet.
Sorry you guys needed to wait so long for us to add the Steam achievements... It was a big technical challenge for both the Windows and Mac version. We hope it all works now correctly, if you encounter any issue, please email us at info@rustylake.com




Next to this we are continuously working on new content. At te end of March we launched a new free game in the series:
Cube Escape: The Cave. It has a lot of connections with Roots and you can find out more what is happening in Rusty Lake.



We are now working on a bigger premium game again, which we are very excited about, stay tuned for updates on our blog.




We also made a bundle available for both Rusty Lake Hotel and Rusty Lake: Roots, if don't have both games you can buy them now as a bundle with a 15% discount.


Not but not least we added 14 languages for the store, if you see an error in your language, please let us know :)

Wow we're relieved Roots is ready for sale on Steam!

We worked all night to get the game ready for you in time, finishing some last translations and walkthroughs. When we published the game on Steam this morning we got really quick feedback on one of the levels: “The Staircase”, where people are encountering a black screen causing them to reset the game. We got this fixed right away so all users can download an update (if you buy it now it's fixed, so no worries). Thanks for the quick feedback!

For all players who experience a small glitch, please try the Reset level option in settings first. If you experience any trouble you can try again. If the reset doesn’t work, let us know (by PM or info@rustylake.com) so we can fix the glitch in an update! If you're stuck you can also check the free walkthroughs on our site, just hit the walkthrough button in settings.

The translations are still in beta, our translators have worked really hard on getting the translations done (without that many context). Please give them a few days to make the right fixes :)
