April Fool's Day Patch Notes

Updates to W40K: Inquisitor - Martyr will be released. The updates will be applied automatically after the scheduled maintenance and when your Steam client (in on-line mode) is restarted. Please also note that during maintenance, players will be unable to login.

New Features
  • 5 new DLCs are available from the in-game store.
  • We have added continent selection when launching the mission. You will now have to scan the POI's continents to find a suitable LZ in order to start the mission. There will be an additional loading screen when changing continents.
  • Added a new Inquisitor Royale mode to the PvP panel where 50 Inquisitors are dropped into the Warzone to test their might against each other.
  • Starmap traveling is now mandatory and the quick mission launch tab has been removed from the game.
  • Added a Barber Shop to the Command Bridge where players can spend Caligari Credits to style their characters' hair.
  • To foreshadow and test our transition to the mobile platform, players can now manage the Command Bridge from their phones via our new mobile app. Download it here!
  • New Map setting: Monastery
  • Added a new NPC, the Ink Visitor who may sometimes visit the Command Bridge. He constantly talks about monsters and has a ghost as a companion.
  • Players can now purchase Loot Caches from the in-game store for 1$ apiece. These loot boxes are also obtainable via spending 2000 Fate points.
  • Added Parental Controls to the game. Gore and violence levels can be controlled via a passworded slider within the Game Options tab.
  • Due to the popularity of the console port, PC support ends for Martyr at the end of 2019.
  • The Main menu has been revamped to promote Starmap traveling. It can now be only reached from the Aethon System.
Balance
  • The Aethon System's PR requirement has been bumped up to 3200.
  • Suppression is a vastly underrated mechanic in the game so we have doubled the suppression resistance of all Elite and Medium type enemies.
    • Subsequently, all Elite and Medium type enemies now deal 45% increased Suppression damage.
  • Added a new stat, Clumsiness, to the game. Characters with high levels of Clumsiness may drop grenades and fizzle their own weapons during combat.
    • Loot boxes purchased from the in-game store now have lower Clumsiness stats than regular items.
  • To reduce mission preparation time, all Inoculators now have random effects.
  • Warzones now never end.
  • We have felt that the leveling pace is too slow, therefore we have reduced mission XP gains by approximately 50%.
  • All cutscenes are now unskippable.
  • Added a new "Report Cheaters" feature to the ESC menu. Players reported 10 or more times will be automatically banned.
  • Using emotes now has a slight chance to cost 2 Fate points.
  • Players now lose a portion of their experience when they die. The loss is determined from the Power Rating of the mission.
Crusader
  • The Crusader's movement speed has been reduced slightly.
  • The Crusader now has a slight chance to be crushed by his summoned turrets if the direction is misaligned.
  • Crusaders are banned from the Barber Shop.
Assassin
  • Dodge has been reworked. Players can now Dodge in 16 directions, all of which can be custom bound via the Interface Options panel.
  • The movement speed of Assassins is now increased by 30% if they customize their gear to be colored red.
  • The Assassin's melee arsenal lacked variety, so we have added the following variations to all Assassin blades: Doppler, Gamma Doppler, Case Hardened, and Crimson Web.
Psyker
  • Psyker Warp Anomalies can now randomly summon other players to the multiplayer session.
  • The Psyker's performance was lacking across endgame so max-level Psykers are now doing roughly 50% more damage with all specializations.
  • Due to community feedback, we have switched the Psyker back to the old model.
Fixed Bugs
  • Various localization fixes
  • Improved stability across all platforms
  • To improve the stability of the Inventory, a loading screen has been added.
    • To improve the stability of the loading screen, all loading screens now last approximately 20% longer.
  • Fixed a bug where console players sometimes received over 30 FPS. The human eye can only see 24 anyways.
  • Fixed a bug where the Starmap did not have enough Spaceship Datahunt missions. Now there will be plenty more.
  • The blueprint for Digital Weapons now has a new icon.
  • Fixed a bug where player progress was saved upon hitting Alt+F4.
  • Meme Virus has been removed as per to the new EU regulations.

Balance
  • Flavius Draken's HP was increased by 1000 and he now has health regeneration in 'The Inquisitorial Fortress' mission
  • Imperial Guardsmen in Rescue and Defense missions have been buffed: HP increased by 100% and Defense increased by 15.
  • The damage of Renegade Militiamen has been lowered

Fixed Bugs
  • The DLC assignments can now be cancelled and be completed later on
  • Cutscenes no longer interrupt active buffs on the player
  • The Shotgun's Flechette round skill now properly applies Shock on enemies
  • The Arc Sword Voltaic Strike skill's combination attack did not work while the Fabrication Distortion Field was active - this has been fixed
  • Added a baseline 1 second cooldown for Inoculators so players can't accidentally deplete the entire capacity
  • Fixed an issue where the VIP instantly died in the Panic Room on one of the Starmap missions
  • Clarified the Tithe Collector heroic deed's description so it indicates that only credits from missions and caches count for the deed
  • The Death Augury skill's description now properly shows that casting the skill increases the player's Warp Heat by 20
  • The Adamantium Heat Sink passive skill's description has been corrected as it affects all the weapons which are capable of overheating
  • The Sniper's Mark skill inflicts +20% Ranged damage upon targets who are further away than 10 meters. The skill's description has been changed accordingly
  • The Symbiosis mastery's description now properly indicates that it affects only allied units and not the caster
  • The Precognition skill's description has been fixed to clarify the skill's mechanics
  • The Eviscerate skill's Traumatize tag has been clarified to indicate that enemies are rooted when using the skill
  • From now on the damage dealt with the Sniper shot skill on Leman Russ, Talos and Cronos units is affected by the skill's default damage multipliers as well
  • Updated skill description for Consecrated Capacitors
  • Updated skill description for Volatile Output
  • Updated skill description for Superheated Discharge
  • The Deadshot perk's description has been corrected, now it properly indicates that it adds extra damage only if the player uses a ranged weapon
  • Fixed a visible hidden area on Open World maps

Возможно вы в курсе, что у российских игроков были проблемы со входом в игру в силу определенных технических ограничений, на которые мы не могли повлиять. Поскольку эти проблемы не удавалось устранить на протяжении нескольких месяцев, мы приняли решение временно прекратить продажу игры в России.
 
Но вот ситуация изменилась, и как раз к началу Второго сезона! И это еще не все. Когда мы приостановили продажи в России, игра еще находилась в раннем доступе. Сейчас же она доступна уже в полной версии. Мы добавили Темных Эльдар в рамках Первого сезона с совершенно новой сюжетной линией. Увеличили порог максимального уровня персонажа – сперва с 50 до 70, а теперь – с 70 до 80. Добавили два новых подсектора. Добавили специальный игровой режим Warzone для персонажей максимальных уровней и множество новых типов миссий. А еще новые Приоритетные задания, перки, карты Таро, предметы и сильно улучшили интерфейс. Если вы знакомились с игрой во время раннего доступа, но затем столкнулись с проблемами с подключением, сейчас в секторе Калигари вас будут поджидать совершенно новые впечатления.

We are happy to inform you that we have fixed the connection issues affecting Russian players, and Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is now available again in Russia.

As you might have read or experienced, Russian players had troubles logging in to the game, due to very complex, wide-range connection issues, that were beyond our control. Since this issue lasted for months, we decided to temporary stop selling the game in Russia, until we find a solution.

The time has come, just in time for the Chapter 2 update. But that's not all. When we first halted the sales in Russia, the game was in Early Access. Since then, we left Early Access and released the game with a full campaign. We added the Dark Eldar faction in the Chapter 1 free update with a brand new storyline. We increased the level cap, first from 50 to 70, and now in Chapter 2 from 70 to 80. We added two new subsectors. We added a special end-game mode called Warzone and a lot of new mission types. And we added new Priority Assignments, Perks, Tarot Cards, items and many quality of life improvements. If you were playing during Early Access, but left due to the connection issues, you will have a brand new experience awaiting you in the Caligari Sector.

in the past we've mentioned that we have gathered an enormous amount of feedback from the community since the game's release. Now is the time to talk about putting that feedback to good use.

Along with free content such as chapter updates, and DLCs, we are working on another new, major, free update that is a little bit different from what we had before. This update will not only add more to the game, but changes quite a few things in their core. All of these changes were made solely on user feedback. We're thankful that you recognized Martyr's potential, so, with the help of your feedback, we would like to announce an upcoming update:

Martyr 2.0 - Touch of the Omnissiah

Indeed, we felt like we have to have a clean sheet when we began planning this project. Our primary goals were extending the game's co-op capabilities along with adding quality-of-life improvements to various areas of the game. We felt the need that players should be able to access missions easier and quicker, and of course, itemization was also a priority. This is why we'll add a mission selector, and offer players who have done the tutorial at least once the option to skip those introductory missions.

To boost variety, we will add new items and new skills to the mix as well. Higher-end content outdates rather hastily in the current version of Martyr, and this is why we want to improve this situation with scaling the Warzone (and its rewards, of course) towards max-level at all times.

Moreover, Challenges will be available for players as part of a new Challenge System, refreshing an unlocking on certain days, rewarding successful Inquisitors with the most powerful loot in the Imperium, along with experience.

Regarding Crafting, we are planning some important changes as well. We feel like the current form and mechanics of Crafting is not rewarding enough, so changes will be made to allow players to really make use of this feature.

Once again, we would like to thank you for your feedback that led us to these changes - it could not happen without you.

Here's what's coming in the Touch of the Omnissiah update:

...of course, you are probably wondering, "this sounds nice, but when do we get all this stuff?". Even though work has started on this project long ago, changes like these take time. Our plan is to release this major update in the first quarter of 2019, as a completely free patch. Of course, as it is with development, these features may change in the long run, but the outline is clear.

Console players, you need not to worry - these changes will arrive on the PS4 and Xbox One as well - we will update our Roadmap accordingly, so be sure to check in every once in a while!

Thankfully, the second Chapter of the Caligari Sector has arrived to tide you over with loads of new content in the meantime.

New DLC: City of Suffering

Enter the City of Suffering where the Drukhari hunt their human prey on a larger scale. Hinder the Xenos plans, take down as many Pain Catalysts as you can and make them pay for every Imperial citizen they steal.

This DLC contains a unique leaderboard game mode with a new starmap location. (Please note that this starmap location is only available after unlocking the Triglav Subsector.)
